What If You Fail? (And also, what if you don’t…)

“Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one’s courage.”
~ Anais Nin

Hey, Lovelies!
August is all about taking risks, about upgrading your thinking, about being bold with your decisions and actions, and about letting go of the old to make room for the new.

Sound’s good, right?

Or, maybe, it sounds terrifying…

I was thinking, yesterday, about something I really want to do. Something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. It’s not just something I want to do. If I do it, I want to succeed. I’m deeply invested in the idea of this thing. The idea of failing at it is devastating.

Have you ever had something that you’ve felt like that about?

So, here I am, thinking about this thing, worrying about failing at it, and then this quiet, clear thought floated to the front of my awareness.

I’m already failing at it. I’m failing at it because I’m not trying. I’m failing because I have this idea that I am refusing to bring it to life due to my fears of it not being good enough, or of me not being good enough.

I’m already failing.

I’m failing because I’m not trying.

Oh my.

I can’t begin to tell you how this realisation has changed everything for me.

I’m hopeful that it may change something for you too.

All my love, Nicole xx
