Monday Oracle – 4 December 2017

“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes...” – Marcel Proust

Hello, Lovelies!

December is a month for gifts of pleasure, true abundance and celebration. Keep that in mind as we look at the gifts which the oracle card Discovery brings us.

So, what awareness does Discovery bring us this week?

This week is all about forgiveness, sitting in our heart space, letting go of judgement and criticism of self and others, and being able to embrace the moment while becoming open to receive as we draw opportunities and adventures to us for the year ahead. It’s time to forgive ourselves for all of those moments in our lives we look back on and wince. It’s time to forgive others, to allow for new connections or healing to replace that energy of stuckness, pain, anger and shame.

I’m loving this week’s energy. I’ve just finished a BIG meditation for you, focusing on opening up to new possibilities and becoming comfortable with change. (It supports and continues the intention work I did with our crystal grid for 2018 on retreat last week.)

When we keep comparing our life to how it was a week, a month, years ago, it holds us in the past, and prevents us seeing the wonderful things in front of us right now. This week Discovery encourages us to let go of our attachment to needing situations or people to ‘go back’ to how they were in the past, or dwelling on ‘how they could have been’. If you’ve found yourself drowning in regret and melancholy, stuck in the past or glorifying how things were or ‘might have turned out if only things had happened differently’, this is your week to break that unhealthy attachment to wanting to recreate the impossible.

We finally begin to understand that we are changed, and can never return to who we were yesterday, a month ago, a decade ago. That person no longer exists because we have evolved and moved forward. The Universe is an ever-expanding force, and so are you. This holds true for everyone around you. None of us is the same person we were. Everyone and everything changes. We can never go back, only forward.

Discovery opens us to change and new life. It’s a week for letting go in order to embrace the new. As every door closes another one opens.

Keep reminding yourself that life is an unfolding miracle and you are worthy of love and all good things. It’s true, and I’m holding that space for you in my meditations this week.

Supportive crystals this week?

Clear Quartz lifts your vibration and opens you to flow. It is a highly spiritual stone, encouraging self-reflection and helpful for hearing messages and receiving signs or direction that can assist you on your journey. A clear quartz point or cluster will be extra supportive for you this week! Carnelian gives increased feelings of self-acceptance, creativity, energy and practical inspiration. Iolite illuminates your depths and helps you to see what’s hiding, and what you’re not seeing – a beautiful stone for boosting self-belief. Unakite opens your heart to love, and draws love, friendship and helpful people to you. It helps you to overcome feelings of isolation or loneliness.

Helpful essential oils?

I’m loving Young Living’s Envision this week. It’s an oil blend I often use in my workshops and retreats to help my students connect to inner wisdom and intuition. It helps us to see a greater possibility for ourselves. Use Envision for spiritual connection, inspiration and breakthroughs. Dab a drop on your Crown Chakra, back of neck, over your heart, wrists and the soles of your feet, inhale directly or add to your diffuser.

Want to make your own blend? Each of the following oils will work beautifully on their own for you this week, but they’ll also make a delicious combination for diffusing. Frankincense for spiritual and intuitive connection and restoration of faith. Geranium for stress reduction and emotional balance, and for evoking a sense of peace and goodwill. Orange for optimism and happiness. Pine for being grounded and centred in ourselves as we open to our highest potential. Pine is also an oil that supports family gatherings and open connection. To diffuse add 2 or three drops of each oil to your room or personal diffuser. You can find the oils here.

Holding you, as always, in my thoughts, prayers and meditations, and intending for you a life of abundance and joy, where you are no longer limited by your doubts.

All my love,

Nicole ❤ xx

PS: Monday’s oracle card, ‘Discovery’, is from the Chakra Wisdom Oracle Deck by Tori Hartman. I use any cards shown as a prompt for channelled messages and my own intuitive wisdom, so my take is sometimes quite different to the meaning found in a book.

Time to Let Go and Move On – Monday Oracle 22 May 2017

“The truth is, unless you let go, unless you forgive yourself, unless you forgive the situation, unless you realize that the situation is over, you cannot move forward.”
~ Steve Maraboli

Hello, Lovelies!

