How To Charge Your Crystals Tonight!

“The full moon – the mandala of the sky.”

~Tom Robbins

Tonight, May 29 2018, is a full moon.

Ordinarily, I’d suggest that you place your crystals out on the earth to be charged up by the energy of the moon and by the grounding and cleansing effect of the stones being in contact with the earth. But right now our world is being bombarded by positive ions from the numerous solar flares that the sun is emitting. These particles fall to Earth and render the crust of the planet positively charged instead of the usual negative ionic field. That means your crystals won’t be able to be effectively grounded and cleared, although they will still be able to be charged by the moon.

So, what can you do?

It’s the perfect time to place Celestite, Angelite, Apophyllite, Smoky Quartz, Amethyst or Clear Quartz stones on the Earth. Cleanse them first by smudging them or using sound (such as a Tibetan Bell or Bowl).

Then place the stones directly in contact with the ground. The stones will gain a strong charge that will promote psychic attunement and growth, but they will lack any grounding energies. Leave out overnight. These stones can then be used by you in meditation to more easily connect energetically to your Higher Self, Guides and Angels. They will also be incredible stones for working with your dreams. Wrap the stones in a dark cloth when not in use.

If you want to be able to ground and cleanse your other crystals tonight don’t place them directly on the earth. Instead take a timber, clay or ceramic bowl (don’t use plastic, glass or metal) from your kitchen and line the bottom of the bowl with dried rice and then place the stones on top of the rice.

The rice still holds a negative charge and the energies of earthing.  Put the bowl outside on a bench or other elevated position so that is not in contact with the ground. Leave overnight as usual. When you bring the stones back inside discard the rice.

Need some extra support around these Solar Flares? You might find this post helpful.

Thinking of you all and sending so much love, Nicole ❤ xx

Full Moon Supermoon Ritual – August 29, 2015

“Compassion hurts. When you feel connected to everything, you also feel responsible for everything. And you cannot turn away. Your destiny is bound with the destinies of others. You must either learn to carry the Universe or be crushed by it. You must grow strong enough to love the world, yet empty enough to sit down at the same table with its worst horrors.”
~ Andrew Boyd, Daily Afflictions: The Agony of Being Connected to Everything in the Universe

A super moon is a perigree full moon – a full moon that occurs at the moon’s closest approach to earth. The moon will appear brighter and larger in the night sky than usual. The supermoon on August 29 is in Pisces. It’s known as the Healer’s Moon and it has a special significance for spiritual seekers and all forms of healers.

Many sensitive souls will have been feeling increasingly overwhelmed recently by the current circumstances of the earth, and within their personal lives. Healers, empaths and activists may feel that they can never do enough, or be enough, or work fast enough to affect a change. You may be completely emotionally or physically drained and wondering how you can continue to give.

That’s why this supermoon is a blessing. She brings a restorative energy to remind us that we are all one, and that none of us works alone. Through the supermoon we can access the energy of universal oneness and universal healing to replenish and heal ourselves, and to sustain us for the times ahead.

The energy of this supermoon also provides a short energetic window that will heighten our spiritual and psychic perception, enabling us to see and know ourselves more clearly. You may well be feeling this pull already, and it shall last a few more days. This heightened ‘knowing’ helps us to shift our consciousness, so that we become better aligned with our own truth. If we’re open to it, ideas come. Inspiration visits. Past life understanding and cycles of knowledge unfold. Solutions and possible paths of action become visible. Clarity finds us and guides us out of the fog in which we’ve been lost, perhaps for decades. We will be easily able to let go of what no longer serves us. We’ll feel guided to clear our emotional, energetic and physical clutter so that energy can flow better in our lives.

The following ritual for healing and replenishment can be done at any time around August 29 where the full moon is in the sky above you. Day or night. It does not matter if the moon is obscured by cloud. Her energies will still be available to you.

If you are drained, disheartened or lost, let the Supermoon bring you healing and fill you back up with love, hope and purpose.

Tools:

(These are not necessary but can help to amplify both the moon’s energy, and your connection.)

