February Full Moon Eclipse Tonight – Plus a Colouring Mandala for You!

Tonight (Friday 10th through to Saturday 11th of February) is a full moon. It is also a lunar eclipse. And the heavens are host to a comet rocketing past us as it travels through the night sky.

Can you feel the energies this trio bring? This week you may have found yourself restless, anxious or unable to sleep. Old emotions of fear and doubt and not-good-enough may have raised their ugly heads.

You may have felt churned. You may have over-reacted. You may not have been quite yourself. You may have felt emotionally bruised and more than a little battered.

It’s okay. This lunar energy is strong!

Everything’s being stirred up. What’s no longer needed and what is ready to be healed or finally seen and understood is being brought to the surface.

Just behind all that fear and anxiousness is possibility. It’s also a great time for clear insights, inspiration and breakthroughs. It heralds a shift towards understanding and connection.

Some of you who’ve already done a lot of self-work will have felt excited this week. You’ll feel like finally you are back on track and able to gain some momentum for your projects, ideas and dreams. That’s wonderful. Thank you, Full Moon!

Remember to put your crystals out in the moonlight tonight for a cleanse and recharge. And if you can, take time to sit under the night sky and simply breathe. Breathe and let go of all of that old stuck emotion. Cry if you must. Howl at the moon.

Surrender.

Then come back to calm and breathe in hope. Breathe in possibility. Open yourself to change.

It’s a great time for journalling and self-reflection. I’ve also included a simple Meditation Mandala for you below. You can download and colour it as an act of mindfullness, healing and manifestation – today or in the next few days while the energies of the moon, comet and eclipse have influence.

Colouring Mandala and Crystal Grid

This mandala was created as one of the activities for our Year of ME Planner community. (It’s not too late to join. You can find out more here: Year of Me Planner Options)

You can download your Meditation Mandala here: February Mandala 2017

Print out the Mandala and consider what support you are seeking from the Universe this month around the energies of believing in yourself and your dreams, and making big changes in your life.  Where are you stuck? What’s not working, or where would you like additional support? What do you need help with?

Write your request in the space provided on the Mandala sheet.

Now colour your Mandala. Choose the colours that feel intuitively right for you. As you colour your Mandala, repeat the February affirmation which is written at the top of the Mandala. Feel the energy and truth of that affirmation for you. While you colour your Mandala think about this thing that you want support for, and how it would feel for this thing to be working well in your life.

Allow yourself to fill with love and positive emotion, or a sense of peace.

Emotion may come up for you as you colour. Allow it to surface and don’t judge it. Know that it is simply releasing and clearing for you.

When your Mandala is finished, place a crystal at the centre of the Mandala to make a simple grid. You may also make a pattern of additional stones, flowers, leaves or other small objects on top of your coloured Mandala if you wish. Go with what feels intuitively right for you.

Run white light from your hands down into the crystal and then out into the Mandala to activate it. Repeat your affirmation and your request to the Universe out loud as you do this. Finish by saying ‘And it is so’.

Leave your Mandala up for a minimum of 24 hours with the stone in place. Of course you’re welcome to leave it longer if you desire.

To deconstruct the Mandala remove the stone and offer a simple and heartfelt prayer of thanks.

PS – This month I also encourage you to download and colour a second mandala for the world as it goes through upheaval and change. Choose whatever stones feel right for the earth or the situation you want to support and work with. Know that your positive energy and intention as you create this world grid really helps to anchor love and light.

Tomorrow night is the new moon.

The new moon is always a powerful energy for creating positive change and manifesting your heart’s desires. It is also a great time for connecting into your own intuitive wisdom, and deepening spiritual connection.

Tomorrow night, it is also something more.

It is an opportunity to connect into the energy of your highest potential for the years ahead. It is an opportunity to leave the past behind and to truly embrace a positive future.

I will be holding space in my personal meditation tomorrow night for you as I sit with our Ancestors and Songlines crystal grid here at my farm. I will be intending that you move into your heart-space, and reconnect with your own Soul Wisdom. I will be intending that your feet find their way in 2017. That your path becomes clear. That you can more easily be yourself. That you know and express yourself truly. That you live life to your highest potential. That you are loved for who you are. That you come to know how much you are loved.

