Hooray, Lovelies!

We found our tree. Of course, it was in the last place we looked, rather than the first, but that is always the way when searching for lost things.

It was late when we found it, so now I have a box of tree parts, and a box of decorations and lights sitting in the middle of the lounge room. It’s a small tree, and old. Most of our decorations are old too, some from our childhoods, some from parents and grandparents, and a few that are gifts or souvenirs. Right now, after the crazy few years we’ve had, I don’t need new. I need sentimental. I need nostalgic.

I’m working all day today, doing readings with clients, so tomorrow will be our official ‘Tree Erection and Decoration Day’.

We’ll play festive music, and make an occasion of it!
