Some Ideas For A Christmas That Won’t Cost The Earth

“Because normal human activity is worse for nature than the greatest nuclear accident in history.”
~ Martin Cruz Smith

Hello, Lovelies!
I’m blogging this morning with fire in my heart. 2019’s energies are nearly here (they actually kick in on December 26) and among other things the energy of 2019 supports conscious engagement with the environment, so let’s start by doing our best to have a more conscious Christmas and then flow that effort into all we do in the coming year, and for the rest of our lives.

Here are my top tips for a Festive Season that doesn’t have to cost the Earth:

1. Get Thrifty and Re-Use – Choose quality over quantity. Create a box in which to store all of your decorations. Re-use them every year. Use the same tree (if it’s not a real one), the same tinsel, the same ornaments. Stop buying new ones. Just stop. You don’t have to compete with what all the advertising and Better Homes shows tell you. At Christmas task someone to save all of the re-usable ribbons, bows and other paper or packaging. Store them too and re-use them throughout the year when you wrap other gifts. Keep postal packaging and useable bubble wrap and plastic and re-use it. Stop feeling like everything has to be new. That’s so last century!

2. Consciously Avoid Plastic – Stop feeling virtuous about recycling and just stop buying plastic. Especially as throw-away or short-time use gifts. As of 2017 there were over 8.3 billion tonnes of plastic in the world. Once created only about 9% is recycled, but even recycling doesn’t remove plastic from our environment – it just gets converted to other plastic products. So much of plastic is designed for single use, or to be discarded. Then it ends up in landfill or our waterways, where it pollutes our fresh drinking water or breaks down into smaller particles, killing wildlife and eventually entering our own bloodstreams from the food and water we consume. JUST STOP using glitter, party balloons, plastic holiday banners, plastic plates and cutlery and cheap plastic ornaments. In 2017 there was enough discarded plastic in the world TO COMPLETELY COVER A COUNTRY THE SIZE OF ARGENTINA. Yes, I am shouting. Imagine where you live completely covered in plastic. Now understand that it’s already happened and it’s up to us to start making different choices.

3. Choose Gifts With The Planet In Mind – (Did I mention avoid plastic?) Please don’t choose gag gifts that will create a laugh and then end up in landfill within the first week. Think about the life of your gift after you give it and the impact it will have on the environment. Experiences are great. Think movies or adventures. Food, wine, books, a houseplant. A subscription. Items that last such as jewellery. Hand-crafted items. Ceramics, glass, wood, metal, paper and card. Consumables in thoughtful packaging. Time together. Sharing meals and moments. Knowledge, courses, online courses. Gifts that help others live mindfully on the earth are great too, such as keep-cups for their coffee or metal lunch boxes.

4. Wrap Your Gifts Mindfully – Use a new tea-towel and some fabric ribbon or string, use flowers, use a glass jar with a lid, use a beeswax impregnated cloth that your gift recipient can then use instead of plastic wrap in the kitchen. Find some vintage tins or canisters at the local thrift shop. Use lengths of fabric. Use paper. If using ribbon make sure that it is fabric, not plastic. Re-use packaging and ribbon you’ve received previously, including florist decorations and plastics.

5. Buy Your Festive Food At the Farmers Markets – It’s local, it’s fresh, and there will be much less packaging. Also think about using your own containers or conscious environmental choices and go to bulk stores for as much as you can, so that you can avoid generating more use-once plastic food packaging.

6. Make Or Bake Some Of Your Gifts – There are so many good ideas for this, and it can be a fun family activity or one you look forward to. Crafting and making things is good for our soul. Not your scene at all? Buy from someone who loves to make and bake. Problem sorted!

7. Teach Your Kids That It Actually IS The Thought That Counts – a return to some old-fashioned values about giving and receiving and manners is not such a bad thing…

8. Stop Competing With and Judging Yourself By Advertising and Reality TV – It’s okay to re-use. You don’t need a new outfit. You don’t have to be ‘seasonal’, ‘fashionable’ or ‘cutting edge’. You don’t need a constant flow of new stuff. That’s all just consumerism. Live by your own values and standards and feel good about that.

9. Don’t Go Into Debt For Christmas – Especially don’t go into debt to impress other people. Let’s live with more honesty. Stop putting all that pressure on yourself and on others with these crazy holiday season expectations.

