Turning Points

You don’t need any one else’s approval to change your life.
― Germany Kent

Hey, Lovelies.

I wanted to reach out and give you some encouragement today, and to remind you about life’s turning points.

Mostly, we expect that a turning point will be dramatic.

We expect it will be memorable.

We expect it will be obvious.

And sometimes that’s true.

But more often, a turning point is marked by the smallest moment, the simplest thought, the tiniest step, the simplest decision. It is often a seemingly insignificant thing, especially to anyone on the outside looking in, and yet… that thing has weight for us.

We feel that weight, and we lean into it, and we feel ourselves begin to change direction. We recognise something inside us pivot and shift, and we accept, deep down in our bones, that after this turning point change is inevitable.

If it’s a turning point, you won’t miss it. Sooner or later, you’ll just KNOW.

Today I’m reminding you that life’s turning points might not be noticed by anyone but you, and even then your turning point might make the smallest ripple in your current circumstances. Still, one small ripple can travel a long way.

In a month that is all about embracing change, I invite you to acknowledge the ripples, and trust that those ripples can change your life.

I’m holding space for you, and cheering you on.

All my love, Nicole xx

Hi! I'm Nicole Cody. I am a writer, psychic, metaphysical teacher and organic farmer. I love to read, cook, walk on the beach, dance in the rain and grow things. Sometimes, to entertain my cows, I dance in my gumboots. Gumboot dancing is very under-rated.

  1. Such pertinent advice.
I have felt such a turning point in the past couple of weeks, it was a simple thought but held so much weight – just as you described. The ripples have been rapid and far reaching.
So many seem to be feeling the same in their own lives. What’s happening right now in the world? Is this shift in consciousness for us to embrace love of humanity and counter balance the conflict in the world?
