This Quarter I am using the Sacred Destiny Oracle by Denise Linn for my weekly oracle readings.
Our card to guide us for the week ahead is ADVENTURES.
2024 is a year for fresh starts, for creativity, healing and social connection. It’s a year for ambitious projects and for getting stuff done.
September is a month for healing the past, for moving beyond your old hurts and insecurities, and for creating changes that will lead to your life feeling and working better.
ADVENTURES
This card heralds delightful energies for a week of adventure. For some people that means outings, unexpected invitations or a sudden strong yearning to break free and go do something different instead of being shackled to routine and boredom.
You’ll also find a note of optimism creeping in, and a newfound appreciation for the small details of your life and the world around you.
It’s a week of surprises, inspired thinking, emotional shifts and big breakthroughs. You’ll have an extra store of emotional courage and personal bravery this week, helping you to put yourself out into the world. ADVENTURES reminds us that we can go beyond our current limits, and that we can choose to see ourselves and our lives differently – so that a new and brighter future becomes possible. Some of these adventures may be based on the longings, interests and adventures of your youth or early childhood. That’s okay. Dreams can stay active in us for the longest time, waiting patiently to be fulfilled. Or maybe you’re finally ready to go for a new job, a new home, a new relationship, a new hobby. Embrace those possibilities! Map your ideas out and begin making a plan. Ideas are no good if they have no action to back them up and turn them from thought into reality.
If you’re a creative soul you’ll find the ideas literally pouring into your brain and body this week, and you’ll feel itchy for some kind of outlet for the expression of all of this energy. Make sure you take the time to capture those ideas in a recording or on paper. Then make a start, no matter how small. It could end up being a life-changing project for you!
My Top Tip For The Week Ahead
Mix it up a bit this week. Try taking an alternate route to your usual one when you are travelling, or travel at a different time. Eat at a new cafe. Listen to a new radio station. And where possible plan an adventure or two, even if that’s just a short wander during your lunch hour.

Alaska has been fabulous!
So much wilderness. So much wildlife.
We’ve seen glaciers, ice, crazy landscapes, whales, orcas, sea otters, sealions, eagles, deer, squirrel and a moose.
It has been cold, colder and decidedly icy. Summer is well and truly over here and the fall colours have captivated us.
One of my favourite things was hiking through a huge old forest that smelled like some kind of exotic woodsy aftershave. The air was so clean and good, and everything was green and mossy and damp.
I’ve also gotten a feel for the old goldrush days, and the extremes of the Alaskan climate for those who live here now.
We’ll be off across the ocean to Hawaii later today. I’m planning naps, writing and lots of sauna and hot tub time for our ocean crossing.