10. Make Do – It’s an expression your grandparents probably used but it’s not so common these days. What can you re-purpose? Does it matter if you have to use the camping table in the loungeroom covered with a green sheet to make enough seating space for all the kids? How cute can you make a fallen branch look for a Christmas Tree with some homemade decorations?

The Lady And The Poet

“Once, poets were magicians. Poets were strong, stronger than warriors or kings — stronger than old hapless gods. And they will be strong once again.”
Greg Bear

I’m in Adelaide for a conference this weekend. The event began with welcome drinks at our hotel last night, but I was feeling tired and poorly and wanted soup, so I snuck out the main doors thirty minutes before our event began, hoping to find something more comforting than alcohol and strangers. It was my birthday on Thursday, and I’ve spent the last few days reflecting on my life and sitting in meditation and prayer as I asked for clarity about my road ahead. I wanted to prolong this soulful space just a little longer, so I honoured that need and heeded my intuition by heading out into the night.

As I wandered up the city street a man called to me. He was sitting on a small ledge outside a closed shop, rugged up against the cold. In his hands was an upturned empty cap, immediately marking him as some kind of busker or beggar.

‘Can I offer you a poem?’ he said.

I apologised and explained that I was in need of soup. But I promised him I would stop on the way back. As I walked off I saw his look of resignation, and I knew he’d been told such things many times before by people who hadn’t come back.

A block further along I found an excellent soup and dumpling house, ate a bowl of steaming oily broth with wontons and bok choy floating in the silky liquid, and then made my way back out into the busy Friday night streets.

I stopped in front of the poet, who was stooped and huddled on his seat. ‘I’m ready for that poem,’ I told him.

He sat up straighter. ‘This one is about the drought,’ he said, ‘and a message of hope and rain for our farmers.’ After which he launched into his poem.

He spoke eloquently, dramatically. It was a performance filled with emotion and delivered with care. I have long been a lover of poetry, and this one moved me deeply. It took me to the heart of my country. Within the words I also felt a strong message of hope for my own life – the symbolism a gift threaded with a secret meaning I was sure was just for me.

When the poem ended I stood for a moment, still wrapped in the imagery and sentiment wrought by his words. Then I reached for some coins.

‘Did you write that yourself?’ I asked as I fumbled in my handbag.

‘Yes’.

As I zipped open my purse I saw smaller notes, a handful of coins and tucked away right at the back my ’emergency hundred’ – a green crisp $100 note that I carry in case I am ever in need of a larger sum of money at short notice.

I thought about my capacity to earn money, and how much my work is valued in the world. And I thought about the poet, sitting on a cold city street, hoping to trade his words for coins.

It seemed inequitable. The poet had shared something original and good. Something that had given me insights and meaning and unexpected value. I reached for my emergency hundred and handed it to the poet.

He gazed at the note in his hands, then up to me, and then back to the note.

A tear came to his eye.

He tried to give it back to me. ‘Haven’t you got something smaller?’ he said. “I don’t mind if you give me something smaller.’

‘It’s fine,’ I said. ‘Please. Take it. I want you to know that I value your work. I value the gift of the poem you gave me tonight. It would mean a lot to me for you to accept my gift in return.’

He nodded, his eyes downcast. Silent.

Finally, he looked up.

‘What’s your name?’ I asked.

‘Justin,’ he said. ‘And you, you’re a true lady. Thank you, my lady.’

I walked away with a full heart.

How To Be A Traveller In Your Own Hometown.

“Our battered suitcases were piled on the sidewalk again; we had longer ways to go. But no matter, the road is life.” – Jack Kerouac

Hello, Lovelies,

This week’s energies support all kinds of travel, adventure and fun. Which is great if you happen to be on holidays or have plenty of free time up your sleeve to whisk yourself away at short notice. But what if you don’t? Try these solutions instead.

Happy Adventuring!

Lots of love, Nicole ❤ xx

1. Drive a new route to work, or anywhere else you normally travel in a routine way. This gives you the chance to see new things, and to stimulate your mind.

2. Eat out somewhere new. Try a cuisine that’s new to you. Try an ethnic place, or a tiny hole-in-the-wall Mom and Pop place, or that brewhouse or pizza place you’ve been meaning to try for ages but never got around to.

3. Be a tourist in your hometown. Go do the things you’d do if you were showing international visitors around. I bet you haven’t been to some of those attractions or destinations in a very long time, if at all. Trip Advisor can be your best friend here.