Here’s the oracle card I have chosen this Monday, and my take on the energetic outlook for the week ahead. I use any oracle or tarot cards shown as a prompt for channelled messages and my own intuitive wisdom, so my take is sometimes quite different to the meaning found in a book. ‘Release’ is from the Chakra Wisdom Oracle Deck by Tori Hartman.

If you read my forecast for May, you’ll remember that May brings beautiful heart-nurturing energies, helping you to move towards love, forgiveness, inner peace and emotional freedom.

So, what gifts does Release bring for you this week?

We are often weighed down in life by emotional burdens, especially in relation to our past. These burdens take the form of  anger, fear, loss, shame, guilt, rejection, hate, resentment, judgement, abandonment, failure, injustice, poor decisions, mistakes, sorrow, pain.

This week we are encouraged to let go of the past. To forgive. To walk away. To close doors. To move on.

Why do we need to do this? Not for others. For ourselves. We can end up living in our heads, living in the past, wasting all of our precious life force on what was or what could have been. What we could have said or done differently.

But we can’t change the past. Our power lies in this moment. And when we can forgive and let go of the past so many things can change for us. So many things can open up or come into our lives.

Walking away from old patterns and behaviours that hurt us, diminish us or derail us. Yep, Release speaks to the support available for you this week to address these things.

Release is also about turn-arounds. Draining and negative situations will come to a close. Solutions will be found. New perspectives and knowledge will become available. Help will show up. If you’ve been looking for a sign, perhaps this is it!

It’s a week for us to embrace hope, love, forgiveness and compassion. A week for us to remember that we are not alone, that answers can be found, that we can move forward, and that we are truly loved.

Supportive crystals this week?

Rhodonite is great for supporting us to follow our hearts. Snowflake Obsidian will help to remove old negative self-talk and replace it with optimism. Amazonite gifts us courage to speak the truth and to act from truth.  Red Jasper will keep you grounded and emotionally supported if you need to move through trauma or anxiety in order to make changes.

Helpful essential oils?

Young Living’s Release essential oil blend, or a combination (or singly!) of any of Ylang Ylang, Geranium, Frankincense and Lavender. Release essential oil blend smells grounding and uplifting. We use it as a working tool on our retreats to help facilitate emotional clearing and spiritual shifts. Just rub a drop together in the palms of your hands and then breathe in and wipe through your aura.  A few drops in the bath are wonderful too. You may want to dilute with a drop or two of a base oil such a sweet almond or coconut before applying directly to the skin. Rub onto the back of your neck for instant effect. It’s my oil of choice in my diffuser this week. You can find all the oils here.

Holding you, as always, in my thoughts, prayers and meditations, and intending for a you a life of abundance and joy, where you are no longer limited by your doubts.

All my love,

Nicole ❤ xx

The Energies of May – 2017

“A single act of kindness throws out roots in all directions, and the roots spring up and make new trees.” ~ Amelia Earhart

Hello, Lovelies :)

Breathe a sigh of relief. May is here with her gentle heart-nurturing energies, after the upheavals, revelations and hard work of April.

We’ve identified or faced the difficult stuff, and now that we know where we stand the only way for us to move is forward. Of course May also reminds us that we might need a cup of tea and a nap first – and that’s perfectly okay!

Cards for the Month:

I’ve chosen two cards for May for you: one from the Osho Zen Tarot Deck, and one from Colette Baron-Reid’s Wisdom of the Oracle. Please note I don’t use these cards in the conventional way, but rather as a stimulus for channelled information.

Here is what I have received from each card:

“Where there is love there is life.”
~ Mahatma Gandhi

May is a heart-centred month. Our little soul garden has such potential for blooming and flourishing now. May encourages us to get out of the shadow of others and shine our own light. It’s a month where projects and ideas can thrive and we begin to trust our own judgement.

It’s a month where we can develop deep and lasting love connections, and where we can finally heal from the pain of previous heartbreak – whatever the cause.

