Hello, Lovelies!

October brings our focus back to our home environment, our heart-space and our soul’s journey. We’ll feel a need to nest, to clean and beautify the spaces where we spend most of our time (this could be your body, home, work or even your car!) and to have to hand the things we need to make our time in these spaces comfortable and productive. Keep that in mind as we look at the gifts of inspiration which the oracle card Six of Wands brings us.

Six of Wands reminds us about the joy of sharing life with others, and of celebration. This week look to connect with loved ones, friends and family. It’s a great week for planning future celebrations, and for finding reasons to celebrate the everyday. Music, fun, laughter, togetherness and all forms of sharing are well aspected this week.

The energies of the Six of Wands show us that we are all interconnected. When we lift someone else up we all rise. How can you give the gift of acknowledgement and encouragement to someone else this week? How can you acknowledge and encourage yourself?
Six of Wands also shares lessons about the importance of looking and feeling good in managing our personal and spiritual energy. Why not go through your wardrobe and remove the clothes that are worn, damaged or that no longer fit? It’s a great week to get a haircut, update your look, indulge in some self-care, or even have a medical or dental check-up.

If you’ve been waiting for a breakthrough or good news it may well come this week. Energies of obstruction and difficulty are falling away as we move back into flow again.

Why Revelation Isn’t Enough!

As our meditation retreat comes to a close today, I’ll be guiding my students about what to do when they re-enter the flow of life again. It’s been a big week for them – lots of shifts, dawning clarity, a handful of aha moments and some potentially life-changing revelations.

But here’s the thing…

It’s not enough to have the revelation. A moment of insight doesn’t make for lasting change. What’s needed is reflection – time to think about what that revelation means in our life, and how we can best use that information. After revelation we need to have clarification and then application, or we may as well have never had that insight at all.

I’ve been teaching my students how to take their aha moments and examine them further using quiet time and deep thinking, journalling and choosing oracle cards to help them explore the situation from different angles. I encourage them to keep asking themselves ‘What does this mean for me?’ and ‘How can I best use this information?’ The answers that come from this process are where the true breakthroughs occur.

So, how about you? What realisation have you had recently that would benefit from some further analysis? Why not gift yourself some time to explore it, with the intention that you use your newfound understanding to create an action plan for change.

Let your revelation be the start of a personal positive revolution.

Tomorrow night is the new moon.

The new moon is always a powerful energy for creating positive change and manifesting your heart’s desires. It is also a great time for connecting into your own intuitive wisdom, and deepening spiritual connection.

Tomorrow night, it is also something more.

It is an opportunity to connect into the energy of your highest potential for the years ahead. It is an opportunity to leave the past behind and to truly embrace a positive future.

I will be holding space in my personal meditation tomorrow night for you as I sit with our Ancestors and Songlines crystal grid here at my farm. I will be intending that you move into your heart-space, and reconnect with your own Soul Wisdom. I will be intending that your feet find their way in 2017. That your path becomes clear. That you can more easily be yourself. That you know and express yourself truly. That you live life to your highest potential. That you are loved for who you are. That you come to know how much you are loved.

Hello, Friends!

Welcome to the fourth week of these awesome November energies.

Here’s the oracle card I have chosen, and my take on the energetic outlook for the days ahead.

‘The Lovers’ is from the Osho Zen Tarot deck, and the powerful message of this card is that love is what is needed right now.

On the most personal of notes, this is a week that encourages you to reconnect with your partner – as lovers, as friends, as confidants. Not many people talk about how much work actually goes into successful relationships. Partnerships are gardens that require regular attention. There is ample opportunity to rekindle the magic and to rediscover what first created sparks and joy between you. It’s a week for forgiveness, for acceptance, and for celebration of your shared history.

If there’s love still there, but you’ve lost your way, or forgotten how to connect and communicate, seek help to get you both back on track and travelling forward together.

Mostly, what relationships need is time spent together. How can you do more of that this week?

In a relationship that’s fresh and new? You will find ways to deepen your understanding of and commitment to each other in the days ahead.

Those of you who are trapped in relationships that are past their use-by date, that are deeply unhealthy, broken, or finished in all but the leaving, will find that this week facilitates decisions to put yourself back out into the flow of life on your own again. The ending of 2016, and the finalisation of this old, old energetic era we’ve been in is the perfect time for freeing yourself up if your relationship no longer serves you.