4. Wander around the city, or a shopping mall you haven’t been to before. Give yourself time to stroll, and to enjoy everything you see.

5. Visit a Farmers Market or a Food Hall. Buy something new and interesting to cook for dinner.

6. Tune your car radio to another station, or shake up your usual music mix. Sing a little. Dance if you feel inclined.

7. Go on a train trip, bus trip or ferry ride. It doesn’t matter where you go. Use the time to look around and see new things. Disembark and go for a stroll. Hop back on and go home again.

8. Check out what free exhibitions and concerts are on in your hometown. Museums, art galleries, public libraries and universities often have the coolest free stuff. Go visit one!

9. Pack a picnic lunch and go to the local park. Invite some friends. Take a frisbee, a football, or some music. Hang out, laugh and enjoy yourself.

10. Have a themed meal at home. Choose a cuisine or a destination anywhere in the world. Invite a few friends or family. Choose some food and music. Ask everyone to bring a plate if that’s easier. Add an extra something for yourself and your guests in the way of entertainment. Maybe everyone needs to dress ‘Tropical’ or ‘Italian’. Maybe it’s charades or a singalong. Or a crazy boardgame. Have fun with it. Party!

Calling All Lightworkers! – Monday Oracle 13 August 2018

“When you wish upon a star
Makes no difference who you are
Anything your heart desires
Will come to you…

~  Leigh Harline and Ned Washington, Pinocchio (1940)

Hello, Lovelies!

August is here, bringing a delicious basket of delights. It’s a month for creativity in all forms and for getting back into the flow of life again. You’ll find a lift in your mood and a clear road ahead so get ready to make the most of the opportunities all around you.Keep that in mind as we look at the gifts of inspiration which the oracle card  Wishing Upon A Star brings us.

Wishing Upon A Star is a sign that a special wish or dream may soon be fulfilled. It’s a sign of favourable conditions and good outcomes. Whatever it is you are hoping for, there is positive shift and progress ahead! Use this week to get clear about your life vision. If you need help with that try the activities in this post.

It’s a call to the Lightworkers of the world to add their prayers and positive vibration to the stream of light that is already uplifting and healing humanity and the earth. It’s about us needing to be the answer and the change that we are looking for. What can you do this week to radiate love, light and compassion into the world? How can you uplift and support others? How can you nurture and protect Mother Earth? Lightworkers, I’m calling on you this week to add your energy to mine, and to help wherever you can!

We are in a week of strong intuitive energy, so psychic connection, healing work and all forms of spiritual and personal development are well supported.

It’s also a week that is well aspected for pregnancy. Great news if this is what you are working towards, but if it isn’? Remember to take precautions!

Supportive crystals this week?

Ruby Zoisite (pictured) is a stone of transformation, helping you to be empowered in your life. It elevates your confidence and authority, and improves fertility, imagination and innovation. Carnelian dispels doubt and negativity, strengthening self-esteem, confidence and creativity. Labradorite encourages self-care, supports empathy and intuition, and is a gentle and reassuring stone for developing psychic ability. Sunstone helps you to sit in a place of abundance thinking so that you see the blessings and possibilities in life and to believe in your right to a better future.

Helpful essential oils?

Hands down it’s Grapefruit this week. This sweet, citrusy and uplifting oil freshens your auric field, clears your emotional body of lower vibrations and quells feelings of addiction, especially to sugar and carbs. It also enhances clarity and soul connection.

Apply it to your pulse points at wrist, neck and over heart like a perfume. Place a few drops in your bath water. Diffuse it. One of my favourite uses is as an uplifting and happy-making moment on a stressful day. Put a drop in the palm of your hand, rub hands together and then inhale the aroma. (Here’s a simple three-minute meditation you can do using geranium or any of your favourite essential oils – click here)

Need an extra boost of encouragement? Try Young Living’s Believe essential oil blend. It’s fabulous in your diffuser while you work, or as a quick pick-me-up with a three-minute meditation. Believe is uplifting and promotes confidence, spiritual connection, clarity and belief in ourselves. It also helps us to let go of fear, doubt and old emotional pain and hurt.  I often use this oil when I am creating, writing or journalling, or working with cards for myself.

You can find the oils here.

Holding you, as always, in my thoughts, prayers and meditations, and intending for you a life of abundance and joy, where you are no longer limited by your doubts.

