Why You Need To Stop Fighting How You Feel Right Now!

“Sometimes you need to sit lonely on the floor in a quiet room in order to hear your own voice and not let it drown in the noise of others.”
Charlotte Eriksson

Hi, Lovelies!

The energies of these past few days and the ones that follow – through until late this week – are turbulent, unstable and unsettling.

Please don’t think you’re going crazy. It will all settle in time, and by the time it settles shift will have occurred.

Meanwhile, expect big swings in mood. Expect highs and lows. Expect fluctuations in your energy levels. Expect to feel confident one minute and insecure the next, motivated and then filled with procrastination, clear and then confused.

Don’t fight it. Don’t push to do or be when you are not in a space aligned with that energy. Fighting our feelings and denying them closes down our intuition and inner voice. That’s the gift of this turbulence – it’s opening us up to heightened levels of energetic sensitivity.

Pay attention to what comes up for you. There are big clues this week about what is working, where your soul yearns to be, and what in your life is out of alignment with your deeper truth.

For some of you who are deeply empathic and intuitive you’ll find the next few days tough. You may even feel physically unsettled, restless, nauseous or otherwise unwell. Do your best to ride it out. Stay well hydrated, rest, use grounding essential oils such as Frankincense, Sandalwood, Vetiver and Lavender. Withdraw from the world for a while if it’s easier. Meditation is also a good coping tool.

Soon enough stability will return, and from that place you’ll find you have new perspectives, clarity and an openness to new possibilities. Until then flow with it all, rising and falling like the tide.

Be gentle with yourself, and with each other.  Change is coming, and it’s needed and good.

Much love to you, Nicole  xx

Why I Love Using Mala Beads In Meditation

“if
the ocean
can calm itself,
so can you.
we
are both
salt water
mixed with
air.”
Nayyirah Waheed

Meditation – it’s something most people know is good for us, but it’s also something that remains outside the grasp of many.

I meditate every day, twice a day, and I use a variety of techniques, but one of my favourite is to use a mala.

A mala is a string of 108 beads. They are sometimes known as prayer beads, buddha beads or rosary beads.  Maybe you wear one as jewellery – they’ve become very popular lately, and it seems that every second person has one wrapped around their wrist or hung about their neck.

When I am tired, stressed or overthinking using a mala in meditation gives my fingers something to do and occupies that busy part of my brain so that I can gently come back to a place of calm and peace. I hold each bead in my fingers one by one, and slowly travel each of the 108 beads. I might use my breath, a prayer, a mantra, a visualisation, or something more shamanic. And it transforms me. It soothes me. It heals and reconnects me.

I can’t recommend using a mala highly enough, especially if you are the type of person who usually struggles with meditation, or who has never been able to do it in a way that has been helpful for you.

I have used Mala beads in meditation now for nearly forty years. Still they teach me. Still they open new places inside me, and in my awareness and knowledge.

Even holding or wearing my Mala brings me peace.

If I am preparing to mentor students or run a retreat I will create a meditation mala specifically for my group, with each bead representing a student. I chose a different style of bead for each person, one that will be immediately recognisable to my touch. When my fingers find that bead in meditation I can tune in to my student, assess how they are going, and send them healing, energy and direction. When the course is complete I will pull the mala apart and send my students their personal bead for them to wear or as a talisman and keepsake.

My mala beads

Soon I will teach my next workshop, showing each student how to craft their own Mala. Showing their own fingers how to seek out and hold each bead. Showing them how to connect with and use their Mala for prayer, for healing, for meditation, for manifestation, for connection to self and soul and all that is.

The idea of that sharing filled my weary heart this morning, bringing me comfort and inner expansion. I finished my meditation with a deep calm and a renewed energy.

Praying the Mala is one of the most restorative practices I know, and I’m so grateful to have this in my toolkit.

If you’d like to learn how to make your own mala beads and how to use them in meditation you’re welcome to join me on Sunday, July 1 in Brisbane for my one-day Meditation and Mala Beads workshop.

I have blessed wooden and rudraksha malas, as well as an extensive range of crystal beads, pearls, ceramic beads and tassels for us to use in the workshop. You’ll be able to combine these to craft something that is deeply meaningful to you, and that will be supportive of your journey while reflecting your personal taste and energy. I’ll show you how to use them in a range of ways, and you’ll soon be able to find your own path to peace and mindfulness.

Biggest love and hugs to you, Nicole  xx

Accelerated Channelling Course Update

“Every thought is a creative energy that moves the universe to action.”
― Réné Gaudett

Hi, Lovelies!
I just wanted to let you know that we have been inundated with interest for our 2018 Accelerated Channelling course, mentoring and retreat.

