How are you travelling so far in 2024?

“Please remember to check in on your strong friend, your busy friend, your happy friend, your ‘seems to handle everything well’ friend.”

Hey, Lovelies.

As we chug through April, I just wanted to check in with you.

How are you travelling?

2024 is a year of evolution; of conscious change – the stuff we choose; and the kind of change that is thrust upon us, and where we need to do our best to cope and adapt. It’s a year of creativity and innovation, and of getting things done and creating success through our own efforts. Have you been feeling that yet? Have you chosen an area (or areas) where you want to make change? Or has change been forced up on you? How are you going with that?

My own focus this year is on health and creativity. I feel like I am making progress in both areas, but it has been a two steps forward, three steps back kind of thing so far, and I am only just starting to feel like I am getting some momentum. There are some things I can’t control (genetic issues and degenerative health conditions) but I am finding that there are still plenty of areas where I can make positive changes, and I might as well try!

I’ve set aside time to see an exercise physiologist twice a week (ever since I got stuck on my own in a hotel bathtub last year, I knew things had to change!), I’m doing regular early morning yoga and resistance exercises, and later this week I’m having a treadmill delivered to the Treehouse so that I can keep working on my cardiovascular fitness and endurance. I love outdoor walking, but there isn’t much worse than walking and suddenly running out of puff and being a long way from home or your car.

I’ve also set aside time for regular writing and editing, joined a local writers group, and signed up for a manuscript editing course. By creating time for these things I am letting the Universe know that they are my priorities, and I am holding myself accountable to that. Because nothing changes if nothing changes, and I want to make the most of these supportive energies around us in 2024.

If you care about something, make sure to give it time this year. If not now, when? Don’t keep putting off the things that are important to you, or that could improve your life and happiness.

This Quarter (April, May and June) the energies are all about awkward adventures in growth – where we get to choose new things and new directions, but where we will be a beginner, or not skilled yet at this thing we want to do, have or become.

I really encourage you to try new things over the next few months, and to do them badly in order to learn to do them better. Everyone has to start somewhere, so you might as well begin. It doesn’t matter that you are new at this thing, and awkward with it. What matters is that you took action and made a start! Things can only get better from here.

So, drop me a line and let me know how you’re going.

Write something in the comments, or shoot me a message.
I care about you, and I want you to know that you are in my daily prayers and meditations.
I believe in you, and I am cheering you on.

All my love, Nicole xx

Hi! I'm Nicole Cody. I am a writer, psychic, metaphysical teacher and organic farmer. I love to read, cook, walk on the beach, dance in the rain and grow things. Sometimes, to entertain my cows, I dance in my gumboots. Gumboot dancing is very under-rated.

  1. oh my, lions and tigers and bears! what a year for anyone who is politically active, a pacifist , a green, an empath. It has been exhausting, having spent too much time in the company of bigots, racists and misogynists. two of my neighbours are renovating. The garden is usually my pressure valve but for a while there, it was too hot, humid and wet to do anything. I am blessed in so many ways but did escape to my daughters house for a week away from all my usual stuff, me, the cello, the chickens, and my son and husband for a couple of days each so I didn’t get too lonely. It sis very quiet in the country at night!

  2. Hi Nicole, that is so what I need to read right now, I am open for change, once again seeking new job opportunities and this time
not forcing things, just going with the flow of the Universe, and also trusting in that too. Moving back home has brought with it revisiting old connections, old memories, and processing all of that, its a mission I feel that I never thought I would end up doing in the end I am grateful and look forward to the future, even when I feel like I am on the same wheel since forever. Thanks for the post Nicole 🙏🌹💐🌺🌟💫🤍

    1. Hine, going with the flow sounds like just the thing. Sending much love to you, and holding positive intentions for you to find wonderful employment xx
