Managing your vibration – simple techniques for increasing intuition and awareness

“If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.”
~ Nikola Tesla

Our thoughts and emotions have a strong impact on our vibrationary level. Know what I mean by that?  Try this. Think of a time when someone or something really upset you.  Go back to that time and relive it in your mind.  Feel your body become tense and your heart rate increase.  Feel the anger or sadness or whatever other predominant emotion you may recall begin to flood your consciousness.

By invoking these thoughts and emotions you have consciously lowered your rate of vibration.  Negative self-talk will have the same effect.  Telling yourself that you are dumb, fat or not good enough rockets you into a lower vibration.  So does listening to people who talk down to you or show you a lack of love and respect.  Environments can have the same effect.  Is there anywhere or anyone that makes you feel uncomfortable?  Pay attention to how this affects your life, your thoughts and your actions.

Close your eyes and think of a time when you have felt positive, successful, happy or victorious.  Feel the love of someone close, or of an adored pet.  Imagine a beautiful place or natural environment.  Notice how you begin to feel expansive, calm, happy, joyful and powerful.  This is you moving to a higher vibration.

You have done all of this just with the power of your mind!

Now that you understand how this works, you can begin to consciously work with this power to lift your vibration and help you feel good about yourself.  As our vibration raises we become more spiritually and psychically aware, and can more easily access our intuition and psychic gifts. It also enhances our body’s ability to heal.

Vibrationary triggers

Make a note in your journal of things you can use to help raise your conscious vibration.  Experiment with clothes, colours and food – see how these affect your mood and self-image.  What makes you smile?  Fresh flowers, a happy baby, a hug, a note from a friend, or maybe your favourite music?  Place things in your environment that are positive emotional triggers, and that hold happy memories or thoughts.  Practice telling yourself how much you love YOU (this can be a hard one – but keep trying!) and remind yourself of your good qualities and talents, no matter how small.  Remove items that have negative associations.  Whenever you find yourself feeling anxious or upset or angry STOP!  Breathe….  Centre yourself (see info below).  Remind yourself of the blessings in your life.  Tell yourself that you are powerful and that you choose how you live in this moment.  Breathe in LOVE and breathe out negativity.  It works!

Centering

Find a quiet place where you won’t be disturbed for at least ten minutes.  Sit or lie quietly and focus on your breathing.  Take slow, deep breaths.  Gradually you will feel yourself calming and becoming more relaxed.  You will have an awareness of your body and mind.  This is a meditation technique called ‘centering’.  Centering is all about bringing our conscious awareness back to a place of calm.  Feel your energy within your body.  You may want to visualise it as a white or golden ball of Light within your abdomen or around your heart.

Notice any tensions and consciously let go of them, encouraging deeper and deeper relaxation.  Know that any time, and at any place, you can bring your energy back to a place of centeredness just by taking a few conscious deep slow breaths and imagining that ball of Light within you.  When you are centred you call back all of your scattered energy, and it helps you to remain calm and to be in your Power.  Being centred encourages good decisions and fosters intuition and integrity.

We can’t control the world around us, but we can make conscious choices about what we choose to focus on, and what thoughts we fill our minds with.  It is worth the effort to manage our vibration – feeling good always leads to improvements and new opportunities in the world around us.

Sending you all good thoughts and intentions for you to move to a place of better flow and awareness. Nicole  xx

The restorative power of deep rest

A primitive type of jellyfish called Cassiopea, which goes to sleep nightly, is seen on the floor of their tank at Caltech in Pasadena, California, U.S. in this image released on September 20, 2017. Courtesy Caltech/Handout via REUTERS

“It’s in the morning, for most of us. It’s that time, those few seconds when we’re coming out of sleep but we’re not really awake yet. For those few seconds we’re something more primitive than what we are about to become. We have just slept the sleep of our most distant ancestors, and something of them and their world still clings to us. For those few moments we are unformed, uncivilized. We are not the people we know as ourselves, but creatures more in tune with a tree than a keyboard. We are untitled, unnamed, natural, suspended between was and will be, the tadpole before the frog, the worm before the butterfly. We are for a few brief moments, anything and everything we could be. And then…and then — ah — we open our eyes and the day is before us and … we become ourselves.”
Jerry Spinelli

Don’t you just love the image of the sleeping jellyfish? It’s the sort of whimsical possibility my mind constantly entertained when I was a child, although I never imagined that they might sleep upside down!