Every place has now been filled and we also have a waiting list for this course. Expressions of Interest and Booking Form submissions are now closed.

We are so excited to be delivering this course, and sharing some of this material for the very first time. I know that many of you felt a strong calling to join us, and I wanted to reassure you that it’s not too late. Although our offering for 2018 is filled, we have some good news.

Currently, we are finalising dates so that we can run this same course again in 2019. Once again we expect this course to sell out very quickly. Those of you who were successful with your EOI but weren’t quick enough submitting your booking form to secure a place will be offered advance placement for next year’s course. We will then release details and an early-bird booking opportunity just as soon as we have all the details locked in.

If you wanted to apply this year but felt you weren’t quite ready I recommend you attend either of my one-day workshops that will be held in Brisbane at the end of this month. Foundation Spiritual Practices workshop on June 30 will give you the foundation skills you need to build a regular spiritual and energetic practice to prepare you for retreat. Making and Using Meditation Mala Beads on July 1 will help you to use meditation as a tool for developing your psychic and intuitive connection and is a logical step for those of you who are yearning for a deeper connection with self, Guides and God. Details on both of these courses are available here.

And of course if you want to see channelling in action come join me in Brisbane on Friday night, June 29 for an evening with me and my Guides. Details here.

Much love, Nicole  xx

Are You Ready For Our Accelerated Channelling Retreat?

“Spirituality is not adopting more beliefs and assumptions but uncovering the best in you.” ~ Amit Ray

When I first became serious about my spiritual and psychic journey, when I’d gone past that beginner space and I knew that it was time to make the most of my abilities I searched high and low for a book, a teacher, anything that would guide me.

And I found… nothing.

Are you where I was, way back when? Do you feel a yearning for deeper spiritual connection, a calling to be of service in some way, a desire to be more than you currently are and to live with a far greater degree of self-awareness? Do you want to find a way to make your psychic and intuitive gifts a more normal and natural part of your wider life, and to do more with those gifts?

The course and retreat that I am about to share with you is the course I wish I had found. I’ve created an intensive mentoring course that includes two months of online work with a six-day residential retreat in the middle. The focus (and the name of this course) is Accelerated Channelling Using Sacred Geometry.

Channelling isn’t just about connecting into energies and wisdom outside of yourself. It’s also about connecting more deeply to your own wisdom and soul experience. At its most pure channelling is a shamanic practice that will render you more authentically yourself, burning away the contrivances and insecurities that you’ve been hiding behind.

I designed this Intensive Mentoring Course and Retreat to give you the best possible support and experience for your spiritual journey. It’s everything I was looking for back when I was looking to grow myself psychically in order to move to a more advanced level of practice, connection and self-awareness. This course is all about getting you ready to do the work you came here to do or advancing your existing work in the world. If you’re ready and have been waiting for the teacher to appear, here I am.

Throughout our time together I’ll tune you up to these post-2012 energies and actively accelerate your psychic, spiritual and personal growth by teaching you a range of practices and techniques to open you to channelling, to your Higher Self, and to your Oversoul.

Give me ten minutes of your day for two months. give me six days of your life in the midst of that, and I’ll help you reach places you’d never thought possible in your metaphysical practice. And these practices and techniques will continue to grow and guide you long after our time together ends.

I’m passionate about this course. It combines more than thirty years of my own experience with new channelled information, Soul Journeymaker work, Chakra Wisdoms and Sacred Geometry. I know you’re ready for it – even if you feel like a complete novice right now. What I’m looking for is those of you with that sense of a calling and a commitment to this journey. In these new energies since 2015 connection is easier and things that once took my advanced students months to master I have been teaching to my beginners in just a few hours. Imagine where I’ll take you in our time together!

If you’re ready for the next stage of your spiritual journey CLICK HERE to access more information.

Then when you’re ready CLICK HERE to fill in your Expression of Interest.

But please act quickly, because this course has only a few places left and it will sell out quickly.

I’m looking forward to working with you, Nicole xx

Are You Using The Hive Mind Yet?

“Hive Mind – a collective consciousness, analogous to the behavior of social insects, in which a group of people become aware of their commonality and think and act as a community, sharing their knowledge, thoughts, and resources” ~ dictionary.com

“Twitter in particular has often been termed a “hive mind” that connects users to draw on the help of a larger group, such as getting suggestions for where to eat in an unfamiliar city.” ~ Ben Zimmer

We’re at the dawn of a new energetic era – a time of co-operation, collaboration, community and connection. And we’ve just left an energetic era that was all about hoarding knowledge as power and of the rise of the independent and disconnected individual.

