Monday Oracle – 27 November 2017

Hello, Lovelies!

November is a month for knowing ourselves deeply, for healing old hurts and for prioritising and redesigning our lives so that they better represent the person we are and the person we want to become.

Keep that in mind as we look at the gifts which the oracle card Impasse brings us.

So, what awareness does Impasse bring us this week?

This week we find ourselves at breakthrough point. The things that have held us trapped begin to dissolve or come unstuck.

For some people this will be a gentle easing – a simple shift that brings a gradual return to power or direction, or a slow dawning realisation that changes everything. This could be the introduction of one tiny achievable daily habit, or a decision not to drink alcohol during the week, or the urge inside you to clean the house or buy some new clothes and freshen up your appearance. Perhaps the shift will be towards acceptance of something, so that your circumstances don’t change but your attitude does (think acceptance of your illness, or of your partner leaving, or that who you are is who you are and maybe it’s time to be okay with that). The shift will be small enough that you don’t fight against it, so the change will sneak in slowly and you’ll have adjusted and re-calibrated to that shift before you fully understand just how momentous it will be for your life.

For some people there will be a light-bulb moment this week: a thought, an idea, a conversation, a resource from which inspiration comes. ‘That’s it!’ you’ll think to yourself as something lights up inside you. Suddenly you’ll know what to study, what to offer, what to call yourself, what to do. It will all make perfect sense and you’ll have answers to problems you’ve grappled with for months or even years, and the beginning of a clear path forward.

For some people the clearing of obstacles this week will be sudden and even violent. Things will change fast. There will be endings, beginnings, urgency, discomfort or pain as you are required or forced to move forward. If you don’t choose life will choose for you, or someone else’s choices will turn your world upside down. It’s as if you’ve been swept up in some crazy tsunami. Remember this: keep breathing! Know that your job is to keep your head above water and trust. The turbulence will eventually subside. The waters will calm. You’ll wash up some place far, far from here and when the shock wears off you’ll see that this is a much better place, and that you could have got here no other way.

This is a week for overcoming obstacles, dissolving inner blocks, rediscovering momentum and clearing the way for major change.

If you’re deep in this process seek help to clear, ground and integrate these energies and changes. But don’t fight it. Flow, flow, flow in all you do.

Another great week ahead for us this week! 😀

If you read my forecast for November, you’ll know that it’s a month for knowing ourselves deeply, for healing old hurts and for prioritising and redesigning our lives so that they better represent the person we are and the person we want to become.

Keep that in mind as we look at the gifts which the oracle card Faith delivers.

So, what awareness does Faith bring us?

This week we see our limitations, and at the same time we begin to understand that we can move past them. We also see where the limitation was only a perception, and that we may have been thinking wrongly about ourselves or a situation.

The energies of this week make us aware of the fear we hold inside and the stories we tell ourselves over and over again at the first hint that something may not work out as well as we’d planned. In the past these fears have held us rooted to the spot, terrified of acting, in case… well, our head fills that space with an ever-expanding list of things that could go wrong. To which we add the voices of our negative teacher from the second grade, that mean girl who bullied us at high school, our disapproving parent and the friend who is always helpfully pointing out our faults and issues.

Faith connects us to a higher perspective this week, from our own Higher Self, our Angels, Guides, Ancestors and God. All we need to do is become quiet in ourselves, let ourselves become peaceful for a moment and then listen. Listening is a full-body thing; we need to be open to every sensation, image and thought.

From this new place of understanding we can move past fear, we can create a new reality, we can move from stuckness to that place of possibility, we can forgive ourselves and tell ourselves better stories that help instead of hindering us as we strive to live our best lives.

A Week For Clarity – Monday Oracle 30 October 2017

You’re going to LOVE the energies of this week. 😀

If you read my forecast for October, you’ll know that it’s a month of energies of love, friendship, community and togetherness. It’s also a month for getting creative and for self-acceptance. November, which is just around the corner is a month for knowing ourselves deeply, for healing old hurts and for prioritising and redesigning our lives so that they better represent the person we are and the person we want to become.

Keep that in mind as we look at the gifts which the oracle card Perception brings us.

So, what awareness does Perception bring us this week?

This week our hearts just know. We get it. We understand. Perception orients us to what we want, what we need, what we’re good at, and where to from here. Maybe you won’t get the whole picture yet, but you’ll get enough clarity to make a start and keep on going. The other bonus? With this clarity and understanding comes bravery, so that we can act on what we know.

It’s a week where we can begin to align ourselves with the things that reflect our values and interests. A week where we can begin to see how to use our gifts and talents in ways that make us happy and that give our lives meaning, or where we can be of service. This week we’ll also see where we are not happy, and what’s no longer working for us.

Perception is about tuning in and discovering or remembering what truly matters. It’s our hearts and souls connecting back in to our brains again. Use this week to journal and plan, to mind map, to talk things through, to pull some oracle cards to get clear, to get the advice you need, to create your action plan, to get started.

Gratitude; A Way to Comfort Ourselves – Monday Oracle 27 March 2017

Hello, Lovelies!

