Meditation for Healing Your Relationship With Money

“Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure nineteen six, result happiness. Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure twenty pound ought and six, result misery.”  ~ Charles Dickens

“Many people take no care of their money till they come nearly to the end of it, and others do just the same with their time.” ~ Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Hello, February. Aren’t you pushing some big buttons around money and abundance! Money, lack of it, insecurity around creating it, fear of never having it or of losing it, money mismanagement, poor investment or business decisions, lack of customers, deals gone bad, inability to spend money on yourself, shopping addictions, worry over the ability to support yourself and pay your bills – I’ve had an inbox jammed with messages from people in financial distress or freak-out this month.

I’ve also had a slew of emails from people in deep resistance about all things financial as they work through the first Money Pages of my Year of ME Planner.

So it’s time we had the money talk, don’t you think?

We’re sitting at the dawn of a brand-new energetic era. This is an age of coming back into balance; of sitting in our authentic selves. In this era everything is quicker. More connected. More visible. What we focus on is what we will attract more of.

At the same time our old outmoded beliefs are being brought out into the light so we can identify and own them and move on to new ideas which serve us better. Our old stories around money are holding us back. Our family’s beliefs too. We can’t keep hiding from the things we are ignoring. If money is something you’ve never been comfortable with, now is a terrific time to make peace with your money triggers.

Many spiritual and creative people have an uncomfortable relationship with money, and yet money is a fundamental aspect of daily life. As we move into greater integrity it’s time to step up and create a life that is in alignment with our Soul’s purpose. We are being asked to call back and integrate all of the lost and broken and shamed parts of ourselves – including our beliefs and feelings around money.

Money is simply another form of energy. If we are out of flow in one area of our lives it affects all of the others, so it stands to reason that if we are out of synch in our relationship with money, our creativity, our heart’s calling (among so many other possibilities), our financial situation can be impacted and brought out of flow too.

When we find our flow and move into alignment with money, it becomes easier to feel positive about our relationship to money. Whatever our current financial position, it’s all still numbers, and numbers can be changed by bringing our awareness to them and then taking action.

I’ve prepared a short guided meditation to help you to bring your energy into alignment with money and abundance.

All you need to do is set about 14 minutes aside, and then sit or lie somewhere quietly and follow along to the sound of my voice.

Tomorrow I’ll share some simple ideas for creating consciousness around money.

Hugs and love to you,

How Listening To Music Can Increase Your Abundance

“Ah, music,” he said, wiping his eyes. “A magic beyond all we do here!”
~ J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone

On my last retreat I channelled through some information for the group about money and financial abundance. We were given a number of practical tips to help us to look after the money that we already had, and to get us into flow with creating more financial security for the years to come.

One of the most easily applicable tips related to music. Listen to music that makes you feel good, music that you love, we were told. This can be the most powerful tip of all.

The best music is the music of our own youth – our teens and early twenties. The music we listened to, and the music that we made ourselves. This is music we can sing along to. It’s music that makes us want to dance or laugh or cry, or run up a mountain or change the world. For a few of us, the music from our earlier childhood – that was the power music of our parents’ youth, or our grandparents’ – can be just as powerful because of the positive associations it brings for us.

Playing this music places us into an energy of comfort, hope and possibility. It brightens our energy and heightens our emotions. As we sit in that space of being happy and emotionally connected, we move into the energy of flow. We sit in our power. Ideas and inspiration come. We become aligned to our highest good. And from that place of flow all kinds of magic can happen. In order to manifest we need to be in flow. In order to be in flow we need to feel good. Therefore, music! I love the simplicity of this, and I resonate with the truth of it.

Music is something available to us all. For me, my power tunes are all eighties music. This was such great news to me. I love eighties music!

How about you? What are your power tunes? How does music affect your energy?

“I’d rather have roses on my table than diamonds on my neck.”
~ Emma Goldman

Here we are, home at the farm. Such a healing space for me. While I’m soaking up the magic before we head back to the city again to support our beloved family, here’s a taste of our last few days.

A tin full of baby fruit cakes, some to keep for us and some to share.

2015-05-29 10.47.05

Some mixed lettuce and snow peas to plant out into the vegetable garden.

