Shhhh, I’m on Bootcamp!

“Finished crap can be edited. Unfinished greatness languishes forever. The only bad writing is the thing you didn’t write!”
Margarita Gakis

A bunch of brave souls and I are starting an online Bootcamp today.

I’m teaching them how to create a book or a course or blog content. Or content for social media or podcasts or youtube. And then I’m going to show them how to sell it. Two crazy weekends. A few calmer weeks in between.

At the end of it? Results!

I’ll be working right alongside them, producing my own ebook and course. There’s nothing like working with a motivated group to keep your own energy levels up.

If you want to join us it’s not too late. Just click this link. Everything is recorded, and there is content galore, webinars and videos and our own private Facebook group.

By Monday I’ll have my latest book outline drafted, and a bunch of blog posts, an online course and some journal articles detailed too.

I can’t wait to see what everyone else comes up with!

I hope you have a great weekend too,

Lots of love, Nicole ❤ xx

Tea Parties and Crystal Grids

“Thank God for tea! What would the world do without tea! How did it exist? I am glad I was not born before tea.”
Sydney Smith

A few days ago my team and I undertook a massive photo shoot for our new website. This involved multiple locations over a number of days – our favourite Byron Bay cafes and hangouts (think bookstores and farmers markets!), the beach, the lighthouse and of course our farm.

The favourite part of the shoot for me was a tea party we held under big old trees in our front yard.

It was a proper tea party with finger sandwiches, egg rolls, little cakes and big cakes and chocolates and macarons. And three types of tea served in teapots with cute knitted cosies.

Not far from where we sat was a beautiful crystal grid of stones and flowers, nestled in the grass. It helped the energy of our afternoon to be relaxed, happy and joyous.

Here’s a sneak peak at some of the loveliness,

Hugs, Nicole ❤ xx

Tasty treats and garden-fresh flowers for the table

Setting the table ready for afternoon tea, and there is still so much food to bring down, and we need the teapots filled!

PS – I can’t wait to show you the rest of our photos!

Will You Honour Your Own Needs This Weekend?

Image from nailbuzz.com

“Don’t sacrifice yourself too much, because if you sacrifice too much there’s nothing else you can give and nobody will care for you.”
~  Karl Lagerfeld

Hello, my lovelies!
I was reminded of something powerful yesterday, while attending this three-day professional development conference with Ben.

I know you’ll understand because it’s something that almost all intuitives and empaths have in common – we are polite to a fault, and we are so aware of the feelings and emotional states of other people that we put huge amounts of energy into making sure that others are okay.

Which is great. To a point. But sometimes in the caring for others and being attuned to their needs we neglect our own.

Let me give you an example.

I always make it a practice to talk to new people at events like these, and yesterday I struck up a conversation with a quiet and shy-looking woman near the coffee station.

I introduced myself, and then asked her how she was enjoying the day.

Out flooded a torrent of negativity. She was only here because her husband made her come. They’d travelled from Melbourne. She’d never been to Brisbane. She had no time in her life for anything like this. She hated her job. The traffic was terrible where she lived. She never got time for herself. And on it went.

On and on and on.

I’m sure many of you have found yourself in a similar situation, stuck in a corner with some negative Nellie at a family function or a work party or a gig you attended where you’d really wanted to enjoy yourself.

I’ve set myself a goal of finding a few people to mastermind with over this weekend. The only time we get to meet is in the breaks, and this woman was not someone I wanted to hang out with.

Normally polite Nicole would stay, listen, be empathetic and kind and reassuring. But then I’m not meeting my own needs, I’d be putting hers first. And this woman was dragging my energy down so fast it was like I’d been shot and was leaking life force all over the floor.

As soon as she drew breath I smiled. ‘I hope you can find something positive from the weekend. And if it all gets too much we’re surrounded by great shops and restaurants, so you could go exploring instead. Have a great day!’ After which I got myself out of there fast.

I honoured my own needs. I found some other people to talk with and soon I was enjoying myself again; learning, engaging and growing through more positive conversations.