Here’s the oracle card I have chosen this Monday, and my take on the energetic outlook for the week ahead. If you read my forecast for March, you’ll remember that March is all about creating systems and structures which make your everyday life more supported and sustainable.

So, what gifts does Gratitude bring for you this week, and how does this fit in with March’s energies?

Let’s be honest. Life can be difficult. It can be a roller coaster. Sometimes we get a run of wonderfully memorable days. Some days it seems we are stuck in an endless cycle of days we’d rather forget.

Gratitude reminds us to keep bringing our heart back to what matters most. Not just in the good times, but the bad times too. Gratitude isn’t about having a positive attitude. It’s about finding the things that can comfort or warm us, despite what else might be happening in our lives.

What matters most to you?

Who matters most to you?

Are you giving enough time to these relationships, causes and activities in your everyday world?

If not, it’s time to rewrite the script of your life so that what matters and what makes your grateful is well represented instead of something that becomes a reward at some distant time in the future after all your to-do list tasks have finally been crossed off.

Be aware too that our vulnerabilities and old hurts, especially those old wounds from childhood, are close to the surface right now. You might find yourself just a little more teary than usual. You might need a little extra quiet time to find your way forward as you finally step away from the past. You might need to break down in order to break through.

Reach out to trustworthy friends or family. Seek help if you need it. Actively work on letting go of what no longer serves you. And of course, in the midst of it all, count your blessings and cultivate gratitude for the things that matter to you in your life.

Surround yourself with what supports you and uplifts you. Do what you can to uplift others. But never at the expense of yourself.

Be gentle with yourself this week.

I often wear it as a perfume. Believe oil is a super stress-buster that boosts feel-good energies and self-esteem. It smells so uplifting and pretty too. Choosing Joy Now! – Monday Oracle for 20 March 2017

Hello, Lovelies.

The oracle card I have chosen to guide us this week is ‘Joy’ from the Chakra Wisdom Oracle Deck by Tori Hartman.

If you read my forecast for March, you’ll remember that March is all about creating systems and structures which make your everyday life more supported and sustainable.

So, what gifts does Joy bring for you this week?

This week is a week for filling yourself up. Worry less about other people. Worry less about being judged. Worry less about your endless to-do lists and all the things you want to change about yourself.

Instead, give yourself over to life.

Go live it. Right now. Even though it’s not perfect. Even though you’ve been waiting until some mythical things from the future align, or you’ve ticked off enough tasks to allow you to feel that you can deserve whatever it is that your heart craves.

Just go live.

Live with gusto.

Run around in the sunshine. Dance in the rain. Go for a bike ride or a swim in the ocean. Get a massage. Go play in a bookstore or library. Groove to funky disco tunes at home in your pyjamas.

Meet your friends for coffee and cake.

Be silly with your kids and giggle like a two-year-old.

Hold hands with your beloved, and remember all the things you adore about them. Put your phone down and actually spend time with your sweetheart. Look into their eyes instead of into a screen.

Cry in sad movies. Stay up all night reading that book you can’t put down.

Use that beautiful soap someone gifted you that’s too pretty to use everyday. Drink out of the good crystal or the best china. Wear what makes you happy.

Joy reminds us to live now. So go do that, okay?

Flipside of that? This week be mindful about staying away from people and situations that kill your joy. Make plans to enable this to be more permanent if you have reached a place in your relationship or your job where being there is stealing your soul, rendering you into nothingness or breaking your heart.

My favourite green healing crystals for overcoming infections and strengthening wellbeing:

Bloodstone: For detoxification, emotional and physical strength, and removing pathogens.  Excellent for calming all forms of distress.

Green Apatite:  This beautiful stone clears the energy fields around the body, supports the heart and reduces inflammation. It provides gentle nurturing energies and encourages a sense of optimism.

Green Aventurine: For cleansing and stimulating the lymph, supporting the nervous system and improving circulation.  Helps contain and remove feelings of negativity, overwhelm and exhaustion.  Opens you to joy.

Green Tourmaline: Increases the efficacy of medication and herbs, reduces nausea, dissipates  pain and builds stamina.  Great for all physical heart-based issues too.

Moss Agate:  Strengthens the immune system, normalises hormone levels, helps shield the body from stress. Calms agitation, reduces food sensitivity and aids the ability to sleep. Also encourages healthy brain function

Crystals can be a great comfort, even if all you do is hold them, pop them under your pillow or place them beside your bed.

My Favourite Crystals for Grounding

“In my opinion, it’s more interesting to see magic happening in a world that feels grounded. If the world is already crazy, then anything can happen. So it’s better to start with something real.” ~ Michel Gondry

Being grounded is all about being centered within our body, having a sense of calm, and enjoying a deep connection and engagement with the world around us. When we are grounded we make better decisions, we behave in ways that are more authentic, and we own our power.

But sometimes we become unsettled by life.  Too much sugar and caffeine, not enough sleep, stress, trauma, interacting with unbalanced people, hormonal imbalance, a big shock, taking other people’s energy into our own aura (healers are often guilty of this!) – any of these things can leave us feeling ungrounded.