A drink of sweet fresh water down at the dam. There are ten new calves, and all of them are healthy and happy.

2015-05-15 10.21.16A visit with some good friends, our neighbours Princess Lil the Farm Dog and Monty the Horse..

2015-05-18 11.41.39The camelias around the house are all in bloom, and carpeting the lawn with their pretty petals.

2014-03-31 17.21.32The mandarins are ripening nicely in the orchard. We picked a few to munch on while we were burning the pile, and we’ll pick more today to take back to the city.

2012-07-15 08.31.15We got to burn a pile of windfallen timber up in the orchard, as well as the frames of the old fruit trees we’d removed late last year. The fragrant smoke lingered on our clothes and hair. I can still smell the pile smouldering this morning.

2012-07-31 17.18.42And our table has been filled with food, friends and blessings. I love my little farm. It’s so good being home.

Sending much love to you, Nicole❤ xoxo

Power Word Meditation for 2015

“The more of me I be,
The clearer I can see.”
~ Rachel Archelaus

Today I’ve prepared a short guided meditation to help you to truly connect to your power word for 2015.

If you haven’t yet chosen your power word go back and choose it here.

If you have a crystal that you’d like to nominate to hold the energy of your power word, go ahead and select one. It’s also fine to do this meditation without a crystal. Just do what feels right for you.

Here’s the rock that I’m going to use in conjunction with my power word in 2015:

2014-12-30 20.41.18

It’s a banded milky quartz and fire quartz from the Gibb River in the Kimberley. The stone is river smoothed, but pock-marked and imperfect, and it still holds tiny traces of dirt from the muddy river bank where I found it.

My power word for 2015 is BUILD and when I hold this stone I feel that energy of building. My stone has dirt still embedded in its cracks, it is solid and well used, and it feels honest somehow. The bands of colour in the stone remind me of the need for me to take small but consistent steps. The darker thicker layer at the bottom of the stone prompts me to build solid foundations.

Use your intuition and I know you’ll be guided to the right crystal choice. Feel free to post a pic and your power word over on our facebook page so we can share a little good energy for the build-up to 2015.

I also encourage you to keep a journal handy so that you can record any insights after your power word meditation is finished.

Guided Meditation.

Read through the simple instructions first, before completing this activity in your own time.

Hold your crystal in your cupped hands and close your eyes. Spend a minute relaxing your body and then bring your attention to your power word.

Imagine your word as a colour. Imagine your word as an energy.

Notice where in your body you feel this word.

Now ask yourself ‘How can this word help me in 2015?’

Sit or lie quietly, holding your crystal, and open yourself to any answers, insights or images that come. Keep asking yourself that question. Wait for more answers, each time allowing yourself to go deeper.

When you are done, bring your attention to the crystal. Visualise the colour and energy of your word enter the stone. See the word shining brightly inside your stone. Then see your word shining brightly in you – in your heart and in your mind.

When you’re ready, bring your attention back into the room and record any insights or understandings in your journal.

During 2015, try to do this simple meditation weekly to help keep you focused and on track.

The Parable of The Sacred Plumber

Image from

“Anybody who has any doubt about the ingenuity or the resourcefulness of a plumber never got a bill from one.” ~ George Meany

“If I had my life to live over again, I’d be a plumber.” ~ Albert Einstein

Once upon a time there was a small village, much like every other village everywhere.

All of the people within the village had their own work to do. There was a dentist, a baker, a sausage maker, a psychic, some teachers, a herbalist, a dressmaker, farmers, writers, carpenters, the newspaper editor, and a whole bunch of other jobs.

Not everyone had the skills to become a doctor, and the people who found sickness unappealing were secretly grateful that they did not have that job. It was universally agreed that the pastry chef was inspired by angels, and the village masseuse was possessed of magical hands that could work miracles on sore backs and cricked necks, achieving what even the good doctor could not. The man who kept the sports field green and smooth loved his job, was enthusiastic about grass and lawn mowers, and read up on grubs and fertilisers. The well-tended field was one to be proud of!

Each person worked according to their talents and aptitudes. The talents each person possessed were considered their God-given gift. The villagers understood that using their talents would be satisfying and sustaining, would honour the giver, and would help contribute to the well-being of the community. There was a place for everyone, and a great diversity of talent. It was a pretty good system.