All my love,

Nicole ❤ xx

PS: Monday’s oracle card, Wishing Upon A Star’, is from the Inner Child Cards – A Fairy-Tale Tarot. I use any cards shown as a prompt for channelled messages and my own own intuitive wisdom, so my take is sometimes quite different to the meaning found in a book.

Energies of August – 2018

“Without leaps of imagination or dreaming, we lose the excitement of possibilities. Dreaming, after all is a form of planning.”
~ Gloria Steinem

Hello, Lovelies :)

August is here, bringing a delicious basket of delights. It’s a month for creativity in all forms and for getting back into the flow of life again. You’ll find a lift in your mood and a clear road ahead so get ready to make the most of the opportunities all around you.

Cards for the Month:

I’ve chosen two cards for August for you: one from Colette Baron-Reid’s Enchanted Map and one from Steven Farmer’s Earth Magic Oracle. Please note I don’t use these cards in a conventional way, but rather as a stimulus for channeled information.

Here is what I have received from each card:

“You are essentially who you create yourself to be and all that occurs in your life is the result of your own making.”
~  Stephen Richards

Could there be a bigger month for creative energies in 2018? I don’t think so! In August
we step into a virtual river of inspiration and ideas. Opportunities and synchronicities
appear out of thin air. Stuckness dissolves and we are able to take huge leaps forward
with ease and grace.

We’re empowered to make decisions and to instigate great change this month.

We feel comfortable to be in a position of authority in our own lives, and our intuition shows us solutions to problems that have puzzled us for months or even years.

Suddenly the answers are obvious and the timing is right.

The second card I’ve chosen is Spring Equinox.

“You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.”
~Maya Angelou

It’s a wonderful month for taking lessons in anything to do with the arts, languages or
practical creativity – such as cooking or pottery.

We’ll find talents we weren’t even aware of and our intuition will guide us towards satisfying new hobbies and interests.

For some people they will find the creative, social or business idea that will be their
legacy. For others it will be time to step into the role of wizard, teacher or mentor within
their community, or to create a community where none exists.

It’s a month for creativity, spirituality, mysticism, shamanism, profound thinking and
revelation, gifted and channelled wisdom and insights and all kinds of deeper psychic
connection and inner journeying work.

Best crystals this month?

Carnelian and Ruby Zoisite

Carnelian improves physical energy, detoxifies the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies, and helps to boost and rebalance hormones and digestion. It also dispels self-doubt and negativity, strengthening self-esteem, confidence and creativity.

Ruby Zoisite is a stone of transformation, helping you to be empowered in your life. It elevates your confidence and authority and improves fertility, imagination and innovation.

Essential oils to support your journey?

Young Living’s Believe blend is my choice for August. Containing Ylang-Ylang, Idaho Blasalm Fir, Frankincense, Geranium, Idaho Blue Spruce, Coriander, and Bergamot it has a fresh, uplifting aroma and I find it very grounding and centering. I love this oil for helping me get into a space of self-belief, empowerment and flow. And gee it gets the creative juices flowing! When I am planning my life, visualising my future or working on a project that is important to me Believe is my go-to oil. Usage: A drop over your heart and on your wrists as a perfume and/or on crown of head, back of neck and behind ears work well. So does diffusing the oil. It’s instantly grounding and connecting, and it brings a sense of peace, certainty and confidence.

Want to make your own blend? Each of the following oils will work beautifully on their own but they’ll also make a great combination for diffusing. Bergamot is uplifting, busts stress and helps us overcome self-doubt. Frankincense elevates our mood and promotes spiritual connection and intuition, Ylang-Ylang opens our hearts and minds,  and it helps us to feel deserving and open to abundance, Spruce is a deeply spiritual oil – holding the wisdom of the forest it links our lefts and right brain bringing balance, calm and centering.  To diffuse add 2 or three drops of each oil to your room or personal diffuser. You can find the oils here.

A Week For Hope And Good Outcomes – Monday Oracle 16 July 2018

“Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.” ~ Harriet Tubman

Hello, Lovelies!

July’s energies are so heart-full! They are all about love and togetherness. Make sure you find time for the people and things you love in July, and if you’re looking for love know that this is a very supportive month for starting new relationships. Keep that in mind as we look at the gifts of inspiration which the oracle card Jack and the Beanstalk brings us.

