How You Shape My Morning

“Never believe that a few caring people can’t change the world. For, indeed, that’s all who ever have.” ~ Margaret Mead

Good morning, Lovelies!

It’s just after 5am. I am here at my desk, about to begin writing my blog, and I thought today I would share how you shape my morning routine.

I was awake a little before 4am, as I always am, to meditate. Right now I am meditating twice a day for the students who recently attended my ‘Connect to Your Calling’ Retreat. I check in on each of them energetically and work on them as they need it. Then I tune in to you. I offer up my prayers for you and your families. I send you love and healing, I hold the intent for you that you know yourself, care for yourself and are able to express your unique personality and gifts in the world. I send love and light and peace to situations, places, people and leaders. And finally, I ask how I can best serve you today which is usually how I come up with whatever I will write in my blog.

My husband is still sleeping. My dogs are asleep. The world is quiet. It’s just me, holding space for you. This is my sacred time. The time where I can reach out to you, or make a positive difference in your life somehow.

I know some of us have never met, in person anyway. But you matter to me. Caring for you shapes my day. You see, when I was younger and very ill I felt so alone. I had no energy for friendships or connection. My first marriage had recently failed. I was completely broke and broken. Each day was a struggle. I felt that if I were to die no-one would even notice. I was socially and emotionally isolated.

Then one day I went into a tiny shop in Brisbane that sold items from Tibet. It became somewhere I hung out at whenever I had the energy. I bought my first singing bowl, and a Buddhist monk taught me some Tibetan meditation techniques using the singing bowl and a mala, and gifted me some mala beads. One day a new group of monks from Tibet arrived and through a translator I learned that they meditated for their community and the world every day. Each of them worked to support different groups of people, and in that moment I understood that somewhere in the world were people I had never met who were including me in their prayers, thoughts and meditations, with the sole intent that they somehow provide comfort or support to me. They explained to me that many monks and nuns from different faiths did this kind of work, and that this work of holding space for people was something I could do too. This was something I had also been shown by my Aboriginal Aunties.

The monks helped me to establish my own meditation practice for serving others, and I have done that in my morning and evening meditations ever since.

Often I have woken in the night because of my connection with you. Perhaps I will hold you in my thoughts and send you love and energy. Sometimes I will get out of bed and contact you directly by message or phone, or I will see that you have reached out to me or have posted publicly about a problem and I will respond. I see that as part of my life, a life where we are all connected even if we have not ever met in person.

This morning I need you to know that in this tiny corner of the world is a woman whose first thought each morning is you. That the prayers I offer, the meditation I do, the incense I light is for you. Know that there are many others who hold that prayerful and loving space for you too. Our humanity unites us, our love and service binds us. Tune in and feel those waves of energy, those ripples of love that are always there for you. You are truly loved. You matter.

So, that is how you shape my morning.

I’m going to make a cup of tea now, and write in my journal. Then the day will unfold and off I’ll go to meet it.

But tonight in my meditation, and tomorrow morning, I will be with you.

All my love, Nicole ❤ xx

See How Our Grid Has Grown…

2016-12-18-12-49-17

“Think about our bodies. We’re a chain of veins and organs and they’re all interconnected. If something isn’t going right in one area, the whole system can get out of whack. That’s the way I see the world. We’re all connected. I don’t see myself as this separate entity. I see things in a much larger scale. Everything I do directly affects another person, all the way down the chain. Every person I help can help another; we’re all connected. Change happens one person at a time. And I want to commit my life to seeing that through.”
~ Katie Kacvinsky

Am I insane?

Maybe.

But I can’t help myself.

I conceived this simple project. To create a crystal grid on my property, to help to provide energetic support for us as we shift from the old energy into the new. For support from our ancestors and guides as we shift old family patterns and beliefs that no longer serve us. As we pattern-break for ourselves and our loved ones. I wanted to help support us as we leave 2016, and this age-old cycle of patriarchal energy.

I created this grid to help our feet find our souls’ own songlines as we walk into the new energy. So that we can become part of this great shift of consciousness by being who we came here to be, and doing what we came here to do as we move into 2017 and this dawning new energetic era.