  • choose a crystal or stone to hold in meditation

Should You Ride In On Your White Horse And Save Them?

Recently I received a message on facebook that I thought it was worth answering here on my blog.

Random Question – What does one do with the compulsive need to ‘save’ people or fix things?? You know, when you can feel and sense everything bubbling away. The stuff they are not even willing to acknowledge. I get very burdened by that and have this burning desire to get it up and out and make it right, it’s not always good…..

 

I love this question.

Can you see any aspect of yourself in this? I know that this describes the way that I once lived in the world, and the way I used to feel about so many things.

It’s an especially big question for lightworkers, healers of all persuasions, coaches and counsellors, and people who are waking up to their own intuitive and spiritual nature.

Often, we can see a better way to do things. A fast way to fix something. A clear solution to someone else’s situation or problem.

As the author of this question wrote, sometimes you can see ‘stuff they are not even willing to acknowledge’.

So, what should you do?

Firstly, sit quietly in your own good self and ask yourself What’s this really all about?

Is it possible that you are simply very sensitive or perhaps even over-sensitive to emotions, energy and disharmony right now? Is the choice or behaviour or situation of another person causing you irritation, frustration, anger or great sadness? If that’s true for you then it’s best for you to go spend time in nature, to be alone for a while, to find some quiet time and space where you can rest, ground and unwind a little. When we get this sensitive we often react in ways that aren’t helpful for ourselves or others. Acknowledge your own emotional state. Look after your own needs first.

Perhaps your great big heart is simply stretched to bursting with worry and compassion. You hate to see this person suffering, or making bad choices, or causing suffering to others. In this case the best place to start might by using meditation or prayer for this person, and visualising them as transcending or overcoming their current circumstances in ways that allow them to be happier and healthier. Practice kindness and understanding. Know that this is their journey, and their learning. It’s hard to learn a lesson or to build skills and confidence in solving your own problems if someone else sorts it all out for you. Can you wait until they ask for help? Can you offer help, but be okay if they don’t take you up on that offer? Do all that you can not to sit in judgement, or to say things that will make the person feel worse about themselves.

Is it even your place to interfere? Of course, I’m not talking about walking past a person bleeding out in the street or whose house is burning down.  Rendering help to someone genuinely in need is always a good thing to do. But that is about being of service. That is about the Universe working through you in coming to the aid of another in a time of trial or crisis. It’s not about fixing what is broken in someone.

And lastly, do you find yourself focusing on everyone else’s pain points because you are avoiding something in yourself or your own life?

 

Some of my most powerful lessons have come through my own bad choices, wrong actions, overt need to please others, or plain carelessness. If I had been ‘saved’ or ‘fixed’ in any of those situations I would never have grown wiser or moved to the space beyond that place of stuckness or pain. Ultimately it was me who needed to see and own the problem, and to actively work on seeking a better outcome so that I could evolve to a space of greater wholeness.

As a lightworker you can be of service by offering to help, by supporting with kindness, by being a compassionate listener, or simply by allowing things to unfold and sitting in a space of love and non-judgement. By offering guidance when asked for advice. Life is messy and hard for all of us at times. Each of us are capable of acts of great ignorance, ego and stupidity. Hardship often happens when we least expect it.

All of us deserve love anyway.

This compulsive need to save or to fix? Check that it’s not coming from a deep insecurity and a need to earn love from others.

Check that it’s not coming from a place of standing on higher moral ground.

Check that it’s not coming from the instability that is always created when we step into the beginnings of psychic awakening and become aware of emotions, energies and thoughts in other people – in ways that can often be confusing for us, or make us feel as though ‘we have to do something!’

I have come to see that life is far more complex and multi-layered with meaning that I can rightly understand. Things that make no sense at all in the moment reveal wisdoms to us only years later.

We are all wounded. We are all vulnerable. We are all, at times, oblivious. And that’s okay.

