What will you change for 2022?

I didn’t ‘grow’ wise, spiritual, or happy. I shrunk towards it. I didn’t add; I subtracted. There is wisdom in simplification. There is strength in recognizing that life is too short for nonsense. You find yourself spending time with people who make you laugh. Those who make you feel loved. Simplify your life. That’s where happiness is found.

Hey, Lovelies.

2022 will soon be here, and the energies of this year are inviting us to simplify, to slow down, to uncomplicate our lives and give ourselves permission to be gentle and kind in the way we treat ourselves.

So, in the spirit of that, I wanted to ask you, what will you change in 2022 to allow space for yourself to rest, to heal, and to move back into flow?

What do you most need?

What will have to change for that to happen?

I’m choosing a quieter and simpler year, at work and at home. I need deep rest, and more creative time. I need time to unpack all my moving boxes. Time to read more books. Time for beach walks, and ocean swims. I need early nights, more writing, less busy!

If 2022 is a year you can gift to yourself, what will that look like?

Let me know in the comments, and then stand by. I’ll post another blog soon about a New Year’s Eve Meditation and Ritual to help with setting your intentions for the year ahead.

Much love, and gentle encouragement for you to look after yourself, and to put yourself first for a change, Nicole xx

Hi! I'm Nicole Cody. I am a writer, psychic, metaphysical teacher and organic farmer. I love to read, cook, walk on the beach, dance in the rain and grow things. Sometimes, to entertain my cows, I dance in my gumboots. Gumboot dancing is very under-rated.

  1. In 2022 I will be finally starting over again. Moving to a new home. Removing all blockages in my life (internal and external) that stand between myself and unconditional love in all forms. Finding a deeply satisfiying work. Finding my soulfamily. Letting go of all the old baggage of my past and explore faithfully the new, the world. Adventure, journey. New horizons. Living how I´m meant to be.

  2. I have made changes from previous years but I still don’t know what I want to do with that down time. I do take time for myself but appear to spend it in the house and not really doing anything. I’m struggling to know what I want my life to look like in 2022!
I guess initially the financial freedom to be able to explore what I love; to be able to do things without the added financial burden or worry, that would be a good place to start. As with this I wouldn’t feel restricted to go and do a pottery class, or go ride a horse; these are some ideas for the new year.
    Love to you All

  3. “be gentle and kind in the way we treat ourselves.” This is by far the most difficult thing in my world for me to do. It is like being in a rut of self derision that is too safe to climb out of. Because as horrid as it is, it is what I’m used to. Am taking a class on boundaries at this time and each week I force myself to continue going. Because hard things are sometimes good for us. So, yeah, that is where I’m headed. Maybe….
