The Incredible Lightbulb Shortage of 2017

“I don’t have to blow up everything I see. I just like to.” ~ Kell TainerWraith Squadron

Every so often I go through a crazy phase. It gets all intense and then I blow stuff up.

Not that I mean to. I don’t! But stuff blows up anyway. Mostly lightbulbs, although it makes me nervous to handle anything electrical. It’s a psychic thing. Energy seems to build up inside me. I even begin to smell ‘electrical’. It usually starts with poor sleep, then crazy dreams. Progressively I become more and more ‘wired’, then I begin to feel intensely hot and then ‘boom’. Look out lightbulbs!

I’ve tried grounding, using crystals, all kinds of techniques – but experience has shown me that it’s always a passing phase, and eventually it will all settle down and in a few days electrical items will be safe around me again.

Yesterday I blew up nine lightbulbs around my house. All I had to do was touch a switch to turn one on or off and ping, the bulb would blow. It was funny the first time. But after I’d exhausted every spare bulb in the house and all the rooms were in semi-darkness I was a bit over it.

Ben even insisted that he be the one to operate all switches, which I guess was a fair call given that I had become such a hazard. He’s used to this. It happens every year or so.

Has that ever happened to you?

This morning we’re taking Cafe Dog to breakfast and then going in search of more lightbulbs. I might stock up!

Have a fabulous weekend,

Much love, Nicole  xoxo

Getting Ready For November Energies

“Let yourself be drawn by the stronger pull of that which you truly love.”
― Jalaluddin Rumi

November is nearly here. Energetically it’s a month for knowing ourselves deeply, for healing old hurts and for prioritising and redesigning our lives so that they better represent the person we are and the person we want to become.

That’s important work at any time, but it becomes all the more significant as we realise that the work we do in November is setting us up for the year ahead. The actions we take, the choices we make, and the healing, planning and dreaming we do clears the way for 2018, allowing us to consciously begin manifesting the kind of year we intend for ourselves.

I like the sound of that. Don’t you?

I have four things that can help you make the most of the November energies.

  1. My Welcome November blog post, which comes out on November 1. It’s free, and it’s packed full of info on the energies of November, including helpful advice on crystals and essential oil choices to support you in the month ahead. If you jump over to my Cauldrons and Cupcakes Facebook page at 9am Brisbane time on 1 November I’ll be doing a Facebook Live Event to tell you more about the month ahead. It’s totally free and I’d love to see you there. Can’t make it then? Don’t worry. You can catch the replay!
  2. I’m creating a free Guided Meditation to help you release the pain from childhood and from bullying events in your life until now. That will be in my blog post on November 2. All you need to do is come visit my blog that day to access it, or if you subscribe to my blog (link on home page) it will get delivered straight to your inbox.
  3. #GeSHiDoMo 2017 – (Which stands for Get Sh*t Done Month 2017) This crazy month-long online program and community costs just $22 Australian dollars and the pre-launch materials and access begin today so that you can work on your planning over the weekend. We ran this last year as a one-of thing but had so many requests to do it again that we’ve made it an annual event. I’ve created a simple system for planning and actioning your To-Do List in November. It’s a month of fun activities and support to help you get a serious amount of sh*t or a serious amount of self-care done. Lots of videos to help you, and FAcebook Live sessions with me. There are some great prizes, and a really good bunch of people there. You’ll love it! You can read more about it and come join us from here
  4. Soul Sanctuary Retreat – Working With Crystals – Do you need some time for recharging, reconnecting and being re-inspired? In late November I’ll be running my final residential retreat for 2017 in beautiful Byron Bay, Australia. It’s a special time of year for my team and I. We plan this retreat, no matter what the content focus might be, as a week of Soul Sanctuary – time for self-nurture, friendship, reflection, planning and the foundation of some truly life-changing habits. This year’s theme is ‘Working With Crystals’. I’ll be teaching you foundation skills for meditation and self-care, intuitive practices including card readings, a bunch of stuff on how to choose and use crystals, as well as lovely crafty stuff like making your own crystal tools, essences, jewellery and mandalas. We’ll also be using November’s energies to plan for 2018. 2018’s heart-centred energies support connection, collaboration, communication and community. It will be a year for expressing ourselves in the world, for starting and growing life-changing projects, for truly becoming more and offering more of our gifts, talents and wisdom. This Retreat will help you to understand the energies and opportunities of 2018, and get you started with a plan, a full spiritual tool-kit and a personal session with me, focusing on how to make the most of the year ahead. More info here. We still have a few places left, but please act quickly.

