When one door closes another door opens; but we so often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us.

Hello, Lovelies!
This Quarter I am using The Sacred Forest Oracle by Denise Linn, with artwork by Scott Breidenthal, for my weekly oracle readings.
Our card to guide us for the week ahead is 2. Ancient Oak Spirit – STRENGTH.
2023 is a year for change, creating solid foundations, and for spiritual journeying. It’s a year for personal growth, and for clarifying who you are, what you want, and why you are here.
July invites us to gain perspective in our lives, to rise above our troubles, and to leave the past in the past as we venture forward to what lies ahead.
2. Ancient Oak Spirit – STRENGTH
Life is opening doors for you this week. It’s a week of opportunity, support and unexpected but joyful synchronicities. It’s a week for new starts, for gentle beginnings, for small ideas that lead to bigger things. It’s a week where tender new growth can emerge, and what has been damaged or wounded can begin to emerge in a new and healthier form.
You may find yourself needing to pull up the drawbridge to your personal castle so that you can take some time out for yourself. You may want to hermit this week, or to cut down on contact with others so you can spend more time at home, with loved ones, or with projects that are important to you.
On a personal level you are encouraged to pay attention to your health. Do you need more sleep? Is it time to change your diet? Would you benefit from a period of detoxification, or from beginning to move your body more? Is there a health check or procedure you have been putting off? Could you work with a therapist or practitioner for body, mind or spirit to bring healing and rebalance? 2. Ancient Oak Spirit – STRENGTH suggests that you attend to these things, beginning now.
It’s also a week for finding what could end up being your new home, new job, new romance, new passion, new life. There is a magic to the week ahead, so embrace it, and trust in good outcomes.
It’s a time for creativity, for opportunity, for luck and for good fortune.
My Top Tip For The Week Ahead:
This week I encourage you to take personal responsibility and hold yourself accountable for making change happen. Yep, that might feel odd if you haven’t sat in that space for a while, or if you’ve become used to letting everyone walk over you or take care of you. But, ultimately, being able to trust yourself and your ability to look after your own needs will be empowering. So, take action this week. Take steps towards your dreams. Put boundaries in place. Speak your truth. Ask for help. You’ll be glad you did.

You have probably noticed that I’ve been blogging less the last little while.
After a big couple of years of health stuff (on top of the usual stuff), pandemic stuff, and a lot going on behind the scenes, a few months ago I decided to listen to my doctors and give myself a decent rest.
Resting comes hard for me. It takes time to let go of feeling antsy about ‘not doing anything’ and being less available, to get into a rhythm of slow-down, listening to my body and not overriding it with my head.
At first it felt so strange. I have been blogging for nearly twelve years, six days a week (seven at first) unless I was on my death bed, or on a holiday where I had zero internet connection and hadn’t pre-prepared anything.
But, as I persevered through the antsy-ness and actually began to slow down, this incredible shift came over me. I found myself going back to bed in the morning after my meditation, and sleeping an extra hour or two. I found myself going to bed earlier and earlier, sometimes before the sun had even set. It was as if, in giving myself permission to slow down, my body chose to come almost to a complete and much-needed stop.
Instead of my brimful everyday routines, I began to devote myself to special projects, to my little treehouse family, and to sleep. In the time where I would have blogged I began to journal privately again, and some extraordinary magic has happened through that private writing. There hasn’t been much more going on than that, except for some client days, and ongoing teaching with my membership – something that always gives me joy and fills my cup.
Now I’m beginning to recharge. There is a spring in my step more often, a little more energy right down deep in the core of my being. I feel very protective of this bright little spark of energy. I don’t know how big it might grow, or how long it might last, and I don’t want to waste it or extinguish it through doing too much too soon (something I’ve done too many times before).
So, I’m sitting with things, feeling for the right shape of the days ahead, and trusting that the Universe will show me the way. In a year that is all about going within, and creating change, this feels like a perfect alignment for me.
Love, hugs and a tiny guiding light inside me, Nicole xx
PS – the photo of the beach was from one of my late afternoon walks. It was cold, and clear, and very very beautiful.
PSS – I love the graphics on this week’s guiding card. Wouldn’t you love to live in a tree like that, or to have a tree like that as your friend!
Thank you for this
Lovely post. Thanks Nicole🙏💖🌸
Love the July message to rise avove in readiness for what is to come 💜
Thankyou so much Nicole. Really hoping this is a great week.
My first thought of card was shelter. A place where I am welcome and loved and can rest for some time after a long lonely travel. Warm. Cozy. A light in the dark. I would like to close the door and shut the world out.
I love your take on this card, Caroline. Why not use that energy in a visualisation and give yourself the gift of welcome, love, rest, safety, coziness and protection! Big hugs, Nicole xx