I was lying on my acupuncturist’s treatment table yesterday as he felt my pulse and tut-tutted in his mad professor way at the energies within my body, the colour and texture of my tongue and his many other diagnostic tools. He knew it. I know it. The past couple of weeks of family illnesses and drama have exhausted me.

Hmmm, he said. Deep rest. That’s what you need. Deep rest, and rice and beans and sprouts. Warm foods. Warm liquids. No stimulants. No spices. Deep rest. Sleep.

I know he’s right. A good deep rest now and I’ll be back to normal. For me, deep rest is not just sleeping. It’s also quiet time. Time pulled back from the needs and demands of others. Time stepped back from work and busy-ness.

The alternative? I’ve been down that path, and I know you have too. In fact, I know some of you are walking it right now. That’s the path of pushing. We’re tired but we keep getting up. We’re exhausted but we fill ourselves with caffeine or sugar or both, and we force ourselves to keep on going. We bribe ourselves, pep-talk ourselves, bully ourselves and trash-talk ourselves to get our bodies upright and responsive. We push, push, push. And then we break.

All the while we think that we are okay to keep going. We’re not. We’re barely in our bodies. We’re drunk on lack of sleep. Our innovation and enthusiasm, our ability to bounce back, to laugh it off, to create with joy – all of that is missing.

It can be found again through deep rest.

That’s what I’m doing right now, and will be for the next few days. I’m doing a disservice to myself and to you if I don’t.

Today I’m asking you if you’re okay. Do you need to rest? Do you need to step back for a moment? We can’t help others sustainably nor keep on creating if we are not looking after ourselves first. The energies of 2018 do not support push in any form. If you’re pushing, it won’t be working. Look for another way. Your best solution is most likely to be taking a break, refreshing yourself, and then starting again.

Gentle hugs and much love, Nicole  xx

Just Tell One Person…

“The key is this: Meet today’s problems with today’s strength. Don’t start tackling tomorrow’s problems until tomorrow. You do not have tomorrow’s strength yet. You simply have enough for today.”
Max Lucado

Did you read yesterday’s post about the energy of this week? It’s a week of help coming our way, and of hope being restored, but first… first it’s a week that may be quite hard for some. It’s an energy where many of us will feel regret, remorse, guilt, shame, pain or sorrow as we look back on the past and realise that we can’t change it, or that we may need to let go of cherished dreams and plans we’ve long held for our future, leaving us with uncertainty as we look forward in life.

It’s also a week where we can come face-to-face with habits, behaviours and attitudes that are harming us, and where we know we need to change or get help because now we see what we are doing or what we are ignoring and we know we can’t keep living like this.

So, for those of you in that hard place – with shames you are hiding, and fears you are nursing – take the first step and tell someone you trust, or a stranger of good repute whose calling is to help people with the kind of problem that you do.

When we tell someone our truth we shed light on this difficult thing and we crack open the place from where it can begin to transform.

When we hold a secret to our chest it weighs us down more and more with every year. When we hold a secret to our chest and tell no-one of our plans to change it is easy to back out on the promises we made to ourselves. You only need to tell one person, to take one step, to open your circle of one into a circle of two.Two is where change happens, and hope returns. When someone else knows, the problem that has become beyond your ability to fix on your own suddenly has a chance to be healed.

Who can you tell this week? My wise old Nana always used to tell me that a problem shared is a problem halved, and the older I become the more I know it to be true.

Sending so much love your way, Nicole   xx

Awakening To Spirituality Retreat – March 2018

and rightdoing there is a field.
I’ll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass
the world is too full to talk about.”

