All of the energies this week support shift, change and growth.

But there’s one thing you need to use as a magical key to unlock the block that has been holding you back – just one thing that can change everything…

You need to act!

Even the smallest step this week can lift you out of stuckness. In fact smaller steps are great. It’s the bigger actions that usually through us into overwhelm. So choose something and begin.

The Week Ahead – Oracle for Monday 13 February 2017

Hello, Lovelies!

Here’s the oracle card I have chosen this Monday, and my take on the energetic outlook for the week ahead. I use any oracle or tarot cards shown as a prompt for channelled messages and my own intuitive wisdom, so my take is sometimes quite different to the meaning found in a book. ‘Growth’ is from the Chakra Wisdom Oracle Deck by Tori Hartman.

If you read my forecast for February, you’ll remember that February is all about turning inwards, and tuning in to our own wants and needs, staying true to ourselves and our goals despite our fears or what other people may tell us.

So, what gifts does Growth bring for you this week?

Growth reminds us that it takes time to work out who we are. It’s okay to be unsure. It’s also okay if it feels quite strange to begin honouring our own wishes, desires, decisions and needs after a lifetime of putting them second or hiding them off to one side.

Be aware – a side-effect of you beginning to speak up, or behaving and choosing differently is that some people might suddenly think that you’ve gone mad. Or that you need advice or therapy!

When we shift and change it can be quite confronting for the people around us who are still in the same space, and who expect that we’ll keep on being the same too. Our change creates change in the status quo for them, and change can be uncomfortable.

Growth reminds us that change and uncertainty are okay. There’s nothing wrong with you. You don’t need to be fixed because you’re not broken. You’re just evolving.


A big old tree began as a seed, which became a tiny seedling. Over time it grew and grew until it took the form you see today. But just like you it’s a work in progress. How the tree looks today is not how it will look in a year’s time or ten years time. Life is about change.

Embrace that concept of change this week. Grow. Move towards the light.

Trust your intuition and instincts. Keep growing, even if you don’t know yet what you are evolving into. It will all be okay. Embrace not knowing. Just keep growing!

Supportive crystals this week? Ametrine, White Howlite, Fluorite, Orange Calcite, Labradorite, Moonstone, Carnelian. Go with the one that feels right to you, or choose a few.

Helpful essential oils?  Young Living’s Joy or Acceptance essential oil blends, or  a combination (or singly!) of any of Rose, Rosemary, Lemon, Vetiver and Lavender. The Joy blend is fabulous if you are feeling anxious or uncertain, or a bit sad or stuck. It’s reassuring and uplifting; wonderful for gently shifting depression and self-doubt.

Why am I sharing this with you?

Well, seeing the progress of my blog broken down into sections, statistics and accomplishments really helps me to appreciate what is working, what isn’t, who to thank, and what I might like to do more of, or better, in 2015.

Whether you are a blogger or not, WordPress’s Year In Review concept will work for you!

This process of review is so important to me that I spent the last week of 2014 looking at the year that was – creating an overview of my psychic business, my health, my writing and my personal life. Doing that review gave me a very clear picture of where I am right now, and how far I’ve come over the past twelve months.

Based on that review, and on my 2015 Power Word, which is BUILD, I am now going into a 5 Day ‘Planning Summit’ here at my farm. This week I’ll be planning my year ahead so that I can make the most of these energies of 2015.

Sounds so impressive, doesn’t it – a whole week of planning?

LOL! In truth it will be me, the kitchen table, a mad amount of coloured pens and butcher’s paper, notebooks, endless tea, and brainstorming – overseen by the ever-patient Ben, Cafe Dog and Nurse Bert. Dana, my awesome PA, will be joining me for part of the summit, and I’ll also be skyping some of my key people (*waves to Bek, Anna and Milene*) who’ll be helping me get things done this year.

All of our hard work will be punctuated by naps, swims in the pool or the ocean, long walks down to the river, and time sitting under the big trees, contemplating life.

There may also be cupcakes.

I urge you to do a Year In Review for yourself for 2014, and then to create space for your own little 2015 Planning Summit for this bright new year ahead.

I’ll be blogging more over the next little while about some useful techniques and resources for making your plans, and then (and most importantly!) turning them into action.

Goodness, I’m so grateful for all of your friendship and support over the past year.

Getting Ready for Our Final Guided Meditation

A few weeks ago I started a series of seven weekly guided meditations, and tomorrow I shall bring you the final meditation for this series.

This last meditation is designed to anchor us into the unfolding energy of the Universe.

So, for you to make best use of tomorrow’s meditation, I need you to do a few simple things in preparation:

1) Find a photograph of you as a small child or baby.

2) Find a photograph or even an object that belonged to one of your ancestors. Choose someone who is/was your grandparent, or even from the generations before that.

