The only way that we can live, is if we grow. The only way that we can grow is if we change. The only way that we can change is if we learn. The only way we can learn is if we are exposed. And the only way that we can become exposed is if we throw ourselves out into the open. Do it. Throw yourself.

Hello, Lovelies!
This Quarter I am using The Sacred Forest Oracle by Denise Linn, with artwork by Scott Breidenthal, for my weekly oracle readings.
Our card to guide us for the week ahead is 12. Dragonfly Spirit – CHANGE.
2023 is a year for change, creating solid foundations, and for spiritual journeying. It’s a year for personal growth, and for clarifying who you are, what you want, and why you are here.
July invites us to gain perspective in our lives, to rise above our troubles, and to leave the past in the past as we venture forward to what lies ahead.
12. Dragonfly Spirit – CHANGE.
This week, Dragonfly Spirit reminds us that change is seldom linear. Change usually looks like a messy series of looping lines as we go two steps forward, several steps sideways, a few or a lot of steps back, and then some steps forward again. Sometimes change is fast. Sometimes it is slow. Sometimes we need to change direction, to pivot to a new thing, or go back to something we tried before. We change when we are ready to change. And that’s okay.
It’s a beautiful week for revisiting areas that need change in your life. Don’t beat yourself up if you haven’t started yet. Don’t beat yourself up if you started and stopped, or changed your mind, or got sidetracked. This week clarity is coming – even if that clarity is only for your first tiny step. Trust that change is possible, and for the rest of 2023 you can slowly work on repositioning yourself, ready for the opportunities and adventures that 2024 will bring. That’s going to bring a whole lot of personal growth and spiritual growth too. Hooray for that. Growth is good.
You’ve got this. Be brave. Embrace the unknown. Make a start!
My Top Tip For The Week Ahead:
Stop fighting it. And stop being hard on yourself. Allow yourself to make peace with wherever you are at in your life right now, even if it is a long way from where you want to be. Start in a tiny way, and practice lots of self-care and parenting of yourself. It’s okay to feel uncertain and to need reassurance when you are starting out on something new. Commit for the long haul, and let whatever change you need to make take as long as it needs to take – just do you best to keep heading in the right direction, and when you slip up, slip sideways, slip backwards, stop – rest, give yourself a hug, recommit and start over from where you are.
Stuck with creating a satisfying life for yourself or understanding your best direction forward? Maybe you need a session with me to bring some extra clarity and direction. Details here
Crystals to support you this week – Clear Quartz, Amazonite, Turquoise, Smoky Quartz, Blue Lace Agate, Hematite
On the home front Ben’s ute (for those of you who don’t know what a ute is it’s a pickup truck!) is free, our crumpled shed has finally been emptied, and this week the shed will be demolished, ready for a new one to be constructed.
It was wonderful to go through the crystals we had stored there – some of the boxes were things I haven’t opened for 20 years! I did feel very sorry for the guys who had to shift them all. Rocks are heavy!!! When the rocks come out of storage after the shed is rebuilt I’ll have a sale. It’s time, and there are some very special stones here that are ready to go to good homes. Stay tuned for that. Probably closer to Christmas.
I had all my final doctor meetings last week, and now I’m sitting with my results (a mixed bag) while I work out a plan of action. I’m not rushing myself on this. I already have some ideas, but as I worked with my Planner and pulled my cards for July I suddenly felt an urge to go back to a blog post I wrote back in 2014, when I was struggling with intensive and brutal Lyme treatment. My whole life felt like it was on hold back then. Since 2015 I have slowly made gains with my health in some areas, and I’ve slipped back in others, but in the last 2 years I have finally gotten enough cognitive function back that I can write again. I know, you might think that I’ve been writing this whole time, and I have, but not well. For years I couldn’t hold a plot in my head, remember the names of characters, find the word I needed. Until suddenly, something in me switched back on after I moved to the Treehouse, and I find myself able to write again.
I don’t want to waste that. I want to make the most of what I have, while I have it.
That’s what I’ll be thinking about this week.
I’ll also be out of the office from Tuesday until late next week. I have some people to see and things to do. Ben’s planned a little adventure for me. Isn’t he the best!
I’ll write if I can. But I’ll be putting me and Ben first for a few days, so don’t fret if you don’t see a blog post.
I need this deep rest.
Much love, Nicole xx
PS – Here are my July cards. What did you choose for yourself? I’d love to know!
I am praying for you Nicole. You have been an important part of my life for many years. 💕💞💖💖
I did draw my cards on 3rd July but forgot to post.
Outer world: 8 of Wands
Inner world:The Hermit
Deck: The Tarot of Oneness by Robyn Voisey. Beautiful balance.
Thank you for reminding me about change. I adore the card this week and the deck. So glad you are getting away! Your cards for the month are fascinating. What deck is that?
FYI – Nicole’s July 2023 cards she used are “The Shamans Dream Oracle” by Colette Baron Reid & Alberto Villoldo.
What a bloody good post
My card is from the moonology card deck by Yasmine Boland. The message is ( and I hope I translate it right): get out of your self.
I would like that.