Each stone takes me three minutes to dedicate.

I choose one that feels right for you. I hold it in my hands, I close my eyes, and I offer up my prayer and dedication – that your family line know healing, that you release old patterns, beliefs and relationships that no longer serve you. That you gently and easily let go of anger, guilt, shame, disconnection, old hurts. I pray and intend that your family line returns to a place of love, flow and abundance. That you move into your heart-space, and reconnect with your own Soul Wisdom. I offer up my prayer that your feet find their way in 2017. That your path becomes clear. That you can more easily be yourself. That you know and express yourself truly. That you live life to your highest potential. That you are loved for who you are. That you come to know how much you are loved.

I arrange the stones I have blessed and take a photo, so I can tag the picture on social media. I want you to feel involved and connected. I want you to know that you are not alone – that you matter, and that you are supported.

Then we carry the stones down to the grid, and I place them, one by one.

After which I go back to the computer, and gather more names, and write new lists and the process begins again.

There are over 900 stones in the grid now. 900 people, radiating love and positive shift to so many more.

I will be adding more stones to this grid until 12pm on Tuesday 27th December, 2016. (That’s Sydney, Australia time) If you’d like to add your name, please let me know in the comments below.

If you’ve already asked there is no need to ask again. I have you.

There’s another way you can help. You can make your own grid. For details go to the Free Stuff section in my shop, and select the Ancestral Healing Grid Instructions. (And be aware that it may take an hour or so for the information to be emailed after selection of this option.) It’s easy to do, even if you’ve never done something like this before.

Know that I’m thinking of you. Know that I’m holding you in my thoughts and prayers. That I’m holding space for you and your family right now.

I might be crazy, but I think this matters.

I love you, and I wish you well,

Nicole <3 xoxo

*Below are just a few pictures of how this grid has grown. Please be patient if you haven’t seen your name tagged yet on my Instagram and Facebook posts. It all takes time, and there are so many names to tag! You can follow me at both places by searching for Cauldrons and Cupcakes <3

And another thought. If other middle-aged women are crazy cat ladies, I must be the crazy rock lady. I easily have 1000 stones in my grid now, and I still have plenty left to choose from…

The Week Ahead – Oracle Reading for Monday 21 November

loversosho

“Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them, humanity cannot survive.”
~ Dalai Lama XIV

“Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.”
~ Leo Buscaglia

Hello, Friends!

Welcome to the fourth week of these awesome November energies.

Here’s the oracle card I have chosen, and my take on the energetic outlook for the days ahead.

‘The Lovers’ is from the Osho Zen Tarot deck, and the powerful message of this card is that love is what is needed right now.

On the most personal of notes, this is a week that encourages you to reconnect with your partner – as lovers, as friends, as confidants. Not many people talk about how much work actually goes into successful relationships. Partnerships are gardens that require regular attention. There is ample opportunity to rekindle the magic and to rediscover what first created sparks and joy between you. It’s a week for forgiveness, for acceptance, and for celebration of your shared history.

If there’s love still there, but you’ve lost your way, or forgotten how to connect and communicate, seek help to get you both back on track and travelling forward together.

Mostly, what relationships need is time spent together. How can you do more of that this week?

In a relationship that’s fresh and new? You will find ways to deepen your understanding of and commitment to each other in the days ahead.

Those of you who are trapped in relationships that are past their use-by date, that are deeply unhealthy, broken, or finished in all but the leaving, will find that this week facilitates decisions to put yourself back out into the flow of life on your own again. The ending of 2016, and the finalisation of this old, old energetic era we’ve been in is the perfect time for freeing yourself up if your relationship no longer serves you.

If you’re single and looking for love, well… magic is in the air. <3

Above all, this week – love yourself! Don’t wait for someone else to do that for you. Nourish yourself with self-care, kindness and compassion.

