Hello, Lovelies!
It’s my birthday today. I’ll be celebrating with Ben and the pups – breakfast out at a favourite cafe, a day of togetherness, and then an early birthday dinner down by the water.
There will be cake, and there will be naps. And there will be no work whatsoever, although there may be a spot of writing.
I feel so privileged to still be here, alive and functioning and mostly well enough to enjoy it all as a participant rather than simply an observer.
To age is a blessing, and I am grateful for every wrinkle, scar and grey hair.
Thanks for sharing the journey with me. It’s good to have you by my side.

I remember vividly that I found your blog while I was in one of my high school classrooms back in 2013 – so 10 (!) years ago – and how it was such a comfort for me to read before bedtime every night and such an inspiration to me.
