I was horrified the first time it happened…

I remember, years ago, when I first started channelling.

It was excruciating.

My logical mind was stuck in judgement, cynicism, scepticism and disbelief. My soulful self trusted anyway and urged me on. I was conflicted, confused and stuck, with no-one to show me the way or help me.

And then my sister stepped forward.

She used her scientific curiosity and encouraged me to do the same. With her beside me I stepped more and more into the person I am today. I worked from a trance channel space, with my sister or trusted friends sitting with me, asking questions, guiding the sessions and recording them for me or taking notes.

At first I channelled Guides and Spiritual Beings. Their messages were helpful and wise. We found evidence of things that proved that I wasn’t making it all up. That helped me to not give up. I worked on my craft and became more and more competent in what I was doing. It was fascinating. I began to feel good about my abilities.

And then the awful day came.

I was with my sister and some Aboriginal friends; Vynette, Leanna, and Liz. We meditated together and then I settled into the trance space. But instead of channelling one of my Guides I channelled this squeaky-voiced, childlike being.

She told us her name was Sokli, and that she was what we humans would call a fairy.

My friends asked her many questions, to which she happily responded. Sokli was funny and earnest and talkative.

The session ended and everyone was abuzz.

Everyone except me.

I was horrified. I had just channelled a fairy. What if someone found out? How would anyone take me seriously ever again? I didn’t know anyone who channelled fairies. All the spiritual and psychic folk channelled dead people or Ascended Masters and Master Guides and Very Important Energies With Wise Sharings For Humanity.

Perhaps it was a fluke, I convinced myself. But at the very next session she turned up again. And again. And again.

Gradually we began to know her well. That was over twenty-five years ago, and Sokli has now become a dear friend and companion. She’s still funny and wise, and all of my students and clients who have met her have been entranced by her eagerness to help, her specific and personalised wisdoms about health, food, crystals, animals and plants. Sokli is generous and caring, and she has a beautiful innocence and straightforward way about her.

I’m embarrassed that I was so awkward about all of this emerging spiritual and psychic phenomena back then, and about people finding out that I believed in fairies. I still worried so much about how I would appear to others, and about my credibility.

Now I feel blessed to have Sokli as one of my crew.

Humans from all corners of the earth have long believed in spirit beings who came from the earth herself, and who could – at times – walk between worlds or dimensions. Not Gods. Not Angels. Not ETs. Beings different to ourselves who are intrinsically tied to nature and the planet. There are many names for them. Many cultural beliefs. Our Ancient Tribes have always believed.

Children believe in them.

But as adults in the modern Western world, we are taught that this is childish. After twenty-five years of experience, I beg to differ.

Have you ever met a fairy? Do you want to?

If the answer is YES then I invite you to come join us on Saturday June 22 for a very special event.

You could call it a Fairy Workshop, and you would be right. My beautiful friend Sokli will be hosting the main part of our event, and Sokli is a fairy. How can she do this? I’ll be channelling her, so she can speak to you directly.

Sokli is going to speak about:

  • How to make friends with fairies
  • What fairies know about nature and the seasons and how this knowledge can help you
  • Important messages about the planet right now and why fairies need your help
  • Fun and interesting stuff that will help you to improve your wellbeing and health
  • How to create a crystal grid to energise food and turn it into healing medicine for your body or for a loved one or a pet

Together we’re also going to:

  1. Lead you on a Guided Meditation (you’ll receive access to a copy of the recording after the event so you can do the meditation whenever you want);

  3. and make and activate a crystal grid (you’ll get to take this home with you too).

This event isn’t just a workshop though! It’s also a Tea Party! Saturday 22nd of June is Winter Solstice, and the energies support friendship, connection and celebration.

Guided Meditation and Advice for Sensitive Souls and Emerging Psychics

As most of you know, I’m psychic, and have been this way to varying degrees all my life. All of us are intuitive – that’s our birthright, and it’s hardwired into us. Even the most disconnected or ‘non-believing’ of us will still have gut feelings or hunches strong enough that we can acknowledge and act upon them.