Symptoms of being ungrounded include:

  • feeling vague and unable to focus
  • anxiety with no cause
  • sudden dizziness
  • falling asleep while meditating
  • ‘cranky and out of sorts’ that comes on for no reason
  • hungry but food doesn’t satisfy you
  • inability to sleep
  • heaviness in the body
  • feeling ‘spaced out’
  • emotional and over-reactive
  • craving sugar and junk food
  • nausea
  • mental confusion
  • inability to focus on simple tasks
  • feeling like someone just unplugged your power cord
  • sudden exhibition of the same unpleasant thoughts or emotions of someone you were recently with

* Please be aware that some of these symptoms are also signs of a more serious illness.  Use your best judgement, and if in doubt, always seek medical advice.

Staying Grounded in Uncertain Times

However, when faced with a situation where one of my students or clients needs to get grounded fast, I am a big fan of rocks.  Crystals are super grounding tools, and so easy to use.  All you need to do is hold one, wear one or slip one into your pocket.

Here are some of my favourite grounding stones:

Black Tourmaline

I just love this stone! It is so powerful it can slam you back into your body fast, but gee, it never feels rough or violent.  It’s so gentle in the way that it treats you that I find it perfect for children, sensitive souls and those people experiencing deep emotional turmoil.  It also anchors your into your Earth Star Chakra (about 12 to 18 inches below your feet) and keeps your Earth Star Chakra open and connected into the earth. I never leave home without one…

A tourmalinated quartz will do a similar job, although less powerfully, but it will also keep your aura shielded, strong and bright.

Jasper

Who doesn’t love jasper?  There are so many varieties of this earthy stone, and all of them will work with grounding you, so I always advise you to choose what you’re attracted to or what strongly repels you.

Jasper helps you feel at home in your body, and at home in the world. It is wonderful for transmuting negativity and heavy emotions, replacing them with a sense of wellbeing and emotional balance. It realigns your chakras and ‘snaps you into place’.

Jasper is gentle, and it takes a little while for the affects to be felt, but that’s why I favour it for people with long-term imbalances like anxiety and depression, ADD, ADHD, post traumatic stress, bi-polar or chronic illness.  It has a strong mothering energy, and it is a superb nurturer.

I’ve included some charts of the various jaspers below – as you can see, there are many beautiful stones to choose from.

Bloodstone

Bloodstone is actually a base form of chalcedony and the red spots that look like blood, hence giving this stone its name, are dots of iron oxide or blood red jasper (see jasper above).

Bloodstone is a crystal I use a lot with clients who are are suffering the effects of toxicity – be that toxins from diet (sugars, artificial sweeteners, chemicals etc), the effects of being in a toxic relationship or working/living with toxic people, or toxins from long-term illness, infections or pathogens.

This crystal gives courage, and aids mental and emotional clarity.  It strongly detoxifies your physical, emotional and energetic bodies, and allows you to gain strength and energy.  It anchors and connects your heart, base and earth star chakra, and strongly gets you ‘out of your head and into your heart’. Bloodstone helps you stand firmly  in your own truth.

Green Aventurine

When you’re overwhelmed, jaded, broken-hearted, exhausted and at the end of your rope Green Aventurine is a perfect grounding stone for you. This stone is a variety of quartz, with fuschite and mica inclusions.

Green Adventurine cuts through misery and enables us to feel joy again.  It helps us to remember that we are in a body (as opposed to living bogged down in feelings or emotions) and it is very healing for the nervous system, lymph and circulation.

A positive side affect of this stone, besides grounding us back into our bodies and opening us up to joy again, is that we often feel inclined to eat better, to exercise and enjoy the benefits of living in a body.  It helps re-engage us with the physical aspect of ourselves and the world around us.

It is also strongly connected to the Devic Kingdom and Fairy Realms. Needless to say, most children adore this stone!

Septarian Nodules

This attractive combination of minerals include aragonite, calcite, chalcedony, limestone and mudstone (the grey muddy bits!).  Septarian Nodules aren’t for beginners.  I use them to rebalance people who have become ‘unbalanced’ doing psychic work, energetic healing, counselling or within a therapy-based business.

They clear our psychic connection, anchor us into our base and earth star chakras, clear out and balance ALL chakras, and help us to come back to ‘true’. Awesome for clearing energies and entities from our aura just by holding the stone.

Unakite

Unakite combines a form of red jasper with epidote (the green part of the stone).  I use this stone for grounding people who are emotionally distressed after experiencing disruptive family or home life.

It is brilliant for anyone (including children!) going through relationship breakups, relationship transitions or life transitions.  It encourages strength, openness and optimism.  It is very restorative for the physical body and encourages healthy sleep patterns.

Pearls

I know you’re probably shrugging your shoulders here, wondering why I have included pearls, as they are an ocean ‘stone’.  But I love the gentle mothering energy of pearls and mother-of-pearl.  It is perfect for babies, the elderly, the dying, anyone who is very weak or frail, and for souls whose point of origin is starseed (ie not from Earth).

Pearls connect us to the wider cosmos, and help us feel at home in the greater scheme of things.  They also gently connect us into our Higher Selves, helping us to feel connected, grounded and expanded.