What that means for most of us who were born prior to 2012 is that we’re lousy at asking for help, and we’ve grown up expecting to solve our own problems and to suffer silently in the doing of that.

I can feel you nodding your heads in agreement. Empaths, intuitives and sensitive souls especially – we’re not good at asking for ourselves, we’re only good at helping others.

Which brings me to the reason I’m writing this post.

It’s no longer necessary for us to have all the answers. It’s time to throw ourselves open to the hive mind. It’s time to start asking for help. This era asks that of us – if we are to evolve and grow.

Trust that someone within your family, workplace, social network or in the wider community will hold the solution to your problem, or as a group they will work out something more elegant and suited to your needs than anything you could come up with on your own.

I have a dear friend whose husband has just been diagnosed with cancer this week. They live in a rural community with their young children, but her husband will need to come to the city for treatment. She told me she’d love to come with him for his first appointments and chemo sessions, but she needs to be home for her children. But she doesn’t. She lives within a community. She has friends and family, and a wider group of people who care. If she throws her problem over to them someone or several of the group will come up with a solution for her. She doesn’t have to do this alone. And I know if someone else in her community was in her position she would naturally be one of the first people to offer them help or to rally a group to support them.

Please, lovelies, stop struggling on your own and ask for help. Then accept that help. Contribute your own energy to the hive mind, but also use it yourself.

I’m so excited about the possibilities of this new era and how it can help all of us move to a place of more kindness, compassion, community and connection. And it starts with us asking and being open to help and new ideas, and us sharing our own wisdom and knowledge.

Breathe a sigh of relief. It feels good not to have to struggle on our own. It feels good to be able to reach out to others for help and to help others too. Not every burden is ours to carry alone.

Much love to you, Nicole   xx

A Delicious Offer For Lovers Of Plant Wisdom from My Friend Maia Toll

“Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature’s peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of Autumn.”
John Muir

I don’t endorse people and their work lightly. But I feel very comfortable introducing you to my dear friend Maia Toll. Maia is a herbalist, teacher and wise woman. She’s also a gifted writer. Over the past few years I’ve watched as she has created and birthed a wonderful project – a book titled The Illustrated Herbiary which also comes with 36 Oracle Cards. It will be published by Storey in August this year and I’m bursting at the seams with pride and anticipation.

I’ve had the honour of reading the draft copy, and of exploring this new resource Maia has created for us. She introduces us to 36 different plants, sharing their wisdom and taking us on a journey both mystical and practical. Although Maia is my friend that makes no difference to my assessment of these cards and handbook – she has created something important, something special, something unique and so worth adding to your collection. This book and card deck will help you on your own soul journey. The illustrations, the text itself, the activities and exercises – all of them are precious and meaningful. I just love this project and I know that you will too.

Right now if you pre-order your copy Maia is offering you a free course ‘Secrets of The Illustrated Herbiary’ which will help you to increase your awareness of your energetic self, tap into your inner wisdom and forge a deeper connection with both yourself and nature. It’s a generous and special offer, and I wanted all of you to be able to take advantage of this sharing.

Want a sneak peek? Watch this short clip to get an idea of the gorgeousness inside the covers!

You can find out more about Maia and her book and cards here. Just follow the directions, pre-order and then go back to claim your free place on her course.

I look forward to sharing more of Maia’s work with you when her book launches. Meanwhile, go pre-order your copy and then dive into her bonus online course.

Love and hugs from Maia’s very proud friend, Nicole   xx

PS – don’t you just love this pic of Maia surrounded by her herbs!

A Big Week For Change and Healing – Monday Oracle 21 May 2018

“I can love who I think you are
Or you can allow yourself
To be yourself
So that I can love YOU.”
― Kate McGahan

Hello, Lovelies!

May is a month that empowers you to take the long view of your goals, and to make decisions and take actions that support those goals. We see that it is pointless to put ourselves under endless pressure. May supports sustainable action, and working towards our goals and dreams bit by bit, step by step. Keep that in mind as we look at the gifts of inspiration which the oracle card The Big Bad Wolf brings us.

The Big Bad Wolf calls on us to face our fears, our shadow side, and the dark place where we hide our secret hopes and dreams.

If you’re honest (and I want you to be honest) there are parts of yourself that you’re ashamed of – things that have happened in the past, that were done to you or that you’ve done to yourself or someone else. Or maybe you’re ashamed of the way you look or the way you act or of your current situation.

