Would You Like Me To Include You In My Meditations?

“Through my love for you, I want to express my love for the whole cosmos, the whole of humanity, and all beings. By living with you, I want to learn to love everyone and all species. If I succeed in loving you, I will be able to love everyone and all species on Earth… This is the real message of love.”
~ Thich Nhat Hanh

Meditation is the cornerstone of my life. It is the first thing I do when I wake up each morning. It is the last thing I do before I go to bed.

I don’t just meditate to find stillness and peace. I also use meditation for shamanic and mystical work. I use it to connect with and help my students, I use it to access healing, and to share and support energies.

This week I’m working on some very specific areas for emotional and spiritual healing that may also have an impact on physical well-being too.

For the next few days I am focusing on supporting you to move through and begin to resolve feelings of loss, fear, anxiety, overwhelm, emotional isolation and powerlessness. My aim is to find the places where emotion has become stuck inside you, causing you to become out of alignment. I am also looking for the old stories, traumas and memories which are subconsciously shaping you in opposition to your soul’s true nature. In my meditations I will dissolve these outmoded energies and stories, returning them to love and releasing their patterns from your energetic field.

As your energy comes back into alignment with your true nature, your vibration will rise and you will be more easily able to express yourself creatively and emotionally. It will increase your sense of self-awareness and self-trust.

I meditate twice a day, morning and evening. I also connect with some people during my night-flying practices. If you’d like me to include you or a loved one specifically in my meditations just let me know in the comments below.  And, of course, I love getting feedback about anything you notice as a result of my meditations.

Much love, Nicole xx

Balance And Re-Energise Your Chakras With This Quick Exercise

“If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.”
~ Nikola Tesla

Chakras are energetic gateways or portals. Each has its own colour, and governs different areas and emotions within the body. I have meditated on each of the following images, and programmed each picture to energise, open, balance and heal your chakras.

How to use today’s blog:

  1. Slowly scroll down the page, gazing at each picture in turn.
  2. Notice which picture (or pictures) is more vibrant and attractive to you.
  3. Go back to that image (images) and spend a little longer.  Draw that colour deep into your body.  See if any words, impressions, emotions or images come up for you. You might even want to use that as the beginning of a journalling activity. These colours will feed and energise your chakras and are great indicators of what chakras are already flowing and working well or in the process of opening and healing.
  4. Also pay attention to any pictures that seem very flat and energetically unappealing. Note what chakra that picture relates to.  Once again see if any words, impressions, emotions or images come up for you. This flat energy will correspond to chakras that are blocked, stagnant or stuck.  Send them some white light and a little extra love.
  5. Run your eyes over the images again.  See if there is any change.  Eventually you’ll find that all of the pictures have an equal brightness as you come back into balance.

Chakra Journal Challenge – Week 7

“When I dare to be powerful, to use my strength in the service of my vision, then it becomes less and less important whether I am afraid.”
― Audre Lorde

Hello, and welcome to Week Seven of our Chakra Journal Challenge!

Every Tuesday in March and April I will post a Journal Challenge for you, based upon a journey through the main chakras. You don’t need to know anything about journalling, chakras, crystals, oracle cards or energy work. I’ll explain everything that you need to do each week. Then you’ll have a week to complete the simple activities I share.

If you’re only just joining us please go back and read my Orientation Post first.

About the Third Eye Chakra

The Third Eye Chakra anchors our perception. Our Third Eye taps into the pineal gland which works with our brain to create images beyond what we can physically see. The colour of this chakra is Indigo – a rich purple-blue.

The Third Eye Chakra is the most powerful chakra in your body for creating through vision. The activity of Imagining/dreaming,/visualising yourself as you would like to be in the world (so that you hold a perception of reality now but also the reality that you would like to see in the future) taps into the command center of your brain. What your mind sees cannot be differentiated between real or imagined so if you keep feeding your brain through your Third Eye Chakra, through your imagining wonderful images, your brain will accept this as reality, and your life will begin to shift to match that new reality.

Seeing energy, tapping into clairvoyance, telepathy skills, intuition, psychic perception – that’s the other thing that the Third Eye Chakra is all about. And of course it’s where you appreciate everything that come to us through vision, including things like art.

When the Third Eye Chakra is balanced you will find it easy to hold a positive picture of yourself and a positive picture of your future. You will be inspired and optimistic. You will feel spiritually connected and spiritually curious in the world. When your Third Eye begins to flow and ‘wake up’ you have a sense of interest and excitement about tapping into your higher intuition and you often have that questing feeling; that needing to feel more, be more, experience more from a spiritual and metaphysical point of view.

When the Third Eye becomes really overactive, you often have headaches and sometimes you can even have hallucinations, nightmares and bad dreams. When you feel detached from yourself, detached from the world, in your head too much and not able to find direction or feel joy and inspiration from being able to imagine things, then you know you’ve got a low-functioning Third Eye.

Weekly Structure

Each week of this nine week challenge will follow the same format:

  1. We will begin with the short guided meditation for the week, using your guidance stone. During this meditation you’ll be given a colour to work with for the week, and a word or phrase.
  2. We will choose an oracle card to give us inspiration and direction for the week ahead.
  3. We will spend ten minutes (or more if desired!) to complete our weekly journal prompt.
  4. We will give ourselves healing energy at least once this week.
  5. We will spend a few moments at the end of our day in gratitude.

Guided Meditation:

Today we’re going to use the sound of my Tibetan Singing Bowl in our meditation. You’ll need about ten minutes for this exercise.

Allow the sound to enter your Third Eye Chakra. Feel like you are opening a doorway in your forehead for the sound to enter.

Then just listen to the meditation as directed.

Allow your Power Word and Power Colour to come to you.

You can listen to the meditation here:

Journal Prompts

Now answer the following questions, writing as little or as much as you need:

  • What does your Power Colour mean to you? What words or ideas does it provoke? Write them down. Then use that colour to boost your energy. Shut your eyes for thirty seconds and breathe it into your body whenever you feel a bit flat or low. Wear it as clothing. Choose flowers in your colour. Eat food that colour. Be creative with it.
  • How can you use your Power Word this week? Write a few ideas, based on your word. Trust whatever comes and write it down. Don’t overthink it.

Want to go deeper with your journalling? Try these additional prompts. Write the beginning of the sentence and then keep going, using stream of consciousness. Do one or all of them. You’ll be amazed what you might discover about yourself!

  • When I connect into the energy of my Third Eye Chakra it makes me strong to think that…
  • When I connect into the energy of my Third Eye Chakra it makes me scared to think that…
  • When I connect into the energy of my Third Eye Chakra it makes me curious to think that…
  • When I connect into the energy of my Third Eye Chakra it makes me excited to think that…

Your Chakra Card For The Week:

Take your chosen oracle or tarot cards, offer up a small prayer that whatever you do be for your Highest Good, and then shuffle the deck. As you’re shuffling, ask the question ‘What wisdom does my Third Eye Chakra have for me this week?’ Say it out loud or hold it as a thought in your head. Either will work.

Choose one card. How you choose is up to you. Split the deck. Fan them out. Top or bottom. Dive right in. There is no right or wrong.

Now look at your card and hold your guidance stone in your non-writing hand. Really look at the card. Don’t use the book or the ‘proper’ meaning. We are being intuitive here, people! What stands out for you in the picture? What thoughts and ideas do the images provoke? Take a minute or two and write those thoughts down. I know, you might feel like you’re just making it all up. That’s okay. Write anyway. Trust that there is a part of you that is wise and that has been waiting for this chance to speak with your conscious mind.

Here’s an example of my first journal pages for the Third Eye Chakra:

Hands On Healing:

This week our hands-on healing can be done at any time during the day. It’s a great healing to do last thing at night, in bed, just before you go to sleep.

  1. Sit or lie comfortably and with a straight spine.
  2. Shake out your hands and activate your hand chakras. (Can’t remember how? Go back and review our Orientation Post)
  3. Now gently use the fingers of both hands (not thumbs) to tap lightly on your Third Eye Chakra which is in the middle of your forehead
  4. Then place one hand on your forehead and one hand on your heart. Let white light flow from your hands into your body.
  5. When your body is filled with light, run purple light from one hand to the other, in a  gigantic healing loop. Feel the purple light connecting your heart and your mind. Feel your Third Eye Chakra energising and opening.
  6. Let the colour of the energy change as you do this, if any other colours come to you and feel right.
  7. Finish with white or golden light into your body.
  8. Sit quietly and be open to any psychic or intuitive connection or information that may come. Hold yourself open to vision and understanding about your best self and highest expression.

You can also do this healing  when you first wake up. Enjoy!

Practicing Gratitude

The Gratitude Rock anchors positive energy and gratitude at the end of every day.  You can carry your stone with you, or leave it beside your bed.  At night, before you go to sleep, hold your Gratitude Rock in your hand.

As you hold the stone say to yourself: I am richly Blessed. I have an Abundance of Good in my life. Then hold in your mind one or more image of a thing you have been grateful for today. Swell that positive energy up in your heart like a beautiful golden light, and give a heart-felt Thank You, Thank You, Thank You to the Universe. Visualise a tiny shower of golden light travelling from your heart into your Gratitude Rock.

