Platypus Dreaming

I have a special place down on the river where I go to meditate sometimes. I walked down there this morning, just as the sky was softening with the first gentle fingers of light.  There were still stars twinkling in the sky, and the cows called to me as I walked by.

I settled down on my rock, and was just about to close my eyes when the calm surface of the water broke. A curious creature emerged from the ripples right in front of me.

So this morning my meditation was actually an observation of Mr and Mrs Platypus, who live in a burrow in the riverbank just below my meditation spot.

I love these funny-faced, playful animals.  They make me feel much less strange in the world.  Wishing you a peaceful day. xx

Hi! I'm Nicole Cody. I am a writer, psychic, metaphysical teacher and organic farmer. I love to read, cook, walk on the beach, dance in the rain and grow things. Sometimes, to entertain my cows, I dance in my gumboots. Gumboot dancing is very under-rated.

  1. Have a wonderfully refreshing and relaxing holiday. You do so much for others-time for you. I have started your 30 Day Gratitude Challenge and it feels sooo much better than the Magic Book. So even while you take some time to care for you, know that you are still inspiring us everyday with all that you have already written and the beautiful photos you have shared.
I don’t even know how to thank you Nicole for what you have done and shared and the love that keeps pouring out of your heart. We are very blessed to have such a wonderful and Divine teacher in our lives. All my love to you and a big big hug,OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

  2. WOW – you must live near some amazingly clear water and environment – the Platypus is renowned for being super sensitive and doesn’t just set up house anywhere…. well that and YOU’RE there – they know a thing or two those gorgeous funny faced things! Much love to you ALL! XXX