But some of us have a much greater sensitivity than that. If you have experienced any of the following (not as a result of mental illness, or a drug or illness induced state!) then this post is written for you:

  • lucid dreaming
  • deja vu
  • precognitive dreams or visions
  • awareness about people, places, objects or events that has no rational cause nor explanation
  • an ability to know information about people
  • sensing the energy field around people or places, and having that affect your body or emotions
  • seeing energy, faces, or other images either in your mind’s eye or through your own eyes
  • hearing voices or knowledge not your own – either as a physical sound, or as a voice, knowing or thought that arises inside you that you somehow understand is not your own
  • having remembrance or recognition of past lives
  • being drawn to psychic activities and tools, such as cards, books, courses, modalities and crystals – where you feel compelled to have or work with these, even when your rational mind protests or doesn’t understand
  • sudden recognition of things previously not known to you – such as knowing the names or uses for things outside your profession or fields of study, or knowing your way around a place you have not ever visited
  • sensing, seeing or hearing Guides, Angels, those who have crossed over, and other energetic beings
  • connection with star people, recurring dreams about or remembered incidences of UFO or alien encounters – these are often not threatening or unpleasant
  • recurring dreams for which you have no explanation
  • a strong sense that you are here to do something, to contribute something, to help in some way – this feeling becomes stronger over time until, if you haven’t worked out what it is yet, it becomes almost a sense of despair or desperation
  • saying or writing things without knowing where the information is coming from
  • performing healing, art, writing, music and other creative acts where you suddenly ‘know’ what to do, even if you have never been shown before
  • understanding animals, children or others with no voice to communicate
  • sudden strong emotions flooding over you that are totally unrelated to what is happening right now

I’m sure there’s more that I could add to that list, but that’s a start…

If you’re sensitive energetically then you are bound to be sensitive in other areas of your life.  This is especially true if you are going through a process of spiritual or psychic awakening. At a time of awakening, energies and abilities that have been dormant within you begin to assert themselves in your life.  This can be quite a turbulent and confusing time.

From long experience, these are my suggestions about how to live as a Sensitive Soul as you begin to Awaken.

  • Rest.  When we’re growing and changing, rest is one of the best gifts we can give ourselves.
  • Avoid crowded places such as shopping centres and football games when you are feeling particularly sensitive or energetically vulnerable.
  • Avoid difficult relationships and people who drain, upset or unbalance you.  Limit contact with the crazy-makers in your life.
  • Eat well.  Favour organic foods, with an emphasis on fresh, local produce, with plenty of leafy green vegetables and root vegetables, rice, pulses and yoghurt. Avoid processed food and sugar. Some people may need to avoid meat at this time.  Others may need meat to ground them.  Listen to your body.  If you’re especially sensitive avoid wheat as well.
  • Avoid alcohol, drugs and stimulants.
  • Take a good powdered magnesium supplement.  Your muscles and nervous system use magnesium to relax and it we also burn it like rocket fuel when we are engaging in energy work and psychic activity.
  • Drink plenty of fresh, clean water.
  • Use yoga, qi gong or tai chi to ground you and move energy through your body.
  • Spend time in nature.
  • Spend time on your own, exploring the things that interest you.
  • Avoid chemicals in your cleaning and personal care products. Avoid places that have a strong artificial or chemical energy.
  • Use natural and alternate therapies to help clear and support your body.
  • Meditate.
  • Pray, and talk with God.

  • Trust, look for support and know that things do get easier over time.

You know what I’m talking about…

One thing I’ve learned about life’s hard knocks is that although we may get winded, if we can just take a good deep breath, then pause and take another, we often find things aren’t as bad as they first appeared.

Sometimes, of course, it really is that bad. No matter. Breathing helps. Taking a good deep breath centers you; it calms you down, puts you back in your body, and helps clear your head. Then you can better see your way forward.

We are, all of us, stronger than we know. And it’s usually not until we’re really tested by life that we ever find this out.

January New Moon Ritual and Meditation – 2018

Today, January 16, heralds the new moon. This New Moon is in Capricorn, and its energy is particularly important. This moon is about plans, commitment, effort and consistency – not just for now but for the year ahead and even beyond that. You can use the energy of this New Moon to truly name and claim the personal or professional mountain whose peak you aspire to reach. It’s a new moon to help you reach your highest potential.