  1. A crystal. Choose a clear quartz if you are looking for direction and clarity about major decisions or your life path. Choose an amethyst if you seek deeper intuitive and psychic connection. Choose a citrine if you desire greater flow and abundance in your life. Choose a rose quartz if you need emotional support and nurture. Choose an aventurine if you desire a greater connection to the earth and her healing powers. Choose the stone that most resonates for you. If another crystal feels best for you, then happily select that stone. Be guided by your own intuitive wisdom.
  2. A glass of water. Use water only. Tap water is fine. Make sure that the water is in a cup made from glass, china or metal. Avoid plastic.
  3. Your journal and a pen. This will enable you to write down any insights or deeper understanding you may receive during or after the ritual.

Ritual:

Find a quiet place outside. If it is not possible to be outside, position yourself near a window or door. Trust that you will still be able to connect with the moon’s energy.

(Note: if you are bedridden or for any reason cannot perform the physical parts of this ritual know that you can do this with your mind’s eye – seeing yourself as whole and healed and acting out the ritual in your imagination)

Place your crystal on the ground at your feet. Place your glass of water down where you won’t knock it over. Bring your hands to your heart and place them palm down on your chest.

Now say, either to yourself or out loud if it feels right, Sister Moon, I am hollow. I am weary and lost. I give and I give and there is not enough of me left. I call upon you to fill me up again, and to flow through me with energy and grace. Take a moment and truly feel the truth of the words. Connect to your own heart. Feel your fatigue, overwhelm, loneliness or whatever else is happening for you.

When you have connected to your emotions, raise your arms up to the sky and close your eyes. Say I call down your energies to replenish me. Be the giver that gives through me.

Stand quietly, and imagine drawing the light of the moon down into your body through your hands and the top of your head. You might see this light as white, silver, blue or gold. Trust whatever colour you get as the perfect one for you right now. Draw that light deep into your body, feeling yourself fill up just like a battery would take a charge. When you feel full, bring your hands back down to your heart again and stand for another minute to let the moon’s energy integrate into your own.

Still standing with your hands over your heart now visualise moonlight entering and charging the crystal and the glass of water. Do this until they feel ‘done’.

When you are ready give thanks to the moon and then open your eyes. Pick up your crystal, and then drink the glass of water.

Take your journal and sit holding your stone. Ask for any insights or wisdom to help you to understand yourself better at this time. Write down whatever comes to you.

When you go to bed, sit for a minute holding your crystal. Ask to be shown through dreams, or in signs that are clear to you, what you most need to know . Place the stone beside your bed or under your pillow before you go to sleep. Do this for up to one week from the full moon, and then journal whatever you are shown.

PS: The full moon is also a great energy for recharging any of your crystals and stones. Remember to lay them out in the moonlight overnight.

Blue Moon 2015 – How To Work With These Energies

“It is always important to know when something has reached its end. Closing circles, shutting doors, finishing chapters, it doesn’t matter what we call it; what matters is to leave in the past those moments in life that are over.”
~ Paulo Coelho, The Zahir

On Friday, July 31, we’ll have our second full moon in one month. This double moon has become known in recent times as a Blue Moon. They aren’t very common. Our next Blue Moons will be in January and March of 2018.

This full moon is particularly significant. It is the Full Moon in Aquarius, opposed by a Leo Sun, and with Venus in retrograde.

Energetically, this Blue Moon shuts the door on the past. Especially the energies pre-2012. It illuminates the truth in our lives. The truth we know in our heart of hearts. The things we need to let go of. The things we need to walk away from.

I know, these last few years since 2012 have been crazy too. Lots of distress for many. False starts. Bad decisions. Problems. Things that seem to have pulled us off our paths or slowed us down. And yet, all of those things were necessary. The pain was necessary.

On Friday night, using the energy of the Blue Moon we can let go of old patterns, old hurts, broken dreams. It is a powerful time for leaving relationships or jobs. We can leave disappointments behind. Sorrow behind. Grief behind.

We get to shut that door, mean it, and then open up a door to what we DO want.

Image from www.bipfa.net

Image from www.bipfa.net

What do you want? I mean, what do you really want? This Blue Moon is also supportive of calling in love relationships, soul mates, life path work, all the big picture stuff.

The thing is, you need to be clear. Conscious. Aware. You need to choose.

Are you ready? Are you brave enough, and bold enough to say YES to what you want, and leave the rest behind?