There are places and emotions within you that may make you feel uncomfortable. Perhaps it’s anger, maybe it’s lust, or it could be a huge desire to say ‘Screw it!’ and walk away from whatever is the sensible situation or relationship that everyone else keeps telling you is so great.

There are also dreams and desires you keep hidden deep inside because they mean so much to you. If you act on them and fail then who will you be? If you act on them and are judged or are rejected who will love you? If this thing doesn’t work out what will shape your life and give it meaning?

The Big Bad Wolf shows you that these inner places hold the key that will unlock your power. Embracing them and integrating them into your life, or bringing them out into the light to be healed or expressed will help you to grow and give your life satisfaction and meaning.

Think about those shadow parts of yourself and those secret dreams. Then find a way to claim them, heal them, integrate them, act on them. That’s your path to growth, and your path to self-love and reconnection with all that you are. This week can be life-changing if you are brave enough to act.

Trust your intuition – it’s heightened right now and this deeper sensitivity will guide you well.

Supportive crystals this week?

Orange Calcite connects you to inspiration and your heart’s desires and is a wonderful beginner stone for tuning in to the spiritual realms. Use it to help you see your first steps forward. Amethyst helps you tune in to spiritual guidance and also helps you to think deeply about your problems in ways that allow solutions to be found. Smoky Quartz (pictured) helps you tune in to your shadow side with empathy, compassion and wisdom. Tiger Eye will help you focus, make big decisions and act with integrity and courage.

Helpful essential oils?

Cypress is a very useful oil this week, unless you’re pregnant or lactating (if you are please don’t use this oil – try Roman Chamomile instead!). Cypress has a woodsy fresh aroma that is expansive and uplifting. It works with our heart chakra, helping us to step into our power and to move through grief, pain and trauma with grace and courage. It’s a great oil for your diffuser.

Want to create a soothing and empowering blend for the week ahead?
Add 6 drops of Cypress, 2 drops of Bergamot, 2 drops of Frankincense and 2 drops of Lavender.

You can find the oils here.

If you’re looking for some extra support for your spiritual journey come check out my (rescheduled!) Pop Up Shop, Channelling Night and One Day Workshops in Brisbane 29 June to 1 July. I’ll be teaching Foundation Spiritual Practices (the things I used to develop my own psychic and intuitive skills, self-awareness and compassion), Meditation and Mala making (this second workshop is brilliant if you are feeling stressed and overwhelmed, stuck or suffering from anxiety or depression). No matter what level you’re at I’ll have something for you on my program. More details here!

Holding you, as always, in my thoughts, prayers and meditations, and intending for you a life of abundance and joy, where you are no longer limited by your doubts.

All my love,

Nicole ❤ xx

PS: Monday’s oracle card, ‘The Big Bad Wolf’, is from the Inner Child Cards – A Fairy-Tale Tarot. I use any cards shown as a prompt for channelled messages and my own own intuitive wisdom, so my take is sometimes quite different to the meaning found in a book.

Being Okay With Where You Are

“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don’t resist them; that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.”
Lao Tzu

I’m still recovering from the flu, and gee, it’s taking muuuuuuch longer than I would have liked. On top of that I managed to pick up a vomiting bug because of my dodgy immune system, so that has meant a couple of useless days just as I was picking up again.

I have to be honest. Yesterday morning after a horrid night I was quite despairing. You know; tears of frustration, being totally over it, and yes – being down on myself too. I wanted to be writing. I wanted to be back at work. I wanted to be doing so many other things. I wanted hair free of knots!!! (Try lying in bed through fevers and misery for a month and see what that does to your hair – I know some of you completely get this because things like illness and depression are not friends to long locks…)

And oh the guilt I began to feel that here I was in bed. Again.

I didn’t stop myself feeling any of those things.

That never helps.

This is my truth. I’m getting better slowly. I’m frustrated. I had a less-than-great couple of days. It was okay to be in a bit of a hole.

It’s helpful to be able to be honest about where you are and how you feel. I had a cry on the phone to my sister. I had a cry with Ben. I had a cry with the dogs. After which I slept and slept and slept.

This morning I am doing better. In a week or so I’ll be back to doing all the things I had wanted to do. Meanwhile, I am where I am and it is what it is.

I realised a few years ago that I had bought into this crazy belief that I needed to be 100% on 100% of the time. Because of that belief I pushed myself relentlessly. No matter what my truth was. This perfection thing is all around us – on social media, in magazines and on television and in movies. It’s the expectation at schools and universities and in our workplaces. We’re not meant to have down days, sad days, sick days, ugly days.

