Your hand opens and closes, opens and closes. If it were always a fist or always stretched open, you would be paralysed. Your deepest presence is in every small contracting and expanding, the two as beautifully balanced and coordinated as birds’ wings.

October brings energies that support you moving into better alignment with your inner world, values, beliefs, talents, gifts and dreams.
This week TWO OF PENTACLES supports you to actively seek balance in your life. It’s a week for self-awareness, for checking in with yourself, and making sure that your needs, wants and desires are catered for – no matter how busy you are.
You’ll find increased motivation to work on tasks or projects for yourself, as well as allocating resources to your needs and dreams. You’ll also appreciate the benefits of finding time for pleasure and relaxation, as well as hobbies and interests.
You can’t work all the time. You can’t spend your life on the couch. You can’t surf the web all the time. You can’t spend your life disconnected. You can’t eat everything, as much as you want, all the time. You can’t spend your life counting every calorie. In everything there needs to be balance. So, tune in. What do you need more of? What do you need less of? Trust that the wisdom is already within you to make wise and informed choices.
Remember the importance of setting time aside for yourself – don’t let your days be eaten up by duty, obligation and supporting others at the expense of yourself.
Balance and sustainability aren’t meant to be intellectual concepts – they are intended to be lived experiences, but creating them starts with you!
This is also a powerful week for addressing addictions and habits that are destructive or limiting. It’s time to make better choices, and the Universe is cheering you on.

Pull some cards for the month ahead to give you direction, and then pull a card for the week. Use them to guide you, and to help you find clarity and support. It’s a great month for intuition and spiritual growth!

My big news for this last week?
I made an amazing cake! It’s the cake I had intended to make for my birthday, but back then I was really unwell, and on a limited diet. The cake I chose? A blueberry cake with lemon cream cheese frosting. (You can get the recipe here: Nagi’s Blueberry Cake With Lemon Frosting)
It was moist, fluffy and delicious, and Nagi’s blog RecipeTinEats takes you through every step so even a beginner can have confidence making this. I made a few little tweaks of my own, including adding a thin layer of jam with the frosting layers between the cakes, and making white chocolate bark with fairy sprinkles to decorate the top and sides. This is what it looked like:
This week I’m working with clients and doing some coaching later in the week, but the first part of this week is all course and content planning and creation for 2023. It feels so good to be back at my desk and creating again.
Of course, this will all be interspersed with beach walks, care of my secret garden, and plenty of naps. Without naps, I am nothing!!!

I am learning to appreciate naps! I also LOVE Nagi and RecipeTinEats. I don’t care for cooking but her recipes and videos make me look great at it!
I didn’t have a cake 🍰 on my birthday either and was a bit sad my ids didn’t make it get one on the day So I might have to make my own to that one looks delicious and two of my favourites blueberries 🫐 and lemon cream cheese icing YumO So Glad you are feeling better and enjoying cake 🎂
