Your Wake-Up Call Is Here! – Monday Oracle 24 July 2017

“What is joy without sorrow? What is success without failure? What is a win without a loss? What is health without illness? You have to experience each if you are to appreciate the other. There is always going to be suffering. It’s how you look at your suffering, how you deal with it, that will define you.”
~ Mark Twain

Hello, Lovelies,

A we move deeper into the energies of July we’re able to access some light-bulb moments and real clarity about what matters to us, and for our future direction.

Here’s the oracle card I have chosen this Monday, and my take on the energetic outlook for the week ahead. I use any oracle or tarot cards shown as a prompt for channelled messages and my own intuitive wisdom, so my take is sometimes quite different to the meaning found in a book. ‘Balance’ is from the Chakra Wisdom Oracle Deck by Tori Hartman.

If you read my forecast for July, you’ll remember that July helps us to see our place within the bigger scheme of things. It supports love, connection and community and warrants some quiet time this month with loved ones.

Let’s look at the gifts Balance brings us this week.

Balance reminds us that we can’t make everyone happy and that we actually can’t have, do and be EVERYTHING on our list. Even more importantly, we can’t keep making everyone else happy at our own expense.

Time is precious and limited. Balance asks us to think carefully about how we spend our time and resources.

This is also a big wake-up call week. If we’ve been neglecting our health, our relationship, our finances, our jobs or businesses, our special project, our promises to ourselves or others – this week the Universe brings these things into clear view. We just can’t keep ignoring things that could potentially have a big positive or negative impact in our lives.

If your lack of awareness runs deep, the Universe will clearly show you where you need to be putting your attention.

Don’t worry though. Help is at hand. It’s a week of intuitive clarity and guided action. Trust that you have the power this week to make decisions and chart a path of action that will begin to turn things in your favour.

Whatever you do, don’t put your head back in the sand again. Be honest. Tune in. Take action.

You’ll be so glad that you did. The choices you make and the actions you take this week will lead to healing, momentum, solutions and progress.

Supportive crystals this week?

Rose Quartz helps us to be open to love and support in all forms and to be able to RECEIVE (Keep one in your pocket for all of July if you struggle to ask for or receive help). Blue Obsidian gives us mental clarity and self-awareness, strengthening our ability to communicate and connect. Yellow Turquoise supports us finding a clear path forward, and to make the big decisions that can finally bring lasting change. Green Aventurine is the perfect mood elevation stone, helping to shift anxiety and worry, and to replace it with calm and a sense of emotional safety.

Helpful essential oils?

Young Living’s Believe essential oil blend, or a combination (or singly!) of any of Lavender, Spruce, Ylang Ylang and Orange. Believe essential oil blend is uplifting and promotes confidence, spiritual connection, clarity and a belief that we can change. It also helps us to let go of fear, doubt and old emotional pain and hurt.  I often use this oil when I am writing or journalling, or working with cards for myself. It’s my oil of choice in my diffuser again this week. You can find all the oils here.

Holding you, as always, in my thoughts, prayers and meditations, and intending for a you a life of abundance and joy, where you are no longer limited by your doubts.

All my love,

Nicole ❤ xx

Reclaiming Your Dreams – Monday Oracle 17 July 2017

“The only person who can pull me down is myself, and I’m not going to let myself pull me down anymore.”
~  C. JoyBell C.

Hello, Lovelies,

I’m just loving the energies of July. It’s such a supportive month! Here’s the oracle card I have chosen this Monday, and my take on the energetic outlook for the week ahead. I use any oracle or tarot cards shown as a prompt for channelled messages and my own intuitive wisdom, so my take is sometimes quite different to the meaning found in a book. ‘Self-worth’ is from the Chakra Wisdom Oracle Deck by Tori Hartman.

If you read my forecast for July, you’ll remember that July helps us to see our place within the bigger scheme of things. It supports love, connection and community and warrants some quiet time this month with loved ones.

Let’s look at the gifts Self-Worth brings us this week.

Have you ever wanted something but were afraid to try, afraid to fail, or someone talked you out of it?

There are some big messages in this Self-Worth card.

This is a week for reclaiming our joy, and reconnecting with our dreams. (Did you notice the Snow Angel in the bottom right corner of this card? 🙂 )

Why do we need to reclaim them? Why do we need to reconnect?