And save the dates for the following goodness:

My Christmas Pop-Up Shop, Official 2018 Planner Launch, Channelling evening and workshops (Vision Board for 2018 and Intuitive Oracle/Tarot Card Reading Class) happen on 15 and 16 of December in Brisbane.

Our next Year of ME (ME stands for Manifesting Energies!) year-long membership group with online course, webinars with me, facebook live events and a superbly supportive and caring community launches in early December. More details soon.

I love this time of year. Come hang out with me and let’s share the adventure together.

Biggest love and hugs, Nicole ❤ xoxo

“While others were dreaming about it – I was getting it done.”
~  Nathan W. Morris

Here we are in the final quarter of 2017. It’s a great time for planning for the year ahead, and a very good time indeed for getting stuff done. Which is handy, because it’s almost #GeSHiDoMo time. Some of you will remember that last year we launched a month-long challenge called #GeSHiDoMo. It was such a success that we’re doing it again!

#GeSHiDoMo stands for ‘Get Shit Done Month’ – and I am dedicating the month of November to #GeSHiDoMo, so that we can arrive at December with a bunch of stuff ticked off and completed.

Maybe you’ve got a goal you wanted to achieve, and now Christmas is almost here and you still haven’t made much progress. Perhaps you’ve got a To-Do List as long as your arm, and nothing finished yet. You might have One Big Thing, or a mass of smaller and unrelated things, or maybe you’ve wrecked yourself this year trying to get all the things done and your self-care has fallen by the wayside.

That, my friends, is why I have created #GeSHiDoMo. Whether you have a lot to do, a problem with organising and motivating yourself, or if you actually need to schedule some time-out, we’ve got you covered.

I’m launching the #GeSHiDoMo challenge on Tuesday 24 October. The program is online, which means that no matter where you are you’ll be able to join in. Next Tuesday I’ll post again with the final details and there will be a link in my Shop so you can sign up and get started.

What will you get when you join #GeSHiDoMo 2017?

  • A #GeSHiDoMo Planner workbook to download. This Planner will help you to create your goals and tasks to complete in November. You’ll be able to work out what your priorities are and what kind of #GeSHiDoMo Ninja you will be. Based on your Ninja ranking you then get a proper system for organising and completing these tasks, so you can finally Get Shit Done.
  • #GeSHiDoMo Bingo Sheets – sounds crazy, I know, but wait til you see them. Suddenly getting organised has become fun!
  • #GeSHiDoMo Weekly Planner Sheets – if you’re not a Bingo fan, if you’ve got a mass of stuff to do or easily move into overwhelm, or if you are a List kind of person you’ll love this approach to Getting Shit Done.
  • Access to our exclusive Facebook Page and Community, where this month of madness will unfold. It will be a place where you can share your progress and support each other. Everything we teach will happen on the Facebook Page.
  • Weekly videos to help you start strong and keep going.
  • Facebook Live events where I will coach you and answer your questions.
  • Daily motivational tips.
  • Heaps of very cool competitions.

Interested in becoming a #GeSHiDoMo Ninja? Stay tuned. It launches Tuesday October 24 at 4pm Brisbane Time. All the details will be in my Shop. There’s a #GeShiDoMo icon there now but it’s not active yet!

To join #GeSHiDoMo will cost just $22 Australian for the month. (That’s about $17 USD).