May shows us how to be independent in love, rather than collapsing into relationships and situations that swallow us whole so that we lose our sense of self or surrender what is dear to us in order that a relationship might work. In May we see that losing ourselves in love isn’t the way to love anyone, especially ourselves.

May is also a great month for overcoming addictions, and healing our body, mind and spirit of deep wounds and traumas so that we can stand strong again.

The second card I’ve chosen is Peace. In May we are encouraged to drop the things from our lives that pull us into craziness, pain or chaos. Strong boundaries may be needed. It’s also a time for forgiveness, no matter how long a burden of pain has been carried.

“We don’t realize that, somewhere within us all, there does exist a supreme self who is eternally at peace.”
~ Elizabeth Gilbert, Eat, Pray, Love

If you do one thing in May, let it be an act of forgiveness. Forgiveness untethers you from being stuck in the past. It gives you wings. It gifts you freedom. It restores peace. Sometimes, that is also the precious gift your forgiveness gives someone else.

Forgiveness ultimately is about freeing yourself, even if it is someone else you are forgiving. Remember that. It never validates or justifies what happened. It merely says that you are going to put the burden of this heavy thing down now, so that your energy can flow again and you can move away from the pain.

Forgives needs to start with yourself. Every day is a fresh beginning, if only you will allow that. You woke up this morning different to who you were yesterday. Sometimes the change is big. Sometimes it is infinitesimally small. But you changed. So did the other people on this planet. Allow for that possibility in yourself and others, while always maintaining kindness, compassion and common sense.

If you extend an olive branch to another and it is rejected? Be at peace with that. Respect that other person’s choices. Let it be peaceful on your side of the relationship. Be glad that you tried. Flow love anyway. Know that no might not mean never – it might simply not be the right timing yet.

Create space in your life for quiet and peace this month. Find a space that can be your sanctuary or create one. (Not sure how to do that? My lovely friend Helen Joy Butler can help. Go check out her website here)

Best crystals this month?

Rhodonite and Amazonite

Rhodonite is a stone of compassion and love that supports the heart chakra and aids emotional healing. It really bolsters our emotional resilience too.

Image from the GemStoneGeeks

Amazonite taps us into our inner strength and restores hope and trust – a very uplifting stone.

Essential oils to support your journey?

Each of the following oils will work beautifully on their own for you this month, but they also make a delicious combination for diffusing. The essential oils you will find helpful in May are Geranium, Rosemary, Ylang Ylang, and Jasmine. Geranium will soothe anxiety, Rosemary enhances focus and concentration and lifts us out of fatigue and burnout, Ylang Ylang supports us to be able to receive love into our lives and to feel more loving towards ourselves, Jasmine is a wonderful oil for connecting to our intuitive and natural optimism. To diffuse add 2 or three drops of each oil to your room or personal diffuser. You can find the oils here.

Make space in your life for relationships, love, connection, forgiveness and gentleness this month. With yourself. With others. You’ll be so glad you did.

Lots of love, Nicole❤ xoxo

The Week Ahead – Oracle Reading for Monday 12 December

morality-osho

“Civilization is always threatened from below, by patterns of belief and emotion that may once have been useful to our ancestors, but that are useful no longer.”
~ Roger Scruton

“Whereas moral courage is the righting of wrongs, creative courage, in contrast, is the discovering of new forms, new symbols, new patterns on which a new society can be built.”
~ Rollo May

Hello, Lovelies!

Here’s the oracle card I have chosen this Monday, and my take on the energetic outlook for the week ahead.

‘Morality’ is from the Osho Zen Tarot deck. This card signifies the great importance of the week ahead. It’s a potent time for pattern breaking – both the patterns and limiting mindsets that we have created for ourselves, and for the perpetuated and limiting patterns that have been passed down through our family lines.

Please stop judging yourself and others for past decisions and actions. It’s never helpful, and it holds us tied to thsoe old energies and actions. Instead, seek to recognise limitations, embrace forgiveness, then make different choices which create space for healing and change.

Remember that who and where you’ve been doesn’t have to decide your future, it only informs your past. You’re bigger than your past. And we’re always growing, changing and moving on.