Because at some stage in the past we were told that we couldn’t have the dream. Or we couldn’t do the thing that gave us joy.

Or that it was better to make someone else happy ahead of ourselves.

Maybe it was us telling ourself no. Or perhaps it was a parent, a partner, an overbearing sibling, a disenchanted teacher, a jealous friend, a well-meaning but misguided mentor.

We internalised a message of low self-worth. We weren’t young enough, clever enough, pretty enough, talented enough, good enough, worthy enough. We were too dramatic, too ambitious, too deluded, too much of a dreamer. We didn’t have the money, the time, the support. Our dream or idea was crazy, dumb, not that good, done already. We needed to grow up. To act our age. To stop being embarrassing. Or selfish. Quite frankly, we needed to put that dream or that quiet love down and embrace reality. We were told to move on.

Luckily our hearts know what they want.

Our hearts never stop knowing.

Despite all the negativity and well-meaning but incorrect advice that is heaped upon them, despite our own negative self-talk or the put-downs of others, our hearts hold onto their own truth.

Inside, our dreams continue to burn. Ideas flicker, waiting for a breeze to fan the flame. Our long-neglected interests and hobbies need only a ray of sunshine and a little fresh air to spring back into being.

This week those dreams and longings begin to come back into focus. A little more of ourselves is restored. Our courage grows.

When we give ourselves permission to follow our dreams and do what makes us happy all kinds of magic begins to flow in our lives.

It’s a fabulous week for becoming much more fully ourselves. And happily so!

Supportive crystals this week?

Rose Quartz helps us to be open to love and support in all forms and to be able to RECEIVE (Load up your pockets, my loves!). Yellow Turquoise opens our hearts and helps us to heal from old hurts, enabling us to love again – especially ourselves and our dreams. Blue Obsidian gives us mental clarity and self-awareness, strengthening our ability to communicate and connect. Amazonite provides us with courage and a sense of optimism and adventure.

Helpful essential oils?

Young Living’s Believe essential oil blend, or a combination (or singly!) of any of Cardamon, Spruce, Ylang Ylang and Orange. Believe essential oil blend is uplifting and promotes confidence, spiritual connection, clarity and a belief that we can change. It also helps us to let go of fear, doubt and old emotional pain and hurt.  I often use this oil when I am writing or journalling, or working with cards for myself. (Writing is my dream and personal love, and Believe is my ‘magical sauce’ for words on the page!) It’s my oil of choice in my diffuser again this week. You can find all the oils here.

Holding you, as always, in my thoughts, prayers and meditations, and intending for a you a life of abundance and joy, where you are no longer limited by your doubts.

All my love,

The Key To Finding Yourself – Monday Oracle 3 July 2017

“Life is painful and messed up. It gets complicated at the worst of times, and sometimes you have no idea where to go or what to do. Lots of times people just let themselves get lost, dropping into a wide open, huge abyss. But that’s why we have to keep trying. We have to push through all that hurts us, work past all our memories that are haunting us. Sometimes the things that hurt us are the things that make us strongest. A life without experience, in my opinion, is no life at all. And that’s why I tell everyone that, even when it hurts, never stop yourself from living.”
~  Alysha Speer

Hello, Lovelies!

Here’s the oracle card I have chosen this Monday, and my take on the energetic outlook for the week ahead. I use any oracle or tarot cards shown as a prompt for channelled messages and my own intuitive wisdom, so my take is sometimes quite different to the meaning found in a book. ‘Recovery’ is from the Chakra Wisdom Oracle Deck by Tori Hartman.

If you read my forecast for July, you’ll remember that July helps us to see our place within the bigger scheme of things. It supports love, connection and community and warrants some quiet time this month with loved ones.

Let’s look at the gifts Recovery brings us this week.

Have you ever felt like you have lost an important part of you? Or lost your direction? Your sense of self?

This week a kind of magic happens. Parts of us begin to return. It might be a song on the radio that prompts us to remember who we were when we first heard that tune. ‘That’s right,’ we’ll say. ‘I used to love this song. And dancing. And the colour red. I remember…’ And just like that we’ll go buy a red lipstick, dig out our dancing shoes and say ‘Screw you!’ to the relationship that has kept us small so long. ‘See ya!’ we yell as the door bangs shut behind us and we run forward to a new life.

It might not be that dramatic. But on the other hand, it may well be a game-changing week.