This Blue Moon will affect you whether you choose to work with it consciously or not. You may feel restless, find sleep difficult, or really be buffeted by your moods. How much more powerful to choose conscious awareness, and the deliberate act of acknowledging this force for change within our lives.

Blue Moon Summonsing Ritual

Here’s a short ritual to help you get that clarity. You’ll need a candle, some paper and a pen, matches and a bowl to burn your paper in, and two small crystals or stones. One crystal needs to buried, to signify the release of what you are giving up or ending. This will be known as your Release Stone. The other stone will be kept as a touchstone and meditation tool. This stone will be known as your Anchoring Stone.

Set aside a minimum of ten minutes for this ritual, although you may take an hour or more if you want to go deep into this energy of shift and release. This can be done at any time after midday on July 31 through to midday on August 1. I prefer to do my ritual at night, when the moon is high in the sky, but it will be effective for this 24 hour window.

These are the stones I’ll be using for my own ritual. The one on the left is a clear quartz point with silver rutile. That’s my Anchoring Stone. The one on the right is a rainforest jasper. That’s my Release Stone. These stones are about 3cm or 1.5 inches in size. Choose what feels right to you. Even a stone from the garden or beach is fine.

blue moon stones

Ritual Instructions:

Sit somewhere quiet with your paper and your stones. Light your candle, and then take the Release Stone in your hands. Close your eyes and offer up a prayer of intention, that you now be shown what is holding you back, and what needs to be let go, no matter how painful. Open your eyes, hold your stone in one hand, and with the other hand write a list of all of the things you now choose to let go, to release, and to finish. This list could be about the past, relationships, memories, actions, behaviours, attitudes, jobs or life circumstances. Start your list with the words I consciously choose to release… and finish your list with the words …and it is so. Then sign your name. Hold the paper in one hand and the stone in the other, close your eyes and offer up a prayer that the energetic burden of the contents of this list be transferred to the stone. Let the stone become heavy in your hand and then put it down on top of the paper.

Now take the Anchoring Stone in your hands. Close your eyes and offer up a prayer of intention, that you are now ready to draw into your life flow, love, health, success or whatever your specific dreams are for a brighter future. Open your eyes, hold your stone in one hand, and with the other hand write a list of all of the things you now choose to invite into your life, the actions you resolve to begin and complete, the things you desire to make manifest in the world. This list could be about designing your future career, a soul mate, improved relationships, health, financial situation, life path, big dreams, actions, behaviours, attitudes, jobs or life circumstances. Start your list with the words I consciously choose to create and to anchor… and finish your list with the words …and it is so. Then sign your name. Hold the paper in one hand and the stone in the other, close your eyes and offer up a prayer that the Anchoring Stone becomes magnetised to drawing these positive energies and opportunities into your life. Let the stone become warm in your hand and then put it down on top of the paper.

Blow out the candle and go outside (if you’re not already there!) with your stones, lists, matches and a burning bowl.

Look up to the sky and acknowledge the moon and her energy. Place both the lists on the ground with the stones on top of them.

Start by picking up the Release Stone and the Release list. Hold the stone, and set fire to the list, allowing it to burn to ash. As you do this say the words I willingly release all that no longer serves me. Then place the Release Stone on the earth.

Now pick up the Anchoring Stone and the Anchoring list. Hold the stone, and set fire to the list, allowing it to burn to ash. As you do this say the words I willingly anchor these new energies and possibilities in my life. Then place the Anchoring Stone on the earth.

Allow both of the stones to rest on the earth for one full day and night.

Then bury the Release Stone in the Earth. You are done with that now.

Take the Anchoring Stone and keep it by your bed, or in your pocket. Use it often in meditation, or simply sit and hold it, allowing your thoughts to connect in to these energies you wish to manifest in your life. Trust that change will happen. Be open to changes in your mood, your actions, your thoughts and feelings.

Honour impulses to create, to action, to start, to end, to do. You may notice radical positive change over the next few months. That’s okay. You invited it!

PS – This ritual will still work even if it is cloudy or raining and the moon is obscured. She will still be casting her energies over us. Can’t get outside? Stand or lie near a window for your burning ritual, and use a potplant to harbour your crystals and then to bury your release stone.