December is a time for reflection, and for sitting in the Supermind. This month we’re encouraged to truly give thought to who we are, where we’ve been, and where we want to go next.

As part of our reflection we’ll be able to see our current blocks and obstacles much more clearly this week. It’s a week that supports our decision to bust through these limits, or simply to start believing in a different story for ourselves and our futures.

We’re reminded to think kindly of ourselves and to come from a place of love and compassion in all that we do, this week and always.

Don’t keep mindlessly buying into the dramas of other people, or of the world. Choose to live with hope and optimism. Use your awareness to create shift and change, starting with yourself.

This is a fabulous week for creating a crystal grid to help release and heal old limiting ancestral patterns of thinking and behaviour. Clearing and healing family lines as 2016 draws to a close will enable us to move into 2017 with a clean slate, and a host of fresh and new possibilities.

I have seen many changes and synchronicities happen after creating such a grid. What matters most is your intention to break patterns, to heal, to be inclusive and to come from a place of love.

If you visit my shop (link at top of this page) you’ll find some downloadable instructions under the ‘Free Stuff’ category to guide you through the process of creating your own crystal healing grid to help close out 2016.

I have also set up an Ancestors and Songlines crystal healing grid here on the farm. If you’d like to be a part of my grid, please pop over to that blogpost, or to my facebook page (click to follow the links) and add your name. I’ll program and dedicate a crystal to you, and then place it within the grid. From today I’ll be posting pictures on Instagram and Facebook of the stones I’ll be dedicating for you. Look out for yours!

If you’d like me to see a picture of your grid, then please tag me with #cauldronsandcupcakesgrid or post to my facebook page and I’d be thrilled to come take a look. <3

Need some extra support to break patterns and beliefs?

Over in my shop is another free download called Soul Healing Statements. Download this sheet, and then choose the affirmations that resonate for you. Repeat them often, and let them help to rewire your thoughts and beliefs in positive ways.

Supportive crystals this week? Green Aventurine, Rhodochrosite, Labradorite, Smoky Quartz and Snowflake Obsidian.  Helpful essential oils? Young Living’s Joy essential oil blend, or  a combination (or singly!) of any of rose, cedarwood, lavender, bergamot and frankincense.

Wishing you a breakthrough week of wisdoms, insights and shift. Release, forgive, and embrace hope this week. As we close out 2016 and step towards these new energies of 2017 allow yourself to connect back into optimism.

Holding you, as always, in my thoughts, prayers and meditations.  All my love,

Nicole ❤ xx

The Energies of September – 2016

“And now here is my secret, a very simple secret: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.”
~ Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince

Hello, Lovelies :)

Welcome to September. It’s such a lovely heart-centered month. A month for simplifying. For focusing on what matters. For fresh starts and timely endings.

Cards for the Month:

I’ve chosen two cards for September for you: one from the Osho Zen Tarot Deck, and one from Colette Baron-Reid’s Wisdom of the Oracle. Please note I don’t use these cards in the conventional way, but rather as a stimulus for channelled information.

Here is what I have received from each card:

inner voice osho

“Anyone can plot a course with a map or compass; but without a sense of who you are, you will never know if you’re already home.”
~ Shannon L. Alder

September helps us to honour our inner voice and intuitive wisdom, allowing us to truly begin to know our heart’s calling. A sense of inner peace comes to us as we finally start to own our truth, and to live from that place. This month we see things from a higher perspective. Old relationships, trials, failures and obstacles lose their sting, and we see how many of these things have helped us to become who we are and to develop a depth and wisdom we would not otherwise have had. We can put down the guilt or resentment.

We start to see the learnings instead of just the pain.

Our energy can flow again after all of that stuckness.

We can also call on this inner wisdom to illuminate areas of our life that are out of harmony for us, so that we can take action to bring them back into alignment with our core values, or set them free.

It’s a liberating and peaceful month, and yet it will also be one of strong personal growth and transformation. Take some quiet time just for you this month. It will be worth it.

flexible wisdom of the oracle

“Flexibility is the greatest strength.” ~ Steven Redhead

The second card I’ve chosen is Flexible. This card reminds us to put our dreams front and centre, even if it means that we need to get creative about how we do that.