Now here’s the fun bit – imagine all of the other people who are taking part in this journalling challenge with you. Once again build up a strong positive energy in your heart, and then imagine shooting a stream of golden light out into the Universe to those people.

Say Thank you. I Bless You. I intend for you Love, Miracles and Abundance.Know that as you are saying this for them, they are also saying this for you. Feel that connection and gratitude and know that there is real love and support for you here. Place your rock back beside your bed, and go to sleep, cocooned in this good energy.

Forgiveness Meditation – Mini Online Chakra Wisdoms Retreat Day 4

“Be the one who nurtures and builds. Be the one who has an understanding and a forgiving heart one who looks for the best in people. Leave people better than you found them.”
~ Marvin J. Ashton

Forgiveness is one of the more valuable gifts that we can give ourselves.

The energies of the next three days are well suited for all forms of forgiveness work. It’s one of the big things we are working on here at my Chakra Wisdoms retreat.

In today’s mini online retreat that follows along with our own, I encourage you to sit in that energy of forgiveness. Forgiveness of self. Forgiveness of those who have wronged you. Forgiveness for bad decisions and mistakes and all other manner of hurt and regret and opportunities lost or dreams uneventuated.

I recorded a meditation yesterday during our residential course here in Byron Bay. It is a raw and unedited recording with a few background coughs and snuffles but they won’t disturb your process.

There are also a few concepts and terms that you may be unfamiliar with, so let me briefly explain them here:

  • The zero point field is a quantum physics term. Think of it as the space between all matter – a space of darkness and possibility that flows through and links all things, everywhere.
  • Your soul anchor is a chakra that sits deep with the earth. Think of it as a small black sphere that is positioned well below your feet and within the liquid part of the earth’s core.
  • Your thymus chakra is located on your chest, between your heart and throat chakras. It is turquoise in colour, and is the seat of compassion, forgiveness and oneness energy.

Chakra Wisdoms Forgiveness Meditation

To listen to this meditation, sit or lie with a straight spine. You’re welcome to hold your favourite crystal too. Then simply close your eyes and follow along to the sound of my voice. You’ll need to set aside fifteen minutes for this exercise.

Journalling Forgiveness

If you’d like to do a little more work around the energy of forgiveness, use your oracle or tarot cards and journal to explore this in more detail.

Shuffle your cards, while holding the question ‘Where have I held myself back by failing to forgive?’

When you have shuffled the cards and they feel ‘done’, select just one card. How you choose that card is up to you. You can split the deck. You could take the top or bottom card. You could fan the cards out and take one from the array.

Place the card face up in front of you.

Clear your mind by closing your eyes and taking one deep breath in and then out. Open your eyes again. Take a minute and look at the picture on the oracle or tarot card.

What stands out for you? Is it an image or a colour? Is it a number or a word? What are your first impressions?

Write these down in your journal.

Now let’s go a little deeper. What feelings or words does this card evoke in your mind when you think about the card and its images in relation to your question. Take five minutes and just write some stream-of-consciousness thoughts down. Don’t censor or judge them. Trust your intuition..

Now repeat this same process for the final two questions:

‘What positive energies do I reclaim by forgiving myself and others?’

‘If I bring my attention to it, where will I get my biggest breakthrough?’

Thinking of you and sending so much love, Nicole xx

PS – Today is our last day of retreat so there will be no blog post tomorrow. I will be catching up on some much-needed sleep. Thanks for your understanding <3

Chakra Wisdoms Retreat – 23 to 28 July, 2016

“Who in the world am I? Ah, that’s the great puzzle.”
~ Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland

“And you? When will you begin that long journey into yourself?”
~ Rumi

“At the center of your being
you have the answer;
you know who you are
and you know what you want.”
~ Lao Tzu

I have one more residential retreat this year – my Chakra Wisdoms Retreat, to be held at Sangsurya, Byron Bay from the 23rd to the 28th of July.

I’m really excited about this particular retreat. It’s the first time I’ll be offering it, and the content is material I’ve been working on for over 20 years.  This isn’t your ordinary Chakra course. This retreat is essentially an opportunity to connect more deeply with your Soul Energy and Personal Magic than you might ever have thought possible..
This course will take you on a shamanic journey – where you’ll keep one foot in this world, and learn to operate with one foot in the spiritual realms at the same time. This mystical journey combines the wisdoms of sacred geometry with a new way of working with and understanding the 16 major chakra points within our body and auric field for these post-2012 energies. Whether you’re looking to find new ways to heal emotionally or physically, to activate your own intuitive and psychic abilities, incorporate powerful new techniques into existing healing modalities, to enhance your metaphysical connection, or simply to understand yourself and others better for business, love and life – this retreat offers all of that and more.