So many messages of support, change and clarity will find their way to us this week. So much perspective. So much forgiveness of self. So much acceptance of what is. So much understanding that it’s not too late. That we can still live a life that has meaning and beauty for us.

What a relief! It’s like we’ve just lived through a giant upgrade and now the Universe is handing us the keys to this enhanced and expanded self.

We begin to see the wisdom we have gained through our mistakes and our suffering. We begin to understand that we are the sum of all of these things that we have lived and that help define us. There is an entire dress-up box of experiences, preferences and talents at our disposal from the many moments that make up our life to this point in time. We can choose any or all of them. We are made beautiful by every single thing we have lived through.

This is a week to begin to own the magnificent truth of who you are, and to begin to get clear about what comes next for you.

Supportive crystals this week?

Yellow Turquoise opens our hearts and helps us to heal from old hurts, enabling us to love again – especially ourselves. Blue Obsidian gives us mental clarity and self-awareness, strengthening our ability to communicate and connect. Black Tourmaline is great for helping us to see where we need to set boundaries. Amazonite provides us with courage and a sense of optimism and adventure.

Helpful essential oils?

Young Living’s Awaken essential oil blend, or a combination (or singly!) of any of Geranium, Frankincense, Lavender and Orange. Awaken essential oil blend smells sweet and woody and can be worn as a perfume (Place on wrists, over heart and on back of neck) or used in a diffuser. A few drops in the bath are heavenly too. It’s a great oil to get you out of your head and into your heartspace. It promotes spiritual connection and intuition and is deeply calming. I love this oil, and it’s my oil of choice in my diffuser this week. You can find all the oils here.

Holding you, as always, in my thoughts, prayers and meditations, and intending for a you a life of abundance and joy, where you are no longer limited by your doubts.

All my love,

Nicole ❤ xx

Concluding Our Oracle Card Challenge

“The outside world can only trigger or block your experience of your true nature. Each time something beautiful takes your breath away, that’s you experiencing yourself. Each time you fall in love with someone, that’s you experiencing yourself. Each time a child’s smile gives you unspeakable joy, that’s you experiencing yourself. Your true nature is beautiful. Life is the art of rediscovering yourself, again and again, in different forms, celebrating, rejoicing, welcoming. You are beautiful. You are life itself.”
~ Vironika Tugaleva

Thank you so much for being part of this Oracle Card Challenge.

Now that you are familiar with using cards to help you to gain insights and direction, you can apply the methods I have shown you to work with any situation in your life where you require insight or inspiration.

I recommend that you use cards as a tool for clarification, rather than as an instrument of prediction. You are the force of power in your life. Within you lies the capability to steer yourself true and to make decisions and choices that are well aligned with a positive future. That future is shaped by your intentions and actions. Don’t give your power away by using cards to predict your own future, or to keep asking a question over and over until you find an answer that pleases you. All successful change comes through deliberate thought, intention and action. No matter your current circumstances, you have these things at your disposal to help bring about changes in your life.

I also recommend that you go back through your journal now, and explore each area you wrote about in more depth. Create an action plan for yourself. Decide on some priorities. Implement your plan, and watch what magic you can create in your life.

Love and hugs, Nicole <3 xx

Day 3 – Oracle Card Challenge

“What we call our destiny is truly our character and that character can be altered. The knowledge that we are responsible for our actions and attitudes does not need to be discouraging, because it also means that we are free to change this destiny. One is not in bondage to the past, which has shaped our feelings, to race, inheritance, background. All this can be altered if we have the courage to examine how it formed us. We can alter the chemistry provided we have the courage to dissect the elements.”
~ Anaïs Nin

My Relationship with Myself

Our relationship with ourselves is the singular most important human relationship in our lives. How well do you know yourself? Like yourself? Trust yourself? Respect yourself?

The more we improve our relationship with ourselves, the better and more honest our other relationships will become. Remember, that all we are doing is getting a position on where we are right now. Where we are can change once we put awareness and insight to our current situation. Let’s explore this further.

Here’s what you need to do.

Take your crystal, and complete this short guided meditation:

Hold your stone in your cupped hands, close your eyes, and slow your breathing. Bring white light into your body until you feel peaceful and calm. Then bring white light into the crystal too. Allow yourself to connect to the stone. You may feel it tingle, or visualise a colour in your mind’s eye. When you are ready, open your eyes. Keep your stone near you, and hold it when you write.

