2024 is a year for fresh starts, for creativity, healing and social connection. It’s a year for ambitious projects and for getting stuff done.
April is a month for giving your dreams power, for heightened intuition and messages from the Universe. It’s a time for finding your own answers and speaking your truth.
12. EXPLORE
It’s a week for bold new horizons. The energies of the solar eclipse and New Moon in Aries further support these energies of shift and personal growth, as well as encouraging us to let go of the past. You are supported to try new things, to explore your options, and to create momentum in your life. This includes travel, new homes, new jobs, new relationships and new hobbies and habits.
It’s okay if you don’t have all the answers yet. Stay curious. Be open to possibilities.
If you feel at crossroads, take time to slow down and look for the signs that are all around you. Then feel into your heart-space and inner knowing. What decision or direction gives you a sense of relief, or a sense of possibility? Even if it is a road you have not travelled before, don’t let that stop you. This week heralds the beginning of many positive changes if you are brave enough to move from indecision to committed to a path.
Signs are important this week. What have you been ignoring? Where in your life do you feel that things aren’t working, or that you can’t keep carrying on like that for another year? What is calling you to try something new? Listen to that inner wisdom – look at the evidence in your own life, and honour your true feelings. It’s time for change!
My Top Tip For The Week Ahead:
Be okay with being a beginner, with not being good at something, with facing a steep learning curve, or a bad case of nerves as you try new things. You’ve faced many challenges before, you’ve started from zero, and yet, you have learned much and acquired many skills. Now it’s time to embrace something or somewhere new. You’ve got this!

It’s been a crazy week here at the Treehouse, but not in the best of ways. I’ve had close family in hospital, and others with health issues, which has been a stressful and difficult time. And I’ve been working through a big and unexpected mess left by a former employee. To cope with it all I have been practicing sustainable madness (Don’t know what that is? Go check out my Journeymaker’s Planner!), ensuring that there is simple food in the fridge and pantry to sustain me, going to bed super early, and leaving most stuff until later so that I can run around after my loved ones and do what matters most.
Besides meditation (my prayer beads have really been getting a workout!), I’ve found solace in sitting on the deck or at my window, watching the birdlife and slowing down enough to see the minute details in nature and the many changes that occur over a day in our gardens and wild spaces.
I’ve been home alone, so Harry Dog and Rufous Dog have been in full-on protection mode. They do regular patrols round the house, and race to investigate any strange noise or movement. The flying foxes in the fig tree outside my office, microbats flying all through our house each evening (it’s an open plan house, and so they come and go as if our home was a giant cave) scrub turkeys on the roof and in the trees outside our windows, and water dragons in the pool and on the decks have kept them on their toes. But the most exciting (?) thing was when a giant carpet snake came into our garage while the door was up. It must have hidden itself so I never saw it, but when I left the door open between the garage and the rest of the house yesterday morning it slid downstairs and through the hallway and lounge looking for a place to exit, or a tasty snack – we’re not sure which. The dogs went psycho, and all their barking made the snake decide to retreat over the back balcony and curl its way down the long poles that support our home. Then I had to hot mop the floor to get rid of the snake smell before the dogs would settle down again. Like I said, it’s been a crazy week!
I’m blessed to have neighbours and beloved friends and family who’ve checked in, cooked for me, or cheered me up with good company and offers of help and support. So, it’s all good. Or it will be. And until then, we’re still all okay.

I don’t like snakes, not that I have ever been up close and personal with one