Tonight’s new moon brings a powerful energy for creating positive change and manifesting your heart’s desires. It is also a great time for connecting into your own intuitive wisdom, and deepening spiritual connection. Everything is created first in the zero-point field, that place of potent emptiness that resides as the spaces between the fabric of existence.  The New Moon is potently linked to this space of possibility, where our thoughts and intents begin to shape matter itself into our new reality.

Tonight’s new moon supports us being attuned to our path for the year ahead, to claiming our dreams, and to reaching our highest potential for this lifetime. Part of this energy is also about recognising and letting go of whatever no longer serves our highest good.

Perform Your Own New Moon Ritual

I’ve created a simple guided meditation and a series of rituals to help anchor your intentions using the transformational forces of the moon as she moves from this place of darkness back into light.

You can do any or all of these simple practices, and you can do them today or any time in the next seven days/nights, up until January 22, 2018.

You’ll need this simple preparation:

  • choose a crystal or stone to hold in meditation (If you’re using my Year of ME Planner use your 2018 stone!)
  • choose a  second stone or crystal to return to the earth after the meditation
  • have a glass of water ready
  • have a journal and a pen

Journal First:

Some time today, or before your meditation tonight, take your journal and write a letter to the Universe outlining what you intend to leave behind in the past.

This could be behaviours, attitudes, situations, relationships or any other thing that weighs you down or makes you feel bad within yourself.

Start with the words ‘I now release…’ and then add your list. When your letter to the Universe is finished sign it with the words ‘And it is so.” Then sign your name and add the date.

Begin again on a new page.

Sit in reflection, and then write down what you want to have, create or do, especially those things where you have previously been blocked by fear or insecurity.

Words that can be useful to help strengthen that state of creating or manifesting include the action words: claim, invoke, manifest, intend, believe, draw to me, welcome into my life, create, become, do, transform, embrace, love, adore, cherish, make, construct, transform.

Write a second letter to the Universe, beginning with the words, ‘As I step into my Highest Potential…’

Then list the things you wish to have, create, do or be. Be as broad or specific as feels right for you. Conclude your letter with the words. ‘I claim this and more, for my Highest Good. And it is so.’ Then sign your name and date it.

Keep your pages somewhere safe, although there is no need to read them again unless you are drawn to do so.

Standing Meditation for Clearing, Shifting, Healing and Grounding

This Meditation will ground you, as it opens you up to more of your own natural energetic and psychic ability.  It is very comforting for people who spend most of their day indoors, or in front of a computer.

Note: You will need your glass of water for this meditation.

  1. Find a place outside where you can comfortably stand barefoot on the skin of the earth.  If this is impossible in your climate then stand barefoot at a window or on timber floorboards. Find a place where you can do this without interruption.  It is up to you what time of the day you complete your practice.
  2. Drink half a glass of water.
  3. Then stand barefoot on the earth (or in your chosen place) with your face turned toward the sun (or the moon if you do this at night). Can’t find the sun or moon? Just look up at the sky!
  4. Close your eyes.  Draw in sunlight through your heart chakra, or if it is night, draw in moonlight through your third eye.  If it’s cloudy, draw clouds and wind and rain and all those other elements into your belly via your sacral chakra (the second one up, three finger widths below your belly button. Do this for two to five minutes.  Let your body be energised, balanced and healed by the gifts of nature.
  5. When you’re finished, drink the rest of the glass of water.

Expect to feel different in the days to come.  Expect to be shown things in dreams, to become more perceptive and intuitive.  If you want to work with energy or psychic skills, expect them to become stronger and clearer.

Even if you do not want to choose a life path that is more actively spiritually and psychically connected, you will become more emotionally open, more energised, and more naturally intuitive.

Thank you, for working on your own self growth. Every time we do, it lifts the energy of Mass Consciousness.  Every time we clear and shift old energies, it makes its easier for ourselves and everyone else to become more open to our Soul Truth.

Simple Guided Meditation for Connecting To Your Path and Highest Potential

I’ve recorded a fifteen minute guided meditation for working with this New Moon. You can use this meditation on any evening from tonight up until January 22, 2018, or on any future new moon to come to help keep you connected into this energetic support.