3) Find the crystal that we used in last week’s meditation. If you did not join us for that meditation choose a stone or a crystal that feels good in your hands. Place it outside on the earth, rest it in the soil of a houseplant, or place it on a windowsill where it will get natural daylight and moonlight for at least six hours or overnight. Retrieve it tomorrow before we start the guided meditation.

4) Think of something that you deeply desire to manifest in your life. Get clear about what that is. If you have time, journal about it to create as much detail as possible.

5 Tips For Creating Change

Change is rarely an overnight thing. True, lasting change usually requires more energy than that. Here are my five top tips for creating positive change in your life:

1. Don’t wait – begin it now. Don’t wait for the perfect time, for the stars to align, or for some magical sign. Change can begin today. Right now! All it takes is for you to decide and commit.

2. Start small. Real small. Tiny steps are good. 🙂

3. Be consistent with that small thing. Do that small thing every day.

4. Pick one thing, just one thing. Don’t overwhelm yourself with a whole pile of newness. Just do one small thing. Consistently. You can come back to the rest later.

5. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Chances are, someone’s already been there, done that and got the t-shirt. Someone already knows how to get the thing you want, how to have that success, how to do that thing which means so much to you. Is there a website, a course, a mentor, a book, a coach that can help you?

Above all, remember this. It’s never too late to begin. Some of the most profound changes in people’s lives have come about from tiny, consistent actions.

There’s a Change in the Air…

Can you feel it?

There’s great shift coming. Great change.

There’s nothing you need to do, if you choose to stay where you are. If you want your life to keep looking like it always has. If you want tomorrow to look like yesterday.

But, if you are ready for change, or even if you’re just prepared to contemplate it, then this energy that’s coming will help you to shape a new tomorrow.

If you want to, you can ride this energy of change. You can choose – in this moment – to make fresh choices, new decisions, take a different direction, start something, end something, begin again.

Take some time to consider your life. Aren’t you ready for this shift? Aren’t you ready for something other than what you have right now?

The whole Universe is conspiring towards your success.

If I had one piece of advice for you today, it would be this:

Let go of the past.

Look forward.

Dream boldly.

Believe that it’s possible.

And in any way you can, begin!

Don’t Confuse Fear with Intuition

So you’ve decided to do something new…

It always starts well, doesn’t it?  You feel good about it.  You get excited.  You know you’re ready to commit.  You’re hungry for change.

You say YES to that thing. You prepare to set sail for that new horizon.

But between the space of thinking about that thing, and actually getting there, we always hit a place where the waters flows more slowly, or where we might even find ourselves becalmed. Even when we do get into flow it can look mighty strange to new eyes.

What then?

Doubt.  That’s what.

We start to notice a little niggle. Maybe the niggle becomes a quiet voice.

“I don’t think this is for me.”

“I won’t be able to do it.”

“I’m going to let everyone down.”

“This feels all wrong.”

The more you pay attention, the more you begin to talk yourself out of it.

“I don’t feel good about this,” you say to yourself. “It’s a sign.  I must learn to listen to my intuition.  My intuition is telling me no.”

You begin to back away.

You end up back where you started, and the thing that set your soul on fire, the thing that called your name, drifts further and further out of reach.

Let me share something with you.  That wasn’t your intuition calling to you.  That was fear.  It was your intuition that first lit you up with excitement about that new idea. It was your intuition that led you to that thing you thought you wanted.

Because you did want it!

But our ego is designed to keep us safe.  And every time we extend our limits, it gets uncomfortable.  Our ego freaks out a little and then it freaks us out!

The bigger the gap between where we are and where we want to be, the louder our ego will protest.  It’s only doing its job. Your ego is going to get uncomfortable any time you try and grow. It creates big clouds of doubt and fear, and it hopes you pay attention. It wants to keep you safe, and stuck, and right where you are.

So don’t confuse fear with intuition. Anytime we try something that’s going to grow us, we move into the unknown, and it feels unfamiliar and strange.  Even a little scary. But if we sit with it a while, we find that we’re okay. And before we know it we’ll feel good about this new place. Down the track we’ll become so familiar with the new place that we’ll get the urge to grow, and this process will start all over again.

Telling yourself a better story

I really haven’t had that exciting of a life. There are a lot of things I wish I would have done, instead of just sitting around and complaining about having a boring life. So I pretty much like to make it up. I’d rather tell a story about somebody else.

We all tell ourselves a story.  We often tell that story to others too. Our story is the way we see ourselves in the world, our view of what’s happened to us in the past, and who we are because of it.

Sometimes our story is sad, sometimes, it’s funny, sometimes it’s downright terrible.  And we trot that story out time after time; for ourselves, our families, our friends…

But what if that story doesn’t serve you? What if that story compounds low self-esteem, or failure, or loneliness? What if that story is a constant reminder to us of a painful time in our lives?

The Law of Attraction states that whatever we think about most and talk about most is what we draw to us.  That or things of a similar vibration.

You need to ask yourself if you want to keep living that story.

