Creative Breakthroughs Ahead! – Monday Oracle 7 August 2017

Hello, Lovelies,

Has August got you humming yet? It’s a truly energising month! Here’s Monday’s oracle card, and my take on the energetic outlook for the week ahead. I use any cards shown as a prompt for channelled messages and my own intuitive wisdom, so my take is sometimes quite different to the meaning found in a book. ‘Creation’ is from the Chakra Wisdom Oracle Deck by Tori Hartman.

If you read my forecast for August, you’ll remember that August brings an emerging energy of creativity, emotional healing and an abiding need for more balance in our lives. 

Keep that in mind as we look at the gifts Creation brings us this week.

If you’ve had a project on the backburner, in the bottom drawer, mapped out on the backs of enveloped or tatty notebooks, or just floating around in your head, this is the week to restore it to life.

There’s inspiration in the air this week! In fact the air is ahum with fertility. (Great if you’re in the baby-making space, but if that’s not for you be extra cautious so as not to end up in the family way!) Expect new ideas, all manner of inspiration and unexpected connections to people and projects that will become increasingly important to you in the months ahead.

Always wanted to try your hand at writing, pottery, scrapbooking, baking, floral work, furniture restoration, chainsaw ice-sculpting? There’s no better time to sign up and begin.

It’s a blockbuster week for sorting out old problems and for breakthroughs that lead to permanent solutions. If you need to negotiate anything you’ll find this week’s energies conducive to cordial communication – there’s a spirit of openness and receptivity, even in those who usually don’t dwell there.

New ideas? This week they’ll come to you with meat on their bones instead of flimsy things you have no clue about what to do next with. Think J.K. Rowling and her initial Harry Potter inspiration…

Finally, it’s a week of heightened ESP. If you’re intuitive, empathic or energetically sensitive expect deeper connection in your meditations and spiritual practices. A wonderful week for all forms of giving and receiving energy work, readings and healings. Even people who don’t consider themselves intuitive will find a greater flow of wisdom and certainty this week.

Supportive crystals this week?

Nephrite Jade (Greenstone) is a stone that supports heart-centred living and emotional expression in life and in art. Carnelian energises and grounds the physical body and aids all forms of healing and creativity. Great for overcoming exhaustion and burnout. Orange Calcite for flow of creative ideas and for connected inspiration. Pearls for softening and opening our hearts to our art and true direction!

Helpful essential oils?

Sokli gave me this recipe ages ago. She calls it the Lucky Happy Magic Recipe and I find it marvellous for enhancing and supporting creativity. You’ll need Lavender 2 drops, Orange 4 drops, Ylang Ylang 4 drops, Sandalwood 3 drops. This recipe is one of my favourite essential oil blends to put in a diffuser or as a perfume or bath oil. I make up a little bottle of the mix and then I can add it to my bath or take it with me to inhale or wear. Always dilute in a little carrier oil before applying to skin, and remember that citrus oil should not be applied to any skin that will be in sunlight.

I choose to use Young Living essential oils because of their quality and energies. You can find all the oils here.

 

This week keep yourself open to possibility and make some time for creativity and inspiration – whatever that looks like for you. Holding you, as always, in my thoughts, prayers and meditations, and intending for a you a life of abundance and joy, where you are no longer limited by your doubts.

February Full Moon Eclipse Tonight – Plus a Colouring Mandala for You!

Tonight (Friday 10th through to Saturday 11th of February) is a full moon. It is also a lunar eclipse. And the heavens are host to a comet rocketing past us as it travels through the night sky.

Can you feel the energies this trio bring? This week you may have found yourself restless, anxious or unable to sleep. Old emotions of fear and doubt and not-good-enough may have raised their ugly heads.

You may have felt churned. You may have over-reacted. You may not have been quite yourself. You may have felt emotionally bruised and more than a little battered.

It’s okay. This lunar energy is strong!

Everything’s being stirred up. What’s no longer needed and what is ready to be healed or finally seen and understood is being brought to the surface.

Just behind all that fear and anxiousness is possibility. It’s also a great time for clear insights, inspiration and breakthroughs. It heralds a shift towards understanding and connection.