Before you begin the meditation, make sure that you have two stones or crystals – one to keep for yourself and one to gift back to the earth.

After your meditation is concluded you may want to hold your personal crystal and journal any insights that have come during your meditation, or that come after. Use this personal crystal any time you want to quickly connect back into this awareness of your connection and highest potential. It is a great meditation and journalling aid.

In your own time take the second stone and return it to nature. As you place it on the ground, or cast it into a river, lake or ocean, visualise the stone anchoring light, truth peace and hope. See it as a small beacon of light that is rippling out the energies of Highest Potential all over the world.

November is a month for knowing ourselves deeply, for healing old hurts and for prioritising and redesigning our lives so that they better represent the person we are and the person we want to become. It is an excellent month for healing the hurts and low-self-worth issues that stem from the bullying or judgments of others directed at you as a child, or through your adult years until now. This month’s energies also support you to move from a limited or stuck version of yourself, or a small version of yourself, to one that is vibrant with your true colours, and full of kindness and possibility.

I have created this fifteen-minute guided meditation for you to help you to heal and release pain and trauma from childhood, or from any period in your life prior to today.

You might like to choose a favourite crystal to hold as you do this meditation. Find a quiet place where you can sit or lie comfortably without being disturbed. Give yourself some integration time after the meditation is finished, or allow yourself to fall asleep. You may also want to journal after the meditation too. Just do what feels right for you, and know that you can return and listen to this meditation again any time you want.

Guided Meditation For Clearing Guilt, Grief and Trauma

A good friend of mine is unwell right now. I’m not surprised. He is a caring practitioner who goes to great lengths for his patients. When one of them deteriorates or passes away, despite his best efforts, he always feels he could have done more, should have done more…

The emotions of grief, guilt and trauma can move deep into the body. They sit in our throats, our lungs, our hearts, our bellies.

Unexpressed, these trapped emotions weaken our immune function, and our digestion. They affect our physical organs, making them more prone to illness and, over time, dis-ease.

Grief sits in the lungs. It makes it hard for us to breathe. The words we cannot speak stay lodged in the back of our throat. Colds, flu, asthma, strep throat, allergies, sinus – all of these things can move into a body that is holding deep grief.

Guilt is inwardly-expressed judgement of the self. It slows our blood, and cools us. It stagnates our flow. Inadequacy, despair and over-thinking characterise guilt that is trapped and endlessly cycling within the body. Guilt can affect the heart, the lungs, the kidneys, liver and gall-bladder. It wrecks our digestion, and over time our hormone levels and function. Our bodies become unable to repair themselves efficiently.

Trauma is shock stuck within the body. In sensitive and empathic people this usually happens when they are working in a caring capacity, and their attention and efforts are directed at the well-being of someone else in a traumatic, high emotion or distressing situation. Your body fails to process any personal shock and trauma you may experience because you have diverted all of your energies outward in caring for others. It can also happen when you are sitting emotionally open and connected and you suffer a sudden fright or when you tune in deeply to the suffering of another. Fright, trauma and shock are then stored deep within your body, allowing you to continue to function in helping others. But its effect is cumulative. Trauma sits in our gut, eventually causing disruption to our digestion, immune function, sleep patterns and brain function. It leads to anxiety and depression.

Holding grief, guilt and trauma within our bodies is a place that many intuitive, empathic and deeply caring people find ourselves. To love and to care is also to expose ourselves to hurt and to loss. Loving and caring deeply is risky, because when you live in that open-hearted state, love goes hand in hand with suffering. Still, I would advocate that you love anyway. That you care anyway.

One of your greatest gifts is that you care. One of your greatest gifts is that you can live heart-opened. Don’t change that. Just learn to manage it better.

This short guided meditation will help you to breathe into these stuck emotions, moving them out of the body and creating space that can be filled with peace, flow, love, light and hope.

The meditation is structured around the Tonglen meditation practice of breathing in pain and suffering, and breathing out peace and comfort.

It is simple but effective. It is something I do as part of my self-care routine every day.

