To my mind, ‘magic’ is the hard-to-define quality of the things that stir up mystical feelings like amazement, curiosity, imagination, and above all wonder. Magic is that which renders something beautiful in a spiritual sense. It is that which makes one feel as if the world is more than it is presently understood to be, and yet at the same time the world is working itself out in a good and beautiful way.
Magic underlies the relationship between us, and the greater immensities of birth and death. Thus the experience of being in the presence of something magical is an empowering, uplifting experience. Magic, understood this way, contributes meaning to life.
Brendan Myers
Hey, Lovelies!
Yesterday I held my first Open Office for the year inside my membership. It’s a conference call, where we all come together on Zoom so I can share teaching points and open up the floor to questions, sharing and stories.
Most people outside the Inner Circle think that I’ll be teaching crystals and tarot cards and magical things.
Sometimes, I do.
But more and more I am coming to a place where I feel the need to thread life skills, coping skills, compassion and humanity into the threads of magic, mysticism and wonder.
My community is hallmarked by our sensitivity. It’s what makes us intuitive, empathic and psychic. It’s also what makes life harder. We are deeply aware of the emotions of those around us. We care deeply. We feel everything. We take responsibility for the wellbeing and safety of others. We are there for the ones we love.
Being sensitive like this also predisposes my community to chronic illness, anxiety and burnout.
So, what’s the point of teaching mysticism and magic, if everyone is exhausted, drowning in overwhelm and barely coping? I’m not interested in whether your Chakras are aligned, or your Ascension Vehicle is activated, or whether you’re moving into 5D. I care about whether you are coping in your sensitivity, whether you know yourself and have clear direction for your life, and how well you are able to access and use the talents and gifts you brought to this life. I care about you living well as a sensitive and empathic soul in a world that is not well-designed for people like us. It takes grit to live with your woowoo.

I’d rather teach and share the kind of life skills that allow highly sensitive souls to flourish, to find their flow, to be able to use their sensitivity as a superpower rather than seeing themselves as broken and flawed.
Yesterday we talked about grief, about being triggered, about overwhelm and anxiety. We also talked about self-care. We talked about how to use spiritual tools (meditation, journalling, tarot and oracle cards) as well as life skills (small goals, gratitude, compassion, eating well and getting enough sleep, setting boundaries, reaching out for support) to be able to manage ourselves better.
That is the Spiritual Path I needed, when I set out on my journey. It’s the path I still walk. It’s a path I will always walk. Psychic ability and intuition is meaningless if it is not grounded in reality, in self-care and self-reflection, and in personal growth.
As we become centered in ourselves, and centered in our souls – as we learn to become grounded and connected – then we can see with wisdom and compassion, then we can avail ourselves of the magic, then we can truly connect to and use our gifts.
Self-work is the hardest work you can do. But it’s also the most rewarding. I’m so proud of my community, and of our Inner Circle, for their courage and grit in working with their shadow side, with their humanity and frailty, in order to uncover their strengths. I love the vulnerable sharings within our group that help the sharer and the recipients of their stories to grow more certain in themselves, more clear and self-aware, more self-accepting. It’s a beautiful thing.
My favourite form of mysticism has become the transformation of the human soul.

Are you joining my FREE 30 Day Planner Challenge?
Are you ready to develop more confidence in using tarot or oracle cards for yourself, and for connecting to your intuition? If the answer is yes you will LOVE my upcoming 30 Day Planner Challenge – which is completely FREE.
If you need a bit of direction, inspiration, or help to know where to focus your energy (or lack of energy!) this Challenge is for you. It will also help you to deepen your spiritual and intuitive practices around using the Planner. No prior experience is needed to join my Challenge. I’ll teach you everything you need to know. But you’ll need a copy of my Planner! There are still hard copies available, and you can also purchase a digital download if that works better for you.
Here’s what you need to know:
The 30 Day Planner Challenge will officially start on January 28, 2022 (that’s Australian time – so it might be January 27 where you live).
The Challenge is completely FREE and will be held as a course in our Journeymaker Academy (which is hosted with Kajabi – so you don’t need to be on Facebook to access this course.) Additional support and community can be accessed in our free Facebook Group, The Journeymakers.
The aim of the Challenge is to help you learn to make the best of your Journeymaker’s Planner, and to connect to your intuition and creativity, and better manage stress and anxiety, with a small task or activity every day for 30 days.
You’ll need five minutes each day, although you are welcome to spend more time on each activity if you’d like to do that.
The format of the Challenge will be short daily instructional videos, followed by a short activity using your Planner, cards and crystal.
You’ll need a hard copy or digital copy of The Journeymaker’s Planner (details about how to get your copy at end of this post), a deck of oracle or tarot cards, and a crystal.

How to join:
I will post links to enrollment for the course here on my blog tomorrow and also in our Facebook Group. All you have to do is click the link, and then follow simple instructions.
The actual course lessons will begin on January 28, 2022.
For the next two weeks I’ll be running regular live events in my free Journeymakers Facebook Group to help you get prepped before the Challenge starts on . Relax – these live sessions go for fifteen minutes, so they won’t take a big chunk out of your day, and if you can’t make it to the live event you’ll be able to catch the replay.
JOIN ME FOR THE WARM UPS!
Join me live in our Journeymakers Group on Facebook as I take you through some of the warm-ups and help you get organized before the Challenge starts, pop these times in your Planner (all times are Brisbane, Australia time zone, which may be the day before where you live!) – and remember, if you can’t make it live you can always catch up on the replay. (Yes, you can do the Challenge without the warm-ups too!)
