“Go back and take care of yourself. Your body needs you, your perceptions need you, your feeling needs you. The wounded child in you needs you. Your suffering needs you to acknowledge it.”

Hello, Lovelies!
This Quarter I am using the The Rooted Woman Oracle by Sharon Blackie, illustrated by Hannah Willow, for my weekly oracle readings.
Our card to guide us for the week ahead is THE BURIED MOON – The Hidden Feminine.
2025 is a year for pattern breaking, deep healing, mysticism and new directions.
July energies are all about healing yourself; body, mind and spirit. It’s time to make yourself a priority, and to attend to whatever is needed for your healing journey. July is also a month of heightened energetic sensitivity and intuition.
🌙 Unburying the Moon: Healing the Hidden Feminine
This week, our card THE BURIED MOON – The Hidden Feminine brings a tender yet powerful message. In our ongoing July journey of HEAL YOURSELF, this week’s energies ask us to go deep — to soften, to feel, to listen, and to honour what’s long been buried within us.
This is soul medicine. Gentle. Quiet. Transformative.
Main Message:
The Buried Moon speaks to what has been hidden, hushed, or suppressed — especially around the feminine: our emotions, our intuition, our nurturing selves, our wounds from childhood, and our experiences of being mothered or of mothering others.
💔 If you carry wounds from your own mother or childhood…
💔 If your mother is no longer here, or was never emotionally present…
💔 If you have longed for motherhood, or carried guilt, grief, or complexity around your own path…
This week is a safe invitation to begin the healing.
This card does not ask you to “move on” or “get over it.”
It simply asks you to witness yourself with compassion. To acknowledge what hurts. To hold space for tenderness and truth.
It also calls you to rise.
🌿 Rise into a new way of caring for yourself.
🌿 Rise into honouring your wisdom and worth.
🌿 Rise into mothering your own soul — fiercely, lovingly, fully.
The feminine is not weakness. It is strength born of softness. It is clarity born of deep feeling.
It is your ability to nurture yourself back to life.
Practical Suggestions for the Week:
-
Create a Self-Mothering Practice: Each day this week, ask yourself: What do I need today to feel safe, supported, and seen? Then do your best to give that to yourself — even in a small way.
-
Light a Candle for Your Lineage: Whether your relationship with your mother is strong, strained, or absent, light a candle in honour of the women who came before you. Offer them love and healing — and offer it to yourself too.
-
Journal to Reconnect with the Hidden Feminine: Ask: What emotions or needs have I buried? What would it feel like to let them breathe?
Journal Prompt:
How can I begin to mother myself with more kindness, patience, and unconditional love?
Remember, you are worthy of every drop of love, healing, and care. 💛 Trust that your wise inner self knows how to nurture and guide you in the days ahead.
🌟 Top Tip of the Week:
Mother yourself the way you’ve always needed to be mothered — with gentleness, presence, and fierce love. You’re not too much. You’re not too broken. You’re becoming whole.
This week, try:
💗 Placing your hand on your heart and saying, “I’m here for you. I’ve got you now.”
🫖 Making a small moment sacred—like preparing a warm drink or lighting a candle—and treating it like a loving ritual just for you.
📖 Journaling this prompt: “What would a wise, loving mother say to me right now?”

Ben and I are in Adelaide this week, catching up with family and friends, and spending quality time together. I’ve been hanging out in bookstores (Especially the ones with old books! I’ve found books for research, and another gritty Bukoski book of poems to dip into as I contemplate the bigger questions of life.), eating delicious food, and drinking good coffee and chai lattes. I’ve managed naps, and writing time too.
I’ve dreamt stories, including ones I have needed to put aside because of work or illness. Oh, the joy of those unbidden dreams with their fragments of useful and inspiring narrative.
It’s been heaven, especially having this break from my Lyme drugs. When I was deep in the trenches I didn’t see all of the consequences of these heavy-duty meds because I was so focused on just getting through each day. I have one more week to enjoy of better sleep, food tasting like food without the weird aftertaste, without the nausea and bone-crushing fatigue, without the nerve pain and eye pain and blurred vision and other assorted miseries. I’ll be starting on my new regime next week, so I am making the most of my freedom!
Until next week, look after yourself, be kind to yourself and others, and trust your intuition.
With softness and soul, Nicole xx
