That’s two lessons I learned very quickly: (1) You don’t need to do anything in life—if it feels wrong or unnatural, it probably is. And (2) I had no one but myself to blame for not trusting my own instincts and pushing back when I felt something was wrong.Colin Jost
This Quarter I am using the Sacred Earth Oracle Deck cards by Toni Carmine Salerno and Leela J. Williams, illustrated by Helena Nelson-Reed for my weekly oracle readings.
Our card to guide us for the week ahead is PERCEPTION. Your intuition and Inner Wisdom will always guide you well, if you let it. This week, so many good things can happen for you, if only you trust yourself above all others.
You’ve felt it before.
That feeling that draws you towards something. Or the feeling that makes you want to step back, say no, or run away.
That’s our intuition in action, and it’s something all of us have.
We’ve all had red flags. And sometimes we haven’t listened to them.
We’ve all had green lights. And sometimes we haven’t acted on them.
This week, guided by PERCEPTION we will have the opportunity to make life-changing shifts, simply by honouring our intuition and saying yes to what feels right, and no to what doesn’t.
It’s as simple as that. But the power isn’t in the feelings you get that can guide you forward. The power is in you acting upon those feelings and that inner guidance.
My Top Tip For The Week Ahead: Find some time to get quiet so you can tune in to your intuition. Before you make a decision, before you act on anything, stop. Put a hand on your heart. Take a deep breath. Let time slow down for a second or two while you listen to what your intuition says. Ask yourself if this is right for you. Honour what comes up and then be honest with yourself and others. Say yes, say no, or if you’re not sure yet, be clear about that too. Simple? Yes. Life changing? Probably!

Here in my treehouse I am experimenting with new recipes, unpacking the next round of boxes and slowly getting my office and writing space set up.
We’re also setting up a new herb garden, because I miss being able to step outside my door and have fresh herbs at my fingertips. Honestly, I have struggled without my massive beds of herbs because I used them every day when I was at the farm. (I even made myself a lockdown herb garden in Brisbane because I couldn’t live without them!)
I’m still waiting on test results, and more medical tests, but that’s situation normal. In the meanwhile I am cooking up a storm!
The other good news is that I finally have high speed internet. It’s a bit of a dodgy set-up while I wait for my high speed router to show up (which could take months because there is a global backlog on orders) but my internet is now good enough that I don’t have to keep driving to my Mum’s to use hers. Hooray! That means I can now start planning my life and all the lovely things I want to share with you.
I realised this past week how much I have missed cooking and messing around in the kitchen. Most of last year I was in lockdown on my own in the city, and with no-one to cook for or share food with, I mostly lost my cooking mojo. Then we were packing up the farm and moving and there was no time for anything but tried and true recipes, and sometimes no cooking at all!
So, expect more recipe sharings in the weeks ahead. Cooking is so grounding for me, and one of my favourite ways to nurture myself and others. How about you? What’s your fave way to get grounded and to look after yourself?
Big hugs, love, recipe books, and a sprinkle of fresh herbs, Nicole xx
