Hello, Lovelies!

This Quarter I am using the The Sacred Forest Oracle by Denise Linn, illustrated by Scott Breidenthal, for my weekly oracle readings. 

Our card to guide us for the week ahead is 14. Earth Spirit – STABILITY

2025 is a year for pattern breaking, deep healing, mysticism and new directions.

November is a month for Transforming Your Home and Community. It’s a great month for renovations and those touches that make a house feel like a home, for spending time with the people and community groups that you love, and for embracing action and activism, especially if that’s moving you closer to your dream life. Practice gratitude and giving back. Be open to offers of help too!

 

🍎Monday Oracle: Reconnecting With What Nourishes You

This week’s energies are soft, earthy, and deeply grounding. They pull you back toward the simple things that keep you well — the things you often forget when life becomes stressful, overwhelming or rushed. Healing, this week, is not dramatic. It’s humble, steady, and beautifully human. It’s found in eating real food, drinking enough water, allowing yourself rest, moving your body in ways that feel kind, and creating small pockets of silence where your soul can breathe again.


🌿 A Week of Reconnection

This is very much a week for returning to what sustains you — the essential, nourishing rhythms you may have put aside without realising it.

Nature is one of the strongest anchors right now. Even a few minutes outside can help you come back into yourself. Sit in the sunshine, feel the breeze, let the scent of rain or earth soothe your nerves. Nature isn’t asking you to be productive or perfect. It simply invites you to soften and reconnect with your own inner steadiness.

Your body also wants your attention this week. Perhaps you’ve been pushing through fatigue, ignoring aches, or postponing the basics of care. Your body has been carrying so much for you, and it’s quietly asking for nourishment — for more sleep, for food that feels fresh and alive, for water before you reach for your phone, for a stretch or a slow walk to ease tension. Little actions matter more than you may realise.

Emotionally, this week encourages honesty. Feelings you’ve pushed down may rise gently to the surface so they can be acknowledged, soothed, and released. This isn’t a week to pretend you’re okay if you’re not. It’s a week to be kind to the weary parts of you, and to let someone know if you’re struggling. You don’t have to carry heavy things in silence.

And then there’s joy — the quiet kind that nourishes you from the inside out. Joy is not frivolous. It’s medicine. Sometimes it’s as small as sitting beside your pet, reading a chapter of a book, enjoying a warm drink, or stepping into a hot shower. Let joy find you in the ordinary moments and treat those moments as essential, not optional.

These energies are firmly encouraging you not to tolerate ongoing pain, worsening symptoms, emotional heaviness, or burnout. If something has been affecting your quality of life, please don’t ignore it. Make the appointment. Ask for help. Reach out. You matter too much to keep putting yourself last.

Here’s a simple practice to help you align with the week:

Find a quiet spot — near a window, under a tree, or simply wherever you can be undisturbed. Take a few slow breaths and place your hand over your heart. Ask yourself what your body needs today, what your heart needs, and what your spirit needs. Don’t analyse; let the first answers rise. Then, before the day ends, choose one of those needs and honour it with a small, loving action. No pressure. No perfection. Just care.


🌿 The Week Ahead

Think of this week as a soft reset. Not one that demands effort, but one that invites gentleness. It reminds you that wellbeing is not a luxury, it’s a necessity. You are allowed to slow down. You are allowed to rest. You are allowed to take care of yourself.

You deserve to feel nourished — body, mind, heart and soul.

😊 Nicole Update

It’s been a strange mix of hard work, softness and small victories here this week. My body has been struggling since I came off the chemo drugs, and I’m still dealing with nausea, insomnia and general weakness, so I’ve had to pace myself better – something I’m still learning how to do without guilt. But the slowing-down has brought unexpected gifts. The late afternoon and evening storms rolling over the mountain have been a blessing, making everything cool, quiet, and beautifully green after the insane muggy heat of the day. I’ve spent more time than usual watching the rain slip down the windows (often at 2am!), feeling oddly comforted by the moody weather.

And speaking of nature… I think I’ve activated some kind of recessive mermaid gene. Truly. I’ve been in the pool every chance I get – morning, afternoon, evening, even in the pouring rain (as long as there’s no lightning!). It’s been pure medicine for my body and my soul, holding me up in ways I didn’t realise I needed. There’s something about floating in cool water while raindrops kiss your skin that feels like pressing “reset” on your nervous system. Our pool is built on the side of a hill and is essentially a huge deep concrete tank. The water is always on the cooler side, but I’ve been craving that cold, and it settles my nausea like nothing else. Floating alone at night when everyone is in bed and the stars are out is pure magic. I can’t get enough!

Somehow, in the midst of all this resting and floating, I also managed to send out a huge cache of gift-wrapped planners and other goodies, did some client readings and added another ten thousand works to my new book, and in a little burst of kitchen productivity I was well enough to make both cherry chutney and cherry jam this week. That small act of stirring a pot and bottling something delicious felt like a tiny reclaiming of myself. 

So that’s me: hobbling along as best I can, swimming like an off-duty mermaid, watching the storms roll in, and celebrating the small creative wins when they come. And honestly? It’s enough.