Because maybe it’s time to write a new one…

Journal Exercise:

Today, write yourself a new story.  Make it up, like any good writer would, but let it have a few bones that are real.

Tell yourself a story that is empowering and positive.

Look for examples from your life that illustrate a different truth for you – of times when things have worked out, when people have been kind or helpful, when you’ve known success, when miracles have happened.

Or, if you are feeling brave, or creative, just write a new and entirely ficticious account of your past, present or future.

What is the life you would like to live? Write about that AS IF IT IS ALREADY HAPPENING!!!

Here are a few prompts to get you started.  Choose whatever most appeals and then start writing:

  • My life is unfolding in the most exciting of ways…
  • The place I’m living now is so well suited to me.  It is…
  • You’ll never guess how it happened.  It all worked out perfectly in the end. One day…
  • So we’ve been together for…
  • And one day a letter came in the mail and it said…
  • The doctors couldn’t believe it…
  • My life is so blessed because…
  • It’s my dream life.  I have to pinch myself to remind me that it’s real. Now my world looks like…
  • I answered the phone and you’ll never believe who was on the other end…
  • OMG! This is exactly what happened, and it’s FABULOUS…
  • It feels so good to be able to…
  • My career is going from strength to strength.  Already I have…
  • I’ve planned the most amazing holiday.  It starts with…
  • Such wonderful relationships in my life.  Let me tell you a bit about them…
  • Now there’s no more money worries because…
  • My proudest moment is…
  • I finally achieved…

Words really do have a magical power in your life.  So choose them wisely – when you write them, speak them, think them… Expect magic and know that you are worthy and deserving of good in your life. NOW is your time to invite the future to look different to the past.  Believe! ♥

Take heart, because everything changes. No matter how stuck you feel right now, how burdened or exhausted or unhappy, know that it will not last.  Nothing lasts forever.  Everything changes.

While that is also true of our fondest moments and happiest times, it is usually when we are stuck deep down some hole, helpless and hopeless, that we most need to be reminded of this eternal truth.

This baby elephant fell down a drainage well in Thailand, but don't worry - he was later rescued, unharmed.

If there is no glimmer of light where you are, then look inside yourself.  Use the light of your own heart to guide you.  Use the heat of your own love to warm you.  Hang on. Take courage.  Get through things the best way you can.

And as the earth revolves, and the sun goes up and down, eventually there will be a ray of light again to illuminate your world, a helping hand to lift you up, or an idea in your mind that will elevate you from where you are right now.

Writing Your Way to Better Health

Your Body has its own wisdom; it knows what it needs to heal itself and be well, it knows what it needs to be energised, it knows what it needs to come back into balance. Your Soul knows what your ideal physical body feels like, looks like, moves like. Your Mind knows what it needs to feel calm, centred and balanced, happy.

Writing has great power. Today’s journalling exercise is all about using the power of words and visualisation to manifest better health and to help understand and create your ideal body.

Journal Activity

Over the next week use the following journal starters and write as much or as little as feels right for you.  Begin by transcribing these words (the ones in coloured ink) into your journal. Then choose a journal starter that resonates for you and let the words flow.  You can use the same journal starter more than once if it really resonates.

Dear Soul-Body, Heart-Body and Mind-Body, 

There are things in my life that I would appreciate some help or guidance with right now. I know some of these can be quickly sorted, and some may take more time. I am open to the wisdom you need to share with me, I am open to however this works.

Inner Child Work:

Often we think that the best way to find guidance is to look to someone older and more experienced, or a Guide, Angel, God or our Higher selves.

There is however, a wonderful source of Guidance within you, known as your Inner Child.  This is the refreshingly honest, loving and very caring part of you who can tell you with all the affront and careful attention of a five year old, what’s really going on in other parts of you.

The best way to work with your Inner Child directly is to have a conversation between the Big you, and the Little you.  You can do this through what is known as Left Hand – Right Hand Dialogue.  It’s an easy thing to do!  Simply find some different coloured pens or pencils.  Use your dominant hand (the one you usually write with) to be the Big you, the conscious awareness of you as an adult.  Choose one pen for this hand.  Then use your non-dominant hand to represent your Little you, and let that hand pick a pen, or pens to write with.

Have your Big You write a question for your Little You, and then let your Little you respond.  The writing will be awkward, and don’t worry about spelling or vocabulary.  What you’ll get is honesty, and love, and isn’t that all we really ever need to get started?  You can do this to work on health problems and blockages in your life, and you can even get your Little you to draw and create works of art.  Enjoy experimenting!

Art Journal Activity – Inner Child Drawing

Using coloured crayons or pens, have your inner child do a drawing of you with your non-dominant hand.  Feel free to also use other materials and collaged images as well as words.

Now use a left hand, right hand dialogue as described above, to ask your Little You questions about what the drawing represents, and any advice they have to give concerning this.  Be prepared for some surprises!  This is a great technique for working with health and diet, and other aspects of wellbeing.  And may bring to the surface things you’d never even thought of!