If you’re single and looking for love, well… magic is in the air. <3

Above all, this week – love yourself! Don’t wait for someone else to do that for you. Nourish yourself with self-care, kindness and compassion.

Love is an emotion that extends far beyond the sexual, or the intimacy of a partnership. Love is always bigger than that…

This week you’re called to reach out to those you care about – family, friends, neighbours, community – and let them know that you care, let them feel the warmth of that connection, and the reassurance that comes from knowing that their life matters to someone. You can do this in so many ways: a hug, a shared meal, a chat over coffee, a phone call or connection via social media or email, an act of kindness, volunteering time or money, writing letters on behalf of those with no voice, adopting a shelter animal, making a donation, joining a group that does good in the world.

 

Many people have contacted me after my recent post about sensitive and empathic souls and the current energies of upheaval that are affecting us.

I understand that many sensitive souls are having a difficult time right now, and are engulfed with fear, frustration and deep despair around world events.

This week we are reminded that there is always something we can do.

This week we’re encouraged to send love out into the world, and to direct love back to ourselves. Love fills and heals the dark wounds and uncertain spaces caused by fear and hate.

How do we move the world back from the tipping point of divisiveness? Love. Kindness. Compassion. Forgiveness. Inclusion.

Living from our hearts, meditating and sending love into the world, using prayer and visualisation, all of these things help.

 

When we come from a place of love we don’t talk badly of others, or spread gossip or perpetuate stories that feed the energies of uncertainty and fear.

What the world needs now is not more darkness and argument. We don’t need more violent thoughts or deeds. We need love. We need lifting up. We need kindness. We need laughter. We need understanding and coming together.

We need gratitude for what is good in our lives.

We need to place our focus on what we want, and what is good, rather than devoting any energy at all to the things we don’t want.

What’s your Power Word for 2014?

I long ago gave away the practice of multiple New Years Resolutions. Just the thought of it overwhelms me. You know; all the things you are going to do, all the things you are no longer going to do – and then dividing those up into areas  for finances, family, health, spirituality, matters of the heart, interests and hobbies, professional and personal development, global domination and so on.

Living with Lyme I have so little energy to waste on superfluous things. And lists like that exhaust me.

Last year I ditched the concept of resolutions altogether and went with a far simpler system. I narrowed my resolutions down to one word. A Power Word.

In 2013, my power word was HEALTH.

For 2014 my power word is PROSPER.

Every time I think of my word I am reminded of my intentions for 2014. I can hold up the word PROSPER and use it to evaluate my actions and decisions so that I may determine if I am moving towards or away from the energy of this word, this quality I want more of in my life.

Prosper to me is not actually anything to do with money, although money is a part of prosperity. To prosper is to add to, to succeed, to do well, to thrive.

With every action, choice or decision I make in 2014 I can now ask myself if it will prosper or diminish me.

It’s so easy to be guided by my power word. I simply think of my word and then apply it to any situation:

Will this meal prosper me (support my health and my healing efforts) or diminish (sabotage, weaken or lessen) me?

Will a nap prosper me or reduce me?

Will exercise today prosper me or weaken me?

Which of these work activities shall prosper me most, today and in times to come?

I’m thrilled with my power word. I know it’s going to help keep me focused and on track this year.

Finding your Power Word for 2014 is simply a matter of exploring what’s important to you. Is there a recurrent theme in your life you’d like to put more attention to, an area you’d like to shine in, or a dream that never gets air time?

Use the following Questions to help you arrive at your own Power Word or Power Phrase ( a Power Phrase has more than one word!)

  1. What’s the one key area of your life, that if you put purpose, passion and action to, would move you to a better place by the year’s end? Only choose one area. If you actually make all the change and improvement you need before the year is finished you can give yourself a well-deserved break, or choose another word!
  2. If you had this change in your life, what would your life look like?
  3. Write a list of positive words and phrases that embody for you the quality, activities, knowledge and actions of this key area.
  4. Choose one simple word or phrase that sums up this energy for you.

