Hello, Lovelies!
This Quarter I am using the Sacred Earth Oracle Deck cards by Toni Carmine Salerno and Leela J. Williams, illustrated by Helena Nelson-Reed for my weekly oracle readings.
Our card to guide us for the week ahead is SPACE. This card holds a strong message about the importance of giving our selves regular ‘slow down’ time – so that we can maintain resilience, health and emotional well-being.

We’re living in difficult times. COVID, global warming, extreme weather events, political instability, economic hardships, and then all of our usual human dramas and frailties. The news bombards us each day. Social media overwhelms us. It’s exhausting and unrelenting, even if you feel that you are coping fairly well with everything.
SPACE reminds you to inhabit your body, to be in the moment, to slow down and find reasons to be grateful for this precious life.
It encourages you to disconnect from the madness for a few hours, or longer if needed.
SPACE whispers in your ear about how you’ll feel so much better if you take the time to be present for the people and things that you love, if you top up your tank with art or music or a shared meal, if you retreat to your bedroom with a good book, or your art room with your craft supplies, or you local café for your favourite brew and a tasty treat.
Pleasure is not a dirty word, and it is not an optional extra. Being able to give ourselves time for pleasure and space for our own peace of mind gifts us the capacity to keep going, keep coping, keep showing up in the world.
My Top Tip For The Week Ahead: Step back from the busy-ness this week. Feel into your body. Ask yourself, are you tired or bored? Tired? Have an early night this week, or take a whole day off if you need it. Lounge around in your pajamas, soak in the tub, listen to an audiobook or watch the birds in the trees. Step back from engagements and cancel what you can. Bored? Do something new. Start a project that you LOVE. Take yourself on an adventure, crank up the music, meet friends or family for a shared meal, or carve out a few hours for yourself doing something that fills you up. Don’t think – DO!

Me? Harry Dog is finally eating a little, and feeling a smidge brighter, so I am one relieved Mumma.
I’ve scheduled some downtime too this week, to unpack more of my kitchen boxes, to wash my linen that is musty from being in storage, and to work on my own writing project. I’m also planning a Mother’s Day Lunch for my mum, so I am looking forward to flicking through my cookbooks to find inspiration. Feel free to share any favourite recipes with me. I am in the mood to make something new!

PS – Here’s Harry, gorgeous boy, as he recovers from surgery. We’re using a child’s playpen to keep him confined but still part of our living space.
For me this looks like a deep water creature, somehow she is opening up, she moves upward to the light. Things that have lain dormant for a long time will now come to the surface. Some kind of transformation. A waking up, a coming to life. Like a seed that starts to grow.
P.S. lately I tried a stracciatella raspberry tiramisu, it was so good.