Awakening to Spirituality Retreat – March 6 to 11, 2018, in Byron Bay Australia

Do you yearn for deeper spiritual connection? Do you know that your heart is calling you to live a more intuitive and connected life, but you’re not sure how to do that? Are you a little afraid of what opening up to Spirit may entail?

I invite you to join me on a profound journey of discovery. I designed this year’s Awakening to Spirituality mentoring retreat for those people who have inherent intuitive and spiritual gifts but who are unsure how to tap into them, or best use them.

Let me and my Guides help get you firmly walking on your spiritual path, particularly if you feel the call, but are not sure how to start, or if you want to work with others but lack the courage to use your gifts and live your dreams. This retreat is also good for those people who’ve become stuck or lost their direction! No matter what your spiritual or religious beliefs this retreat will support you to explore that connection deeply and in truly meaningful ways.

I believe that our lives become fulfilling and satisfying by honouring our soul’s need for connection and by using our potential to do good in the world through contributing our unique talents, gifts and knowledge. Let me help you honour these gifts that you have been given, and the intentions you have as a soul for your growth and contribution in this lifetime. The spiritual journey is necessarily one of healing, and we will be focusing on the importance of asking for Universal Help and then creating space within our lives to allow connection, guidance and healing to happen on a physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual level. This helps us to deal with energetic blockages, resistance to our path, and to create positive flows of energy and spiritual guidance within our lives.

As you begin to connect with your inner wisdom, Universal Energy/God and your Guides, so you will become empowered in making choices more aligned with who you are on a Soul Level.

On this retreat we will:

  • Learn The Habits – a daily process that takes only minutes but that connects, grounds and supports us throughout our day
  • create our own sacred space with a spiritual altar that you will be able to then reconstruct at home
  • cover what spiritual awakening actually is and what to do with that. I will also introduce my Guides, and conduct several channelled sessions with them, giving you the opportunity to ask THEM questions too!
  • connect you to your guides and angels
  • learn what vibration is, how to become conscious of yours, and how to use it in your life
  • learn meditation techniques for spiritual growth and connection
  • learn meditations for healing ourselves
  • use intuitive tools to support your journey and to obtain guidance
  • access the dream state to heal and grow, and to deepen our psychic connection
  • learn simple hands-on energy healing techniques
  • learn how to tune in to our best direction in life, love and business
  • craft tools and talismans for your spiritual journey

This is a gentle, restorative and supportive retreat, where you will be mentored and guided by me and my team every step of the way, and in the company of people who will become great friends over the course of our time together.

No matter how much of a beginner you feel, or how long it has been since you have had a regular spiritual practice you will find what you need on this retreat.

My Meditation Practice for this Group:

Before the Retreat begins, I choose a bead for each of you, and string it into a meditation mala. The bead will have a shape and texture that makes it individual within the group, just like you. Next, I spend significant time in prayer and meditation for YOU, asking what you most need, and how I can best help you.

Then I put together your kit. Each kit is personal and designed for your specific energetic and spiritual needs. The kit has everything you need for the duration of the course, including a personal crystal chosen by me, and programmed just for you. The kit will be given to you at our introduction session.

For two weeks prior to the course commencement, during the course, and for two weeks following the completion of our activities, I will meditate for you and the group twice a day; once in the morning, and once in the evening, for a total of four hours. During this time I will send you healing, work on you energetically, and help lift you into the space that will best serve you. It􏰀’s an act of huge devotion, and everyone who has worked with me has felt the effects of my efforts during these meditation sessions.

If you’d like more information, or feel that you are called to join us please contact my PA, Dana Hartnell at nicolecodyinfo@gmail.com and she will send you what you need! Once again the dates are 6 to 11 March, 2018, at beautiful Byron Bay, Australia. All YOMMERS receive a discount for attendance at this event. Please let Dana know if that’s you. And do be quick to reserve a place, as my courses full quickly.

Much love to you, Nicole❤ xoxo

Monday Oracle – 4 December 2017

“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes...” – Marcel Proust

Hello, Lovelies!