Today, Thursday December 29 heralds the new moon. This moon closes the door not only on 2016, but on the entire thousands-of-years-old patriarchal energetic cycle that began its conclusion in 2012. This new moon welcomes in an entirely new energetic era – one of balanced masculine and feminine energy, one of hope and compassion, one of community, connection, information and advancement. It is my belief that you have chosen to be alive at this time as we straddle two worlds, the old and the new.

Tonight I will be holding space in my personal meditation for you as I sit with our Ancestors and Songlines crystal grid here at my farm. I will be intending that you move into your heart-space, and reconnect with your own Soul Wisdom. I will be intending that your feet find their way in 2017. That your path becomes clear. That you can more easily be yourself. That you know and express yourself truly. That you live life to your highest potential. That you are loved for who you are. That you come to know how much you are loved.

Perform Your Own New Moon Ritual

I’ve also created a simple guided meditation and a series of rituals to help anchor your own intentions using the transformational forces of the moon as she moves from this place of darkness back into light.

You can do any or all of these simple practices, and you can do them today or any time in the next three days, up until January 1, 2017.

You’ll need this simple preparation:

  • choose a crystal or stone to hold in meditation
  • choose a  second stone or crystal to return to the earth after the meditation
  • have a glass of water ready
  • have a journal and a pen

 

Journal First:

Some time today, or before your meditation tonight, take your journal and write a letter to the Universe outlining what you intend to leave behind in the past.

This could be behaviours, attitudes, situations, relationships or any other thing that weighs you down or makes you feel bad within yourself.

Start with the words ‘I now release…’ and then add your list. When your letter to the Universe is finished sign it with the words ‘And it is so.” Then sign your name and add the date.

Begin again on a new page.

Sit in reflection, and then write down what you want to have, create or do, especially those things where you have previously been blocked by fear or insecurity.

Words that can be useful to help strengthen that state of creating or manifesting include the action words: claim, invoke, manifest, intend, believe, draw to me, welcome into my life, create, become, do, transform, embrace, love, adore, cherish, make, construct, transform.

Write a second letter to the Universe, beginning with the words, ‘As I step into my Highest Potential…’

Then list the things you wish to have, create or do. Be as broad or specific as feels right for you. Conclude your letter with the words. ‘I claim this and more, for my Highest Good. And it is so.’ Then sign your name and date it.

Keep your pages somewhere safe, although there is no need to read them again unless you are drawn to do so.

Standing Meditation for Clearing, Shifting and Healing your Psychic Self

This Meditation will ground you, as it opens you up to more of your own natural energetic and psychic ability.  It is very comforting for people who spend most of their day indoors, or in front of a computer.

Note: You will need your glass of water for this meditation.

  1. Find a place outside where you can comfortably stand barefoot on the skin of the earth.  If this is impossible in your climate then stand barefoot at a window or on timber floorboards. Find a place where you can do this without interruption.  It is up to you what time of the day you complete your practice.
  2. Drink half a glass of water.
  3. Then stand barefoot on the earth (or in your chosen place) with your face turned toward the sun (or the moon if you do this at night).
  4. Close your eyes.  Draw in sunlight through your heart chakra, or if it is night, draw in moonlight through your third eye.  If it’s cloudy, draw clouds and wind and rain and all those other elements into your belly via your sacral chakra (the second one up, three finger widths below your belly button. Do this for two to five minutes.  Let your body be energised, balanced and healed by the gifts of nature.
  5. When you’re finished, drink the rest of the glass of water.

Expect to feel different in the days to come.  Expect to be shown things in dreams, to become more perceptive and intuitive.  If you want to work with energy or psychic skills, expect them to become stronger and clearer.

Even if you do not want to choose a life path that is more actively spiritually and psychically connected, you will become more emotionally open, more energised, and more naturally intuitive.

Thank you, for working on your own self growth. Every time we do, it lifts the energy of Mass Consciousness.  Every time we clear and shift old energies, it makes its easier for ourselves and everyone else to become more open to our Soul Truth.

Simple Guided Meditation for Stepping Into Your Highest Potential

I’ve recorded a fifteen minute guided meditation for working with this new moon. You can use this meditation on any evening from tonight up until January 1, 2017, or on any future new moon to come to help keep you connected into this energetic support.

