If you’re going to trust one person, let it be yourself.Robert Tew
As soon as you trust yourself, you will know how to live.Johan Wolfgang Von Goethe
I so enjoyed the recent Lunar Eclipse, which I watched unfold in the star-spangled sky above me. It filled me with a sense of calm and wonder, and I slept deeply and well when I finally went to bed.
For me, and for so many of my community, the Eclipse was gentle, nurturing and helped us open to new ideas, positive change and new directions.
Still, many people have emailed or messaged me, concerned that eclipses are ‘bad energy’ or that it was ‘not safe’ to put their crystals out under the influence of an Eclipse. They worry, based upon what other people have written or said about how terrible eclipses are. There is a lot of fear and superstition in parts of the New Age community. I don’t think that serves us well.
After all, what is an Eclipse? For a Lunar Eclipse the Earth’s shadow covers the Moon, blocking the sun’s rays from illuminating the Moon. For a Solar Eclipse the Moon momentarily blocks out the Sun, plunging the Earth into darkness. These are plays of light, natural cycles, and while they may have been feared in the past, our scientific understanding of these natural processes helps us to step away from those old superstitions.
So, how was the Eclipse for you?
YOU have the authority to tune in to your own intuition to see how something feels.
How did you feel about the Full Moon and Eclipse energies? Did they feel disruptive to you, or calming? Interesting or boring? How did you sleep? What changes have you noticed in your energy levels, mood or sleep cycles? Did it feel right to you to charge up your crystals or to go out into the moonlight?
You ALWAYS have the ability to tune in, and to see where something sits with your own intuitive wisdom. Trust yourself above everyone else. Your body knows. Your intuition knows.
What might be right for others, might not be right for you at this particular time.
Listening to your body and your inner wisdom is an important step in knowing and trusting yourself, and in deepening your connection to the world around you.