Now shuffle your cards, while silently asking the question to yourself ‘What is my true relationship with myself?’

When you have shuffled the cards and they feel ‘done’, select one card using the method that feels right for you.

Place the card face up in front of you.

Clear your mind by closing your eyes and taking one deep breath in and then out. Open your eyes again. Take a minute and look at the picture.

What stands out for you today? Is it an image or a colour? Is it a number or a word? What are your first impressions? What thoughts come into your mind?

Write these down in your journal.

Now let’s go a little deeper. What feelings or words does this card evoke in your mind when you think about the card and its images in relation to the question ‘What is my true relationship with myself?’ Take five minutes and write some stream-of-consciousness thoughts down. Don’t censor or judge them. Trust the process. Draw a second card for clarification if you need to.

Finally, read back over what you have written.

This may have been a difficult task for you today. If you feel emotional, sit in meditation again at the end of your session and run white light through your body and then bring pink light into your heart.

Know that you can come back and keep working on this question over time. Congratulations! This is a big, brave step.

Lots of love, Nicole xx

What’s up with this crazy End-of-2014 energy?

“If you lack the humility to go back and tie up the loose ends in your past, then be prepared to forever be haunted by her ghosts, all of whom will come into your present and your future – staining everything and everyone with their leftover emotional and mental garbage.”
~ C. JoyBell C.

“There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and will be lost.” ~ Martha Graham

Have you been feeling it?

There’s been some crazy, messy and wild energy around these last few months. And of course, it has been exacerbated by the planetary energies and eclipses we’ve experienced lately.

If you are a sensitive soul, you’ll know exactly what I mean!

2015 is fast approaching, and right now we have a perfect opportunity to bring patterns and issues in our life to a place of completion. From now until early February 2015 is a terrific time for endings, closing doors, finishing things up and stepping away from relationships, habits, beliefs and environments that no longer support us.

Tidy up those loose ends. Make the small and the big decisions. Know that sometimes completion is about cleaning up the mess, simplifying, downsizing or choosing to walk away before the job is done, knowing you don’t need what you leave behind.

It’s also a powerful time for karmic clearing of ancestral patterns. We can choose to break family patterns of thinking and behaving, and choose new ways of being in the world.

Don’t be surprised if things you thought you’d dealt with suddenly come back one more time. If you’re given seductive choices that would lead you back down roads you said you’d never walk again.

Be strong now. Get clear. There is so much power available to you in this moment – so much energy that supports positive change.

There’s also a quickening right now. It’s a fore-taste of what’s to come next year.

Expect that some days may feel insanely busy and pressured. That you might feel called to make choices or decisions when you don’t feel there’s enough time to really think about things and to reflect.

It’s likely that you’ll feel like things are moving too fast, that there’s not enough time, that you’re walking through a strange land with none of the usual guideposts….

That’s okay. If you’ve done the work, if you’re ready (and most likely you’ll still be in a place of doubt about that, my dears) that river you’ve jumped into is going to rocket you along. The Universe knows. Your heart knows. Your soul knows. It might just take your brain a little time to catch up.

We need you in this changing world. We need your passion, your commitment, your individuality, your unique perspective.

We need you to be YOU. To walk your path, to share your gifts – whatever those may be. Not sure what you have to offer? Don’t worry. Just pay attention. In this place of quickening, ideas and inspiration will come. It might not be what you’d expected.

Good. Say yes anyway.

Right now a sense of humour, a spirit of adventure, kindness towards self and others, an open heart and an open mind will serve you well. 2015 sees an expansion – an opening out of energies, the birth of so many possibilities. It’s almost here. Can’t you feel it?

Onwards, my lovelies!

Journal Challenge Week 4 – Nuggets of Gold

“All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.”
~ J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring

Hello Lovelies, and welcome to the fourth and final week of our Journal Challenge!

If you’ve only just found us now, it’s not too late to go back and start at the beginning. That’s the beauty of journalling. It waits for us, and works with our own time-frames.

This week we’re putting on our investigative hats, and we’re digging deep into what we’ve already written. There will be gold in those words, for sure!

