The Sun will rise and set regardless. What we choose to do with the light while it’s here is up to us. Journey wisely.Alexandra Elle
At the beginning of every month, I discuss the energies and gifts of the month ahead and how we can best use them to make our lives satisfying, meaningful and productive.
I also choose a card to support the energies of the month. The deck I am using this year is the Native Spirit Oracle by Denise Linn, and September’s card is EAGLE MEDICINE.
September’s energies support Patience, Resilience and Greater Vision
September is a gently encouraging month, even as reality catches up.
This month you may feel overwhelmed with the tasks ahead of you, or by the actions of others. That’s okay. Remember and take heart from that famous saying, ‘Rome wasn’t built in a day’. It takes time to build something meaningful, or to create true and lasting change. Rest if you’re struggling to maintain energy levels or enthusiasm.
This is a great month for committing to any kind of professional development or project that will involve longer time frames. Renovations, redesign or reworking of any kind is also supported for both personal and professional projects.
In September you’re advised to take a longer-term view of your life and the world around you.
Build a team and make your timelines and deadlines realistic.
Break things down into the smallest possible steps, and be okay with tiny amounts of progress or none at all this month.
Recognise that sometimes you need to take two steps back for every step forward, but as long as you keep trying and working towards your goals you will get there, slowly but surely. Be kind to yourself and others.
This is also a time for playing the long game, for working on your strategies, for standing apart from the masses, for finding ways to keep yourself motivated and inspired – or being the one who motivates and inspires others.
Hold onto your vision and your dreams. Don’t give up on them!
Patience will serve you well in September.
So will lashings of self-care and being plugged into the things that elevate, motivate and reconnect you.
Come Nurture Your Heart with Me!
Each fortnight I hold a free gathering online, which is also a lovely sharing, colouring and meditation session. It’s a way for us to connect, heart-to-heart, as intuitive and sensitive souls. It’s a way for me to tune you in to the energies of the weeks ahead, and to give you some tips and teachings for dealing with that, and for building both your metaphysical and self-care skills.
Each session deals with a theme, and there are lovely mindfulness colouring sheets to download too. Of course, if you’d rather bring your own art project you’re more than welcome. Scroll down and you’ll see some delightful examples of the creative projects people have worked on during our get-togethers. This is a session where we can connect, chat, share and be together – and right now that kind of connection is so important.
Our theme this week is ‘The Stars’.
We’ll be talking about the stars as an energetic and symbolic force in our lives, as well as looking at the energy of stars and meteors and how they affect us. I’ll share some tips on how to use starlight for healing, and we’ll do a guided meditation about your Guiding Star.
‘The Stars – Colour and Cuppa’ gathering will be today at 10am Brisbane time (which may be August 31 where you live). To support people in other time zones we are scheduling these live events at various times throughout the year so you can find one that works for you. It’s completely free to join us, and we’ll be holding this gathering via Zoom. All of the details and the link will be in our Facebook Group, The Journeymakers, prior to the event.
If you’re not already a member you can join here:
I’m looking forward to our discussion and to sharing a lovely meditation with you.
Enjoy the gentle energies of September, and give yourself plenty of time for regrouping, relaxation and thinking about your life and how you’d like to shape it over the next few years.
Maybe I’ll see you at our Colour and Cuppa session today too.
Deep breaths and big hugs, Nicole xx
