Sensitive people care when the world doesn’t because we understand waiting to be rescued and no one shows up. We have rescued ourselves, so many times that we have become self taught in the art of compassion for those forgotten.Shannon L. Alder
A short post today, to honour my friend Craig Ruddy who lost his life to COVID this week.
Craig was a gentle man, an artist, a deeply sensitive, intelligent and compassionate soul. He was a man who saw the world with his heart, who wrote his feelings large through his art, who carried bright the flame of social justice, whose kind eyes and warm smile sparked ease in everyone, and who loved to dance.
He will be deeply missed within the Byron community, and the wider world.
My thoughts are with Craig’s partner Roberto, his family and friends.
I’m homesick for the Shire for the first time this week.
Look after yourselves, and each other,
Love, and deep grief, Nicole xx
