Odors have a power of persuasion stronger than that of words, appearances, emotions, or will. The persuasive power of an odor cannot be fended off, it enters into us like breath into our lungs, it fills us up, imbues us totally. There is no remedy for it.Patrick Süskind
You know, I don’t get out much.
Maybe a trip out for a coffee. Maybe a drink with the neighbours. A visit to my Mum’s. An outing to the doctors. A walk on the beach.
But that doesn’t matter. I still put on one of my favourite perfumes every day.
Not for the world. For me.
When my health first deteriorated enough that I was no longer going out to corporate gigs, good perfume became a special occasion thing.
Then I nearly croaked it.
Life became a special occasion.
So, now I wear that good perfume. I use all of the things I kept for good.
And it’s wonderful.
How about you? Are you keeping things for ‘good’ or do you indulge yourself?
I highly recommend using the things that give you pleasure. Life’s too short not to!
Love, and heavenly scents, Nicole xx