Some of you who’ve already done a lot of self-work will have felt excited this week. You’ll feel like finally you are back on track and able to gain some momentum for your projects, ideas and dreams. That’s wonderful. Thank you, Full Moon!

Remember to put your crystals out in the moonlight tonight for a cleanse and recharge. And if you can, take time to sit under the night sky and simply breathe. Breathe and let go of all of that old stuck emotion. Cry if you must. Howl at the moon.

Surrender.

Then come back to calm and breathe in hope. Breathe in possibility. Open yourself to change.

It’s a great time for journalling and self-reflection. I’ve also included a simple Meditation Mandala for you below. You can download and colour it as an act of mindfullness, healing and manifestation – today or in the next few days while the energies of the moon, comet and eclipse have influence.

Colouring Mandala and Crystal Grid

This mandala was created as one of the activities for our Year of ME Planner community. (It’s not too late to join. You can find out more here: Year of Me Planner Options)

You can download your Meditation Mandala here: February Mandala 2017

Print out the Mandala and consider what support you are seeking from the Universe this month around the energies of believing in yourself and your dreams, and making big changes in your life.  Where are you stuck? What’s not working, or where would you like additional support? What do you need help with?

Write your request in the space provided on the Mandala sheet.

Now colour your Mandala. Choose the colours that feel intuitively right for you. As you colour your Mandala, repeat the February affirmation which is written at the top of the Mandala. Feel the energy and truth of that affirmation for you. While you colour your Mandala think about this thing that you want support for, and how it would feel for this thing to be working well in your life.

Allow yourself to fill with love and positive emotion, or a sense of peace.

Emotion may come up for you as you colour. Allow it to surface and don’t judge it. Know that it is simply releasing and clearing for you.

When your Mandala is finished, place a crystal at the centre of the Mandala to make a simple grid. You may also make a pattern of additional stones, flowers, leaves or other small objects on top of your coloured Mandala if you wish. Go with what feels intuitively right for you.

Run white light from your hands down into the crystal and then out into the Mandala to activate it. Repeat your affirmation and your request to the Universe out loud as you do this. Finish by saying ‘And it is so’.

Leave your Mandala up for a minimum of 24 hours with the stone in place. Of course you’re welcome to leave it longer if you desire.

To deconstruct the Mandala remove the stone and offer a simple and heartfelt prayer of thanks.

PS – This month I also encourage you to download and colour a second mandala for the world as it goes through upheaval and change. Choose whatever stones feel right for the earth or the situation you want to support and work with. Know that your positive energy and intention as you create this world grid really helps to anchor love and light.

Welcome to the second week of these awesome November energies.

Here’s the oracle card I have chosen, and my take on the energetic outlook for the days ahead.

‘Existence’ is from the Osho Zen Tarot deck – and it heralds another fabulous week.

The week ahead is infused with supportive energies. There are all kinds of positive things coming our way, but we are also reminded to stay grounded in reality; honouring what is true and practical and real for us, even as we keep one eye firmly focused on our longer-term goals and our bigger dreams. We are reminded to keep showing up, to keep doing the work, and then in the doing magic will happen.

In the days ahead you’ll discover new perspectives. Inspiration will come in many forms, with lots of brand new ideas and a fresh take on old ideas and projects.

Expect to be delighted by new ways of thinking. Expect helpful people. Know that this week brings the kind of divine guidance that gifts us clarity, and the kind of synchronicity which delivers us blessings and miracles.

You’ll need to make sure that you write down or otherwise record these sudden ideas and flashes of inspiration because when they don’t come from you it is unlikely that you will remember them accurately if you don’t capture that wisdom straight away!

It’s also a super week for realising how you can collaborate with others in ways that encourage mutual and exponential success. Make those initial connections. Have those first discussions. This week sets the scene for so much of what will unfold in the coming year.

Remember to have adequate sleep, downtime and solitude this week too. It’s often in these quiet spaces that inspiration and guidance come to us.

Totally shattered with exhaustion as you start your week? Stop pushing on and rest first. Being well rested will invite flow and answers back into your life, lifting you from stuck back into momentum and clarity.

Last week I shared the story of how I brought my friend Carly’s magical Writing Talisman into being. A Talisman is a small spiritual object which has been created with love and infused with specific energies to help attract or achieve a certain outcome.