Jack and The Beanstalk gifts us messages of hope, good outcomes and of surrendering to a higher power.
We have a chance to overcome our problems this week, especially if we get a little help from someone who has walked that same road and who knows what to be aware of and how to best proceed.
Jack and The Beanstalk reminds us about the unexpected gifts we can find when we follow new roads with a sense of curiosity – even when we don’t know where the road might lead or what our outcome will be. Embracing a spirit of trust and adventure is helpful this week and will serve us well.
There is a sense of things turning a corner for us, of improvements and breakthroughs coming our way. Because this is a month of love it also heralds breakthroughs in our communications with loved ones, solutions and breakthroughs where communication has broken down or hit an impasse, and new opportunities coming our way in love, especially in unexpected ways.
It’s also a strong week for fertility and all forms of creativity, and for planting the little tiny seeds of dreams that can one day grow into something strong and good and true.

Supportive crystals this week?

Rose Quartz is a stone of love and nurture – it helps you to be open to the giving
and receiving of love. Yellow Obsidian is a gently shielding stone that helps you to think clearly and to break patterns of self-criticism and negative thinking. It aids in looking for positive solutions to life’s dilemmas and for embracing change. Smoky Quartz opens you to new possibilities and ideas and amplifies your inner voice.  Sodalite (pictured) will help you express your personal truth and creative energy in thoughts, words and actions.

Helpful essential oils?

Young Living has a blend called Release which is perfect for this week’s energies. It is an uplifting and nurturing blend of Ylang Ylang, Lavandin, Geranium, Royal Hawaiian Sandalwood, Grapefruit, Tangerine, Spearmint, Lemon, Blue Cypress, Davana, Lime, Ocotea, Jasmine, Matricaria, Blue Tansy, and Rose. It’s an essential oil we use on our retreats to help participants let go of emotional trauma, negative thoughts and beliefs, and old energies and emotions that have become stuck. I love it. It’s like an energetic broom to sweep away the dust and cobwebs, leaving you feeling clean, grounded and ready for what comes next.

Apply it to your pulse points at wrist, neck and over heart like a perfume. Place a few drops in your bath water. Diffuse it. One of my favourite uses is as a centering and reconnecting pick-me-up. Put a drop in the palm of your hand, rub hands together and then inhale the aroma. (Here’s a simple three-minute meditation you can do using any of your favourite essential oils – click here)

If you can’t get hold of Release then use any of Rose, Jasmine, Geranium or Blue Cypress this week.

I’m holding a Channelling and Guided Meditation Evening from 6 to 9pm at The Yoga Centre, Adelaide tonight.

Come along and meet some of my Guides and energetic companions (including some fairy friends!). They will share information about a range of topics, as well as answering questions from the audience. I rarely conduct channelling sessions outside my retreats, so this is a very special offering. I’ll also be running a Guided Meditation Session to help you with Healing, Connection and Direction.

I’ll be channelling my guides and some fairy friends who’ll be discussing:

  • The differences between Angels and Fairies, and how to call on them

Channelling Night With Nicole Cody – Tickets

Holding you, as always, in my thoughts, prayers and meditations, and intending for you a life of abundance and joy, where you are no longer limited by your doubts.

All my love,

Nicole ❤ xx

PS: Monday’s oracle card, ‘Jack and Beanstalk’, is from the Inner Child Cards – A Fairy-Tale Tarot. I use any cards shown as a prompt for channelled messages and my own own intuitive wisdom, so my take is sometimes quite different to the meaning found in a book.

Are You Making Time To Learn And Grow?

“The best thing for being sad,” replied Merlin, beginning to puff and blow, “is to learn something. That’s the only thing that never fails. You may grow old and trembling in your anatomies, you may lie awake at night listening to the disorder of your veins, you may miss your only love, you may see the world about you devastated by evil lunatics, or know your honour trampled in the sewers of baser minds. There is only one thing for it then — to learn. Learn why the world wags and what wags it. That is the only thing which the mind can never exhaust, never alienate, never be tortured by, never fear or distrust, and never dream of regretting. Learning is the only thing for you. Look what a lot of things there are to learn.”

Ben and I are off to attend a three-day conference today, as part of our professional development. Three big days of learning, discussing ideas, and meeting new people.

We make it a point to find a couple of learning events every year. Sometimes about business, sometimes about the state of the world, sometimes about health or culture or some other thing that piques our interest.

From worm farming to real estate investment to World War Two history to green smoothies to straw bale building technology we’ve dipped our toe in the water. Staying curious isn’t hard with such a smorgasbord of topics on offer.

