The Pain That Leads To Transformation – Monday Oracle 11 April 2022

Beautiful are those whose brokenness gives birth to transformation and wisdom.

~ John Green

Hello, Lovelies!

This Quarter I am using The Light Seer’s Tarot by Chris-Anne for my weekly oracle readings.

Our card to guide us for the week ahead is 3 OF SWORDS. It’s a week for connecting into our pain, especially the things we have buried deep within us, so that we can bring light into our own darkness, and transform our sorrows and suffering into wisdom and healing.

This week 3 OF SWORDS is a week to help us connect to, and feel, our darker feelings. There’s an abundance of that right now, with everything going on around us – and, of course, you may have pain that goes right back to childhood. As we move towards the Full Moon on April 16 this pain is shifting, and breaking lose from where we have stowed it fast.

It’s never healthy to swallow our grief, to stuff down our pain, to ignore our heartache.

I know that sometimes you just can’t fall afford to fall apart in the moment. You might be a care-giver. Or there’s no-one else to support you. You have to get to work on time. You got the bad news on a bus. There’s so much going on and it’s just one hit after another. You need to pick up the kids or keep going until you get through your final exams. One of those things. All of those things.

I understand.

But it’s not healthy to bottle all that stuff up. Eventually those feelings need to be felt.

I have a prescription that works well, and it can be taken at a time that’s convenient to you.

Give yourself the gift of time. It might be an hour, it might be a night. It might be a weekend. It might be a week. You’ll know what feels right.

Get yourself ready by making sure that you’ll be on your own. Find some movies or music that you KNOW tap into your emotions and help you to truly feel and to cry. They will allow you to find a way back to your own repressed feelings through the journeys and stories of others.

Have some tissues on hand. Some food. Clean sheets, pyjamas, things that will comfort and nurture you.

Then sit on the couch and hit play.

Let the words, the images, the soundtracks reduce you to tears.

Cry. Wail. Howl. Sob. Blubber like a baby. Scream with grief and rage. Storm around the house in despair and futility. Cry some more.

Get it all out.

Then sleep.

Go again.

Do this until you’re done.

You’ll know it because you’ll feel an easing. Sunshine will begin to pour into that space that’s been cramped and dark and musty. You’ll feel lighter somehow. You’ll come to a space of peace.

Feelings need to be felt.

You are not your pain and trauma. It’s time to stop letting them define you.

I’m holding space for your healing this week. Let this be the beginning of a powerful positive transformation in your life. Ultimately, this is a time for hope, and making space for better things and better times.

My Top Tip For The Week Ahead: Sometimes the thing that helps us to heal is simply being able to acknowledge the pain or trauma within. To admit to ourselves that we aren’t happy, or that something is troubling us. It’s a great week for feeling into that. And then? Find support if you need it – a therapist or counsellor, a trusted friend. When we bring things out into the light, and share them, we can transform them into something that strengthens us instead of eroding and destabilizing us.

I’m working a short week this week, and then I have given myself a lovely holiday over Easter.

Ben and I are going to garden, write, cook yummy food, unpack some more boxes, and if the weather stays fine spend some time at the beach. I haven’t had a holiday for over 2 years (being sick in bed does not count!), and the thought of a couple of empty weeks is completely thrilling. I’m sure you’ll understand!

I’m also planning a lot of meditation, some crystal grids, and time in the forest with my ancient tree friends. Just the thought of it has me smiling and feeling like I could just break into a spontaneous happy dance.

Look after yourself this week, and be gentle with yourself and the people around you. Everyone is going to be feeling a little rattled and emotional, so take that into account and spread kindness and love where you can.

Biggest hugs and love to you, and a basket full of Easter Eggs, Nicole xx

  1. Happy Easter! I needed this today…my husband has been in the hospital since Tuesday. Basically i was living on junk food because i was stressed. My friend and children all said i needed to take care of me. They started bringing me care packages and food. There is a toxic family member i chose not to let know because of the drama she would bring in which would cause stress to my husband. We all just decided to keep it between children and grandchildren visiting. I am trying to do tiny things for myself while here. Hoping he will be able to leave soon, but may be another week. I am going to catnap in the daytime as self care.