Once you have your Power Word, commit it to memory. Write it in your diary. Place it on post-it-notes around your house, make it your screen saver – in short immerse yourself in this word, and the meaning of this word for you.

Let this one word remind you about what’s important to you this year.  Let this one word help you define and transform your life!

Create Positive Change Program – Week 3

Sometimes the advice we get, and the experts, mentors and people in positions of authority that we look to for direction end up giving us a bum steer.

Seriously.

When we are really strong in our own power and confidence, and fired up by what it is we want to be/do/have, then it doesn’t matter so much if other people disagree or don’t believe in us. The positive energy and vision we hold for ourselves will carry us through.

But when we’re just starting out, when we’re vulnerable and uncertain it can be very easy for other people to sink our ship.

Some folks persist in telling you not to get on the boat, or threaten to disown you if you do. Some like to blow our ship right out of the water, some smash it to bits while it’s still in the construction phase, and others sneakily let the bungs out and the water in while telling us they 100% believe in our ability to float that boat. Still others commandeer our ship and steer it to places we didn’t want to go, or limit our horizons.

But it’s still our own little ship of dreams, and what matters is that it’s ours – not anyone else’s.

This week we’re going to look at one of the biggest things that holds us back from positive change – believing the people who don’t believe in YOU!

Click on the video below for a little positive reinforcement – these are all people who were told they would fail, but who eventually (note that word eventually) succeeded beyond their wildest dreams. Imagine what would have happened if they’d stopped trying?

Count Your Blessings!

How’s your Blessings Book going? I love looking back over mine, especially the ones from years ago.  This simple practice can bring enormous riches into your life by regularly focusing your attention on what matters to you.

Again this week write down three blessings in your life every day – three simple things for which you are grateful. When we count our Blessings we are inviting positive energy into our lives and putting ourselves into a receptive and abundant state of mind.

Write them like this: Today I am thankful for (the blessing) because (write down a simple reason). eg: Today I am grateful for rain because I get to wear my awesome purple gumboots!

Affirm the Positive!

Take your rock from Week Two, and thank it. Write the Affirmation you used in your Blessings Book. You can now place the second rock beside your bed or somewhere where you’ll see it often.

Select the third rock from the eight you selected at the start of this course. This is your third Affirmation Stone. Carry it around with you, or place it somewhere where you can see and hold it every day.

Hold this third stone in your hands. Now think of something else in your life that you want to change. This week we’re focusing on what we CAN do. Affirm that as a statement of declaration to the Universe.

Here are some examples:

I can manage money well.

I can create financial freedom for me and my family.

I can be healthy and happy.

I can be cherished in a loving, lasting relationship.

I can get published.

I can make money doing this _________ (thing I love – insert your own thing here)

 

Each day hold that stone in your hands and repeat your declaration, out loud, or in your mind. You can do this just once, or as many times as you like. Say your declaration with enthusiasm and commitment. Put lots of energy into the word CAN. Say it loud enough and strongly enough to defeat all of the doubters in your life. This simple act of declaration begins to align you with this energy, opening you to more of this thing in your life.

Using your Gratitude Rock!

Using my Gratitude Rock is one of the favourite parts of my day. It makes me feel so connected to each of you, and very supported and loved. Because our Gratitude Rock anchors positive energy and gratitude at the end of each day we go to sleep in that beautiful bubble of healing energy, and remain connected, empowered and loved.

As you hold your stone tonight say to yourself I am richly Blessed. I have an Abundance of Good in my life.  Then hold in your mind one or more image of a thing you have been grateful for today.  It doesn’t matter if you review your Blessings from your Blessing Book, or add in something new.  Swell that positive energy up in your heart like a beautiful golden light, and give a heart-felt Thank You, Thank You, Thank You to the Universe. Visualise a tiny shower of golden light travelling from your heart into your Gratitude Rock.

Now imagine all of the other people who are taking part in this Positive Change Program with us – people from all over the world, just like you. Once again build up a strong positive energy in your heart, and then imagine shooting a stream of golden light out into the Universe to those people.