Made by my own hands from feathers found at my farm, and with the energies of Crow and Magpie, I crafted this Talisman to help Carly with her writing – so that she might be encouraged to share her personal story. The Talisman was an entreatment to go deeper, to be brave in sharing truth, at gifting this story in a way that might illuminate the way for others. I supported the energy of the feathers with banded red and black agate, bone, marble, black tourmaline, rosewood and a few chakra stones that support communication and flow of words.

I also had two other feathers, one from a Green Catbird and one from a Black Cockatoo. I knew that from them I would craft a second Talisman which I would give away to one of you, my dear readers.

But it didn’t feel complete until Madam Crow gifted me a third feather.

Now I shall shape these three beautiful feathers into something specific to you. I won’t actually finish my Talisman until I have chosen a winner. Then I will tune in to you and select the stones, beads and other embellishments that will hold and enhance the spiritual energies that I place into this Talisman, ready to gift those energies to you. It will be custom-made to your own energies and needs.

Introducing #GeShiDoMo – November’s answer to ending 2016 strong!

2016 is almost at a close, and 2017 is looming large on our horizon. The energy of 2017 will be all about growing – and if we plant the right kind of seeds now, in the lush soil of 2016, 2017 will unfold before us in brave, delightful and unexpected ways.

But we need to sow those seeds first.

One of the things I have recently come to love about November is NaNoWriMo. NaNoWriMo is National Novel Writing Month, which invites you to complete a 50 000 word manuscript draft in the thirty days of November. It’s insane, but also highly motivating, and there is great comfort and support in knowing that other equally mad people are also trying to crank out a crazy amount of words, and that you’re all in it together. I’ve completed several manuscripts during NaNoWriMo Novembers. It’s a great way to dedicate yourself in  a way that will produce an outcome.If you have young writers under seventeen in your household there is a place for them to join too – NaNoWRiMo Young Writers Program. (If you’re joining NaNoWriMo, come find me – my user name is ncwriter, and I’d love to be your buddy!)

No matter what my level of procrastination throughout the year, November has become a month where I know I will get words on the page.

But what if you’re not writing a novel? What if the thing you need to do is entirely unrelated to that but you love the idea of a dedicated month to work on a project?

Maybe you’ve got a goal you wanted to achieve, and now Christmas is almost here and you still haven’t made much progress. Perhaps you’ve got a To Do List as long as your arm, and nothing ticked off.

That, my friends, is why I have created #GeShiDoMo. #GeShiDoMo stands for Get Shit Done Month – and I am dedicating the month of November to #GeShiDoMo, so that we can arrive at December with a bunch of stuff ticked off and completed.

You might have One Big Thing, or a mass of smaller and unrelated things. It doesn’t matter what you want to get done – what matters is that you do it!

I’m launching the #GeShiDoMo program tomorrow, which will be delivered via Facebook, and because it’s online, no matter where you are you’ll be able to join in. There will be a link in my Shop, and all the details will be there for you.

The Energies of August – 2016

Hello, Lovelies :)

Welcome to August. August is a month for knowing ourselves, for bettering ourselves and for furthering ourselves. As we act from a place of self-awareness and personal clarity things will begin to fall into place for us. Sure, the actions we need to take and the decisions we must make may not be easy, but all of them shall be leading us very clearly in the direction of our choosing. No more drifting. It’s time to commit or to walk away. Time to stick with something, or to choose something new. Coasting this month, or waiting to see how things turn out will just lead to further stuckness and confusion.

In everything you do this month, do it for yourself and not to please or placate others!

August encourages us to own our Mastery and to work on deepening our knowledge and skills. We are better to specialise and to make one thing our own then to cast our nets widely and be a Jack or Jill Of All Trades.

Everyone has something that comes easily to them, or that they can do well. Often we discount that thing for the very reason that it came easily to us. In August don’t be so quick to talk down or overlook your natural gifts and talents. Is there anything you are ready to teach or share, even if it’s in the most small and humble of ways?

August brings awakening psychic energies, and a need for soul connection. It is also a month of unexpected magic, Universal assistance and breakthroughs.