December is a month for gifts of pleasure, true abundance and celebration. Keep that in mind as we look at the gifts which the oracle card Discovery brings us.

So, what awareness does Discovery bring us this week?

This week is all about forgiveness, sitting in our heart space, letting go of judgement and criticism of self and others, and being able to embrace the moment while becoming open to receive as we draw opportunities and adventures to us for the year ahead. It’s time to forgive ourselves for all of those moments in our lives we look back on and wince. It’s time to forgive others, to allow for new connections or healing to replace that energy of stuckness, pain, anger and shame.

I’m loving this week’s energy. I’ve just finished a BIG meditation for you, focusing on opening up to new possibilities and becoming comfortable with change. (It supports and continues the intention work I did with our crystal grid for 2018 on retreat last week.)

When we keep comparing our life to how it was a week, a month, years ago, it holds us in the past, and prevents us seeing the wonderful things in front of us right now. This week Discovery encourages us to let go of our attachment to needing situations or people to ‘go back’ to how they were in the past, or dwelling on ‘how they could have been’. If you’ve found yourself drowning in regret and melancholy, stuck in the past or glorifying how things were or ‘might have turned out if only things had happened differently’, this is your week to break that unhealthy attachment to wanting to recreate the impossible.

We finally begin to understand that we are changed, and can never return to who we were yesterday, a month ago, a decade ago. That person no longer exists because we have evolved and moved forward. The Universe is an ever-expanding force, and so are you. This holds true for everyone around you. None of us is the same person we were. Everyone and everything changes. We can never go back, only forward.

Discovery opens us to change and new life. It’s a week for letting go in order to embrace the new. As every door closes another one opens.

Keep reminding yourself that life is an unfolding miracle and you are worthy of love and all good things. It’s true, and I’m holding that space for you in my meditations this week.

Supportive crystals this week?

Clear Quartz lifts your vibration and opens you to flow. It is a highly spiritual stone, encouraging self-reflection and helpful for hearing messages and receiving signs or direction that can assist you on your journey. A clear quartz point or cluster will be extra supportive for you this week! Carnelian gives increased feelings of self-acceptance, creativity, energy and practical inspiration. Iolite illuminates your depths and helps you to see what’s hiding, and what you’re not seeing – a beautiful stone for boosting self-belief. Unakite opens your heart to love, and draws love, friendship and helpful people to you. It helps you to overcome feelings of isolation or loneliness.

Helpful essential oils?

I’m loving Young Living’s Envision this week. It’s an oil blend I often use in my workshops and retreats to help my students connect to inner wisdom and intuition. It helps us to see a greater possibility for ourselves. Use Envision for spiritual connection, inspiration and breakthroughs. Dab a drop on your Crown Chakra, back of neck, over your heart, wrists and the soles of your feet, inhale directly or add to your diffuser.

Want to make your own blend? Each of the following oils will work beautifully on their own for you this week, but they’ll also make a delicious combination for diffusing. Frankincense for spiritual and intuitive connection and restoration of faith. Geranium for stress reduction and emotional balance, and for evoking a sense of peace and goodwill. Orange for optimism and happiness. Pine for being grounded and centred in ourselves as we open to our highest potential. Pine is also an oil that supports family gatherings and open connection. To diffuse add 2 or three drops of each oil to your room or personal diffuser. You can find the oils here.

Holding you, as always, in my thoughts, prayers and meditations, and intending for you a life of abundance and joy, where you are no longer limited by your doubts.

All my love,

Nicole ❤ xx

Breakthroughs Ahead! – Monday Oracle September 25 2017

A single day is enough to make us a little larger or, another time, a little smaller.
~ Paul Klee

Hello, Lovelies!

If you read my forecast for September, you’ll know that it’s a month of possibility and expansive energy, of change and curiosity, and of starting small projects that may take a long time, but that we care about deeply. Keep that in mind as we look at the gifts which the oracle card Recovery brings us.

So, what awareness does Recovery bring us this week?

This is a card of hope, heralding a time of intense healing, breakthroughs, self-discoveries and, for some, the need to answer a personal calling.

Got a problem? Recovery reassures you there are solutions and that the best way to deal with your problem is to stop going it alone and seek someone who has successfully walked the same hard road that you now struggle with. This week, find a mentor, a teacher, a counsellor, expert, therapist, course or coach. Walk that hard road with their guidance. The best criteria for choosing someone to work with? They’ve travelled the road ahead of you and are now in a better place – or they are deeply experienced in bringing positive results to someone in your situation and have a track record of success. How do you find the right person? Ask questions, use word of mouth, look for evidence of good results, trust that the right kind of help can show up in your life.

There’s no need to reinvent the wheel. Why make life harder for yourself than it has to be? This week use someone else’s system, knowledge, road map.

It’s also a great week for deep thinking and reflection, journalling and self-work. Ask, and expect answers. Even more, expect to gain understanding and knowledge so that you can make lasting change in your life.

For a select few this is also a week where you will feel stirred to answer a calling. You see, you will be the one who blazed the trail and survived the hard journey. If that’s you, it’s time to use that experience to help guide and support others. You can be the teacher, healer, guide or author that you wished you’d been able to find for yourself.

Supportive crystals this week?

Smoky Quartz keeps us grounded and gifts us inner strength and the ability to listen deeply. Fuchsite  taps us in to the healing power of nature, and helps us to rediscover optimism. Moss Agate helps us navigate shift and opens us to change. Rose Quartz is a stone of love and nurture – the crystal world equivalent of a great big reassuring hug, a soothing cup of tea and a best friend to hold your hand through life’s decisions and challenges.

Here are those stones (as well as some Kimberley Fire Quartz) in the grid we’ve made for our Temple of Light Retreat that I’m facilitating this week:

Helpful essential oils?

Each of the following oils will work beautifully on their own for you this week, but they also make a delicious combination for diffusing. Frankincense elevates our mood and promotes spiritual connection and intuition, Basil enhances focus and mental clarity,  Lavender supports us emotionally and gifts us calm and a sense of relaxation and safety, and Orange for joy, gratitude and optimism. To diffuse add 2 or three drops of each oil to your room or personal diffuser. You can find the oils here.

Holding you, as always, in my thoughts, prayers and meditations, and intending for you a life of abundance and joy, where you are no longer limited by your doubts.

All my love,

Nicole ❤ xx

Is this life of mine my fault?

“If your daily life seems poor, do not blame it; blame yourself, tell yourself that you are not poet enough to call forth its riches; for to the creator there is no poverty and no poor indifferent place.”
~ Rainer Maria Rilke

Lovelies, I received a very thought-provoking question recently in regard to the quote from Rainer Maria Rilke at the top of this post, and I wanted to address it here on my blog. Like many things in life there is no simple answer, and as it is a question I have asked myself over and over again in this lifetime I wanted to share my response.

Here’s the excellent question:

Good morning,
Mine is a question Nicole that troubles me.
I always love the captions/snippets from other writers under your lovely images and this morning’s starts with ” if your daily life seems poor don’t blame it”
My question is how does this fit with all the poor souls born into or find themselves in shocking conditions they have no control over such as absolute poverty, war, famine, abusive families?
How have they created this? How can it possibly be their fault?
These questions have troubled me because they don’t seem to fit into the positive thinking or “ask and it shall be given” brackets. Can your guides help with some clarity here ?
Thank you for your blogs, they have been part of my day for years now.
Elle xx

As many of you know my life has had its share of troubles, pain and obstacles. When I was young and idealistic I thought that this suffering was unfair. Why did I have these problems when friends of mine seemed to be floating along on a cloud of joy, love, support and happiness?

But looking into the window of the life of another never truly tells you what is going on. I have found, through life experience and in my decades of working as a psychic and mentor, that all of us have troubles and many of these are invisible to those around us.

Throughout my life, in an attempt to heal, I have also explored every possible avenue including much time spent in trying to undo, rectify or heal any wrong-doing, thought or action I may have taken that may have led to my suffering.

Goodness, how mean I have been to myself – blaming myself for my circumstances and believing that this suffering was all my fault.

War, famine, drought, accidents, random acts of violence and horror, abusive relationships, terrible illnesses. Did we sign up for these? Much of the New Age movement would have us think so. Works such as the book ‘You can heal your life’ and the philosophy of the Law of Attraction make it easy to buy into the concept that any problems or suffering in our lives are a direct result of our karma, our thoughts and our attitudes. Perhaps we even chose suffering as part of our ‘contract’ in coming here to this life.

I have seen the dramatic recent rise of shaming of people who actually need our empathy and support – people with issues as diverse as addictions, autistic children, staying in a marriage with a partner who has mental health issues, cancer, chronic illness, depression, or displacement from their country due to war. Human kindness is too often replaced by judgement from those fortunate enough to not be in the same circumstances. Rise up, they say. Change your thoughts. Juice vegetables. Go vegan. Wear a crystal. Parent better. Use less chemicals. Make different choices. Have more discipline. Heal your past lives!

(Want to read more on this theme? My Sad Unicorns post covers this ‘dangerous magical thinking’ problem in detail.)

I’ve seen mothers told that their young children’s illness is the result of past-life religious transgressions. I’ve listened as people have judged someone with cancer for having caused it by not having a clean lifestyle. Yes, it’s true that there are lifestyle factors involved with many illnesses, including cancer. But that’s not the whole picture. I’ve watched friends who are vegans, vegetarians, yoga instructors – every possible thing that you could consider the epitome of a healthy, anti-cancer chemical-free loving and natural lifestyle be struck down and taken by cancers, savagely and fast.

Dear Elle, yours is an excellent question, and this is what I believe. Life is difficult and wonderful and dangerous and fraught with risk. Things happen for which we will never find a reason. People in power make decisions that affect millions. Accidents and mistakes happen. Weather patterns change. Our genetics hands us a bad card or wild one. Illnesses occur and we don’t yet have the science to interpret and understand them fully. And none of that is our fault. If we look wider we see that this is also true for plants and animals and places. No-one and nothing is immune to suffering, desecration, destruction or death.

So what does that have to do with Rainer Maria Rilke’s quote? I think this quote is more about how we cope with life’s suffering than our thoughts as a causative agent of that suffering. I believe that there is one thing we do have control over. We can choose how we feel, how we react, what we think. In even the most difficult of lives we can find tiny windows of calm, of nurture, of beauty, and small moments of grace and gratitude. That is one of the gifts of suffering – it can promote mindfulness and with mindfulness comes an opportunity to mentally lift ourselves out of impossible pain and hardship for a short while. It gifts us resilience, and meaning and a way to endure.

I hope that helps,

Much love, Nicole xx

And the Winner is…

“As I walk through the wilderness, my eyes and my heart are pulled towards the thicket, the ever-changing landscapes, the gentle daisy and the old beloved stones; as I marvel at the timeless complexities of creation, Nature never disappoints me.”
― Amelia Dashwood

We had so many entries for our meditation stones competition! It was hard to choose just one winner, but we have and that person is Jo-Ann Chrome. Jo-Ann, can you please contact Chelsi at chelsi@cauldronsandcupcakes.com with your contact details? I’ll need to touch base with you so that I can create your very own guided meditation to use with the stones.

Meanwhile I have been very busy meditating with two more meditation stones for August. You use both stones together, and as part of the month’s prize I will again record a personal guided meditation just for the winner!

As I hold these stones in my hand each day for the month of August I meditate with the intent that they will hold energies in a way that can be transferred to the user.

The first stone is petrified wood from Longreach. I found this on one of my many Australian outback adventures. It is this month’s Anchoring Stone and its energies help us to stay grounded, clear and calm, connecting into our bodies, and to the earth and nature.

The energies and intention infused into the Longreach Petrified Wood are that the holder moves from pain and fear to calm and acceptance of all that is. That the many layers of old thoughts, feelings and hurts fall away, leaving only love and wisdom. It is also a stone for calling in Guides and Ancestors to watch over you. It will reduce inflammation and promote circulation. It feels so comforting in my hand, and I know you’ll find it a comfort too.

The second stone is the Connection Stone, and it is a delicious rough Smoky Citrine Phantom Quartz that I found in the river bed behind our house. Connection stones connect us to Universal energy, as well as to Angels, Guides, Ancestors and our own wise soul energy.

This special crystal treasure holds energies of the volcanic cradle that is Byron Bay, and it will help you to shed old patterns and ways of being so that you can come into deeper alignment with your true self. It’s a stone of emotional healing and spiritual awakening.

The Smoky Citrine Phantom Quartz is protective and promotes joy. It’s also a stunning stone for connecting you to past life wisdom and to creative ideas that are waiting to be brought forth through you.

I adore the combination of these two natural Australian stones. Do they feel good to you too? Their energy is very strong and clear and they work very well together.

All of the love and energy and intention that I pour into these stones will be available for the user in their own meditation. It’s also okay if you’ve never meditated before. I’ll send you instructions!

Thank you, everyone, for your entries into the July competition. It meant so much to me to read your words, and I want you to know that I’ve added you all to my healing meditations and said a prayer for each of you.

We’ll post details about how to win this month’s stones soon, and I’ll also be giving away a set of stones every month between now and December, so there are still plenty of chances for you to win.

Biggest love and hugs to all of you, Nicole   xoxo

 – Nayyirah Waheed

Hi Everyone!

Yesterday, Nicole messaged me if I could relay a message to you. As of the moment she has no access to stable internet connection, not even a phone at the farm while it is being fixed. Still, she would like to send you all the love by giving you our Top 5 most listened to meditations here at Cauldrons and Cupcakes!

1. Body Awareness

“We are spiritual beings in physical bodies. This guided meditation will help you to be aware of both your energetic or ‘soul’ nature, and your physical vehicle. It will orient your chakras, and connect you into the earth and wider universe.

You’ll need to set aside about half an hour for this meditation. Sit or lie somewhere quietly, using pillows or blankets if needed to make yourself comfortable. Then simply close your eyes and follow the sound of my voice. It’s fine to let yourself fall asleep during the meditation, or immediately afterwards.”

2. Guided Meditation for Solar Chakra

“This short guided meditation for you to help balance and work with the energy of your Solar Plexus Chakra. All you need to do is sit or lie comfortably and follow along with the sound of my voice”

3. Spiritual Grounding

“This simple guided meditation specifically for helping you to ground into the earth. All you have to do is close your eyes, and follow my voice. Set aside fifteen minutes to relax, ground and heal. This is a very useful and powerful meditation, and I hope you enjoy it! ”

4. Connecting With Ancestors

“It’s not important for you to know who your Ancestors are, or how they are related to you. What is important is that you have an open mind, an open heart and a desire to create that connection.

You’ll need to set aside twenty-five minutes for this meditation. Sit or lie somewhere quietly, using pillows or blankets if needed to make yourself comfortable. Then simply close your eyes, hold your crystal or stone and follow the sound of my voice. It’s fine to let yourself fall asleep during the meditation, or immediately afterwards.”

5. Tibetan Singing Bowl -Healing

Nicole Cody Tibetan Singing Bowl

“The tones of the bowl help to shift blockages and lower energies from your body and auric field. It’s a little like being in a sound shower, where the vibration cleanses you all over, and through and through.”

We hope you enjoy our little offering today.  Chelsi (Nicole’s VA)  ❤ xx

5 Simple Ways To Love Yourself Better

“Have the courage to love yourself like you always wished someone would.”

Everyone knows that self-love is vital to building self-esteem and self-confidence, for setting healthy boundaries and feeling good about yourself. Problem is, if you don’t feel good about yourself to start with, if you don’t like yourself much and you’re feeling pretty depressed and miserable, then trying to love yourself is like holding onto a single helium-filled birthday balloon and expecting it can fly you to Mars.  Mission Impossible!