Here’s what some of our participants had to say about last year’s #GeSHiDoMo Challenge:

  • Loved #GeSHiDoMo 2016. The group interaction and Nicole’s support. It was inspiring and the bingo sheets with my own diary system worked really well for me. Thank you to all xx
  • I loved this challenge and wish it ran more than once a year.
  • I loved it! I almost finished everything I set out to do, and realized I was trying to do too many things at once, which is something I need to get better about. Really enjoyed doing this exercise. Thank you!
  • It was so much fun in the group and so motivating and a super idea, thank you so much.
  • Loved this! Halfway through the challenge I changed the things I wrote on my bingo sheet and I went in a different direction. It made me realise things are so much easier when they’re broken down into bite size pieces. So, Thank You. A great life lesson!
  • It was very uplifting to be a part of this group. The videos and live events kept me motivated, and I loved watching everyone’s progress. A very honest and kind group who helped each other over the finish line. I learned a lot, and got heaps more done than I had thought I would.
  • I finally found time for me, and ended the month rested and with some healthy and supportive routines in place. No more burn-out for me. Thank you x
  • Let me do it again. …I’ve been so productive!

It’s almost time to #GeSHiDoMo – See you soon!

Love and encouraging hugs, Nicole  xoxo

The Energies of November – 2016

November 2016

“If you had started doing anything two weeks ago, by today you would have been two weeks better at it.” ~ John Mayer

“Freedom is not the absence of commitments, but the ability to choose – and commit myself to – what is best for me.” ~ Paulo Coelho

Hello, Lovelies :)

Let’s give a big warm welcome to November!

It starts with an incredible week of action (read more about that here) and builds into a month, the likes of which I have not seen in a very long time. November is a month for momentum, decisions, and going after what you want.

It’s not enough to think about it this month. You really are required to DO. And in doing, you will be planting the seeds for the events, relationships and outcomes that you can continue to successfully grow in 2017 and beyond. This is your biggest month this year for launch, and for building foundations for future love, health and prosperity.

Cards for the Month:

I’ve chosen two cards for November for you: one from the Osho Zen Tarot Deck, and one from Colette Baron-Reid’s Wisdom of the Oracle. Please note I don’t use these cards in the conventional way, but rather as a stimulus for channelled information.

Here is what I have received from each card:

The Fool Osho Zen Tarot

“There’s a difference between interest and commitment. When you’re interested in doing something, you do it only when circumstance permit. When you’re committed to something, you accept no excuses, only results.” Art Turock

This is it! November is the month for going after what you want. November is about taking the leap, even if you might not feel ready. It’s an energy of expansion and opportunity, of helpful people and magical synchronicities. November is full of the possibilities of things turning out better than you’d planned, or of coincidences leading you in new and fruitful directions.

November is a fabulous month for putting yourself and your ideas out into the world, or beginning the project that will ultimately do that (even if the launch itself will not be until some future date!). November is strongly linked to wealth and abundance energies, so seeds sown here will carry you through well into the future. But it’s not enough to just think about it – you need to act. You need to start, to commit, to put words to paper and effort into your idea or dream. No need to pressure yourself to launch before you are ready, but making that start is vital.
Expect the unexpected this month. The Universe will quickly support you as you make a commitment to yourself, your values, your dreams, your relationships. Be open about new ideas and about making huge decisions and changes quickly because you’re in flow and being led down a particular path to a particular outcome. You’ll begin to see glimpses of where you can go in life, and what comes next.

You’re being called to trust – to trust yourself, your decisions, and the inner and divine guidance that is directing you. It’s a wonderful month of expansion, and of connecting to a bigger picture. November is one of the best months I have seen in years for lightbulb moments, breakthroughs, million-dollar ideas and amazing new connections.

Hooray for that!

Colette Baron Reid oracle

“Writing has nothing to do with meaning. It has to do with landsurveying and cartography, including the mapping of countries yet to come.”
~ Gilles Deleuze

The second card I’ve chosen is Message In a Bottle. Everything we need to know about navigating the energies of November is within this artful second card.

Momentum will carry us along this month if we get busy. Did I mention this is a month for bold plans and action?

