Trauma creates change you don’t choose. Healing is about creating change you do choose.

This Quarter I am using The Light Seer’s Tarot by Chris-Anne for my weekly oracle readings.
Our card to guide us for the week ahead is 6 OF SWORDS
This week 6 OF SWORDS calls on us to face our fears, our shadow side, and the dark place where we hide our secret hopes and dreams.
If you’re honest (and I want you to be honest) there are parts of yourself that you’re ashamed of – things that have happened in the past, that were done to you or that you’ve done to yourself or someone else. Or maybe you’re ashamed of the way you look or the way you act or of your current situation.
There are places and emotions within you that may make you feel uncomfortable. Perhaps it’s anger, maybe it’s lust, or it could be a huge desire to say ‘Screw it!’ and walk away from whatever is the sensible situation or relationship that everyone else keeps telling you is so great.
There are also dreams and desires you keep hidden deep inside because they mean so much to you. If you act on them and fail then who will you be? If you act on them and are judged or are rejected who will love you? If this thing doesn’t work out what will shape your life and give it meaning?
There’s trauma trapped within you, from the broken dreams, the mistakes and failures, from fear, criticism, ridicule and judgement, and from difficult people and life events.
6 Of Swords shows you that these dark inner places hold the key that will unlock your power. Embracing your trauma, unexpressed emotions and dreams, and integrating them into your life or bringing them out into the light to be healed or heard will help you to grow and give your life satisfaction and meaning.
Think about those shadow parts of yourself and those secret dreams. Then find a way to claim them, heal them, integrate them, act on them. That’s your path to growth, and your path to self-love and reconnection with all that you are. This week can be life-changing if you are brave enough to act.
Trust your intuition – it’s heightened right now and this deeper sensitivity will guide you well.
My Top Tip For The Week Ahead:
You don’t need to know where you are headed. You just need to know what it is you really need to leave behind. You need to get clear about what you DON’T WANT.
This isn’t a list of dislikes. It’s not an agenda of complaints. Today I want you to spend some time and be totally honest with yourself. Based on all of your life experiences so far, and on a foundation of your values and integrity, what is it that you just can’t do, won’t do, don’t ever want?
Your starting place for change is to simply recognise the energies and styles of relationships that you are no longer prepared to accept in your life. Think of it as drawing a line in the sand so that the Universe knows where you are at, and so that you can use this as a measuring stick for future situations, choices and relationships.
Once you have that list, turn your back and put those things behind you.
With what you don’t want behind you, you’ll have a starting place and a clear direction forward, even if you don’t know exactly where you’re headed next. Knowing what we don’t want is ALWAYS the starting point of working out what we DO want.
Stuck with creating a satisfying life for yourself or understanding your best direction forward? Maybe you need a session with me to bring some extra clarity and direction. Details here
Crystals to support you this week – Fluorite, Labradorite, Prehnite, Angelite, Smoky Quartz, Banded Agate
I’ll have my Christmas music on this week, while I get busy wrapping treats and treasures to go into packs for my members. Ben and I have been backwards and forwards from our sheds, lugging crystals and tarot cards, oracle cards and all kinds of other things that have been in storage from my pop-up shops and retreats. I have piles of goodies everywhere, and its exciting to be rediscovering all of these lovely things that have been put away in boxes for the past few years. I have a few more things in my big crystal grid too, but I can’t take them out until after the Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse (8 November).
My writing and editing is going well, and I have 12 791 new words towards my final goal.
And most exciting of all? We’re about to have a new barbeque installed on our deck in the next week or so, and hopefully a new oven too before the end of this year. A new barbeque has me rethinking our Christmas menu. Ah, the possibilities…
I must get my fruit in to soak too, so that I have plenty ready for Christmas cakes. Hooray Team Fruitcake! But more on that later (unless you are one of the I Hate Fruitcake camp, in which case I suggest you skip that blog post!)
It’s an early start for me today. I’m at my desk from 6am, ready to do readings for my UK clients. Late nights are not my thing, so I’d much rather do a sunrise gig!
Have a wonderful week, with lots of self-care and gentle self-encouragement, much love, Nicole xx