Say Thank you.  I Bless You.  I intend for you Positive Change, Love, Miracles and Abundance. Know that as you are saying this for them, they are also saying this for you. Feel that connection and gratitude and know that there is real love and support for you here. Place your rock back beside your bed, and go to sleep, cocooned in this good energy. I’ll send you a few extra sparkles this week! 🙂

Homework:

This week we’re busting through the old negative energy and thinking caused by people making us feel small, inadequate, incapable or undeserving.

Who are they to tell you how to live your life?

Make a list in your journal of all of the people who have said or done things that have contributed to you giving up, holding yourself back, or never even starting. Write as much or as little detail as you need.

Then we’re going to do a little visualisation exercise to get our power back. We’ll see them saying/doing that thing to us and then we’ll affirm that it doesn’t matter what they say. We’ll allow ourselves to do or be that thing anyway. We can write it out or act it out in our imagination – whatever feels right.

If you need to stomp your foot, raise your voice, add a thousand exclamation marks or anything else that helps, do it! This is not a time to act small in the world.

Here’s my example:

Someone near and dear to me (I’m not going to name and shame them here in public) once said to me, “You’re not pretty like your sister, but at least you have a nice personality.” I totally took that on board and believed I wasn’t attractive, although I did get the consolation prize of a ‘nice personality’.

So now I’ll hold that person in my thoughts, and imagine them saying that to me again. And then I will visualise myself saying to them: Well, I’m sorry but that’s just your opinion. I forgive you and set you free. I AM pretty and I reclaim my prettiness. I’m pretty to me, and that’s all that counts!

If they’d said I couldn’t write well, I’d say Well, I’m sorry but that’s just your opinion. I forgive you and set you free. I CAN write well and I’m going to keep on writing. So there!

This might take a while, so feel free to do one or two people at a time, or to repeat the exercise as you need to. It’s very empowering, and you’ll be amazed at what comes up that you thought you’d forgotten.

Let go of all this old stuff that’s holding you back. It’s time! Reclaim your power.

I know the calendar says that we’re already into February, but from an energetic point of view today, 2nd February, is really the very first day of 2013. (Read more about the energy of 2013 by clicking here.)

It’s an unusually quiet morning down at my farm, and the air is thick with fragrant smoke from all the burning piles of green vegetation knocked down during last week’s storms.  It smells a little like a giant incense stick burning, so I consider 2013 well smudged into being.

Today is a beautiful day for some quiet reflection and journalling to set the tone for your year ahead. I’ve also prepared a short guided meditation for you to help you focus your thoughts and energies.

Christmas as a Meditation on Kindness

Christmas is such a crazy time – as much as it can be filled with fun and family and wonder, it can be equally a time of stress, loneliness, hardship, emotional buffeting and misery.

That makes it a perfect exercise for practicing kindness.

This Christmas why not choose to see the day, or the season, as a meditation on kindness. You’ll find that not only will this have positive benefits for you and your own state of mind, the benefits of this practice will also flow out to the world around you.

How to Begin

Start by making a decision to be kind to yourself. Accept that you may have feelings of anxiety, sadness, frustration, anger or overwhelm, that you may have your buttons pushed by the people around you – especially family. Create the intention that just for these few hours you will treat yourself with kindness and compassion – that you will allow the unwanted feelings and emotions to wash over you like a momentary cloud passing through a sunny sky, rather than letting them take root and grow. Remind yourself often to come back into your heart, and live from a place of love.

How to Flow Kindness to Others

As you meet people through out the day, remember that they may be also experiencing emotions of stress, loneliness, sorrow, grief, worry, overwhelm, anxiety or despair. Smile from your heart – let kindness build a bridge of understanding between you…

In your mind, wish that person well.  Flow good feelings towards them. Keep smiling.

Sometimes you’ll end up in social situations where people’s moods or behaviours may affect your own positive emotional state.  That’s okay.  Begin by sitting in awareness of how the troubles within the other person’s mind may make them act in ways that reveal their inner turmoil and isolation. Instead of being triggered into negative emotions or behaviours yourself, have compassion for their struggle or attitude.  Let it wash over you like a cloud passing overhead on a sunny day. Disconnect from your need to engage in their drama.  Smile, offer words and acts of kindness, or quietly remove yourself from the situation and maintain your own emotional calm and balance.

