From Lost To Found – Monday Oracle 22 April 2024

“We must be willing to let go of the life we have planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us.”

~ Joseph Campbell

Hello, Lovelies!

This Quarter I am using The Sacred She Oracle by Ma Deva Padma for my weekly oracle readings.

Our card to guide us for the week ahead is 12. VOYAGER

2024 is a year for fresh starts, for creativity, healing and social connection. It’s a year for ambitious projects and for getting stuff done.

April is a month for giving your dreams power, for heightened intuition and messages from the Universe. It’s a time for finding your own answers and speaking your truth.

12. VOYAGER

It’s never true that we don’t know what we want.

But it is true that we can feel like we don’t know what we want.

When we’re tired, overwhelmed, stuck in a place created by our own beliefs and decisions, or the beliefs and decisions of others, when we are busy shoulding ourselves ( I should do that, I should do that…), when we have stopped actively living and giving ourselves free choice and free will, it can seem impossible that clarity of purpose can ever be ours.

The energies of this week remind us that we can reset ourselves and our direction at any time, and that there is always an opportunity to embrace something new, or something old that we discarded or were too afraid to ever take up.

For some people purpose will be a guiding star that defines all, or the majority of their lives.

For others, purpose can be seasonal, situational, or something that evolves over time. It is okay to live a purpose, and then to move to something else. That is the truth of purpose for many.

Purpose might be the self-care decision you make, the goal you set yourself, the course you sign up for, the steps you take toward your dream. It might be something small, or something so big that you can only start in one corner and hope for the best while putting one foot in front of the other.

This week stay open to the hints, signposts and synchronicities all around you that will point you towards a more satisfying life, and a purpose only you can live, only you can create, only you can deliver.

I know that maybe you’ll feel afraid. Or not good enough. But that way of thinking is old news, and so unhelpful. Embrace possibility and go from lost to found.

My Top Tip For The Week Ahead

Don’t know what you want?

Get quiet. Somewhere private.

Put one hand over your heart and one hand on your belly.
Close your eyes and breathe in and out slowly, until you feel calm.

Ask yourself, What do I want?

Let the answer come.

It might be as simple as a nap, a glass of water, a crunchy apple. But maybe it will be more. The need to leave a job or a relationship. A desire to have your own horse, or to live in the country. To play the cello or have a baby or start your own business. Maybe it will surprise you. Terrify you. Delight you.

Trust! Whether your answer is something easy to fulfil or something bigger, commit to it.

And if all you got were crickets? No answer at all? Know that you’re in survival mode and what you need most FIRST is sleep, good nutrition and a sense of safety. Ask for help. Consider speaking to a therapist or counsellor. Do what you can to make life easier and more supported.

Are you able to take a little time this week to connect in to the energies of the natural world, and let it fill your cup?

It finally feels like autumn here in our corner of the world. All of a sudden the nights are cooler, the air is crisper, and the sun has lost some of its bite. After days of sunshine we’ve had a rainy weekend, and suddenly my thoughts are turning to soups and slow foods, hearty morning porridges, and warming mugs of tea.

Yesterday I dragged out an extra blanket for the bed, and found winter pyjamas, warm long pants, and my favourite slippers for wearing at my desk now the floor feels cold. Later today I’ll hunt out the fingerless gloves I bought myself in New Zealand earlier this year, so that my early morning writing sessions are cosy and comfy too.

I’m still playing nursemaid and chief care-giver while Ben is laid up, and the dogs have been attentive nursemaids too – made easier because Ben’s most comfortable place to rest right now is on the floor. Any time I need to find them, they’re usually in a pile on the loungeroom rug, heads together on the pillows, watching bad tv and hanging out together. I expect this healing journey will take a positive turn soon, and we are well supported with a great doctor and acupuncturist, so now it’s just a matter of patience.

I see my own doctors this week, to finally get test results and work out my latest action-plan for my health. I’m actually feeling pretty good, all things considered, and hopefully this upward trend will continue for me too.

Stay open in the days ahead, and trust in the Universe to provide you with inspiration, direction and support. Messages are everywhere, so tune in. And remember, I believe in you and your dreams, and I will keep holding space for you until you believe in yourself too.

Love, hugs, mugs of chai and lavender heat-wheat packs, Nicole xx

PS – We have a beloved family member visiting, and I made this delicious salted caramel cheesecake for their birthday yesterday – embellished with mini Oreos and Maltesers, because you can never be too over-the-top with a birthday cheesecake! Let me know if you’d like me to share the recipe later this week 😊
