A Little Nicole Update

Bedrest means lying in bed at home, doing nothing, Nicole. Do you understand?

If you have a problem with this we can bring you back to hospital. It’s your choice.

My cardiologist, on realising I am not good at resting!

Hey, Lovelies.

This blog post is coming to to you direct from my bed, here at home in my treehouse.

I’ll keep it short and sweet.

As you may know my first Pfizer vaccine stirred up existing heart trouble. I was diagnosed with pericarditis – a known but very rare side effect of this vaccine, and one my medical team and I were aware of, and had taken into account in my decision to proceed with vaccination.

After trying to manage my chest pain at home (I wrote about that here) I ended up in emergency last week and then was admitted to the Critical Care Unit, where the hospital staff took very good care of me until I was well enough to be allowed back home. I’m on complete bed rest now for two weeks, after which I will get new bloods and scans, and go from there.

The complete rest bit is to stop me damaging my heart while it is inflamed. It will heal. I will heal. It’s all okay.

Meanwhile, my team are running my business and the membership, and all of our plans for 2022. Thankfully, I had everything in place before I went down in a heap.

I’ve also had my second Pfizer jab in the middle of all of this. It was totally worth it. As an immuno-compromised person, my side effects are nothing compared to what might happen if I were to contract COVID. I still might contract COVID as a vaccinated person, but it reduces my risk, and my risk to others.

If you’re on the fence about it please go and get vaccinated. I would hate for you to end up suffering chronic illness the rest of your life ( I wrote a post about that you should read here.)

Do it to protect your own health, your family’s health, and the wellbeing of your community.

Do it for the exhausted health care workers who do not need the burden of even more people to care for, and whom few people seem to be considering. (And that will be a whole other post, sometime soon, after I have regained a little energy.)

If you are part of the ‘spiritual community’, and you consider yourself a Lightworker, or someone who is heart-based, I urge you to get vaccinated. Why? Our job here is to anchor love, to look after and serve others, and to be loving and compassionate in all that we do. To live from your heart-space is to consider others, to respect the lives of others as much as you respect your own, to do no harm, to be part of the solution. We can be intuitive and spiritual, and still respect science. We can be a force for good against fear, hate, misinformation and conspiracy theories. We can be our best selves, and help raise others up too. The world needs more of that right now.
COVID is real. It’s here to stay. We can all play our part. Get vaccinated. Practice good hygiene. Wear your mask. Wash your hands. It isn’t that big an ask. Lives depend upon it. Practice kindness to all beings, yourself included. Radiate love and peace.
I’ll write again when I am more rested.

Much love, and a growing number of awesome COVID antibodies as my immune system jumps into action, Nicole xx