You’ll need a couple of extra tools this week:

1. Some coloured pens

2. A few highlighters

Before we start our final week, let’s have a quick recap of the last three weeks of journalling:

1. In Week One we called on our own insights to discover where we have held ourselves back, what worries us, and what we might do to bring more balance, healing, sustainability and joy into our lives.

and

2. In Week Two we bravely called upon the love, wisdom and strength of our Ancestors as we tackled our patterns of resentment, the excuses we use that prevent us growing and moving forward, the areas and relationships where we hold resentment, and the things in our life over which we feel shame. We then looked at how to turn all of this hurt into wisdom, helping us to reclaim the aspects of ourselves that we had shunned.

and

3. In Week Three we looked at endings and beginnings. Places where we could complete, finalise or sever. Places where we could launch, start and create new energy and momentum. We began to embrace possibility.

This week it’s all about refining our ideas, reviewing our material and coming up with a map to our riches.

Choosing a Crystal

You may wish to choose a crystal to work with for our final week. It is entirely optional, and you’d be fine without one too – but for my fellow rock lovers, read on…

You can hold this crystal as you write or meditate, place it under your pillow or beside your bed while you sleep, or carry it in your pocket to help you stay focused.

You could choose your stone based on what most appeals to you. That’s a very valid approach. But if you need a little direction, good crystals to work with this week include:

  • Amethyst
  • Fluorite
  • Any of the Calcites
  • Rose Quartz
  • Pyrite
  • Tourmaline
  • Mookaite
  • Malachite
  • Clear Quartz, with or without inclusions
  • Smoky Quartz

This week I’ve chosen a natural Amethyst point – I love the gentle energy of this one, and when I gaze into it I am reminded of clouds of jellyfish upon a purple ocean!

If you’re working with a crystal too why not tell us about it by leaving a comment below or over at our facebook page.

Week Four Meditation:

This week’s simple meditation is about reassuring ourselves. We don’t do that enough, and it’s an important part of nurturing and caring for ourselves.

The Healing Breath Meditation

You can do this meditation anywhere, anytime. That is the beauty of it.

Sit or lie quietly somewhere. You can close your eyes or leave them open – whatever feels right for you in the moment.

Breathe in. As you breathe in affirm to yourself, “I am Love.”

Breathe out. As you breathe out affirm to yourself, “I am Enough.”

It may bring up strong emotions for you, when you first do this meditation. That’s okay. Gently stick with it.

You only need a minute or two, but if it feels right you can happily sit in this meditation for longer.

When you feel calm and stronger in yourself, smile, and remind yourself that you are okay.

Now you’re ready to write!

Journal Activity:

Take your journal and some highlighters and sit down with a tasty beverage. Somewhere quiet where you won’t be disturbed. If you’re using a crystal, hold it in your non-writing hand, or place it in your lap or pocket.

Start reading. Read in a way where you are allowing yourself to skim lightly over the words. When something gets your attention, mark it with a highlighter.

photo

What should you highlight? Anything that brings up strong emotion (including negative emotion), recurrent themes, or ideas or actions that begin to make you feel purposeful or alive.

It’s a little like panning for gold, searching for those valuable nuggets amid the stones and gravel.

Gathering the Threads Together

Over the next few days, or the next few weeks, return to those highlighted sections. Read over them, one by one, and then for each one allow yourself to ask the question:

What can I do about this?

Write the answer in your journal.

It can also be useful to do some word association. Find the one word, idea or image from the highlighted text that stands out for you. Place that word in a circle and then draw a few lines out from the circle. My word was ‘time’.

Now without giving this ANY thought (Don’t you DARE think!), use ‘stream of consciousness’ and immediately write connected words that you associate with time, or whatever your particular thing is, coming off each of the lines. NO THINKING – JUST WRITE!

2014-11-16 05.58.20

My words in relation to time were Slow Down, Make a list, Go off the clock, Prioritise, Sleep, Fun, Delegate, Stop Worrying, Holiday. I actually found that pretty useful, and it immediately pulled me out of stress and back into flow and possibility.

Because of this, I’m seriously considering taking a chunk of time in the new year just to write, create, rest and heal.

We have so much wisdom within us, if only we ever think to ask 🙂

Let your journalling evolve into a space of mapping possible solutions, answers, outcomes or adventures.

Trust the process. Be an explorer in your own life, your own mind, your own subconscious.

Use this new clarity to begin to put a plan together for the year ahead. This way you’ll begin 2015 with a clearer idea of what you want to move away from, and what you want to move towards.

It’s your life, and you’re the Captain of your own ship. It’s time to plot a course through life that works for you. Bless xx