One of those nights…

“She used to tell me that a full moon was when mysterious things happen and wishes come true.”
~ Shannon A. Thompson

Tonight will welcome May’s full moon.

I love a full moon. Unfortunately so does lyme disease. Many lyme sufferers find an acute ramping up of their symptoms in the day or two before a full moon.

Last night was a hell night for me. At the edge of sleep I woke up to that horrid wide-awake place. After which there was pain so bad that sleep, if I could have found it, was out of the question anyway.

Today I am barely functional.

It goes like that sometimes.

I’ll try and catch a nap today, and then brace myself for tonight. Or plan to be awake anyway and have a good book to read, a meditation to do, or some other welcome distraction.

It’s been a long while since I had a night like last night. They used to be a regular thing. So I know I’m improving. Gee, I HAVE improved so much. But lyme disease and its co-infection friends are still reminding me they’re here.

Truth be told I’m a bit over it today. A bit cranky. A bit disgruntled. A bit disappointed because of all the things I’d planned for today that will undoubtedly fall by the wayside now.

On the upside? The moon was beautiful last night, and the air, after all our recent rain, was sweet and cool and earth-scented.

To watch the transit of moon and stars across the dark bowl of the sky was a decent consolation prize.

The Silver-Blue Light of Love

“Love seeketh not itself to please,
Nor for itself hath any care,
But for another gives its ease,
And builds a Heaven in Hell’s despair.”
~ WILLIAM BLAKE

If I’m going to tell you about the Owls and the Orchard Man, I’d better first tell you about the Silver-Blue Light.  It was probably one of my first memories of psychic phenomena, and it is seared into my memory as clear as the night it happened.

My sister and I were tucked up in the little bedroom we shared in our childhood home.  It was late enough that our suburban street was all asleep, and a soft summer breeze moved the gauzy curtains slightly.  I was four years old, and my sister was two and a half.  Moonlight flooded our room.  I was awake because my sister was fretful, tossing and turning with a fever.  She had the bed closest to the window.  I lay with my back to her, watching the patterns that the moonlight and the leaves of the trees made on the wall beside me.

Simone wouldn’t settle and so I climbed into bed with her, but it was distressing because she wasn’t really aware that I was there.

The room gradually became illuminated with a soft silvery blue light.  It was different to the moonlight, but the shadows on the wall beside me became more indistinct.  Suddenly a lady was in our room.  She was pretty, with shiny hair caught up on her head, and a long dress with a skirt that puffed out a little, and was fitted around the waist and chest. A very old-fashioned lady, not old like my grandmothers, but old enough to be a mummy.

Gently she took my hand and led me back to my own bed.  Then she sat down on the edge of Simone’s bed and I lay there, mesmerised, as she stroked my sister’s hair and sang to her.  I couldn’t understand the words, and I knew it was another language.  My sister settled under her watchful care, and then woke up.

I heard the lady whisper to Simone, and then my sister replied ‘Wee’ in her little voice. It worried me to hear her say that.  Did she need to go to the potty?

It was only as an adult that I realised my sister had said ‘Oui’ and that the lady had been speaking French.

Then I was asleep, dreaming that I was a big girl, in my ‘other life’.  I dreamed of a place that my imagination would ever after lead me back to when I was sick, lonely or afraid.  It’s a place I still dream about, and it’s so important to me that it has worked its way into a book I am writing, about pirates and fairies and the end of the world…

I hadn’t thought much about that beautiful lady in recent years, until she turned up in my orchard a few months ago.

She’s the reason the Orchard Man has been waiting.  But she didn’t come because of him.  She came to see me….

And I know who she is now. But that’s a story for tomorrow.

Much love to you ♥ Nicole xx

Howling at the Moon

Those are the same stars, and that is the same moon, that look down upon your brothers and sisters, and which they see as they look up to them, though they are ever so far away from us, and each other.

~ Sojourner Truth

It’s 2 o’clock in the morning and I’m wide awake; fretful and fitful and just a bit teary.

Maybe it’s the Full Moon…

Or maybe it’s the fact that I’ve had three days of doctors, more tests and been given my new expanded treatment regime for Chronic Lyme.