I’ll be starting my own meditation at 8pm AEST, if you’d like to tune in around that time, but I also love the idea of a wave of meditation across the world. Take a moment to tune into my crystal grid, and the central rose quartz stone. Send it a little love, light and positive intention. Feel that intention radiate back out into the world, amplified.

Before you begin the meditation, make sure that you have two stones or crystals – one to keep for yourself and one to gift back to the earth.

After your meditation is concluded you may want to hold your personal crystal and journal any insights that have come during your meditation, or that come after. Use this personal crystal any time you want to quickly connect back into this awareness of your connection and highest potential. It is a great meditation and journalling aid.

In your own time take the second stone and return it to nature. As you place it on the ground, or cast it into a river, lake or ocean, visualise the stone anchoring light, truth peace and hope. See it as a small beacon of light that is rippling out the energies of Highest Potential all over the world.

The new moon is always a powerful energy for creating positive change and manifesting your heart’s desires. It is also a great time for connecting into your own intuitive wisdom, and deepening spiritual connection.

Tomorrow night, it is also something more.

It is an opportunity to connect into the energy of your highest potential for the years ahead. It is an opportunity to leave the past behind and to truly embrace a positive future.

Hello, Friends!

Welcome to the fourth week of these awesome November energies.

Here’s the oracle card I have chosen, and my take on the energetic outlook for the days ahead.

‘The Lovers’ is from the Osho Zen Tarot deck, and the powerful message of this card is that love is what is needed right now.

On the most personal of notes, this is a week that encourages you to reconnect with your partner – as lovers, as friends, as confidants. Not many people talk about how much work actually goes into successful relationships. Partnerships are gardens that require regular attention. There is ample opportunity to rekindle the magic and to rediscover what first created sparks and joy between you. It’s a week for forgiveness, for acceptance, and for celebration of your shared history.

If there’s love still there, but you’ve lost your way, or forgotten how to connect and communicate, seek help to get you both back on track and travelling forward together.

Mostly, what relationships need is time spent together. How can you do more of that this week?

In a relationship that’s fresh and new? You will find ways to deepen your understanding of and commitment to each other in the days ahead.

Those of you who are trapped in relationships that are past their use-by date, that are deeply unhealthy, broken, or finished in all but the leaving, will find that this week facilitates decisions to put yourself back out into the flow of life on your own again. The ending of 2016, and the finalisation of this old, old energetic era we’ve been in is the perfect time for freeing yourself up if your relationship no longer serves you.

If you’re single and looking for love, well… magic is in the air. <3

Above all, this week – love yourself! Don’t wait for someone else to do that for you. Nourish yourself with self-care, kindness and compassion.

Love is an emotion that extends far beyond the sexual, or the intimacy of a partnership. Love is always bigger than that…

This week you’re called to reach out to those you care about – family, friends, neighbours, community – and let them know that you care, let them feel the warmth of that connection, and the reassurance that comes from knowing that their life matters to someone. You can do this in so many ways: a hug, a shared meal, a chat over coffee, a phone call or connection via social media or email, an act of kindness, volunteering time or money, writing letters on behalf of those with no voice, adopting a shelter animal, making a donation, joining a group that does good in the world.

 

Many people have contacted me after my recent post about sensitive and empathic souls and the current energies of upheaval that are affecting us.

I understand that many sensitive souls are having a difficult time right now, and are engulfed with fear, frustration and deep despair around world events.

This week we are reminded that there is always something we can do.

This week we’re encouraged to send love out into the world, and to direct love back to ourselves. Love fills and heals the dark wounds and uncertain spaces caused by fear and hate.

How do we move the world back from the tipping point of divisiveness? Love. Kindness. Compassion. Forgiveness. Inclusion.

Living from our hearts, meditating and sending love into the world, using prayer and visualisation, all of these things help.

 

When we come from a place of love we don’t talk badly of others, or spread gossip or perpetuate stories that feed the energies of uncertainty and fear.

What the world needs now is not more darkness and argument. We don’t need more violent thoughts or deeds. We need love. We need lifting up. We need kindness. We need laughter. We need understanding and coming together.

We need gratitude for what is good in our lives.

We need to place our focus on what we want, and what is good, rather than devoting any energy at all to the things we don’t want.