Learning opens us up to new ways of thinking. It gives us fresh topics for discussion and it often triggers further searches for related information.

One of the wonders of our modern world is that learning is so accessible. Sure, we can travel in person to a conference or a lecture. But we can also live-stream an online summit, join a webinar or online course, attend a festival, watch a youtube video or TED talk, listen to an excellent radio program or podcast, join an online forum or mailing list, or read a book.

How about you?

Are you creating space for learning in your life? What is fascinating or deeply engaging you right now? I’d love to know, so let me know in the comments here or over on facebook.

Sending love your way, Nicole  xx

PS – Want to dip your toe in the water of my world? Come join me for our Channelling and Guided Meditation Evening, or for one of my workshops over the weekend of May 25-27 here in Brisbane, Australia. I’ll be teaching foundation spiritual practices, meditation and mala making. No matter what level you’re at I’ll have something for you on my program. More details here!

The Energies of March– 2018

Don’t you ever let a soul in the world tell you that you can’t be exactly who you are.”
~  Lady Gaga

Hello, Lovelies :)

March is a month for relationships, commitment to what matters to us, and for being unapologetically ourselves. The more we stay true to ourselves in March the more we will be able to manifest profound and/or quite magical changes!

Cards for the Month:

I’ve chosen two cards for March for you: one from Colette Baron-Reid’s The Enchanted Map and one from Steven Farmer’s Earth Magic Oracle. Please note I don’t use these cards in a conventional way, but rather as a stimulus for channeled information.

Here is what I have received from each card:

“At the center of your being
you have the answer;
you know who you are
and you know what you want.”
~ Lao Tzu

March is a month for rediscovering ourselves and owning who we are without apology. It’s great for examining or creating our plans, goals and dreams, and for exploring our relationships with ourselves and others. Really dive deep this month with your journaling and planning.

Ask yourself the big questions about how you feel about things, what you believe in and what you stand for. Don’t be surprised to find that your views have shifted since the last time you checked in with yourself. It’s a month of strengthening confidence about our life or business direction, and for feeling ready to share our ideas, gifts or talents in bigger ways.

The second card I’ve chosen is LOTUS FLOWER.

A flower blooming in the desert proves to the world that adversity, no matter how great, can be overcome.
~ Matshona Dhliwayo

March is a relationship-centred month. Love and friendships can blossom in March, so make sure that you have time for socialising and for spending time with friends, family or your love interest. It’s also a strong month for fertility and creativity, so take that into account in your planning. Anything you want to grow will grow well in March – babies, gardens, projects, hobbies, new ideas. Nurture them and sing them into being.

Finally, March is a month for getting off the fence, committing to what matters to you and stepping back from the things and relationships about which you are indifferent or out of synch. Commit to the things that you want to make work and that you care about – the relationship, the health plan, the writers’ group, the local environment campaign, the business you want to start or need to build on, or whatever else is your thing. If you’re not sure what you want to do use this month to get clarity. You will!

Best crystals this month?

Amazonite and Clear Quartz

Amazonite helps you to stand in your power and be brave in putting yourself and your ideas out into the world.

Clear Quartz amplifies your intuition and your ability to tune in to Universal and Personal Wisdom.

Essential oils to support your journey?

Young Living’s Abundance blend is my choice for March. Containing orange, patchouli, frankincense, clove, ginger, myrhh, cinnamon and spruce it has a rich spicy aroma and I find it very grounding and centering. I love this oil for helping me get into a space of allowing, receiving and flow. If ever I feel out of sorts, unworthy, undeserving or out of alignment Abundance is my go-to oil. Usage: A drop over your heart and on your wrists as a perfume and/or on crown of head, back of neck and behind ears work well. So does diffusing the oil of putting a few drops in your bath water.

Want to make your own blend? Each of the following oils will work beautifully on their own but they’ll also make a great combination for diffusing. Orange is uplifting, busts stress and helps us overcome self-doubt. Frankincense elevates our mood and promotes spiritual connection and intuition, Patchouli reduces inflammation and stress in the body and it helps us to feel deserving and open to abundance, Myrhh is a deeply spiritual oil – it’s a resin with a smoky sweet and slightly bitter smell which helps link our left and right brain bringing balance, calm and centering.  (Frankincense and Myrrh are said to be two of the three gifts brought by the three wise men to the baby Jesus, the third gift being gold.) To diffuse add 2 or three drops of each oil to your room or personal diffuser. You can find the oils here.
