A ritual is the enactment of a myth. And, by participating in the ritual, you are participating in the myth. And since myth is a projection of the depth wisdom of the psyche, by participating in a ritual, participating in the myth, you are being, as it were, put in accord with that wisdom, which is the wisdom that is inherent within you anyhow. Your consciousness is being re-minded of the wisdom of your own life. I think ritual is terribly important.

Today and tomorrow I will be prepping for my New Year’s Eve meditation, burning and release ritual, and for my manifesting ceremony.
There’s a lot to do, but I do the work joyfully, mindfully, because it is important to me.
Tomorrow I’ll share a simple meditation and ritual you can do too, on New Year’s Eve or at any time over the next few days, to tie in with the New Moon in Capricorn on January 2.
You’ll need a quartz-based crystal – think clear quartz, amethyst, rose quartz, citrine, smoky quartz, aventurine – and one other stone of your choice – any kind at all. It doesn’t matter how big they are, and they can even be pendants or jewelry.
I also encourage you to have a journal handy.
