The Power of the Pivot – Monday Oracle 6 October 2025

“There’s a fine line between heroic persistence and foolish stubbornness. Sometimes the best kind of grit is gritting our teeth and turning around”
― Adam Grant

Hello, Lovelies!

This Quarter I am using the The Sacred Forest Oracle by Denise Linn, illustrated by Scott Breidenthal, for my weekly oracle readings.

Our card to guide us for the week ahead is 20. Frog Spirit – RENEWAL

2025 is a year for pattern breaking, deep healing, mysticism and new directions.

October is a month for Transforming Your Relationships – with yourself, your loved ones, your interests, your talents and your dreams. Plan to spend meaningful time with the people and activities that matter most to you, and spend time on yourself too, so that you look and feel good.

🌿 Monday Oracle: Renewal & New Directions

This week’s energies invite us into a space of renewal and possibility. Relationships may shift, old preconceptions may fall away, and opportunities may arise that look very different to what you had originally planned.

The message is simple: stay flexible, stay open, and stay willing to see things as they truly are, not as you fear they might be, or as you hoped they would be.

🌸 Renewal in Relationships

Sometimes the stories we’ve been holding onto about ourselves or others are no longer true. This week is a chance to let go of outdated preconceptions, to forgive old hurts, or to welcome new understanding into relationships that matter. Be honest. Be kind. And stay open to people surprising you.

🌟 Adapting to Opportunity

The Universe may bring you an unexpected opportunity, but  it might not look exactly like the dream you’ve been carrying. Don’t dismiss it too quickly. Ask yourself: Could this be a stepping stone, or an opening toward something better?

Flexibility is key. Life rarely unfolds exactly the way we imagine, but it often brings us to something even richer.

🌙 The Pivot Point

This is a week where things can pivot and move in new directions. Some situations may fall away, making space for something healthier, happier, or more aligned. Others may suddenly improve or expand. Trust that whatever changes this week, it’s clearing the way for growth.

💫 Reflection Prompt

Where in my life am I clinging to old expectations – and what could shift if I allowed myself to see things as they really are?

✨ Closing Thought

Be willing to release what no longer fits. Be open to opportunities, even if they arrive in unexpected wrapping. This week, renewal and new beginnings are unfolding. Trust that what falls away will make space for what is better aligned.

🌟 Top Tip of the Week:

Stay flexible and open.
Life may shift suddenly this week – a plan could change, a relationship could evolve, or an unexpected opportunity might appear. Instead of resisting, take a breath and ask: “What if this change is leading me somewhere better?”
Adaptability isn’t weakness, it’s wisdom in motion.

I’m eagerly anxiously eagerly awaiting news of my 2026 Journeymaker’s Planner‘s whereabouts. Copies have already gone live on Amazon USA, but I’m still waiting to receive copies here at the Treehouse for my Etyy store, and into Amazon Australia. Apparently, Australian Borderforce conducted a huge recent drug bust at the Sydney ports, so our delivery times have blown out due to freight congestion. Fingers crossed it shouldn’t be to much longer. I’ll update you here as soon as I have news.

If you do buy one of my Planners and you’re happy with it, please consider leaving me a positive review on the platform where you purchase. As an independent author and small business owner, your support means the world to me! Same goes for every other author and creator. Your positive words can have a huge impact in helping us get our work into the world, and enabling us to keep creating.

In other news I’m back to my Lyme doctor this week to get all the details on my next rounds of treatment. It’s expected I’ll have to go back on chemo for my sarcoidosis, and I’m mentally preparing myself for that. Meanwhile I have been enjoying being almost nausea-free, and relatively clear-headed. The good news is that if I start this next course soon I will be finished just before Christmas, and then one more round early in the new year and I should be done and dusted. Then I’ll only have the mop-up of my Lyme drugs to do. Not that I’m counting the days, but yeah… I’m counting the days. 😖

And I’ve finally finished the structural edit for my new novel. Next for me is the line edit, where I will attempt to remove twenty thousand words (Argh!) and have it ready for a pitching competition a little later this month. I’m still so in love with this story, even though these past few months of big changes and small tweaks have been HARD.

I also have a new Instagram account with the same name – and I’ll be using both accounts to share more about my books, my writing journey and to support you with your own growth through journal prompts, magical insights and practical self-help tips.

Remember that it’s not too late to pivot and find new directions, or to tweak where you are. It’s okay to want to be happy, and to have meaningful relationships with people and the world around you.
Sending gentle hugs and positive energies,  Nicole xx

Hi! I'm Nicole Cody. I am a writer, psychic, metaphysical teacher and organic farmer. I love to read, cook, walk on the beach, dance in the rain and grow things. Sometimes, to entertain my cows, I dance in my gumboots. Gumboot dancing is very under-rated.
