Inviting Stillness…

When I dance, I dance, when I sleep, I sleep; yes, and when I walk in a beautiful orchard , if my thoughts drift too far off matters for some part of the time, for some other part I led them back again to the walk, the orchard, the sweetness of this solitude, to myself.

~ Montaigne

Hey, Lovelies.

I have a busy weekend planned.

Today I’m conducting psychic readings and business coaching.

Tomorrow I’m running a channelled webinar for my Inner Circle members.

But amidst all of that I am also inviting stillness into  my life.

The more I work with high-energy and high-output things, the more I seek to balance that outpouring with quiet.

When I wake, after my morning meditation, I will sit alone in our bedroom in the treetops and gaze out over the forest. I will watch the birds wing their way through the cold bright dawn, and I will drink that peace in – letting it seep into my bones.

Between clients I have a favourite bench out in the garden. If it is not raining I will go there, and sit down with a cup of tea, my feet on the grass, grounding me and topping me back up with energy. It it is wet I will sit on the deck, cup of tea in hand, and watch the rain.

Before the sun sets I will take a walk in nature. Later, a long bath. Just quietly, no music, no audiobooks – just me, a candle-lit room, some scented hot water, and a lot of stillness.

Before I go to bed, some time in meditation with my Tibetan Singing Bowl. Between the reverberations of the bowl is stillness. As I let my mind travel outward or inward with the sound of the bowl I always find peace.

There’s a lot to be said for inviting moments of stillness into your life.

Stillness expands time.

Stillness restores and nourishes.

Stillness lets you sit in your Soul, instead of in your head.

Stillness, often, is one of my best coping strategies for whatever life deals me.

Creating stillness in your life is easier than you think. Take a moment, find a quiet corner of the world, sit down and breathe, and just let the world carry on around you. Be aware, but not involved.  Let your mind relax and let go.  Breathe. Relax. Be.

Wishing you stillness today, and peace in your heart.  Blessings and love to you, Nicole ♥ xx

When you lose touch with inner stillness, you lose touch with yourself. When you lose touch with yourself, you lose yourself in the world.

Your innermost sense of self, of who you are, is inseparable from stillness. This is the I Am that is deeper than name and form.