The Art of Bliss Bombing

This is a gorgeous activity, and one of my favourites. Take yourself to a public place, like a mall, coffee shop, or a bench in a park near where people are walking by.  (If you are up to it, do this at the family Christmas gathering!) Sit somewhere unobtrusive.  When someone walks past, shoot a radiant shower of golden sparks from your heart to theirs and silently bless them with love.  You can even send joy and love from your heart to trees, animals, plants, bus-loads of commuters and overhead planes.  You might  want to say to yourself, “I bless you with love.  Know joy today.”  If anyone catches your eye, just smile.

Feel your open heart begin to tingle with energy and joy.  In that place of energetic connection look around you at the world and you will see that it IS brighter and more beautiful because of YOU.

Today you have acted as an Earth Angel.  Your Lightwork has helped contribute to our energetic abundance.

How You Can Change the World

I’m here with some good news.  You are powerful, and you can make a difference in our world!

Have you noticed that much of the world media is focussed primarily upon the negative, and it builds a vibration of fear and uncertainty around our futures?  Many of us are reeling under the constant barrage of bad news, and the latest market crash, tragedy or monstrous act of violence.

It is easy to feel that we are insignificant in the scheme of things.  But this is not the case.  Many people have changed the world through their thoughts, and actions.  And you too can play a part in lifting the vibration of our world to a place of Harmony and Peace.

At the core of our distress is always lack of Love.  When we live from our Hearts, violence against each other, and senseless acts of greed and inhumanity within our communities and environment dissolve.  Why? These are not products of the Heart, but of the Mind.  They arise from our sense of disconnectedness from ourselves, our families, our communities, our environment and God/Source Energy.

So what can you do?

Firstly, focus on all that IS good in your life, and in the world, no matter how small that detail may be.  Do not give your attention to the bad news around you, and the unwanted things in your life.  Focus purely on what is going well, and what makes you feel good.

When you pray or meditate, bring that beautiful Divine Love and Light into your body and heart.  Fill yourself up, and allow the Love and Light to continue to flow through you and to the people around you.  Picture people and situations, and send healing energy and Love to them.  Surround them in white Light and wish them only Love and Good, no matter who they are or what their actions might have been.  See people and situations only as you wish them to be – full of harmony, wellness, love, creativity, joy and peace.  Don’t dwell on negativity – always choose Light.  Choose forgiveness of yourself and others

Within your immediate circle, practice acts of love, kindness and compassion.  Move outside your own needs, and begin to understand and reach out to meet the needs of the people around you.  Strengthen relationships within your family, friends and community.

Create a network of support for yourselves and others. Speak well of people. Treat others in the way you would wish to be treated, and always, always send and practice Love and Kindness.  Where people hurt and upset you, send them more Love and Kindness.  And when you are hurt and upset, connect with Love and Light to heal yourself.

Be true to yourself.  Practice self nurture, and allow yourself the time and freedom to enjoy your life and your relationships.  Use the gifts that you were blessed with to do the things you are passionate about, and that you most enjoy.  Doing this puts good energy back into the world, and allows you to grow and flourish at a Soul level, making ever increasing amounts of positive energy available to you and to those around you.  You will have a positive impact on your immediate environment, friends and family just through your personal energy and state of mind!

Reach out to others whenever you can.  We are social creatures, and it is when our connections with others begin to weaken and fall apart that we are most capable of harming ourselves and others.  Practice a spirit of tolerance and inclusiveness, but most of all, BE Love.  Remember old people and children.  Help them to feel loved and wanted.  Find a way to give back to your community or a charity of your choice.  Lead by example.

Accept healing and nurture from nature.  Spend time in natural environments, and with plants and pets.  They are all here to give us Love.  Introduce nature into your home and work environments and try to spend time in the fresh air and sunshine.  Yes, it does make a difference!

Slow down!  Take time to breath, to feel, to rest and relax.  Reduce your stress, and the stress you impose on others.  Eat well and look after your health.  Support products, services, organizations and individuals with integrity and who treat the world and its inhabitants with Love and Respect.

Finally, strive for Love and excellence in all you do, and in all you are.  When you raise your own vibration, it has a positive cascade effect on all around you.  So, don’t buy into fear – choose Love.  Like the saying goes, “Be the change you want to see in the World.