I’m introducing three new drugs to the existing two.

That’s a lot of drugs…

And there’s a super-duper new restricted diet to go with that.

I don’t know why that should bother me.  I’ve spent thirty years following various diet plans, supplement and medicine plans and assorted other ‘get-me-well’ protocols. It’s not like I’ve gone from a normal life to this strangeness. This ‘strangeness’ is my normal!

I even have a helpful letter from one of my doctors, that I must use to release myself from a program I am now unable to complete.  I had to open the letter so I could fax it off to the recipient.  My doctor’s final words caught me by surprise, “her prognosis is guarded: I do not anticipate any form of recovery in the next twelve months. This is a most regrettable situation.”

Regrettable?  Yes, I guess it is.  And he makes me sound so sick.

Oh wait. That’s right.  I am.

I’ve been mostly coping okay, and I’m sure that after a bit more sleep I’ll be fine. But tonight, as my skin itches as if I’m being bitten by a thousand angry ants, as my left eye throbs and pulses from the bacteria inflaming my optic nerve, as my joins swell and pain, my head pounding, my ears burning, my gut a tortured length of misery, I am sitting in overwhelm.

I just want to howl.

I can imagine the wild dogs tonight, back at my farm, full voiced as they scream their collective angst and passion and solidarity to the sky.

I wish that I could join them.  The howl’s just there.  A primal thing pressuring the back of my throat.

But the neighbours in this respectable Brisbane suburb might think it strange to see a pyjama clad, tear-streaked woman howling her pain and frustration to the heavens. They’d probably call the police.

If I feel into this unvoiced howl though, if I lose myself to the pain, something comforting happens. Beyond the suffering and the infinite sadness at the loss of so much of my life to this damned thing, I find a strength. If I keep feeling into the howl I find a kinship.

I belong to a kind of fellowship, its members bound through the most primal and visceral of suffering. And I know something powerful about this membership – it transforms you.

Through this journey of chronic illness and pain I have found beauty, wisdom, courage and kindness. It has opened me up to a depth in myself I would never have otherwise explored.

I lay down on the couch, looking out the leaf-framed window to the silver moon above me. I feel the voices of the wild dogs.  I feel the kinship of the suffering on whom this same moon shines.

I am comforted. I am connected.  And I know it’s already okay.  I am okay.  I will be okay.

So I’ll keep gazing at the moon, bathe in her light, and wait for sleep to claim me.

Namaste ♥ xx

Letting Go in 2012 – Working with the Full Moon

Image from mrdotd.wordpress.com

Shoot for the moon and if you miss you will still be among the stars.
~ Les Brown

On Sunday, September 30, we will enjoy another glorious Full Moon. Full Moons always have an energy that works with supporting us to ‘release’ things, and as 2012 is a big year for releasing, it’s the perfect time to work on shifting and clearing old patterns, unwanted thoughts and behaviours, and limiting beliefs.  In their place we then set the intention for replacing these energies with things better suited to our positive future growth and abundance.

I’ve blogged about this previously, and there is a very comprehensive set of instructions about conducting your own Full Moon Ritual here:

Full Moon Becoming Ceremony

Every Full Moon also has its own unique energies and flavour.  Last month we were gifted the opportunity to clear ancestral and family beliefs and patternings.  September 2012’s Full Moon gifts us the opportunity to embrace more of our intuitive side.

If you are wanting to become more energetically sensitive, more psychic, and open up more of your own natural spiritual gifts and talents there is something else you can do to work in with the Astral Body energies (Sun, Moon, Planets, Stars) right now.  For the next few days, either side of the moon, you can also try this:

Meditation for Clearing, Shifting and Healing your Psychic Self

This Meditation will ground you, as it opens you up to more of your own natural energetic and psychic ability.  It is very comforting for people who spend most of their day indoors, or in front of a computer. I recommend that you do this meditative practice at least once, either side of the Full Moon, as well as the evening of the Full Moon on September 30.