This weekend will you be like that poor woman, doing something you don’t want to do or being someplace you don’t want to be? (I’ve been in her shoes – haven’t you!) How much better it would have been for her if she’d said no, or found a way to honour her own interests and needs while still supporting her man. Or if she’d found a way to make the most of her experience, even if it wasn’t her first choice. Being open-minded can open us up to extraordinary synchronicities and miracles.

If she’d stayed open-minded and it still sucked for her, there was a world waiting just outside the door. A city she’d never travelled to, and three days to fill!

How about you?

Can you say no this weekend? No to the things that you don’t want.

Can you say yes this weekend? Yes to the things that fulfil you and meet your own needs?

Can you walk away from situations that suck all the joy out of you, and put your own needs front at centre, or at least make them as important as everyone else’s?

I promise that the act of acknowledging what you want and making space for it starts a quiet revolution in your life. One that may well make you a much more happy and fulfilled person.

Wishing you a weekend filled with just what you need!

Biggest love and hugs, Nicole  xx

PS – That unhappy woman would really benefit from attending my upcoming Pop Up Shop and Events. At our Channelling and Guided Meditation Evening we’ll be discussing all kinds of ways to uplift, nurture and heal ourselves, and how to better manage anxiety and depression. Learning a foundation of spiritual practices at my Saturday workshop would give her a framework for self-awareness and a whole toolkit of methods for exploring who she is, what she needs and what life direction will make her soul sing At my Sunday workshop she could craft a meditation mala and then learn how to use it. With that mala around her neck she’d feel comforted and reassured, and she’d have a tool at her fingertips for affirmation, meditation, co-creation and transformation. My events run over the weekend of May 25-27 here in Brisbane, Australia. No matter what level you’re at I’ll have something for you on my program and a beautiful selection of spiritual tools, crystals, singing bowls, jewellery, prayer shawls and more in my shop. More details here!

Maybe It’s Time To Be More Fully You…

“Don’t compromise yourself – you’re all you have.”
~  John Grisham

Be yourself. Be authentic.

It’s what everyone tells you.

In fact it’s totally hip to be authentic.

But how far should you go?

I’m creating a new website right now. My old one is awful – a static site I can’t change after my previous developers decided it wasn’t cool to have my ‘weird psychic self’ site come up first in searches for their company name at a time when they were heavily investing in representing large government departments and corporations. They gave me 24 hours to find a new host and booted me off so that they’d no longer be associated with me, because how embarrassing for them!

And this blog was never meant to be my main gig.

I’ve put off this whole new website thing anyway. It seemed a bit pointless to spend the money if I was going to croak it, which is a place I’ve danced around for years. My business is successful despite my awful website and total lack of branding.

But as my business is growing I need a website with functionality. Regardless of my varying health status, I’d rather have a new website. So last year I began this journey of ‘rebranding’. It’s a funny thing, building a website around yourself. You need to be able to say who you are, and to put that clearly out into the world.

I spoke to some trusted business colleagues and mentors first. People who are experts in the whole personal branding thing. People I know and care about.

Well, they all asked me, what is it that you do? You’ve got to be authentic and put that out there so others can find you.

Great, I said. I’m a psychic who…

No! You can’t say that, they all interrupted me.

Every single one of them advised me not to call myself a psychic. Psychics are strange and fluffy and lack credibility and are often just bogus. Also, I’ll alienate the whole Christian market, which is big, apparently. Especially in America. In fact some of my marketing friends told me that being a psychic is maybe not Christian and might also be that other thing. The Satan thing. Being a psychic is not cool. If anything it’s an affliction. Maybe I could call myself something else instead? Intuitive’s cool. Why not be intuitive?

Also, they advised me, just pick one thing. Don’t water down your message.

Okay. Great. Which one thing should I pick? I’ve got a rich and complex life happening here.

I’ve never been one of the ‘hip’ crowd. All the stuff I love is either so old or so out there that I am invisible, way at the front end of trends or following far behind. I trusted these people. So I spent all of last year trying to simplify myself and find less offensive words to describe myself.

