What If You Chose A New Direction? – Monday Oracle 29 September 2025

“The best way to predict the future is to invent it.”

~ Alan Kay

Hello, Lovelies!

This Quarter I am using the The Rooted Woman Oracle by Sharon Blackie, illustrated by Hannah Willow, for my weekly oracle readings.

Our card to guide us for the week ahead is 5. FOREST – Finding The Path

2025 is a year for pattern breaking, deep healing, mysticism and new directions.

September energies are all about Healing Your Broken Path – reclaiming your gifts, dreams and deeper truth, embracing your own style and direction, and trusting in yourself and the Universe. October is a month for Transforming Your Relationships – with yourself, your loved ones, your interests, your talents and your dreams. Plan to spend meaningful time with the people and activities that matter most to you, and spend time on yourself too, so that you look and feel good.

🌿 Monday Oracle: Finding The Path

This week’s energies invite you to look at your life from a new perspective. If the road you’ve been walking feels heavy, blocked, or uninspiring, it may be time to pause and look around. Sometimes the path forward isn’t the well-worn track everyone else is on — it’s the road less travelled, the trail that asks you to trust your intuition and your own inner compass.

🌙 Trust the Journey

The Universe is whispering, nudging, guiding. You may not feel ready or confident, but the truth is this: no one ever feels completely ready for change. The courage is found in taking that first small step anyway. Each step forward, no matter how tiny, keeps you in front of your fears.

This week is not about giant leaps. It’s about gentle bravery, steady curiosity, and trusting that one step at a time is enough to shift your direction.

🌟 Daring to Try Something New

✨ Do the thing that sparks your curiosity, even if it scares you.
✨ Explore a new hobby, a new place, or a new conversation.
✨ Reach for the dream that feels just out of reach.

Remember: the path is created as you walk it. Sometimes you’ll find signposts left by others who have gone before you. Other times, you’ll blaze a brand new trail. Both are sacred.

🌿 Practical Ways to Work With This Energy

  • Journal Prompt: Where am I walking by habit, and where is my heart asking me to step off the beaten track?

  • Look for mentors and way-showers. Who is already living in a way that inspires you?

  • Take one new action. Send the email, sign up for the class, apply for the role, or book the trip. It doesn’t have to be perfect — it just has to begin.

  • Make space for reflection. Pull a card or meditate on what your next step might be.

✨ Closing Thought

The path ahead may not be clear, but it doesn’t need to be. Each step you take opens the way. Trust yourself. Trust the Universe. And know this: the path that is right for you is already waiting.

🌟 Top Tip of the Week:

Take one small, brave step.
The path forward won’t reveal itself all at once. Instead, it unfolds as you walk it. This week, choose one thing that feels new, different, or just a little scary — and do it. It might be reaching out to someone, trying a new practice, or saying yes where you’d usually say no. Each small step keeps you ahead of fear and opens the road to possibility.

I’m home at the Treehouse after my solo writing retreat. It’s so good to be reunited with Ben and Rufous, and to have all that clean air and greenery around me again. I can’t wait to get down to the beach and get my toes in the ocean, and to tackle the pile of books on my bedside table.

It was wonderful to be able to immerse myself so fully in my story, and to lose myself there for a while. There were days where I was so engrossed in my work that I forgot to eat, and was amazed when I looked up from my desk to find an entire day had gone past in the blink of an eye.

It also gave me time to reflect deeply on what I want for my stories, and the kind of path I aspire to as a writer. It clarified for me that what matters most is telling the stories in my heart, and protecting the integrity of those stories, so that they find a home with people who will understand and care for that integrity. I don’t care about commercial success, although that would be nice. What I care about is telling my stories without compromise.

This week I’ll be adjusting to the Queensland heat – it feels like summer already – and getting ready for Quarter Four of 2025. Time for a planning session for the rest of this year and the beginning of next. I’m hoping to have a Planner update for you soon too.

Want to stay a little more updated with what’s happening with me? Come visit my new Facebook Page –  Nicole Cody Writes I’d love you to follow me there.
I also have a new Instagram account with the same name – and I’ll be using both accounts to share more about my books, my writing journey and to support you with your own growth through journal prompts, magical insights and practical self-help tips.

Remember to take some time for yourself this week, and to focus on the things that matter most.
Love, hugs and happiness, Nicole xx

Hi! I'm Nicole Cody. I am a writer, psychic, metaphysical teacher and organic farmer. I love to read, cook, walk on the beach, dance in the rain and grow things. Sometimes, to entertain my cows, I dance in my gumboots. Gumboot dancing is very under-rated.