When we view the world with loving eyes, and come from a place of kindness that seeks to understand and accept, we also begin to create a deeper sense of harmony and inner peace within ourselves. We lift ourselves up. We smooth our own ride through life.

I hope that helps.

I honour the place in you that so loves others, and that wants to alleviate their suffering and ease their journey.

Dear Friends,

I just wanted to reach out to you, in case any of you feel lost or melancholy or blue right now. If you feel you have been drained of enthusiasm or inspiration, when not long ago you were on fire with clarity and direction. If you are suddenly filled with doubt or despair. Or if you are loving or caring for someone who is in that space.

Please know that it will pass.

Please know that right now the Universe is contriving to create massive emotional and energetic shift. Much of what you are feeling is old emotion or thoughts that you pushed to the back of your mind and didn’t process or ‘feel’ at the time, and which are rippling through you now as they release and leave your vibrationary field.

Many transitory emotions will be passing through your headspace or heartspace. Old regrets or fears or shames. Things you haven’t thought about in years. Some of that may be so overwhelming to your conscious mind that you’ll feel either exhausted or numb for no apparent reason at all.

You may also feel like a bit of a train wreck and unhappy in your daily life without being able to point to specifics. You may end up fighting with loved ones over the stupidest of things, as you fall back into old patterns that don’t serve the person you’ve become.

All of this will pass. Your enthusiasm and energy will return. Clarity and direction will begin to emerge.

What’s needed right now is for you to be gentle with yourself and those around you. If you are in a negative headspace avoid making big decisions or working on projects that require attention and care. You are better off resting, or working on less important things. Wait until you are back in flow again before you tackle anything that is dear to you.

Don’t give up on your dreams, or put yourself into a position where you may self-sabotage.

You’ll feel a positive shift in the energies again by the end of this weekend. I know that for some of you this has been an intensely uncomfortable time. Take heart. Once you’ve retraced and released this old emotion you’ll be done with it. Remind yourself that you’re just going through a spring-cleaning of the soul.

Be The Light Today

It would be so easy, on days like these, to succumb to thoughts of fear and darkness. For words of pain and anger to colour our thoughts.

But there is enough hate in the world.

There is enough pain and intolerance and ugliness.

Today I’m asking you to deliberately choose to live the opposite of that.

Live from love today. Speak with kindness and compassion. Radiate light and calm and love to all around you, and back to yourself.

Be goodness in the world.

Be love.

That is what is needed most right now, and you can play your part to be that energy that turns the tide, that lifts us up, that makes us remember and reconnect to all that is good about humanity.

Love reassures. Love reconnects. Love comforts. Love heals.

Be love today.

Be love every day.

An Early Late Post

It’s nearly 4am.

I’m about to do my regular healing meditation, and to send energy, love and light to you all.

After which I’m going back to bed.

Twice this week I’ve found myself up in the middle of the night, dealing with a life-or-death crisis.

Have you noticed? So many souls are leaving the planet right now. So many souls are struggling with the decision to stay or go. And so many souls are eager to come through and be birthed.

Crazy times.

I’ve been up working since 11.30pm, and now it is nearly 4am and I am weary and more than ready for sleep. This isn’t paid work. It’s about being here for someone who needs a loving voice at the end of a line during one of life’s challenges. It’s about being a voice for souls who are unable to speak for themselves, so that I can communicate their needs.

In my wind-down between work and meditation I’ve also been able to write my blog, and catch up with a student on the other side of the world. The wonders of technology!

I’ll share my latest adventure with you tomorrow, after I’ve had a little shut-eye. But now, meditation. Today my focus will be on helping you to be centred in clarity, calm and peace, so that you are able to make sound, intuitive choices that support and prosper you.

Dear Discouraged Lightworker, Failed Healer, Broken Creative… A Letter of Encouragement

The year is young, and still fresh with the scent of hope and possibility.