There’s a flipside though. We are beginning to be aware of those areas of limitation – where we don’t naturally shine. August allows us to finally see that it’s our choice. We can work hard to build up those areas of weakness, or we can delegate them out to someone who does shine in that space, and who can complement and support our own gifts and talents.

The second card I’ve chosen is Yang. This card reminds me a little of the Good Witch Glinda in the Wizard of Oz, telling Dorothy that the power was in her all along.

You have a magic in you. Something that is your own personal superpower. Something you do in a way that makes this thing uniquely your own. But that power is no good unexpressed.

August is giving you every encouragement to get out of your own way and launch your dreams, your business, your art, your images, your thoughts, yourself into the world.

Roll up your sleeves and get to work. If you do, all kinds of good stuff can be unleashed, including support and synchronicities.

Maybe it’s time to set up your own Instagram or Pinterest account. Maybe it’s time to set up your Etsy store or your website. Maybe it’s time to teach or blog or craft or simply to wear your magical red shoes when everyone else’s shoes are sensible black.

Be you. Magnificently and unashamedly you.

 

Best crystals this month?

Aragonite Star Clusters are a nurturing stone that call back your scattered energy and help you to remain centred, grounded, clear and balanced, even as you radiate that focused energy outwards.

If you can’t find Aragonite, look for Septarian Nodules which have Aragonite as part of the conglomeration of this mixed stone. That’s an Aragonite Star Cluster in the photo below.

And this is a Septarian Nodule. The Aragonite is the dark brown mineral. Its companions are Golden Calcite and Siltstone.

Try this focus-enhancing diffuser blend of 3 drops of Rosemary, 3 drops of Basil, 3 drops of Orange and 2 drops of Lavender.  It’s fantastic for concentration, thinking and decision-making and for getting things done. I Will Not Be That Cranky Old Judgemental Lady!

Recently I blogged a list of ten things you probably didn’t know about me. To refresh your memory, here is number nine again:

My first entrepreneurial exercise was a stall selling lemonade and flowers out the front of our suburban home in Brisbane. I was eight and I got the idea from a Nancy Drew book (Nancy was a fictitious child sleuth in the USA, and my personal hero for a number of years!). We were never paid pocket-money as children, so it seemed like a good idea. I picked flowers from the garden and tied them into pretty bunches, mixed lemon juice, sugar and water into a big jug, wrote some signs and then sat there all day waiting to make a sale. Late in the afternoon the elderly neighbour from across the road came out her front door and crossed the street to my stall. I sat up expectantly. ‘Silly girl. Pack that up and go inside,’ she said. ‘We don’t do things like this in Australia.’ That night I prayed with all my might that I would wake up in America the next day. Obviously, that particular prayer was never answered.

Yesterday my husband and I drove into Bangalow from our little farm, so that we could buy a few supplies now that we are home again after our time away.

Our farm is at the bottom of a very long dead-end gravel road, and on that road there are only eight houses. As we drove up the road two kids jumped up from a seated position on the grass in the afternoon sun and began brandishing oranges at us. It was an odd thing to do, and we’ve driven right past them before I worked out what it was all about.

“I think they’re having some kind of roadside stall,” I said to Ben. “We’d better stop on the way home and buy some of whatever they’ve got.  I like to support budding entrepreneurs.”

A big goofy grin broke out all over my face. The likelihood of there being any customers for the boys’ stall was practically zip. But here they were, enterprising and hopeful. How could I not stop?

After we picked up what we needed in town we headed home, and sure enough the boys were still sitting there. But now they had dragged out a bench and table, and there were three of them.

Of course we pulled over.

The enterprising brothers and a visiting friend had picked fruit from their backyard trees – oranges, limes, grapefruit and mandarins (clementines). These are actually pretty hard-sell items in our neck of the woods. Everyone around here has groaningly full citrus trees right now, including us.

They’d also made some artworks to sell – felt-pen pictures on the backs of printed pages they had recycled.

I bought 12 fruit for $3 and secured a lovely artwork for a forty cent donation – plus I got to shake hands with the artist (who blushed madly but couldn’t stop smiling!).

Back at home I put the fruit in my bowl, and secured my new art to the fridge door with magnets. There is no way I will ever become a cranky judgemental old lady like the one who tried to crush my own lemonade stand dreams.

Long live the entrepreneurial spirit!
