Introducing #GeShiDoMo – November’s answer to ending 2016 strong!

2016 is almost at a close, and 2017 is looming large on our horizon. The energy of 2017 will be all about growing – and if we plant the right kind of seeds now, in the lush soil of 2016, 2017 will unfold before us in brave, delightful and unexpected ways.

But we need to sow those seeds first.

One of the things I have recently come to love about November is NaNoWriMo. NaNoWriMo is National Novel Writing Month, which invites you to complete a 50 000 word manuscript draft in the thirty days of November. It’s insane, but also highly motivating, and there is great comfort and support in knowing that other equally mad people are also trying to crank out a crazy amount of words, and that you’re all in it together. I’ve completed several manuscripts during NaNoWriMo Novembers. It’s a great way to dedicate yourself in  a way that will produce an outcome. If you have young writers under seventeen in your household there is a place for them to join too – NaNoWRiMo Young Writers Program. (If you’re joining NaNoWriMo, come find me – my user name is ncwriter, and I’d love to be your buddy!)

No matter what my level of procrastination throughout the year, November has become a month where I know I will get words on the page.

But what if you’re not writing a novel? What if the thing you need to do is entirely unrelated to that but you love the idea of a dedicated month to work on a project?

Maybe you’ve got a goal you wanted to achieve, and now Christmas is almost here and you still haven’t made much progress. Perhaps you’ve got a To Do List as long as your arm, and nothing ticked off.

That, my friends, is why I have created #GeShiDoMo. #GeShiDoMo stands for Get Shit Done Month – and I am dedicating the month of November to #GeShiDoMo, so that we can arrive at December with a bunch of stuff ticked off and completed.

You might have One Big Thing, or a mass of smaller and unrelated things. It doesn’t matter what you want to get done – what matters is that you do it!

I’m launching the #GeShiDoMo program tomorrow, which will be delivered via Facebook, and because it’s online, no matter where you are you’ll be able to join in. There will be a link in my Shop, and all the details will be there for you.

What will you get when you join #GeShiDoMo?

  • A #GeShiDoMo Planner workbook to download. This Planner will help you to create your goals and tasks to complete in November. You get a proper system for organising and completing these tasks, so you can finally Get Shit Done.
  • #GeShiDoMo Bingo Sheets – sounds crazy, I know, but wait til you see them. Suddenly getting organised has become fun!
  • Access to our exclusive Facebook Page and Community, where this month of madness will unfold. It will be a place where you can share your progress and support each other.
  • Weekly videos to help you start strong and keep going.
  • Daily motivational tips.
  • Heaps of very cool competitions.
  • Super-Ninja fabulous prizes!!!
  • An Awesome Certificate of Completion if you get Get Your Shit Done by November 30.

Hi! I'm Nicole Cody. I am a writer, psychic, metaphysical teacher and organic farmer. I love to read, cook, walk on the beach, dance in the rain and grow things. Sometimes, to entertain my cows, I dance in my gumboots. Gumboot dancing is very under-rated.

  1. You know what I love about November, my birthday, just saying, what I am not looking forward to this November is dog/house sitting yet again for my brother, his house is boring as in it doesn’t have Foxtel and his bed isn’t as comfortable as mine but I am the only one they trust to stay and watch the dogs and house so it is me who goes.