We’ll need to have our telescope with us, so we can look into the future and decide on a destination. If we can’t decide on a destination how can we get there? Use this month to plan, to write those plans down, to commit to the plans and to refine the plans. Pop a copy into a bottle (or your journal, or your back-up disk, cloud or dropbox – print a copy out and stick it above your desk, or on the fridge or the toilet door!) to keep your plans safe so that you can continually refer to them as you progress along your journey. This kind of plan becomes a map!

It’s also important to honour your intuition in November, and you’ll find that this connection will be stronger than ever. Take time to connect often. A meditation need only last three minutes in order to gain benefit and to find that direct line to your Higher Self, your Soul Wisdom, God (or whatever you call that greater energy) and your Guides and Angels.

Stay connected to a support group – even if they are the characters of a book or an online community. Do not squander this precious month in the company of negative people, people who put you and your dreams down, and people who do not appreciate your efforts for them. This month, please, make your time about you and the dreams and projects important to you. Spend time with people you love and who uplift and support you.

Best crystals this month?

Turquoise and Hematite.

Turquoise connects us to our truth within. A profoundly spiritual stone that helps us gain insight and understanding.

Hematite strengthens our physical body, warding off fatigue and negative energy or emotion. It promotes grounded confidence in ourselves and our abilities.

Essential oils to support your journey?

Each of the following oils will work beautifully on their own for you this month, but they also make a delicious combination for diffusing. Sokli calls this her Amazing Grace Blend.  The essential oils you will find helpful in November are Ylang Ylang, Grapefruit and Frankincense. Ylang Ylang calms and centres us, helping us to live from our hearts, Grapefruit provides optimism, energy and inspiration, and Frankincense allows us to be divinely connected and in spiritual flow. To diffuse add 2 or three drops of each oil to your room or personal diffuser. You can find the oils here.

The Week Ahead – Oracle Reading for Monday 31 October

the Creator Osho Zen Tarot

“Things which matter most must never be at the mercy of things which matter least.”
~ Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Hello, Lovelies!

Welcome to a brand new week. 🙂

Here’s the oracle card I have chosen, and my take on the energetic outlook for the days ahead.

‘The Creator’ is from the Osho Zen Tarot deck – a deck I’ve been using for twenty years.

The week ahead is about refining our priorities and getting clear about what matters most right now. Understanding what matters most helps us to channel our precious and limited time and energy into activities and relationships that support the goals, values and outcomes dear to us.

Let me be clear:

This is not a week for stuffing around, doing everything for everyone else at the expense of yourself, wasting time on low-value tasks or low-value relationships, or failing to prioritise or make decisions.

There is so much power in this week if we are brave enough to make choices, to claim a direction, and to begin to take action in areas that matter to us.

Don’t waste the week by letting it roll by without you.

As you will read in tomorrow’s post, November is one of the best energies I’ve seen in years for going after what you want, for finding the idea that will make you money, for creating solid foundations for health, wealth, love, family and your particular passion. This week energetically sets you up to make the best of November by first getting clear about what matters now, and what will continue to matter into 2017.

It’s a week where you’re encouraged to make really bold decisions.

It’s a week where you’re asked to back yourself and your ideas and dreams.

It’s a fabulous week for finding a coach, launching an idea, starting or repackaging a business, signing up for study or specialised tuition, committing to taking your business to the next level, creating a plan to become more or to offer out into the world more that you do now.

It’s a week for taking back personal responsibility and holding yourself accountable for making change happen. Yep, that might feel odd if you haven’t sat in that space for a while, or if you’ve become used to letting everyone walk over you or take care of you. But ultimately to be able to trust yourself and your ability to look after your own needs will be empowering.

This is also a week for making a stand.

Ask for what you’re worth. Stand up for yourself, your loved ones, your passions, your rights. Give support to the causes dear to your heart.

Make that appointment with the doctor, bank manager, grief counsellor, relationship specialist, lawyer, tax accountant, psychologist, nutritionist.

Quit whatever is doing you harm. Alcohol, cigarettes, junk food, your jittery Red Bull habit, bad relationships, toxic situations, those two donuts you sneak with your coffee every morning and then regret all day. This week is fabulous for making lasting change that kicks off with a big personal decision.

