The Dream That Keeps On Giving

People think dreams aren’t real just because they aren’t made of matter, of particles. Dreams are real. But they are made of viewpoints, of images, of memories and puns and lost hopes.
― Neil Gaiman

Hey, Lovelies.

You may remember me telling you about an interesting dream I had last week, where I was working in a library shelving books, and where the library had a break room made of gingerbread which you could break off the walls and eat!

I loved the dream so much, and found it such a comfort that I deliberately chose to explore that same dream in my meditations.

I don’t often dream about the same thing twice, but I can now report that I have had two more installments of the ‘Library’ dream, and I thought you might be interested in what has transpired.

In my second dream I was able to explore more of the Library, and it was very exciting. It has a huge adventure playground with swings and big old trees out the back. I totally love it. My friend, who got me the job there, works at the big front counter. Behind her is a door only for the librarians, and it is a portal to every other library in the world, and possibly the galaxy, across time and space. I haven’t tried that out yet, but I hope I get the chance.

My third dream showed me writing rooms where writers sit to write their books, surrounded by volumes of ideas books to help them with characters, locations and plot twists. I found a rooftop area which looked out over a bay filled with friendly sea monsters, whales, dolphins and turtles and with an owl roost in a sheltered corner. Clancy, a talking octopus, is one of the senior librarians, and he plays the glockenspiel to let people know when the Library is closing. The owls could talk too – so curious! And, finally, a doorway that leads to my childhood primary school back at a time where I actually was attending that school, and where I can go to my old classroom, library, art room and music room. Such happy memories for me, and all my beloved teachers are there.

I have no idea what it all means, but I don’t much care.

It’s the loveliest dream I have had in ages, and I am thoroughly enchanted by it all!

Love, a giant octopus, glockenspiels and afternoon tea, Nicole xx
PS – I couldn’t help myself. I had to make a picture of Clancy!

Hi! I'm Nicole Cody. I am a writer, psychic, metaphysical teacher and organic farmer. I love to read, cook, walk on the beach, dance in the rain and grow things. Sometimes, to entertain my cows, I dance in my gumboots. Gumboot dancing is very under-rated.
