“Be the one who nurtures and builds. Be the one who has an understanding and a forgiving heart one who looks for the best in people. Leave people better than you found them.”
~ Marvin J. Ashton
Forgiveness is one of the more valuable gifts that we can give ourselves.
The energies of the next three days are well suited for all forms of forgiveness work. It’s one of the big things we are working on here at my Chakra Wisdoms retreat.
In today’s mini online retreat that follows along with our own, I encourage you to sit in that energy of forgiveness. Forgiveness of self. Forgiveness of those who have wronged you. Forgiveness for bad decisions and mistakes and all other manner of hurt and regret and opportunities lost or dreams uneventuated.
I recorded a meditation yesterday during our residential course here in Byron Bay. It is a raw and unedited recording with a few background coughs and snuffles but they won’t disturb your process.
There are also a few concepts and terms that you may be unfamiliar with, so let me briefly explain them here:
- The zero point field is a quantum physics term. Think of it as the space between all matter – a space of darkness and possibility that flows through and links all things, everywhere.
- Your soul anchor is a chakra that sits deep with the earth. Think of it as a small black sphere that is positioned well below your feet and within the liquid part of the earth’s core.
- Your thymus chakra is located on your chest, between your heart and throat chakras. It is turquoise in colour, and is the seat of compassion, forgiveness and oneness energy.
Chakra Wisdoms Forgiveness Meditation
To listen to this meditation, sit or lie with a straight spine. You’re welcome to hold your favourite crystal too. Then simply close your eyes and follow along to the sound of my voice. You’ll need to set aside fifteen minutes for this exercise.
If you’d like to do a little more work around the energy of forgiveness, use your oracle or tarot cards and journal to explore this in more detail.
Shuffle your cards, while holding the question ‘Where have I held myself back by failing to forgive?’
When you have shuffled the cards and they feel ‘done’, select just one card. How you choose that card is up to you. You can split the deck. You could take the top or bottom card. You could fan the cards out and take one from the array.
Place the card face up in front of you.
Clear your mind by closing your eyes and taking one deep breath in and then out. Open your eyes again. Take a minute and look at the picture on the oracle or tarot card.
What stands out for you? Is it an image or a colour? Is it a number or a word? What are your first impressions?
Write these down in your journal.
Now let’s go a little deeper. What feelings or words does this card evoke in your mind when you think about the card and its images in relation to your question. Take five minutes and just write some stream-of-consciousness thoughts down. Don’t censor or judge them. Trust your intuition..
Now repeat this same process for the final two questions:
‘What positive energies do I reclaim by forgiving myself and others?’
‘If I bring my attention to it, where will I get my biggest breakthrough?’
Thinking of you and sending so much love, Nicole xx
PS – Today is our last day of retreat so there will be no blog post tomorrow. I will be catching up on some much-needed sleep. Thanks for your understanding ❤