This week is the beginning of a very big month, energetically speaking. The choices and actions you make this week (or fail to make) will have lasting repercussions. Do all you can to be good to yourself, and true to yourself and your values.

Supportive crystals this week? Clear Quartz, Amazonite and Citrine. Helpful essential oils? Young Living’s Clarity essential oil blend, or  a combination (or singly!) of any of Rosemary, Orange and Cedarwood.

Holding you in my thoughts, prayers and meditations,

All my love, Nicole <3 xx

Choosing Your Perspective

flowers from my garden

“If we are always arriving and departing, it is also
true that we are eternally anchored. One’s destination is never a place but rather a new way of looking at things.”
~ Henry Miller

I have never been much good at arranging flowers. I’ve never had the eye for it.

That is, until I found myself suddenly vision-impaired as a side-effect of some medication.

Usually my friend Christine arranges flowers from my garden for me when she comes to clean my house. It’s such a simple thing, but her arrangements always give me so much pleasure. Whenever I tried to create an arrangement of my own they never looked as pleasing as Chrissie’s.

While I have been in the city, recovering from surgery, there have been no flowers in our little farmhouse. So now I am home I decided to have another go and do it myself.

It was easier this time. Everything is blurry, so all I had to do was cut some blooms from the garden, choose a vase (an old teapot!) and then begin. I found myself arranging them by placing a few taller flowers and then filling in the holes with colour. It became all about the colour rather than the individual flowers or their shapes. It became about emotion and flow rather than about getting it right, and suddenly I had a vase full of flowers that spoke to my heart.

All I’d needed was to change how I saw things.

It’s amazing what a simple change of perspective can do for you.

roses and gardenias

These flowers on my kitchen windowsill are in honour of my friend, Kate, who passed away 6 years ago. Every year on October 26 I pick the first gardenias for her. This year for the first time there was a red rose too. I felt that shift from grief to acceptance. I still miss her madly but I walk this world with the ghosts of so many departed loved ones at my side now that it has become oddly comforting.

I still can’t see very well (I have about 20% vision in one eye and 50% vision in the other) but I am back doing most of the things I always do – with some necessary modifications. I’ve also had some bonuses. As I watched a wedgetail eagle soar above our farm yesterday I realised that the giant bird left a momentary energy trail in the sky, which I could see as a river of colour behind it, mapping its flight path through the sky. It was breathtakingly beautiful.

This doesn’t mean that suddenly I am okay with vision loss. It’s been incredibly hard. At least once a day I teeter at the edge of a dark deep hole. It’s only recently I haven’t fallen in several times a day. Still not a day goes by that I don’t shed a quiet tear or become momentarily swamped by misery. Truth is, I would much rather have my sight.

But crying and feeling bad doesn’t help. It doesn’t solve anything. And after a while it just gets boring. It is what it is, and adapting works better for me than stubbornly resisting what is and being only okay if it all changes back to how it was before.

I do my best to focus on what I can do. I look at how I can adapt and keep moving forward. I search out alternatives and new solutions. I change my paradigm. Looking from a different perspective always helps. It’s one of my best coping skills.

How about you?

Where in your life right now would you benefit from a perspective shift?

Lots of people have been telling me how panicked they are, or how regretful, that this year is almost over and they never got done what they’d hoped to. You can keep looking at life from that perspective, but it essentially means that you give up on your cherished dreams and outcomes. It’s almost over – I’ll stop trying. It’s almost over – there’s no point in even starting.

What if you change that perspective? There are two months left until year’s end. That is time enough to create change and to forge a different result for yourself.

If you’d like to join us for a month of dedicated perspective-shifting and outcome creation, sign up for #GeShiDoMo – our November-long program for creating and completing goals – and finish 2016 strong. I’ve designed this program so that if you are really stuck you can ease back into momentum again. There are choices that allow for all kinds of goal-setting and achievement, and a special category for those of you who actually need to have less DOING and more BEING in order to find a path back to self-care and life balance.

There is always time to change our perspective and try life from a new angle. I know you’ll be glad that you did!

Sending much love to you, Nicole <3 xx