This month we need balance, but it serves us to be able to remain flexible in our attitudes and actions. All kinds of unexpected directions and opportunities will present themselves, and if we remain rigidly locked into a plan we may miss the best thing that could have happened to us in ages.

You’re encouraged to listen to your body. If you’re exhausted, rest. If you are on fire with an idea, then burn the midnight oil.

Let go of your need to be right. Instead, embrace an attitude of curiosity and a willingness to learn new things.

Don’t get bogged down in how something is supposed to look or behave. Let go of cherished outcomes and keep an open mind instead.

This month can give you the breakthrough you need, if you are open to it!

Best crystals this month?

Opal is a stone that links heart and mind – wonderful for being able to tune in to our own inner wisdom. It helps us to see, understand and truly know ourselves, and is uplifting and kind in its energies. It also promotes creativity and inspiration.

Any kind of opal or opalite will do. Go with what you are drawn to.

Golden Healer Quartz is quartz crystal with the inclusion of iron oxide within or on the outside of the crystal, giving it aspects of colour that look pale lemon, golden or even burnt orange. Golden Healer is a master healing stone that restores your natural energy and vibration after periods of lower vibration, negativity, illness or stuckness. It promotes positive communication, and positive thoughts towards self and others.

You could also use any of these oils on their own.  You can find the oils here.

September will rocket some of you ahead so far that you’ll look back and wonder how so much change could have happened in just one month. For others, the change will be more subtle, but it will still be a month of transformation.

Embrace it! And remember to keep a little downtime for rest, dreams and planning.

Sending all my love to you, Nicole ♥ xx

Forgiveness Meditation – Mini Online Chakra Wisdoms Retreat Day 4

“Be the one who nurtures and builds. Be the one who has an understanding and a forgiving heart one who looks for the best in people. Leave people better than you found them.”
~ Marvin J. Ashton

Forgiveness is one of the more valuable gifts that we can give ourselves.

The energies of the next three days are well suited for all forms of forgiveness work. It’s one of the big things we are working on here at my Chakra Wisdoms retreat.

In today’s mini online retreat that follows along with our own, I encourage you to sit in that energy of forgiveness. Forgiveness of self. Forgiveness of those who have wronged you. Forgiveness for bad decisions and mistakes and all other manner of hurt and regret and opportunities lost or dreams uneventuated.

I recorded a meditation yesterday during our residential course here in Byron Bay. It is a raw and unedited recording with a few background coughs and snuffles but they won’t disturb your process.

There are also a few concepts and terms that you may be unfamiliar with, so let me briefly explain them here:

  • The zero point field is a quantum physics term. Think of it as the space between all matter – a space of darkness and possibility that flows through and links all things, everywhere.
  • Your soul anchor is a chakra that sits deep with the earth. Think of it as a small black sphere that is positioned well below your feet and within the liquid part of the earth’s core.
  • Your thymus chakra is located on your chest, between your heart and throat chakras. It is turquoise in colour, and is the seat of compassion, forgiveness and oneness energy.

Chakra Wisdoms Forgiveness Meditation

To listen to this meditation, sit or lie with a straight spine. You’re welcome to hold your favourite crystal too. Then simply close your eyes and follow along to the sound of my voice. You’ll need to set aside fifteen minutes for this exercise.

Journalling Forgiveness

Image from www.wowoon.com

Image from www.wowoon.com

If you’d like to do a little more work around the energy of forgiveness, use your oracle or tarot cards and journal to explore this in more detail.

Shuffle your cards, while holding the question ‘Where have I held myself back by failing to forgive?’

When you have shuffled the cards and they feel ‘done’, select just one card. How you choose that card is up to you. You can split the deck. You could take the top or bottom card. You could fan the cards out and take one from the array.

Place the card face up in front of you.

Clear your mind by closing your eyes and taking one deep breath in and then out. Open your eyes again. Take a minute and look at the picture on the oracle or tarot card.

What stands out for you? Is it an image or a colour? Is it a number or a word? What are your first impressions?