Image from Australian Museum

Meanwhile I was also working on my memoir, which is now in its final draft stages. And of course my memoir is all about a period in my life where I am going through this profound psychic awakening and needing to come to terms with that. You know some of that story already – from the time where I lived in the Kimberley and was helped by my Aboriginal Aunties.

I recently gave my draft to a few people to read. My well-meaning writing friends and business colleagues told me to tone it down. But all my tribe, the ones who get me, told me to ramp it up. To include more of me and my weirdness, not less.

The more I work on polishing up my memoir the more I see that my tribe are right. Thanks to all of you I’ve decided that I just can’t do it. I can’t pretend to be a watered-down version of myself just to make other people feel more comfortable. If I can’t be myself, how can I ever ask that of you?

I guess it’s because we all worry about being judged, rejected or ridiculed if we show our true selves – warts and all.

Here on my blog I am always myself. I don’t hide anything. I have shared it all – the psychic stuff, the health stuff, the ins and outs of my life. And you guys have come and stayed. Thank you.

I promise you I’ll keep being myself. I’ll just do it bigger, and with a website that can support me to support you better in your own journeys.

I’m not just intuitive. I’m psychic. And I won’t be ashamed of that or hide that anymore. It’s my truth.

What’s your truth? What are you hiding or diminishing within you for fear of being judged?

I promise you that the people who will ‘get’ you, and who are the ones worth hanging out with, will be eager for you to just be yourself. If you have to change yourself or hide yourself you’re running with the wrong crowd.

The world desperately needs more authenticity. Not the hip kind. The unhip kind. The kind that allows us to be ourselves despite that self not looking like what marketers, magazines or social media tells us we need to be.

Will you join me in just being yourself?

Hi, I’m Nicole. I’m a psychic, channel, metaphysical teacher and mentor, a business coach, a blogger who loves to cook, a late-stage Lyme warrior who often lives in pyjamas and who favours gumboots and slippers for footwear ( although gumboots are better for dancing on the farm), and a writer who can’t stop writing, reading and acquiring more books.

How about you? I’d love to get to know you more. Feel free to drop me a comment below, or come visit me on facebook. Be yourself, and know I’ll love you for it!

Biggest hugs, Nicole  xx

It’s Not Too Late To Join My Business Mentoring Program!

“Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.”
Benjamin Franklin

In the past few weeks I’ve been inundated with people asking me if it’s too late for them to join my business mentoring program for 2018.

The short answer to that is NO, but the doors won’t stay open much longer. I’ll be closing out this group on March 15 and the doors won’t open again until January 2019.

My mentoring program combines a year-long membership to my Year of ME community and Planner, as well as a ten-month business course designed to help you get up and running or to level up and create better cashflow in your existing business.

And all of this while learning to be beautifully, comfortably and authentically yourself!

What’s Involved?

There are three options for this mentoring:

  1. The standard package which costs $770 – truly this is a no-brainer. Where else can you get ten months of business course and group coaching for $440 AND email support from me? Which is what it boils down to after we subtract the twelve-month Year of ME (YOM) community membership and course – the YOM course is compulsory and is where I teach many of the metaphysical foundations you’ll find so helpful in a soul-centred business. The YOM community is where I hang out, and where you can get access to me for all kinds of stuff. Incidentally, if business isn’t your thing or if you’re in that long queue of people waiting for a reading with me or to come on my next retreat you should consider joining YOM because I run regular webinars and Facebook live sessions where I share many of the concepts and skills I teach on retreats, and I also do card readings in my live sessions where I give my YOMMERS guidance and support – it’s awesome. Did I say you should come join us?! Details in my shop! The standard business mentoring package is available as a one-time purchase or monthly subscription. Note: total subscription cost slightly higher than one-time price
  2. The standard package plus ad hoc coaching hours – you can buy coaching sessions as you need them with me, to get that extra targeted support.
  3. The Deluxe YOMpreneur package. This package includes membership to YOM and YOMpreneur 2018, with one important extra. Dedicated one-on-one coaching time with me as we work through the YOMpreneur program. As a Deluxe YOMpreneur for 2018 you’ll receive:
    • Priority booking status ahead of all my other clients
    • 10 hours of intensive business coaching and personal metaphysical mentoring to be used throughout the year. All our sessions will be recorded and made available to you as MP3s.This can be taken as phone, skype or face-to-face sessions.
    • A twenty-minute orientation call/skype where we map out your coaching time with me for the year ahead.
    • Email support.
    • This can also be paid for as a one-time buy or as a monthly subscription

Why work with me?