  1. Find a place outside where you can comfortably stand barefoot on the skin of the earth.  Good, get your position clear.  Find a place where you can do this without interruption.  It is up to you what time of the day you complete your practice.
  2. Drink half a glass of water.
  3. Then stand barefoot on the earth with your face turned toward the sun (or the moon if you do this at night).
  4. Close your eyes.  Draw in sunlight through your heart chakra, or if it is night, draw in moonlight through your third eye.  If it’s cloudy, draw clouds and wind and rain and all those other elements into your belly via your sacral chakra (the second one up, three finger widths below your belly button. Do this for two to five minutes.  Let your body be energised, balanced and healed by the gifts of nature.
  5. When you’re finished, drink the rest of the glass of water.

Expect to feel different in the days to come.  Expect to be shown things in dreams, to become more perceptive and intuitive.  If you want to work with energy or psychic skills, expect them to become stronger and clearer.

Even if you do not want to choose a life path that is more actively spiritually and psychically connected, you will become more emotionally open, more energised, and more naturally intuitive.

Thank you, for working on your own self growth. Every time we do, it lifts the energy of Mass Consciousness.  Every time we clear and shift old energies, it makes its easier for ourselves and everyone else to become more open to our Soul Truth.

Blessings to you, Dear Friends.  The world needs more Lightworkers. Thank you for being one of them! ♥ xx

Meditation with whales

For the next few days I am running a shamanic meditation retreat at Byron Bay. My blogging ability will be limited to what I can do from my iphone. But at least I can still keep in touch with you!

I have five days of delicious meditation with my group. It’s a wonderful time for personal transformation as we sit with the energy of the full moon.

This morning I rugged up and sat on my verandah at the retreat venue – to meditate under the moon and wait for the sunrise. I closed my eyes at four am and when I opened them again at the end of my meditation a Magpie was sitting on the railing in front of me. As i sat watching him he burst into song and I was filled with gratitude and quiet joy.

I began my second meditation to the soundtrack of a chorus of bird calls.

This time when I finished, I stood and stretched, looking out over the ocean and the streaky golden dawn. To my delight I saw a whale breach the surface of the ocean before thumping down in a plume of spray. Another whale followed, and I watched them dancing across the Bay.

Today I feel richly Blessed. I’m wishing you a similar day – filled with heart connection, nature’s gifts, and insights brought to you by animal messengers.

Much love to you xoxo

Full Moon ‘Becoming’ Ceremony

Image from layoutsparks.com

It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are.  ~ e.e. cummings

A Full Moon is a wonderful time for stepping into the energy of ‘becoming’, providing a strong transformational force at work in our lives.

Are you ready for a little positive manifestation?

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • A fireproof bowl or dish
  • Matches or a lighter
  • Paper and pen

The first part of this process can be done at any time during the day, or you may choose to do this just before the Ceremony.  Sit in reflection, and then write down a list of what you are ready to offer up in order to grow into something else.

You can be as broad or as specific as you like, but your list should be about letting go of what doesn’t serve you in your life, and claiming positive energies, gifts, talents and activities in place of what you are releasing.

Here are some examples:

I now surrender the need to struggle, and I accept flow and synchronicity in my life.

I offer up loneliness and accept a healthy love relationship instead.

I am ready to give up my fear and insecurity and step into my life purpose as a successful personal trainer with my own business, helping women to achieve fitness and healthy bodies after childbirth.  I will earn at least $65 000 per year, and work hours that allow me to be with my own children before and after school.  My business will be so successful that I will be able to employ staff to help me, and to move outside my own area to expand into the surrounding suburbs.

When you have finished expressing what you wish to offer up, in order to become something new, keep your list handy – ready for the second part of this ceremony.

Image from samuiphanganfullmoon.com

On the night of the Full Moon, step into the moonlight.  Ensure that you have your offering letter and matches, and your fireproof bowl.  Allow yourself to become calm and centered.

Ideally set aside a minimum of fifteen minutes, but for those of you who enjoy meditation and reflection allow up to one hour.

If the weather permits, do this healing ceremony outside, once the moon has risen. Do not consume alcohol or recreational drugs prior to this process. If the weather or your situation doesn’t permit working outside, you can work beside a window that allows you to see the moon and feel her energy. Even if it is raining or the sky is obscured by cloud, know that the moon’s energy will still reach you.

Sit or stand quietly and raise your hands above your head.  Draw the light of the moon down around you like a cape, wrapping it around your body.  Then allow the light to fill you up, feeling your body becoming relaxed and peaceful.  Say:

I honour You, and I am grateful for everything.