Write these down in your journal.

Now let’s go a little deeper. What feelings or words does this card evoke in your mind when you think about the card and its images in relation to your question. Take five minutes and just write some stream-of-consciousness thoughts down. Don’t censor or judge them. Trust your intuition..

Now repeat this same process for the final two questions:

‘What positive energies do I reclaim by forgiving myself and others?’

‘If I bring my attention to it, where will I get my biggest breakthrough?’

Thinking of you and sending so much love, Nicole xx

PS – Today is our last day of retreat so there will be no blog post tomorrow. I will be catching up on some much-needed sleep. Thanks for your understanding <3

The Magical Box Of Broken Dreams

“Before you can live a part of you has to die. You have to let go of what could have been, how you should have acted and what you wish you would have said differently. You have to accept that you can’t change the past experiences, opinions of others at that moment in time or outcomes from their choices or yours. When you finally recognize that truth then you will understand the true meaning of forgiveness of yourself and others. From this point you will finally be free.”
~ Shannon L. Alder

It was seeing my mother yesterday that finally and unexpectedly helped me to let go of something I’d been holding onto for the longest time.

I hadn’t seen mum for a while, and I was quietly shocked to see how tired and old and careworn she looked. How much like my late grandmother.

There was something else I recognised in the lines of her face, the creases of her eyes, the aging skin on the back of her hands…

Me.

There I was, in my mother’s face. In her posture and her laugh, and her sun-damaged winter-skinned hands.

Mum’s getting older, and so am I.

It wasn’t a bad feeling. It was an honest acceptance of this thing that is time, marching through our too-short lives and stealing our days whether we are ready or not.

Of course, Lyme disease has also stolen many of my days. Too many, really. But I can’t afford to look back. My power lies in living in the moment, facing forward.

Which is why, close to midnight I rose from my bed, remembering something I hadn’t thought of for a while.

It was there, shoved into the back of the linen closet. Hidden by old towels and sheets. Unused, but never able to be let go of. Just in case. I pulled it out and sat with it for a while. Not sad. Just ready to finally let go.

Many years ago, before I was even married, my nana gave me a tiny pair of knitted booties, a crocheted bonnet and a baby blanket. I was perhaps twenty at the time, and had taken a year off college because of what we thought were the post-illness complications of Ross River fever. I was actually in full-blown lyme, but that’s a whole other story. I hung out with my nana a lot that year, nana and her elderly friends. We swapped arthritis treatments and pain remedies. Despite our age differences we moved in time. Slowly. Limpingly. I was a good fit with the octogenarians. They helped me deal with my limitations, my heart arrhythmias, my exhaustion and lack of mobility. They helped me to laugh at life, and to find pleasure and satisfaction in the small details of my day.

During that year Nana gave me these tiny white treasures for my Glory Box. For when I inevitably became a mother myself.

They were beautiful with their silky little ribbons and tight neat stitches.

Paton's Royal Baby Knitting Patterns - Love Knitting Blog

Paton’s Royal Baby Knitting Patterns – Love Knitting Blog

I wrapped them in tissue paper and put them in a shoebox. A shoebox that got carted across the country and back again. A shoebox that was always crammed into the back of cupboards as I dealt with ill-health, my first failing marriage, and then the five miscarriages that accompanied my second marriage.

But I could never quite part with those tiny white dreams.

Until today.

I’m too old for children now. My dreams have shifted. My reality has changed. I am where I am and where I am is okay.

The tissue paper is musty and the once-white ribbons have the speckled stains of age. With care and a good wash they might all be made good for someone else. Or perhaps they’d be a lovely outfit for a dolly.

This morning when we take Cafe Dog for his outing, I’ll stop in at the local church and put the shoebox in the thrift shop donation bin.

If new babies are born into our family line, I shall find them bright new dreams and fancies.

We can’t carry everything with us.

I know Nana will understand.

Is there anything in the back of your closet that you need to let go of too? Courage, friend. We have today in our hands, and a new day tightly furled, waiting in the wings of this one. Life is full of amazing gifts when our hearts are open to receive.