I have worked as a private business coach for a number of high-profile clients for over fifteen years, helping them to grow their businesses in sustainable ways. To do this work I combine my psychic and business abilities as well as my professional training and experience to help identify opportunities, strengths and skills – and to then generate business plans that elevate performance, create teams and build sustainable and strong businesses.

I’ve got a strong business and adult education background and qualifications in those fields, as well as being able to use my intuitive and psychic skills. My current business is a healthy six-figure gig that I run from home, part-time and often in my pyjamas, with help from a great team. I’ve run other people’s businesses, been a business trouble-shooter, a business lecturer, and run my own corporate communications company with universities, government departments, international agencies and global corporations as clients. I understand how to create businesses that can support your needs, especially if you have a family, are a carer or are working from a place of illness, fatigue or disability.

In 2017 I launched the pilot program of YOMpreneur – a program to help my Cauldrons and Cupcakes community and my metaphysical mentoring students to create their own success in business.

In 2018 I’ve refined this process to become YOMpreneur Business 2018. In this mentoring program I will work with you on your existing small business or a new business idea to build something that can generate income and help you to take your ideas and products to the world.

Seriously, I’ll never offer this amazing course at such a ridiculously cheap price ever again, so why not sign up now and take advantage of the chance to work with me to help make your business dreams a reality!

Read on to find out more below.

What’s In the YOMpreneur Course for 2018?

The YOMprenuer Course is designed to be used in conjunction with the Year of ME Planner yearly membership and course. Access to the YOM course and materials is part of the YOMpreneur Package.

The YOMpreneur Coursework and Support runs from February to November 2018.

In these ten months I will work to skill you up in the following areas:

  • how to think like an entrepreneur – the ‘ideas’ part of the business
  • how to think like a business manager – the ‘get stuff done’ part of the business
  • how to actively learn from the past year, and incorporate those learnings into your business
  • how to incorporate your intuition and values into your business planning and everyday business activities
  • how to understand and clearly define your business offerings and audience
  • how to develop business plans that are sustainable and that honour your own style of working and living
  • how to create systems to support your business and your work/life balance
  • how to identify your best opportunities for growth and success in 2018
  • how to work towards turning ideas into action, results and profit
  • how to generate cash-flow in your business
  • how to avoid burnout and make business fun again!

You’ll also get to connect with other intuitive and empathic entrepreneurs

If you join up as a YOMpreneur I’ll show you how to navigate and plan for the year ahead in business, and how to incorporate those activities back into your Year of ME Planner so that you get on track and then keep going. The YOMpreneur membership will suit you if you have a business idea but haven’t taken it further, but it will also work for you if you have an existing business and are looking to make it work better for you or take things to the next level! There is something here for all heart-based entrepreneurs.

I’m going to help you create the plan and then work the plan.

The emphasis in 2018 is on getting you cash-flow positive. We’re going to do this through regular group coaching calls, coursework and webinars.

YOMpreneur offers something very important – like-minded people, accountability and a chance to be less isolated in your business development and entrepreneurial dreams.

I’ll also have webinars and facebook live events to keep you updated, motivated and heading in the right direction. You’ll also have a special accountability buddy for the year ahead – me!

YOMpreneur 2018 includes the Year of ME membership (YOM) and year-long course as well as the YOMpreneur membership and course. Both groups also have private facebook pages.

Highlights of Cebu

My friend Cate helping me make a healing meditation mandala on the beach one early morning

“No man needs a vacation so much as the man who has just had one.”
~ Elbert Hubbard

I’ve been in Cebu the past several days, attending a wonderful conference for entrepreneurs. (Thank you, Chris Ducker!) While I’ve been here I have also made healing mandalas for my morning meditation each day, I have swum with tropical fish, I have networked and brainstormed and expanded my possibilities, I have enjoyed massages, and planned the next stage of my business, I have discovered useful information for my coaching clients, I have hugged many friends, I have done more psychic readings in a few days of downtime than I ever thought possible, I have danced and sung and partied and even partaken of a very few, very good alcoholic beverages – a rarity for me.

I am now busy packing before I fly out to Manila, so I will offer a few photos as evidence that a good time has been had, and that I really did manage to make it through with flying colours instead of collapsing in a heap at the end of it all.

I’ll write more tomorrow, after I’ve hugged my husband and caught up on some sleep.

Missing you all heaps, Nicole <3 xoxo

The amazing Peter Shankman, presenting my favourite quote of the event; ‘Let me give you some advice, bastard. Never forget what you are. The rest of the world will not. Wear it like armor, and it can never be used against you.’ ~ Tyrion Lannister, George R Martin.

Psychic readings by the pool. Can’t complain about my working conditions. In between each session I would have a quick dip and then a cool drink. Just lovely!!!

Boat rides, swimming with tropical fishies and spectacular sunsets…

Getting ready for our White Party on the beach.

And partying at the White Party with my friends.

I had the biggest smile all night. So much fun. So many happy memories made.

I  must say that it’s wonderful to be well enough to be posting things like this. Dreams do come true. Prayers do get answered. The wheel turns. If it can for me, it can for you too!

(PS – Yes, you may have spotted it. The rogue unicorn that photobombed me. It was that kind of a night…)

Like Cinderella I was home just before the clock struck midnight, and I took a selfie for my Mum to prove that I was still in good shape after all that frivolity – just a little hot from dancing. Cebu certainly puts the ‘hot’ in tropical. Here you go, Mum!

Best. Time. Ever. 😀

The Energies of February – 2017

welcome-february

“If nothing else in this long and short life, let me be true to my conscience, to the dignity of my own heart. Let me act in a way that says, I have honored my spirit as truly as I have honored others. Let me stand tall and rooted as a mountain in the face of a quaking world.”
~ Jennifer DeLucy

Hello, Lovelies :)

Suddenly, here we are at February. After the fresh hopes and the new beginnings offered by January and the dawning of 2017, some of you may now be feeling a little less optimistic, a little less enthusiastic, a little more overwhelmed.

Or a lot.

But take heart. There is a groundswell of energy in February that speaks of a return to alignment and integrity, and a need for the values and principles of your heart to be reflected in the life you live. Breathe out fear and breathe in love. Anchor love and light in yourself and in your corner of the world. Radiate love and calm to those around you. And most importantly – live true to yourself and your values this month. Stand in your integrity. Speak up for what you believe in. Act from love and compassion. That’s what’s most needed in our lives and in the world right now.

Cards for the Month:

I’ve chosen two cards for February for you: one from the Osho Zen Tarot Deck, and one from Colette Baron-Reid’s Wisdom of the Oracle. Please note I don’t use these cards in the conventional way, but rather as a stimulus for channelled information.

Here is what I have received from each card:

turning

“Doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will.”
~ Suzy Kassem

February brings a counter-balance to the more exuberant energies of January. In February we’re asked to turn inwards, and to tune in to our own wants and needs. Find quiet time for reflection this month. Get some periods of time on your own, even if it’s just an hour. Walking, meditating, time in nature, quiet nights at home – these are all great activities for February.

This is an important month for staying true to yourself and your vision and goals, despite what other people might say or advise. No matter your own doubts in your abilities. Look for mentors and friends who will support you and lift you up. Sign up to study and self-enrichment work.

February whispers words of encouragement in your ear. It’s time to back yourself and your plans. It’s time to honour your truth and to be yourself, with no apologies. Work on your future. Commit to your ideas and decisions. Stay strong and trust yourself! Nurture that garden and plant more seeds.

It’s also a fabulous month for developing more intuition and psychic ability. This takes quiet time and the ability to slow down and pay attention to the world around you, and the feelings within your own body. Meditation will make everything better in February!

The second card I’ve chosen is Orphaned. The picture captures so well the devastating loneliness that comes when we try to change or disguise ourselves to fit in or gain approval, and even after all of that soul denial we find ourselves (or aspects of ourselves) unaccepted and unloved.

“The thought of being whoever I want is a terrifying thing, because I have only ever been who everyone has wanted me to be.”
~ Dianna Hardy

In February, decide that it is best to be yourself and to be loved for who you are.

Get counselling to help you overcome the wounds and pains of past or existing relationship.

Make your emotional well-being a priority. If you are in friendships, workplaces or love relationships where you have to keep yourself small or hide major aspects of yourself in order to satisfy others, or where the situation goes against your values and beliefs, consider leaving.

Life is too short to be unhappy in an unfulfilling situation. Better to give yourself the chance to be loved and appreciated for who you are by starting over somewhere else.

The truth is that you are beautiful, you are valuable, you are worthy.

You are lovable, and you have the right to emotional fulfillment and to be able to freely express your thoughts, ideas and beliefs by being yourself.

Someone will love you. Someone will resonate with who you are. There will be a workplace where you don’t have to suffer bullying. There is no need to change or to hide yourself any longer. And that love must start with you – loving and valuing yourself enough to decide that you will no longer accept second-rate relationships and situations where you are not respected or valued.

Best crystals this month?

Ametrine and White Howlite.

Ametrine is a rare stone that combines amethyst and citrine crystals. It promotes self-awareness, clarity and spiritual connection and gets you back in flow with your Higher Self.

Essential oils to support your journey?

Each of the following oils will work beautifully on their own for you this month, but they also make a delicious combination for diffusing. The essential oils you will find helpful in February are Rosemary, Lavender, Cedarwood, and Bergamot. Rosemary helps us to make good decisions and to problem-solve, Lavender keeps us in flow and relaxed, Cedarwood is grounding and supportive – especially when you feel anxious or overwhelmed, and Bergamot gifts us optimism and a sense of gratitude for our lives and the world around us. To diffuse add 2 or three drops of each oil to your room or personal diffuser. You can find the oils here.

“Be as a bird perched on a frail branch that she feels bending beneath her, still she sings away all the same, knowing she has wings.”

Yesterday was Friday.

Friday in our household is also now our official Nicole and Ben Day.

It’s a day that we have chosen to dedicate to spending as a couple. Not a day of leisure – that’s what our Unplugged Sunday is for. Nicole and Ben Day is a day where we sit together and talk about our plans. We discuss our long-term dreams and goals, and our shorter-term projects. We talk work. We talk farm stuff.

It’s a day for doing things together. Home maintenance, tax, business and creative projects. We get to go on expeditions – yesterday it was a trip to the Farmers Markets, and then into Lismore, our closest big town, so that we could visit an office supplies chain, the rural produce store and do a quick grab of some dry goods groceries. Which also meant lunch at Steve’s Bakery! (One massive cheese and salad sandwich and one egg and lettuce sandwich and a pot of tea for two to share – deluxe!)

Friday’s also a day where we can just be together.

I’m tired right now from all of these treatments I’m on. So after our busy morning we made a pot of tea (Melbourne Breakfast – it’s a robust black tea with a hint of smooth vanilla) and sat on the veranda, watching the rain and relaxing with Harry Dog at our feet.

There is a birdbath under the jacaranda tree, just across from where we sit. It’s one of my great pleasures, watching all the birds come down to drink and to bathe. All spring and into summer it has been unseasonably dry here at the farm. Ben or I have hauled a hose over to refill that birdbath every day. But the last two days there has been enough rain to fill it for us.

And finally, after I got my hands into the dirt and planted new seedlings in the rain yesterday afternoon, we went for a swim while it rained. The rain was cold. The pool was warm. It was glorious.

But what was most important was that we had an entire day to consciously connect, and to talk about and work on what matters most to us.

How about you? Do you have dedicated time for yourself, or time for being with your partner or family members, where you can deepen communication and focus on personal projects and plans? I highly recommend this as a practice.

Sending much love to you, on the wings of happy-dancing birds, Nicole <3 xx

Small Steps, Repeated Often, Lead to Results

“A year from now you will wish you had started today.” ~ Karen Lamb

Did you get that thing about small steps?

Let me repeat that for you.

Small steps, repeated often, lead to results.

This can work either way.

Bad habits, even small ones, cumulatively will take us a long way in the wrong direction.

Small efforts, repeated often, can also take us towards our goals and dreams.

Every book ever published was written paragraph by paragraph, scene by scene.

Every return to fitness started with a slow and inelegant beginning.

Every thriving garden began by tending the soil, planting the seeds, watering, weeding, showing up each day, long before there was anything to harvest.

Every language was learned word by word, phrase by phrase.

Small steps are usually not impressive. The initial results may seem negligible. But all of these small steps, when taken consistently, eventually amount to something grand.

About now the initial impetus and excitement of the New Year is wearing off. Your big plans may currently seem impossible. You might be sliding back into apathy or overwhelm.

But maybe you just started in an unrealistic way. Maybe your small steps weren’t small enough. Or maybe you never even broke those bigger objectives down into tiny do-able chunks.

Today, start over.

What matters to you?

What do you want to achieve?

Commit to one thing.

Break that down into the smallest steps possible and simply begin.

Then keep going.

Day after day.

Just small steps.

A year from now you’ll be glad you did.

The Week Ahead – Oracle for Monday 22 January 2017

Destiny

“The only person you are destined to become is the person you decide to be.”
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Hello, Lovelies!

Here’s the oracle card I have chosen this Monday, and my take on the energetic outlook for the week ahead. I use any oracle or tarot cards shown as a prompt for channelled messages and my own intuitive wisdom, so my take is sometimes quite different to the meaning found in a book. ‘Destiny’ is from the Chakra Wisdom Oracle Deck by Tori Hartman.

If you read my forecast for January, you’ll remember that this is a month for seeing yourself and your life with fresh eyes – a month for stepping out of your old story and writing a new one for the years ahead, one that expands your possibilities and that brings you meaning and joy.

I love the message of this week’s card – Destiny shows so clearly the struggle within us as we look to what we want and then begin to doubt.

It’s not that we can’t see the possibilities for our life. We can! We can see how we might do something, create something, join something, be something.

We can even see how our lives might change if we commit to new habits, if we take action, if we do the thing. We want to believe in those possibilities for ourselves. We want to commit to them.

But…

What we also bring when we see these possibilities for ourselves is doubt. We find that we have a lack of confidence in ourselves and our abilities. A voice inside our head tells us we aren’t good enough. We don’t belong.

We begin looking for someone outside of ourselves to validate our decisions and choices. We begin to seek approval. We begin to seek opinions.

Before we know it we are swamped and overwhelmed. Our initial enthusiasm is dampened or gone, we are back in stuckness, we are defeated before we start.

Destiny reminds us that this is natural at the beginning of any journey. This doubt and fear and lack of confidence in ourselves is human. Most people feel it, including the people we see as successful and better than ourselves. They are just more practiced at hiding these feelings or overcoming them.

This week is a powerful week for meeting your indecision and lack of confidence head on. It’s a week that supports taking tangible steps towards change. It’s a week that encourages you to make decisions, to commit to a course of action, to back yourself and your plans and dreams.

It’s a glorious week for beginning to overcome lifelong patterns of ‘not good enough’.

Need help with that? Look no further than this year’s energetic forecast, and the wise advice and presence of the Prince of Disks, who advocates small steps daily towards our greater vision.

This week is also a beautiful week for planning the year ahead as we reflect on what has been, and where we want to go next.