In Ancient cultures our transitions from childhood to puberty, and from puberty to adulthood were marked by ritual, ceremony and the exchange of information. The rituals were especially important for individuals with psychic awareness. These individuals were given specific training in meditation and energy techniques to help them to connect with and explore their abilities, to travel deep within themselves, and to move into connection with the spiritual realms.

A shamanic journey is a journey within. This sacred journey allows us to access a level of consciousness where we can more easily tune into intuitive and spiritual guidance. We learn to listen to our bodies. We learn to listen to our hearts. We learn to listen to our souls and our own inner wisdom. We learn to listen to the Earth, and to all that surrounds us.

On such a journey we often discover things deeply buried – all manner of gifts and longings and talents neglected. We are able to practice Soul Retrieval as we connect to the aspects of ourselves that have long been lost, shamed or shunned.
When we embark on a shamanic journey we gift ourselves space to become whole again, in flow again, and we experience growth and peace.

My Expanded 16 Chakra System is based on work that I have channelled over the past few years, but that began for me with some initial transmissions back in 1996. I knew then that the body of work I was bringing through would not be suited for use for many years to come, but I worked diligently anyway, trusting that everything would come together at the right time, and that time is now.

In order to journey to connect with our Sacred Spirit, we will use these sixteen chakras as a map. Each chakra will be explored and discussed individually, culminating in a final integrated journey through each chakra. This is a process that always evokes deep shift and personal insight.

My Expanded 16 Chakra System incorporates universal wisdoms, colour, sacred geometry, energy and light. It is a simple but profound system that will enable you to do healing, clearing and attuning work on yourself and others. It is not aligned with any philosophy, religion or doctrine.

You can be a complete beginner with chakras and still work effectively with this system. It is a teaching method that will enable you to be empowered to know yourself better and to make changes in your life based upon your understanding of your own body and energetic connection, and that can accommodate your own spiritual beliefs. It will help you to identify your places of flow, and your opportunities to move out of stuck-ness.

On top of all of that, I’m just so excited about this new retreat and the content that we’ll be teaching because it is simply magical in the results that it will bring to your life. I’m proud to share it all with you, and I know you’re going to adore this journey as much as I do. Chakras, crystals, energy work, meditation, sacred geometry – what’s not to love!

sddefault (1)It will be absolutely fine if you come to this work knowing nothing about chakras at all. We will step through each chakra, one by one, so that you can feel it, connect with it and understand it.

Chakras are energetic gateways or portals within the body. They each hold their own energy signature, and influence upon your physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual bodies.

Using meditation we will journey into each chakra, and use this energy to deepen our understanding of ourselves at a soul level, and how we can better express our own soul energy in our daily lives.

This retreat will help you to identify your own Power Chakra, the one chakra that is naturally dominant in your body, as well as the Chakra most likely to block or weaken during times of imbalance, ill-health or insecurity. You will learn how to strengthen and support these chakras to stabilize your thinking, health and behaviors, and to live from a position of integrity and personal power.

There’s so much more to tell you, but that’s a start! In short, you’ll be given an energetic handbook and simple techniques that can bring about profound positive shift and healing in your life, and that can help accelerate your personal and spiritual development and enhance your intuitive and psychic skills.

We haven’t advertised this course yet, and already we only have a few places left. Perhaps one of them is meant for you!

To find out more email my wonderful PA, Dana Hartnell, directly at nicolecodyinfo@gmail.com and she’ll send you some more information and an Expression of Interest form.

Guided Meditation for Orienting Body Awareness

“Whatever happens to your body, your soul will survive, untouched…”
J.K. RowlingHarry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Here is the first in a series of seven weekly guided meditations I am recording for you.

We are spiritual beings in physical bodies. This guided meditation will help you to be aware of both your energetic or ‘soul’ nature, and your physical vehicle. It will orient your chakras, and connect you into the earth and wider universe.

You’ll need to set aside about half an hour for this meditation. Sit or lie somewhere quietly, using pillows or blankets if needed to make yourself comfortable. Then simply close your eyes and follow the sound of my voice. It’s fine to let yourself fall asleep during the meditation, or immediately afterwards.

If you’ve never worked with chakras before, don’t worry – it’s very straightforward. I’ve included a picture below

The recording was made at dusk, outside at my farm. I’m sitting under my favourite tree, and you can clearly hear the cicadas, birds, cows and crickets in the background. Let them add their healing energy to this meditation for you too. 🙂