Despite this, or perhaps because of it, my inbox is filled with the sad, agonised and even defeated messages of those who have laboured long towards their dream and who have never been able to achieve it. These are dreams they also can’t walk away from. Inside them is a vision – an idea that calls them to action. An idea that has transfixed them, and which holds some kind of mystical spell over them so that they are unable to give up the vision and move to something else. (Please note – I am talking about callings here, not love affairs!)

Writers who write one genre to mixed success while holding a story in their heart that they are sure is unmarketable and that could destroy an otherwise adequate career. Healers who have been beset by all manner of health problems themselves. Coaches and counsellors whose own lives have been messy or impossible. Lightworkers whose relationships or finances or personal circumstances are in tatters. People needing to work day jobs which suck the life out of them and leave them with no time or energy to go work on their own project.

All of which has prevented them from realising the dream in their heart.

People working with my Year of ME Planner who are trying to define their One Big Thing for the year (or perhaps for their lives) have contacted me, not because they can’t work out what the One Big Thing might be, but because they are fearful that they won’t be able to deliver on the promise. They’ve already decided long ago. The vision is there. But so is this history of failure, limited success, or inability to even properly start.

So I wanted to write you this letter of encouragement, and ask you, please, not to give up!

I have been where you are. Yes, I have. And I speak from my heart to yours, hoping that you will truly hear me.
You see, you’ve been let down so many times. You’ve had this vision. You’ve had this One Big Thing dream for so long. And at the same time you haven’t done it. Life got in the way. Illness got in the way. Lack of money and support and being in survival mode with no energy to devote to your dream got in the way. Body not working got in the way. Brain not working got in the way. People who really needed you, or who took everything you had got in the way. Yet the dream remained.

Once, in your long-ago lives, you were someone who GOT THINGS DONE. Who overcame obstacles and met deadlines and was reliable. In that life it seemed entirely feasible that you could easily and passionately get your One Big Thing done. Then little by little it all fell away, and on your good days you’d make plans, only to have them dashed as the next day came and you couldn’t keep up with the things you’d organised for yourself. Feelings of failure crept in. You began not to trust yourself. You began not to trust the Universe.

Why would you be given a dream that burned such a blaze inside you, only to be cruelly thwarted and left unfulfilled, with the dream out in front of you as a reminder of all of that failure. Right?
I get it. I’ve lived it.

And I have a new paradigm for you. But it requires a BIG shift of your current thinking.

You see, what if it’s actually not a failure? What if it’s about timing?

What if it’s about truly KNOWING struggle, so that you can speak to that energy in others (as I am speaking to that energy within you right now, having also lived it).

What if the world wasn’t ready for what you had to share if you’d delivered any earlier?

What if it just wasn’t your time before now?

So many people like you and me have been held back in our progress because it wasn’t our time to peak in the old energies. We’re part of the pointy end of change and healing and expansion in this new post-2012 energetic era.

What if it all happened because your soul and the Universe contrived all manner of stuff to get you into a space of right timing for the sharing of your talents and gifts?

Let go of blame and shame and concepts of loss and punishment. That’s so old energy – and you, my lovelies, are here to work with the NEW. You’re healing. Things are changing. Now is your time. Start small. Expect delays as you regroup and regather and open to new ideas and energies. Open your arms to it all and trust. Know that you will still make forward progress. Know that your One BIg Thing may come to look completely different to the picture you have held in your head. Know that this is okay. You are here in response to the new energies, and these new energies are co-creative. Get it? You don’t have to do it all on your own. You don’t need to be in struggle and isolation anymore, and it WILL get easier. It is already getting easier.

Make peace with yourself and the Universe and your One Big Thing. It’s not too late. In fact, the timing is just right. Take a nap. Find some gratitude for good stuff to level up your vibration. Start bravely or not bravely in one little corner and trust in miracles and magic and synchronicity and amazing happenings BECAUSE THAT IS THE WORLD WE LIVE IN NOW. Not the echoes of the old world that are bouncing around in your head, causing you so much pain.

You’ve got this. We’re here for you. We love you. You were born for this. Onwards, one limpy little step, nap and cup of tea at a time. Soon enough you’ll be flying. I know it!