So what do you do when your sense of self is hanging by a thread, but you just can’t make that mental leap from loathing to loving?

When loving yourself and feeling good about yourself seems impossible, then what you need to do is parent yourself. That’s where you do the things you know you need to do, even when you don’t want to, can’t be bothered, or feel that you don’t deserve to treat yourself well.

Good parents create environments where we can grow, be safe, and learn to get to know ourselves and the world around us.  They support us, provide emotional connection and support, love us and guide us until we move to a place of maturity where we can do these things for ourselves.

Even when you find it hard to love yourself, there is a wise part of your soul that intuitively knows what you need to get back to a place of balance. Your job is to let that parent part of you – the Wise Soul – make the choices for the part of you that is struggling to get on your feet and feel good again.

Here are five simple things you can do to make a start towards healing your relationship with yourself. I’ve also added suggested crystals that are supportive for each step:

1.  Decide to accept yourself right now, as you are and where you are in life. Too often we tell ourselves that we’ll like ourselves better when we’ve lost weight, found a job, left a bad relationship, found a good relationship, stopped smoking, gotten fit, or won lotto. When we put conditions on loving ourselves, we never get to that mysterious just-around-the-corner place that is forever up ahead and out of our reach.  Be honest with yourself.  If life is painful, admit that. Don’t numb yourself with alcohol, drugs, food or overwork.  Reach out for help if you’re having trouble coping, or need some new skills and strategies to make tomorrow look different to today. Best crystals for self acceptance – Tiger Eye, Blue Calcite or Rhodonite

2.  Create a safe space.  Everyone needs a place to call home, where they can relax, be themselves, and surround themselves with things that reflect their sense of self. Music, plants, posters or paintings, colours and fragrances – all of these things can help ground you and give you a sense of belonging and security.  It’s not about the objects as much as the energy they create. Start by making sure your space is clean. Dirt, mess and clutter drain you and create stagnant energy.  Clear the clutter, and then begin to make your space somewhere that is inviting, uplifting and positive. Best crystals for a sense of safety and peace – Banded Agate, Smoky Quartz, Rose Quartz, Sodalite and Snowflake Obsidian

3.  Practice respect.  Respect yourself enough to avoid, minimise your exposure to or end toxic relationships and to stop toxic behavours. Respect your body by eating well, and by exercising daily – even when it’s hard.  Especially when it’s hard and you don’t want to. That’s what parents do.  They make sure we drink enough water, eat our greens, get enough sleep, and get out of bed in the morning.  In everything that you do, ask yourself “Does this action or choice honour me?”  When we suffer from a lack of self-love it’s easy to make choices that don’t do the best by us.  In some cases we even choose things that sabotage our well-being.  Once again, if you’re really struggling here, ask for help, whether it’s a counsellor, personal trainer, rehab facility or a good friend who has your back. Great crystals healing self-sabotage and supporting self respect – Black Tourmaline, Amazonite, Yellow Turquoise, Bloodstone

4.  Find something to look forward to and work towards it, or include it in your life.  Whether it’s an overseas holiday, salsa dancing lessons, art classes or writing your life story, everyone needs to have a sense of purpose, and that purpose doesn’t have to be career related. Don’t be afraid to dream big, even if you have to start small. Best crystals for joy and connection to the flow of life – Green Aventurine, Citrine, Rose Quartz, Fluorite

5.  Spend some time in nature each day. Fresh air and sunshine has been used as a remedy for depression and to heal all manner of ills for centuries. Watching animals in nature has been proven to lower blood pressure, increase endorphins and relax tension in our muscles. Having contact with pets also helps us heal and feel better about ourselves, and teaches us responsibility for others. Best crystals for connection to nature and the earth – Jasper, Carnelian, Hematite,  Septarian Nodules, Unakite

Treat yourself with kindness today and always. Holding you in my prayers and meditations,