Let these words really resonate within you.  Stand or sit in communion with the Moon, letting her energy fill you with grace and healing.  Allow yourself to honour your emotions, and know that whatever you feel is necessary right now.

When you are ready hold up your offering letter in both hands.  Let all of the pain from your body, mind and spirit drain into the letter.  Allow yourself to become filled with hope and anticipation. Say:

I offer up that which no longer serves me.  I claim my natural abilities and talents.  I claim my life purpose.  I claim all that is good and right for me and my life.  I am ready to Become.

When you are ready place the offering letter into the bowl and set it alight.

Image from servantofgrace.blogspot.com

Now stand or sit in meditation, opening yourself to any visions, words, ideas or messages that come to you.  You may wish to journal these later so that you don’t forget them.

To conclude your ceremony simply lift your arms up to the moon, and then draw her energy down into your heart, finishing by drawing your hands together, as if in prayer, in line with your heart.  Bow your head, and say

Thank you for the Blessing of Becoming.

If you feel moved to say anything else, you may do so now.  Know that your offering and exchange will be honoured.  Trust in yourself and in your own abilities.

Bless ♥ xx

Transit of Venus, Solar Flares, Polar Shifts, Eclipses and Sensitive People

Image from universetoday.com

So, you’re a sensitive soul?  If you’re not sure, you can read more about ‘sensitive’ people here, to see if you identify with any of the common characteristics:

Living as a Sensitive Soul

One thing that sensitive souls will be noticing right now is how all of this astrological shift and change can affect us. What makes us sensitive – that ability to feel and sense energies and information that might not be so readily apparent to others – is also the thing that can make us more vulnerable to astrological and energetic phenomena.  We are more influenced by the energetic shifts and changes, and can be affected in a number of ways, not all of them pleasant.

We may experience a sudden draining of our energy, feel heavy and fatigued, or ache as though we are coming down with the flu.  We may find that we feel depressed or anxious for no reason, or that our sleep patterns are disrupted.  We may feel unbalanced, not quite in our body, suffer from headaches or fuzzy thinking, or be irrational, teary, angry or upset – once again with no apparent cause.  We may become highly over-sensitive – to foods, people, weather, noise and light.

Image from hazyshapes.blogspot.com

It will always pass.  But when you feel this way, check things out.  Is there something happening with the planets or sun? Are we experiencing geological shifts within our own planet? Are you in close proximity to a lot of electromagnetic energy?

What to do when you’re affected:

If you’re feeling light, vague, airy, disconnected, anxious, fretful or scattered then do what you can to ground:

  • favour foods that are dense; such as grains, root vegetables, dairy, meat and eggs
  • eat larger portions, less often (no less than three meals a day though!)
  • take a powdered magnesium supplement
  • avoid sugar and stimulants such as caffeine
  • spend time in nature – sit, stand or lie on the ground, barefoot if possible
  • rest
  • avoid crowds, wind, lots of noise, and places that are busy or frenzied
  • choose and wear or hold grounding crystals such as jasper, garnet, hematite, pyrite, howlite, bloodstone, sodalite, dessert rose, tourmaline, tiger eye or tiger iron

If you’re feeling exhausted, angry, disoriented, achy, drained, depressed and flat you need to raise your vibration.  Things that help with this include:

  • eating a predominantly plant based diet, and eating lightly and often
  • consume fresh juices that favour a combination of fruits and vegetables (at room temperature)
  • get moving – some yoga, tai chi, qigung or walking will help
  • rest
  • drink plenty of water and herbal teas
  • take a powdered magnesium supplement
  • keep warm, or find ways to generate warmth within your body
  • avoid cold foods, including ice-cream, dairy and cold milks such as soy
  • avoid the news, and things/people/places that are likely to upset or depress you
  • favour crystals that uplift our energy, such as rose quartz, amethyst, smoky quartz, clear quartz, citrine, agates, jade, aventurine, fluorite, carnelian and amber

Know that sensitivity is a blessing.  You just need to know how to manage it.  Know that you’re not alone, and that what you’re feeling is perfectly normal – for a sensitive soul! Bless ♥ xx