On a cold and blustery Christmas Eve, disaster struck at one house within the village. Mabel’s toilet backed up. To her horror, a terrible stench came from the bathroom, and muck started flowing out onto the floor. What was she to do?

At first she tried to fix it herself, but that didn’t help. Mable was a psychologist. Toilet emergencies weren’t really her thing. All she knew was that her mood was going from bad to worse.

Then she asked her husband. How do you expect me to fix it, he said. I am a musician. Shall I play my cello for the toilet in the hope that it becomes better tempered?

The next-door-neighbour was a web designer. She couldn’t help. The baker was busy baking bread for the next day. Mabel’s best friend, the funeral celebrant, could only suggest shutting the door and hoping for the best.

The situation became critical. The blocked toilet threatened to ruin Mabel’s planned Christmas Extravaganza. And the kids were worried that Santa wouldn’t stop at such a smelly house!

Finally it was decided that a plumber was needed. Did plumbers even work on Christmas Eve? Christmas Eve was a time when plumbers wanted to be with their own families – not fixing someone else’s stinky toilet disaster.

But fixing stinky toilet disasters is what plumbers do…

Finally Mabel tracked down a plumber who could come to their house. A few hours later the toilet was all fixed. The day was saved. The family would be able to celebrate in comfort after all!

Did Mabel say to the plumber ‘Oh, plumbing is your God-given gift. You can’t possibly charge money for that!’

In fact, she expected to pay more, and was HAPPY to pay more, because it was Christmas Eve, and the situation was desperate. (If you’ve ever had a blocked toilet you’ll know what I mean.)

You, just like every other person in the village, have a God-given gift, and a unique set of talents and experiences. These gifts and talents are meant to sustain you.

No-one expects a plumber to work for free. Especially on Christmas Eve.

The plumber’s talents are God-given, but so are yours!

Charge for your work, and don’t let people abuse your talents. Especially if you work as a healer, an artist or in any kind of helping capacity. We all have different things to share, and all of them have value.

And don’t expect other talented people to do work for you for free. That’s just not realistic or fair.

Getting Ready for Our Final Guided Meditation

“Limitless undying love which shines around me like a million suns, it calls me on and on across the universe.”
~ John Lennon

A few weeks ago I started a series of seven weekly guided meditations, and tomorrow I shall bring you the final meditation for this series.

This last meditation is designed to anchor us into the unfolding energy of the Universe.

So, for you to make best use of tomorrow’s meditation, I need you to do a few simple things in preparation:

1) Find a photograph of you as a small child or baby.

2) Find a photograph or even an object that belonged to one of your ancestors. Choose someone who is/was your grandparent, or even from the generations before that.

3) Find the crystal that we used in last week’s meditation. If you did not join us for that meditation choose a stone or a crystal that feels good in your hands. Place it outside on the earth, rest it in the soil of a houseplant, or place it on a windowsill where it will get natural daylight and moonlight for at least six hours or overnight. Retrieve it tomorrow before we start the guided meditation.

4) Think of something that you deeply desire to manifest in your life. Get clear about what that is. If you have time, journal about it to create as much detail as possible.

That’s all you have to do. Enjoy your day, and I’ll see you tomorrow for a guided meditation that will help us to easily move into the universal energy of expansion, connection and manifestation. Much love to you, Nicole xx

Slow Morning at the Farm

2013-10-30 09.55.41

“Slow down and enjoy life. It’s not only the scenery you miss by going too fast – you also miss the sense of where you are going and why.”
Eddie Cantor

It’s a slow start here at the farm this morning. The air is cool, everything is damp after the night’s gentle showers and all of us are feeling relaxed and mellow.

The strawberries are ripening.

The passionfruit vines are setting fruit.

Passionfruit (1)

In the kitchen there is another enormous box of peaches and nectarines being prepped for more pies, jam and chutney.

I have a pot of tea on the go, and a delicious omelette finishing off on the stove, ready for breakfast.

Life is good. Well, breakfast’s ready. Won’t you join me on the veranda? There’s plenty to share! (((HUGS))) Have a wonderful day. Nicole xoxo