Except that we all do.

We all do.

So my lovelies, the next time you have a down day or a sick day, the next day you feel like crawling back under the covers and not facing the day, extend yourself some compassion and know that it’s normal to not be 100% on your game every single day. Only robots and Stepford Wives do that. Everything else you see providing evidence to the contrary is a carefully curated lie. Please don’t buy into that!

A model’s self portrait in the style of the Stepford Wives by Christine McConnell

No matter what your current reality there is no point fighting it. It is what it is. Fighting against your truth is disempowering. You beat yourself up, lower your vibration and end up feeling even worse than you did before. It keeps you in the hole longer.

Accepting where you are at, honestly and without judgement, creates shift.

Don’t like where you are at? Accept that truth. Sometimes that’s all you need to do to create movement in a new direction and a lightening up of your mood and situation.

Don’t want to keep living this current version of yourself? Decide to change it. That’s not fighting it, that’s empowering yourself to move in a different direction. Wanting to change and then deciding to change still honours where you currently are and that’s so important for self-love and self-acceptance. Affirm to yourself I am where I am but I can change.

No matter our current situation and how difficult things are we still have choices. We change emotionally, intellectually, spiritually or physically. That knowledge can be a life-raft, and it can open doors to new possibilities.

Self-acceptance is, in itself, a powerful force for change and for creating flow.

Sending you love and hugs, and holding you in my meditations, Nicole  xx

Are You Listening To Your Inner Niggles?

“Become a good noticer. Pay attention to the feelings, hunches, and intuitions that flood your life each day. If you do, you will see that premonitions are not rare, but a natural part of our lives.”
Larry Dossey

This is a week for standing up for yourself, for speaking your truth, for seeking fairness and justice for yourself.

So, this week I’m asking you to pay attention to your niggles.

You know, niggles. Those funny little feelings where something doesn’t sit right with you. Maybe it’s the way your partner talks to their mother, or about their previous girlfriend. Maybe it’s the way your boss puts you down and then laughs it off or praises you so that you’re unsure if you’re overreacting. Maybe it’s the way you think your friend is lying to you because their stories so often contradict each other. Or you haven’t heard back from someone who seemed so keen to catch up. Or something isn’t adding up about a situation or relationship and it is bothering you, even though you can talk yourself out of those feelings.

Niggles.

Niggles are our intuition raising a red flag for us. They show us where to be more aware, where to tread carefully, where to pay better attention.

This week already I’ve had a flood of emails to my inbox from people who are deep into relationships or situations that gave them plenty of niggles, but where they ignored them. Now things are really going wrong. Or they’re being treated less and less well. But there are high stakes now. Marriages, business partnerships, money involved, or children. Nothing has really changed from those first niggles, except that the person can finally name the issues that the niggles were warning them about.

Niggles exist to show you where a situation is in misalignment with your values, wellbeing and highest good.

If you’ve ignored those niggles up to now it’s not too late. This week you’re empowered to act in support of yourself.

If you have niggles tune in. Pay attention. Maybe it’s time to step back, reassess, get help or move in a new direction.

Life is too short to settle for second best.

Holding space for you to be all that you came here to be, Nicole ❤ xx

How to do a walking meditation

“When you look at the sun during your walking meditation, the mindfulness of the body helps you to see that the sun is in you; without the sun there is no life at all and suddenly you get in touch with the sun in a different way.”
~ Thich Nhat Hanh

Do you have trouble trying to meditate? There is a powerful meditation practice you could try that involves movement. It’s one of my favourites – walking meditation.

Go outdoors. Stand still and have an awareness of your body.  If you like, clasp your hands in front of or behind your body. Lift your right foot, noticing the weight of your leg and how your balance adjusts. Think to yourself ‘right’ as your foot touches the ground.  As your left leg lifts up notice the change in balance.  Feel the movement as your foot leaves the ground and as it reconnects with the earth.  Think ‘left’.  As you become more advanced you may wish to choose other words such as ‘peace’ and ‘love’ or ‘wellness’ and ‘abundance’.

Walk slowly and mindfully for ten minutes, being aware of each deliberate step, and of the world around you. Be aware of the ground beneath your feet. Be aware of the changes in your body’s balance and of how you feel.  To finish the meditation stop, stand still and take a minute or two in that place, gently breathing and being aware of your body in stillness.

Moving meditation will also help you to be calmer and more attentive in seated meditation.  Enjoy!

Here’s a great example of a walking meditation:
