“If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.”

Hello, Lovelies!
This Quarter I am using The Sacred She Oracle by Ma Deva Padma for my weekly oracle readings.
Our card to guide us for the week ahead is XIX. JOY.
2024 is a year for fresh starts, for creativity, healing and social connection. It’s a year for ambitious projects and for getting stuff done.
June encourages you to focus on your life direction – reflecting on what is working for you, and what you would like to change. It’s a month of creativity and innovation, of heightened psychic perception and intuition, and a deep need to be honest with yourself about your life.
XIX. JOY.
XIX. JOY reminds you to be the storyteller of your own life. Gather to you what makes you happy. Do things that truly interest you. Spend time with people whose company you enjoy. Make things. Learn things. Live!
It is up to you to be the author for your life story – to write your life the way you want to live it. Use your imagination to plan and create your future – visualisation and journalling will be good tools now.
Don’t panic if the Universe has already got the wheels in motion by ending something in your life or turning everything on its head – your outcomes will end up being positive as you are repositioned to somewhere that suits you better and allows greater flow and growth.
This week you’ll find the strength to step away from people and situations that don’t work for you, or to plan your escape at a time that suits your needs. It’s a week well suited to applying for new positions, for asking someone new out on a date and for anything where you are trying new things or stepping outside your comfort zone.
You are encouraged to inspire, motivate and uplift others this week by sharing information and kind words and showing your support. Expect generosity, kindness and goodwill to flow back to you too.
Creative energies are at an all-time high so carve out some time to work on projects that are meaningful to you, or sign up for some classes to hone your talents or learn new skills.
My Top Tip For The Week Ahead
This week we are reminded that play is an integral part of being human. When we play – as adults or as children (and yes, adults need play more than ever!) – it supports our emotional wellbeing. Play allows us to enter a state of relaxation, and it improves our problem-solving ability, stimulates our creativity, enhances our mental clarity and boosts our imagination. When we move into a state of play, our natural curiosity and inner wisdom will illuminate for us what we most need to know right now, especially in regard to our spiritual journey or our life path.
Can’t remember how to play? Sport and outdoor fun is always good, but so is dancing, colouring, baking, craft, jigsaw puzzles and board games, adventuring and anything creative.
Crystals to support you this week – Carnelian, Amethyst, Red Jasper, Green Chrysoprase, Larimar, Bronzite
Late last week I met with my doctor and got the results of the barrage of tests I have been waiting on.
There was some good news. Some pretty average news. And some news that was less than stellar.
I’m still taking it all in – giving myself time to sit with it, making space for how it is, rather than how I’d hoped or feared it might be. Some of my chronic long term illnesses and infections have really done a number on my internal organs. Some of my bloods and stats are not that great. BUT, you know, it could be worse.
And what’s the bright light in all of this? I have a doctor who takes me seriously, who is invested in my wellbeing, and who has a plan.
God, a plan. That’s a beautiful thing.
In a webinar I ran for my Inner Circle members last week, we discussed the difference between health and wellbeing. Did you know that you can suffer from major diseases, illnesses or disabilities and still have a high level of wellbeing? Wellbeing is a state of mind, and a way of living – it’s not just about how thin or fit or undamaged you are.
If you’re energetically sensitive (most of our community are!), it’s highly likely you’ll be sensitive in other areas of your life too. That may present as auto-immune stuff, gut problems, chemical sensitivities or food intolerances, issues with bright lights, loud noises or crowded spaces. That’s okay. There’s nothing wring with you. That’s just the way you’re wired. Folk like us often need extra quiet time, time on our own, and time away from people and stimulation. Quiet time heals and recalibrates us, so I am planning a little extra quiet time of my own this week.
In other news I created an Aunty Project with my nieces who live interstate. I posted them books – so they have a copy and I have a copy – and we are working through them on Zoom. My older niece and I are working on creating our own personal values systems, and discussing the big and small issues of life. My younger niece and I are doing a cooking challenge, where she chooses a recipe, and the next week we cook that on the same day in our respective households and share the results.
It’s turning out to be a fun and deeply satisfying connection, with the bonus of yummy meals.
Here’s last week’s delicious food – One Pan Chicken and Rice with Shallots and Ginger. We think the recipe still needs a few tweaks, and when we have perfected it I’ll share it with you.
I’m encouraging you to embrace the energies of June, and to narrow your focus down to a few essential but important decisions and actions this month. Leave time for fun, time for rest and retreat, and room to explore ideas or to change your mind. Above all, be the champion of your own dreams. If you don’t, who will?
Love, hugs and zesty recipes, Nicole xx
