Maybe this one’s going to work…
~ Said Everyone Who Went On A Diet
Hey, Lovelies.
I’ve just started a very restricted diet that will last several months.
Not for weight loss, although that may happen. As for most of the eating programs I have ever embarked upon, my reasons are purely medical.
This one goes hand-in-hand with multiple tests, treatment regimes and retesting to see if the treatments I am about to take are working. The restrictive diet is to make sure that my tests will not be influenced in any way by what I might eat or drink.
On the way I hope to reduce my inflammation markets, and curb some of my current auto-immune and other bothers.
I’m trying very hard to find enthusiasm for the small number of proteins, herbs, vegetables and fruits on my list – and for the complete absence of caffeine or even decaf anything, grains, dairy, alcohol, sugars and anything out of a can or bottle.
I’ll be honest. For my ‘last’ dinner I ate a cupcake and two grilled cheese sandwiches and drank a glass of wine. Because it is going to be a long time before I get to do that again, and gee it’s hard to break up with cheese!
Wish me luck, and if I invent any stunningly exciting food combinations I will be sure to post them.
Love, obscure non-brassica vegetables and a whole lot of hope, Nicole xx
Thinking of you.. and cheese.. and hoping you can be reunited in a healthy way after all your tests and health regimes. I’m thinking of you. Sending you all the love and dreams of eating what you like. xoxoxo
Not that it will help you, but I’m pretty sure I can eat enough cheese for the both of us! LOL Here’s to some answers!
Wishing you luck..
I’m cheering you on, Nicole. You’ve got me in your corner.
My diet is terrible although I do have a bowl of fruit for breakfast