Love is an emotion that extends far beyond the sexual, or the intimacy of a partnership. Love is always bigger than that…

This week you’re called to reach out to those you care about – family, friends, neighbours, community – and let them know that you care, let them feel the warmth of that connection, and the reassurance that comes from knowing that their life matters to someone. You can do this in so many ways: a hug, a shared meal, a chat over coffee, a phone call or connection via social media or email, an act of kindness, volunteering time or money, writing letters on behalf of those with no voice, adopting a shelter animal, making a donation, joining a group that does good in the world.

Many people have contacted me after my recent post about sensitive and empathic souls and the current energies of upheaval that are affecting us.

I understand that many sensitive souls are having a difficult time right now, and are engulfed with fear, frustration and deep despair around world events.

This week we are reminded that there is always something we can do.

This week we’re encouraged to send love out into the world, and to direct love back to ourselves. Love fills and heals the dark wounds and uncertain spaces caused by fear and hate.

How do we move the world back from the tipping point of divisiveness? Love. Kindness. Compassion. Forgiveness. Inclusion.

Living from our hearts, meditating and sending love into the world, using prayer and visualisation, all of these things help.

When we come from a place of love we don’t talk badly of others, or spread gossip or perpetuate stories that feed the energies of uncertainty and fear.

What the world needs now is not more darkness and argument. We don’t need more violent thoughts or deeds. We need love. We need lifting up. We need kindness. We need laughter. We need understanding and coming together.

We need gratitude for what is good in our lives.

We need to place our focus on what we want, and what is good, rather than devoting any energy at all to the things we don’t want.

love

Supportive crystals for the days ahead? So many to choose from! Rose Quartz, rhodonite, citrine, mookaite jasper, lapis lazuli and malachite.  Helpful essential oils? Young Living’s Joy essential oil blend, or  a combination (or singly!) of any of neroli, rose, ylang ylang and sandalwood.

Wishing you a wonderful week and holding you, as always, in my thoughts, prayers and meditations. You matter to me. I love you.

“…eventually tides will be the only calendar you believe in…
And someone’s face, whom you love, will be as a star
Both intimate and ultimate,
And you will be heart-shaken and respectful.

And you will hear the air itself, like a beloved, whisper
Oh let me, for a while longer, enter the two
Beautiful bodies of your lungs…

Look, and look again.
This world is not just a little thrill for your eyes.

It’s more than bones.
It’s more than the delicate wrist with its personal pulse.
It’s more than the beating of a single heart.
It’s praising.
It’s giving until the giving feels like receiving.
You have a life- just imagine that!
You have this day, and maybe another, and maybe
Still another…

And I have become the child of the clouds, and of hope.
I have become the friend of the enemy, whoever that is.
I have become older and, cherishing what I have learned,
I have become younger.

And what do I risk to tell you this, which is all I know?
Love yourself. Then forget it. Then, love the world. ”
~ Mary Oliver, Evidence: Poems

Today I’m sharing a simple Loving-Kindness guided meditation. Buddhists also know this as a metta meditation. Metta in buddhism means ‘friendliness’. Metta is the heart-generated warmth that reaches out and embraces others. It is also a warmth that we can direct to ourselves.

It is well documented that regular meditation helps us to reduce inflammation, anxiety and depression, to improve our immune responses, better manage pain, feel more happy and calm, and improve our overall wellbeing.

It has also been documented that recipients of the prayers and meditations of others also feel an increase in happiness and wellbeing, and an awareness of being loved.

This introductory meditation allows you to send loving kindness to yourself, and also to a loved one whom you’d like to support.

I’m posting this meditation in support of a girlfriend whose mother is suffering from a profound bout of anxiety and depression. The mother has indicated that it is stressful for her to have her daughter try to help her, and for now she is pushing her daughter away. This simple loving-kindness meditation will help my friend to overcome her feelings of rejection, and to actively engage in sending energetic support to her mother.

To participate in the meditation, all you have to do is sit or lie quietly, close your eyes and follow along to the sound of my voice. The meditation takes 9 minutes, but I suggest that you leave yourself a little longer so you can come quietly and calmly back into the world at the end of the session.

Loving-Kindness Meditation:

I encourage you to practice this meditation often. You will find that it can make a tremendous positive difference in your life over time.

Much love to you, Nicole xx
